I took my car in a couple days ago to check out a flat tire, oil change, and some help with my license plate screws which were all messed up. From start to finish, everyone was so helpful! They took care of me promptly and had great prices! Im so glad I found this shop. I feel way more confident as a car owner knowing that Ive got this shop in my neighborhood. Highly recommend!

This place is great. They were able to handle my car emergency right away and I feel like I paid a really fair price. Dan followed up with me via text after the repair to make sure everything was running ok with the car, which is a class act in my opinion.

I have been here about 5 times over the last few years. The last time I went they took forever and were way behind. This time, I made an appointment 2 days ago to get an oil change. My light on the dash is on, and it was due. I have a 4 hour drive tonight so I figured it would be perfect to get it done today. They made an appointment for me, two days ago, for today at 2pm. I get a call at 1:20pm saying they overbooked and can’t take me. Now I can’t go on my trip today because my car won’t be able to make it. They also overcharge. Safe to say I won’t be returning.

Auto Repair For Less Is the best. One day in 2019, my car started to over heat as I was driving down LSD. It was a Saturday at 4:00, I thought to myself who would be open. I got on google and searched immediately. Auto Repair less was the closes place to my location. I gave them a call explain my situation. Dan (who I did not know at the time was the owner) said come over right now. The fact they were closing in 2hrs and still took my car and order me a new radiator. They have been my go to ever since. Most places you need a appointment for big repairs. But Auto Repair For Less will work with you and get the job done at the best convenience. I highly recommend them! They have kept my 2002 car running like New..

If I could give a negative star i would nothing is for less in this shop they are over pricing.To start off with someone stole my daughters Cadillac converter off her car.This was the nearest shop to her so she took it there they installed a new catalytic converter then they broke her ignition key and had the nerve to say that it was like that so they charged me for a new ignition switch they stated that the exhaust donut was damaged and was charging double the regular price so I had the car taken to my mechanic they replace the broken donut for half the price that they were offering to fix it then my mechanic noticed that dish shop installed the catalytic converter backwards who does that🤔 so I spoke with the manager from the shop and they replaced it with a brand new one and he gave my twenty-year-old daughter attitude I was on the phone with her listening to him like if it was her fault they made a mistake I do not recommend this shop to anyonePosted a picture to show the hack job they did as well

MUST READ😇😇I drove into the beautiful city of Chicago from Wisconsin for a few days of tourism. Driving down Lake Shore drive my Jeep starts to overheat! It was bad, smoke all over Irving Park Rd.  Here Im thinking its Saturday shops are closed or will close early no way Im getting my Jeep back today plus I have to work tomorrow (Sunday), I managed to get the Jeep to the nearest shop which happened to be Auto Repair 4 Less. Spoke to Dan and he gave me an estimate for the radiator, hoses and possibly the fan (yes the fan needed replacement as well). I was sure I wasnt going to get my Jeep back that day or even make it into work the next. It must of been 3pm when I took the Jeep in and the shop was to close at 5pm, I was worried and I think Dan noticed it, with him knowing we were from Wisconsin. His actual words to me were Dont worry I aint going to leave you without your vehicle. Keep in mind shop closed at 5pm, at 530pm Dan calls me and said it will be ready by 6pm. Moral to all this is dont just take your vehicle to a great shop, take it to people that are going to treat you like you should be treated. To Dan; thanks for heads up on the rest of the work my jeep needs, the shop is a bit far from where I live but if I lived any closer this would be the shop I would use for my mechanic needs. I appreciate everything you did for me that Saturday. God bless and dont ever change that welcoming personality that you have.

Decent car repair and services, they will get your car in quick. The prices are alright, but nothing too “low” - in fact they’re just slightly lower than dealer prices. Regardless the work will be done as you desire, and I can admit to always having a quality and timely turnaround here. You will always get your car in and out. Make sure to inform them you need your car early or else the other cars will come before you. Dan is a kind and helpful guy

Made a request for an appointment online, never heard back. Called and left a voice mail, never heard back. Its been weeks.

They did right by me in both the timeline and price. they also didnt try to over sell me on things I didnt need. its nice to see some people are still honest.

I have been taking my car here for the last few years and am always impressed by their affordability and quality of work. This week, I had my catalytic converter stolen and they had it ordered and replaced within 2 days, they also helped me with four other repairs at the same time and Dan was very transparent and communicative about expectations, options, and price. Fantastic quality work and services for a very reasonable price. Will be coming here for all my car needs for the life of my car.

These guys are courteous, respectful, helpful and most of all trustworthy! It is such a blessing to have a repair facility that you completely trust. They are very detailed in explaining the repair needed and will answer all of my questions.

Left my car here to get fixed and come back the next day with my key snapped in half and told that is wasn’t their problem. Told me I have an ignition problem even although I’ve been able to start my car daily without snapping the key in half.

They are also honest, its not easy to find people who care about the person before trying to make as much money as possible. Very helpful, and willing to work with you. Definitely recommend. I will be going back.

This is one of the few places where Ive actually been talked out of getting unnecessary repairs. The owners here are honest and friendly, and the turnover is insanely fast (usually just a few hours from dropoff, and they often have openings the same day). Work is always very solid. Ill never go to the dealer again.

********DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANY REPAIR********* This is the worst mechanic shop ever. The staffs have no courtesy and refused to get what is wrong with my car fixed. They had no clue but charged me for a wrong thing.Shady and proud man who called himself the manager. If you do not want to go into confrontation with anyone please avoid this mechanic.

Ive been here twice in the past year.The first time, I heard strange noises from my Honda Fit and had them diagnose the issue. They confirmed what a remote mechanic I trust had guessed was the issue: I needed to have the struts replaced. Also, they notified me that my front brake pads needed replacement--they were indeed quite worn. They charged me less than half of what the dealer quoted me and the service was prompt and I didnt have to make an appointment. I have had no problems since that service.Second, I needed the battery replaced on the Fit. It only took 15 - 20 minutes. Again, no appointment needed. Of course, I called first to see if they were busy. Oh, one reason this simple service impressed me is that I had first gone to Midas to have the battery replaced. Midas had no idea which battery my Fit needed! Apparently the Fit uses a non-standard Honda battery. Midas didnt have the right size and couldnt locate one in Chicago either. I went to Auto Repair For Less and they had exactly the battery I needed. They knew my car.I need to get my AC recharged and I am planning to take it here.

Great location, however i chose this place as my brakes werent working. Took them to Dan to get a quote, and when he gave me my price I told him I wanted to seek other quotas. (It was too expensive) I turn my car on to potentially come back at a later time, and my car at this point had NO BRAKES at all. Not sure how they let me leave, but I call that a mechanic that does not care. Also why did they mess with my vechile to where they had to mess up the brakes completely when they did brake a little before?

I had some unexpected problems with my brakes. Needing the vehicle, I looked for a shop that could get the job done as soon as possible. After a little research, I called Auto Repair 4 less and spoke wth Nick. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and since it was already early evening he had me bring the vehicle in first thing in the morning. The repairs were done by mid-morning and I had my car back. I appreciated the fact that he got me in so fast. Nick explained what was needed and gave a quote before proceeding. The work was well done and the price was good. Thanks Nick for the quick service.

DO NOT GO HERE!! PLEASE READ!!If I could rate it less than a zero star I could, whatever you do avoid this mechanic!I went in to get my freon recharged a week ago since my a/c wasnt too cold. After getting my car back the problem persisted so I brought it back to get checked out further assuming they may have recharged the freon incorrectly or there was a leak. I was called back and told that the air compressor is out and would cost about $600 for parts and labor to replace. Though that is ridiculous itself that wasnt the real reason for this review. After several days of driving with absolutely not a/c I decided it was enough and had a family member with years of car experience take a look at it. He tested the compressor which had no power running to it and upon examining it further noticied that the power connector had been yanked apart, completely destroyed, and simple stuck back together with a piece of electrical tape. After fixing the cord and recharging the freon (which obviously was never done in the first place) the compressor began working again and I had air once again. Again, a bad compressor is what this mechanic said was the issue, when in reality it was working fine.The real issue was caused by one of this shops mechanics themselves! They broke the power connector for the compressor, then wanted to charge me $600 to replace the entire thing which they broke! Then when I went back in to talk to them about what I had found out they acted as though that connector was old and since it was broken they needed to replace the whole thing. Really?? They broke something in my engine then had the nerve to tell me itll be $600 to fix what they did?! Even though I knew what they did and their half-a** job to try to fix it, they still never took blame and simply apologized. They kept trying to convince me that it was still the compressor that was causing the issue (which I remind you is working fine still several days after my family member fixed it). Honestly, at least have some decency to step up and take blame for what you guys did.This auto shop is a joke and a scam! Theyll lie to you about what the issue is, then try to rip you off. Or better yet, if they dont know whats wrong, theyll just destroy something in the engine and charge you to fix it!There are plenty of auto shops in the city, so whatever you do avoid this one!! They may be one of the worst!

It is a great place for me taking 3 different cars over 3 years period. They fix your car on the way the problem wont come back again.Some times it might be a bit expensive but it is worth it.

Disclosure: Since I havent had any work done here I cant state what its like, but I dont get a good vibe. However, I do replace my own oil and do my own car work (when I can), but I did need their assistance in removing a stripped oil pan bolt. They did it, it took 2 minutes, but then wanted to charge me for a tool they broke. Do I have to pay for that? Id think that would be a part of typical business operating expenses - something they should account for. Anyways, I negotiated down and gave em $20. Another time I rolled in with some used oil (I know all auto places have a storage unit). I was pretty nice and asked if theyd take it - they coldly said no. I asked where I could drop it off and they just shrugged - no words.
