Pretty good car dealer. They have a lot of people working here. They like to explain fixes very clearly. They also treat you with a lot of respect and see value in the word customer.

Had been going to this autotech and felt they were honest but got put with Tom twice, and his negotiation tactics are very untrustworthy. 2 different cars he came up with around $2000 of charges using fear tactics to scare me if I didnt fix. Went to another autorepair was told there were no problems with my car.

Carlos went from my mechanic to my friend in relatively short order. Hes as honest and humble as he is resourceful and improvisational. Youll never feel stupid when youre talking to him because hes incredibly kind and understanding and youll never have to worry about whats going on if hes handling your business because his persona matches his actions. Most mechanics want you to feel special and included so they can slide by with shoddy work and rob you, but no matter how many years you end up going to see him, never will you be staring at the ugly truth that eventually comes with 99% of mechanics.

I went in to get my horn fixed (it stopped working randomly last week) and mentioned an upcoming trip. They took the time to inspect the car and make sure it was safe and ready for my upcoming long haul. They gave me a competitive price, got all the work done the same day, and every single person I encountered was incredibly sweet, pleasant, and more than helpful. I owe a safe 14 hour drive to this amazing team. They have done a good bit of work on my car over the last two years and are now my trusted mechanic. Cannot speak highly enough of my experience with them!

Expensive and slow but good quality work

Really like most of the folks here, especially Lily and Robert! And many of the other mechanics I have worked with have been really straight-forward and professional.Avoid Tom if you dont like getting down to though! He quite literally explained to me what a mechanic does and what a radiator does, despite me telling him multiple times that I didnt need the explanation. When I asked him questions about his inspection findings, he got very impatient and eventually hung up on me.But, as long as you have the patience for that, or avoid Tom, I would definitely recommend AutoTech for your mechanic needs!

I was so happy with the service and care that my truck was given at auto tech.The shop I was taking it to for oil changes was not rotating my tires as I suggested.As a result I had some tire damage and other problems.Robert and his team got everything done for a great price and reasonable amount of time.Great shop with awesome customer service!

Don’t service car with these guys. They are fraudulent and overcharge you!I had very bad experience with these guys. My car had power steering issue. They told me to replace the entire power steering hose. They estimated me $400 for the same. I asked them to go ahead for the required service. Once they done with it, they found that the issue with my cars power steering is not resolved. They called me and estimated for another repair of $400, which was ridiculous. If they don’t know what is the exact issue then how they can charge for whooping amount?I had no option but to repair with them as they were giving me my car with unresolved issue.I had gone with such a horrible experience.Before you repair with these guys, just think these aspects and take the appropriate decision.

This is THE BEST garage weve used in Chicago. We bring our 2008 Honda in for regular maintenance and are always impressed with the friendliness, honesty, and expediency of the garage staff. Carlos and his team are patient and excellent at explaining all things automotive. We had taken our car into a dealership for a recall part and received a mult-point inspection from the dealerships garage. They gave us a quote for close to $1000 for standard replacements. The same day we called AutoTech Auto Repair and they responded with a far more reasonable quote, and did not nickel and dime us for filters or any oil we provided ourselves. I highly recommend this garage!

I brought my truck in to get a noise looked at on Friday. No call to let me know if itll be taken care of that day even though I requested so. I finally had to reach out on Saturday to find out the truck will not be looked at that day either.I understand youre busy, but a common courtesy phone call letting me know just that would open me up to other option and not have my truck sitting at your shop for no reason.ZERO communication. I always receive a phone call with an explanation of everything found during inspection when I bring my Fit in for general maintenance. Questions are answered thoroughly. It is also very convenient to pick up or drop off my car anytime using the cashier through the gas station.

Peter and Robert were very helpful and knowledgeable. They explained thoroughly what was wrong with car and what they were going to need to do to fix it. They told me the price upfront called me before doing any work. They even have free bikes to get around while your car is being worked on. (not to mention they even advertise that they can drop you off or pick you up if need be, just have to ask) The service was prompt and quick and Id recommend them to anyone needing car repairs.

I never post reviews, but I was blown away by the customer service here that it was worthy of my first review.I have had terrible car repair anxiety for years, whether it be due to how much money Id have to pay or if I had to deal with places trying to upsell me because Im a woman and dont know much about cars - but this place eased my worries the second they called me. When I got on the phone with one of the guys (I regret not remembering his name), he basically told me, Im going to give you a list of everything we checked out and things that need to be done, but well narrow it down after to take care of the more immediate things in order to fit your budget. To top it off, they left a bottle of wine and a lottery scratch-off as a gift, which was not necessary but definitely appreciated. I highly recommend this place and I dont see any reason for me to look elsewhere if I need car repairs.

Autotech Repair has taken care of my cars since about 2008. The crew is great- friendly/professional/efficient. They offer pickups and dropoffs when working on your car, if available and they will take very good care of your car. Their customer service is also top-notch. They do get very busy sometimes but they are very honest about their schedule and deadlines and manage expectations accordingly. Love them!

Average tast, ingredients and self-serviced. Frozen seafood, yet good quality. Friendly workers. No servers really--self-service.

My experiences at AutoTech Auto Repair have been terrific. I have a high-mileage Subaru that has been running great thanks in part to the care and expertise of the great mechanics at AutoTech. The crew is always pleasant on the phone and in person, and the work gets done in reasonable time.

These people straight up lied to me. Told me it was going to be over $1000 to fix my rack and pinion, took the car to another shop and they told me I only needed to replace my power steering pump for $100, they tried to screw me over. Really sad to see. Dont go here.

My wife and I woke up one morning and my wife had a flat tire on her car. We were both in a rush, but we were able to handle everything together with just my car that day. When we came home, I knew I had to fix her flat because the next morning we needed both cars. However, it was 5pm in the evening. I put on the spare tire and I had no idea where to go that late in an evening. We decided to stop in here and see if they can help.We walked in 5 minutes before they closed, but they were very friendly and fixed our tire. They also took the time to but the spare back for us. Most places would not be so friendly to help when you walk in 5 minutes before closing time.And to top things off their price for fixing the tire was not outrageous. I would definitely use them again.

I just filled my tire with air the night before and the next day I see it is low again. I knew I must have had a slow leak. I dont have a go-to shop. I remember seeing this place once when I went to get gas. I pulled up, walked in, and my first thought was the they were very professional, but yet personable. They took care of me within about 15-20 minutes. They charged me only $20 to fix the tire, although it was supposed to be $35 (they showed me the screen). I tried to give a tip, but they wouldnt have it. I walked to the convenient store part of the gas station where you go to pay. The woman took care of me. She was friendly. She treated me like family. I asked her where my car was. She points out the window and as Im turning around, another guy is pulling my car up. Wow. My mouth was open. Words cant express how over-the-top my experience was here.

This place was great to deal with! I had my rear breaks and suspension replaced for what I thought was a reasonable price. They took tons of photos for me to see the repairs needed and sent them to me along with the quote in a timely manner. They did not try to push tons of unnecessary work on me. And when I went to pick my car up I had a nice bottle of wine waiting for me in the front seat. I also loved that I could pick up my car after hours by stopping in the BP station next door. Makes it very convenient for someone who works during typical business hours. Would highly recommend!

I’ve always hated going to mechanics because I always feel like I end up getting more work done than I originally planned, but I NEVER feel any concerns when I come here. Brought my car in for the first time, last minute, when the Check Engine light came on. The shop was very busy on a Saturday morning and I really had no expectation of getting it back before Monday afternoon. Not only did they diagnosis the problem, but stayed until after the posted closing time to finish the work and I was able to pick up the car that evening. I definitely will be back!

We had an electrical failure that prevented our car from being able to be adequately evaluated for our emissions testing. We brought it to AutoTech (corner of Foster and Broadway) and they verified what was going on. They advised to log some miles on the car to build up data in the on board computer and bring it back for retesting. We brought it back about 5 times for retesting. They refused to accept any money. They did not want to conduct any unnecessary testing or repairs. After about three weeks, they finally consented to take a deeper look. They brought in a specialist from their other location, and everyone agreed they had never seen a problem like this before. However, they were able to reset the computer and get it working. This is what we would have expected, and we would have been more than happy if they had stopped at this point. However, they then took the car out driving to load adequate data into the computer AND took it to the state emissions center to have it pass the test. They far exceeded anything I have experienced (or heard of) from a mechanic. The final bill was within the range they quoted (though less than the amount I expected I initially expected). They will get all of my business and referrals from now on!

Ive been going here for several years now, with a Honda Civic and now my Honda Fit. I trust them and find the service friendly and convenient (you can pick up your car after the shop closes at connected gas station).

A construction screw got embedded in one of my tires, and Autotech was able to fit me in same day it happened -- even though I didnt discover the problem until 4:00 pm, and called them at the end of the day. They did a patch/plug, and two months later it has held up fine. Friendly, knowledgeable service.

I went here because of the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. I know very little about cars, but when my car started making a terrible smell and unusual amount of smoke came billowing from the exhaust, I knew I had to get it checked out. I told Victor at the shop about the issues over the phone and he told me I should bring it in. When I got there today, Victor helped me fill out the paperwork and told me they would discount the diagnostic fee if I ended up getting my car fixed there. He also offered me a ride. I told him I was just going to the nearby redline and he insisted. Later this afternoon, Victor called after two mechanics inspected the car and found what they believed to be the cause of the problem. He gave me a very reasonable quote and asked if I wanted to have it fixed. I said yes and I asked if they could please check the brakes because I remember them squeaking. Victor said he would have them checked. He called back 10 minutes later and let me know that the brakes were fine and were probably squeaking because of the cold. He said he didnt want to sell me new brakes when I didnt need them, because thats not how they do business. They finished the repair the same day I dropped off the car and it was ready for pickup when I got off work. When I came to pick up the car, not only does the car run great but Victor had left a bottle of champagne for me! I am extremely pleased with the service here, will come back when I have any issues, and recommend this place to anyone looking to have your car serviced.

The customer service is fantastic. My car had to be towed late on a Saturday during the holidays. By Monday night, they had finished the extensive repairs. It was pricey because my brakes ended up having to be replaced, but it was very reasonable for the amount of work and parts that went into the repair.For the ladies--Originally I gave the people in the office my dads number, because sometimes there is a tendency to take advantage of women because they assume we dont know what were talking about when it comes to car repair. Im so happy to report that the people who talked to both my dad and I treated us exactly the same. I didnt get any condescending remarks, and I feel like they treated me very fairly.This is a great place, and Ill be taking my business here from now on.

They gave me free coffee while they checked out my vehicle, and when repairs began, one of them was nice enough to give me a lift home so I wouldnt have to hang around. He even stopped at the bank for me on the way so I could run an errand. When it was time to pick up my car, the price for repairs was very reasonable and included a discount coupon for the next time I needed service! I will keep going back here for sure. Every woman in Chicago knows that sometimes, when you bring your car into an auto shop, the technicians assume you dont know anything and try to take you and your wallet for a ride. I had the impression that these professionals would NEVER do something like that and coupled with their excellent service and fair pricing it has won my total loyalty!

I took my car here based on the reviews and it was the closest shop to my place. My car was making a weird noise and had a smokey smell. It was discovered that there were problems with the alternator, tensioner, AC, all brake pads, rear rotors and calibers. They informed me the rear calibers were locking up. This was obviously a lot of problems so I decided to sell the car. When my buyer took it to their own shop that they trusted, during repair it was discovered that all brake pads, rotors, and calibers were in good condition. Please do not add problems that are not there to make more money off of your customer. I do not like to leave one star reviews but this is unacceptable and people need to know that this has happened here on at least one occasion.
