The owner and the mechanics are very nice and honest. They are skillful and certainly NOT overpriced. I even got free checkup sometimes.Thats why whenever I went there, the place was never empty. They are mostly busy so you better call them beforehand.

I been at chinatown Auto Repair., 3 times. i did meet the owner of the place. he’s so friendly and the most important He’s so honest person. he did fixed my car. He will tell you what is wrong with your car. The most important, at this place. They dont seem to take advantage of any costumer, In any way. sometimes they are so busy, I recommend that you be patient. and try to come back on another day. I recommend this place……

I have been coming to Chinatown Classic since Winter of 2012. I always call beforehand and explain to Wayne what the problem is and hes always able to give me a general idea of what I might be dealing with. He tells me the best times and days to drop off my car so I dont have to wait around playing the guessing game and I have never been treated unfairly because I am a woman. The work lasts, my car runs well, whatever is quoted is what you pay, and I have never been overcharged for parts or labor. I live in the West Suburbs and come here for major work and will continue to!

The owner of business gave me attitude for asking him about my vehicle that was in the shop from 11am-6pm still not repaired then told me I was being cheap and irritating him an just come pick up my vehicle he dont want to service it anymore. Clearly he was having a bad day. But as a business owner you suppose to understand and treat everybody fairly but this time it was the other way around. Wont send anyone to him or go back again.

Been going to Wayne for 30 years. Never had a bad experience. Always honest and fair with his prices. Hell tell you if he can get aftermarket parts or if you need original dealer parts. Hell always have the best options for the vehicle. If he cant fix it, hell tell you where to take it for the best service. Theres one crabby guy with an attitude here but I ignore him, he hasnt been a people person for 30 years that hes been there. Dont let him keep you away this shop. Ask for Wayne, the owner, if you have to deal with the crabby guy.

This store is a scam. Never go to this store. Two guys checked my car and they discussed with each other in Cantonese, but they don’t know actually I can understand Cantonese. So they told me they can fix it by 850 bucks while i learned from their discussions that they are able to fix it with 700. I also got a quote from another auto repair shop and they said 700.

Wayne has 2 Greedy Boys working for him. They are very manipulative. Wayne gave me a quote to fix 1 broken fan on my car ac and thats why I decided to let him fix it..When I got there to pick up my car I was told wayne left and I got a bill for over $400 to replace 1 broken fan that they replaced with after market!.and told me 1year warranty for the aftermarket Cooling Fan. There are better and honest mechanics around.... THEY OVER CHARGE YOU WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR VEHICLE... Stay away. Dishonest people..If they told me before drop off it was going to cost $400. I would have never agreed and never drop of my car.

Had something rattling under the hood and figured it was just a protective plate that needed to be more securely attached or just removed. Wasnt anything that was dependent on driving conditions. Brought my car in, mechanic found the issue and fixed it in 20 minutes. 5 stars bc he charged me much less than the hourly rate that he could have. Ive been twice now and its been nothing but quick honest service. Its definitely no frills though so if you prefer a place with a waiting room and coffee then stay clear.

Good mechanics with fair prices. I recently bought a used car and took it in: I wanted a new timing belt, a couple minor things, and a general inspection. Wayne took a look, fixed the minor things, told me the timing belt had recently been replaced and so wasnt necessary (saved me a good $300--his quote on the timing belt was on the low end of what I expected), and replaced a different belt that was cracked. Ill be in for any work my car needs in the future.

Had an oil change at this place, kinda rush job, didn’t even check the oil dipstick after pouring new oil in the engine as I remember, thought he was experienced so I trusted him, after a couple of thousand miles later I found out the oil is overfilled, way passed the max mark on the dipstick, unbelievably irresponsible.
