With so much frustration with the service provided by my dealership, I decided to try a new place. Because of the very high rating, I brought my car for repair at Auto Tecx. It did not disappoint. Service was great and I feel I can trust them.

Well it happened again. I went somewhere other than Auto Tecx to get my brakes done because I was short on time and the mechanic said that he would be able to do it quickly at a discounted price. The saying. you get what you pay for rings true. I took it to Auto Tecx a few weeks later for an oil change and they discovered the poor work done on my brakes. I so appreciate their standard of excellence, honesty and fairness. My advice to anyone needing car service go to Auto Tecx they are trustworthy and competent in providing service that you can depend on.

The staff was very friendly when I walked in and try togive you reasonable prices for parts and labor when theres wiggle room. They were informative and walked me through each step for each item that needed attention and what my possible options were. At no time did I feel like they were trying to make a quick buck or screw me over. They also email you a copy of the inspection with photos and videos of the items in need of repair. Very professional and responsive. Indeed meticulous and knowledgeable regarding car repair. This was a big help to me as I havent worked on or owned a vehicle in 17 years. So I didnt feel comfortable jumping back into it again after being rusty all these years. Im grateful for the recommendation I got for this place and am thankful for the work they did. This is coming from someone who has left a 5 star review before…brought my car in telling them about acceleration issues. Claimed nothing was wrong with my car besides the fact that I needed a new battery and mount for my battery. They charged me $850 for it(Huge price gauge). My car still has acceleration issues…don’t you think if you spent nearly a G on car repairs they should be able to give you your car back in working condition? Never bringing my car back here again.UPDATE AND RESPONSE TO OWNER:I am posting under an alias because you have my home address.I took my car to a different shop and they identified it was a transmission problem. This is my first time with this garage and I used them on a whim, but I am delighted to report that I am fully converted and will be using them for all my vehicle related needs. The staff was very communicative, up front, and very warm when discussing the needs for my car. I truly appreciated their candor. The work was done in a very timely manner and they offered to provide me rides in the interim (to and from my place) while my car was in the shop. What a fantastic team! The staff is accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable. My car had several brake-related lights come on, and being a newer car owner in the city I wasn’t sure where to take my vehicle. I am so delighted I chose this shop as not only are they affordable and efficient, but they also worked with my schedule to process a full inspection within my schedule. Moreover, they shared a very detailed report with photos and videos giving me a full run down and walking me through what needs imminent work versus what will continue to do for the time being. I havent actually gotten a paid service from them but the service they offered was very good. They looked at my brakes and didnt offer me unnecessary service. They werent able to figure out the problem but they gave solutions. Hopefully when I do get a paid service they can be as helpful.Slash that. Not helpful at all.

Very clean garage and great service. Employees were all very courteous and excellent customer service. They have a cool application where they sent me photos of my brakes to show me they were low and links to gather more information. Very transparent. Very fast service, as my brakes were coming off my new ones were being delivered and installed. Prices were extremely competitive and better then other shops. This was my fist time there and I will not hesitate to go back and will refer my family and friends. I actually drove away from an auto shop without thinking I paid too much and received quality work and parts. Thanks guys!!!

Great place. My first visit after unsatisfactory experiences at the dealership service center. Saad was extremely helpful and courteous, driving me home and then picking me up after work was completed the next day. All the needed labor and parts were clearly explained. Car is performing beautifully. These will be my go-to guys from now on.

This place is the best. Truly. My check engine light came on and I was due for my car to be tested for emissions. They did a full report with images and videos. You can see every nook and cranny of the car. They came up with a long term maintenance plan which I need as the car is now ten years old and is getting grumpy. They did what was necessary to repair my car for the test that I needed. It was quick and was not expensive. I loved that part. The car passed the test!!! No problems. I’ll need to take the car back in for other maintenance issues, but at this point I’m fully confident that they will take care of my car and be honest with me. I don’t remember everyone’s names but I do remember Basit. He was so quick to text me and was very patient every time I asked a question. They all are patient and kind. I’m so glad I found this place. It’s in walking distance to my home on Sheridan and Greenleaf. I love it. I am so grateful!!!!

I was surfing the Internet for the replacement of emergency tire. I reached out to Auto Tecx and they said they will take care of it right away. I drove there, met Saad, sat there for about an hour and a half. They had a brand new tire that I had to replace and install (amazing). When I sat there, I noticed they were doing body work. I asked Saad, if they can fix the bad paint work and installation on my diffuser. He took a look and said, with the paint and the assembly back properly, Im going to need the car for two days for the paint to dry properly. Well, as promised, my car was ready to go out of the shop and with a remarkable job well done. Thanks Saad for delighting your customers.

I had bought a used car in December and discovered there were several problems that the dealer failed to disclose. One issue was to do with the transmission. When I first brought my car in, they were completely honest with me an told me it wasn’t really worth fixing because of the issues. Long story short, I needed a car and had to get it fixed. About a month later I had to bring my car back in because of a cracked axle seal. They ended up giving me a discount because of all the previous work/ money I had just spent getting my car repaired. 10/10 recommend!

So our story started with like a nightmare. Our car broke down and some random guy not associated with Auto Tecx hustled us into a really expensive tow. We were angry, stressed and agitated. Once we got to Auto Tecx it has been nothing but bliss. They are so comforting and informative about what services they can provide and how it will benefit our vehicle. They are super easy to reach, everytime getting back to us with info within 5 minutes. They replaced our alternator, battery, belt and headlight. We are very thankful that they took a very stressful situation and made it easy and smooth. We will be back.

Came in with a completely shot brake system. Rotors, pads, calipers, fluid hoses needed to be replaced. Saad got it all done in a day and gave me a very honest price for it. Not only did he give me a great price for it, he also told me what I could have done to save a lot of money for myself. Never have I had such a good experience at an auto shop until I came here.

I definitely recommend Auto Tex as your friendly neighborhood autoshop! I brought in my 2013 Hyundai Sonata for a wiring/electrical issue where my brake lights worked consistently but my tail lights would not. They let me drop off my car the very next morning and even though I told them that since I’m working from home it wasn’t urgent for me to get the car back, it was ready for pickup the next day! After completing their diagnostics, they called me to let me know what they needed to do and the cost which seemed really reasonable compared to the dealership charging an arm and a leg for the same service. I noticed that their lobby and shop were very clean and organized and their Covid protocols were great with everyone wearing masks and disinfecting the lobby area and card machine. Saad is the man, he was really friendly and explained everything to me at a basic level that I could understand without being condescending like I’ve experienced at other shops. He also remembered my friend who recommended them to me even though it was more than 3 years ago that she brought her car in, I think that speaks volumes for their level of customer care!Adding that this is for the Auto Tex on Clark, not Touhy, I’m not sure if they’re related.

I dropped off my car here after a horrible experience from Mercedes Benz Dealership. I went to 2 different dealers they didnt make any sense. They where charging me over 2k for repairs. I came here and they where honest and my total cost came out to less than $900 and my car is running great. They where extremely professional and communication was great. I would highly recommend.
