This my third time pulling up to this place trying to get a nail taken out of my tire and plugged. I work around the corner and contestantly get nails in my tires in the alley parking as. When I pulled up no one was working the guy literally told me “where busy” while standing there doing nothing. Seemed like it wasn’t a job they could of taxed me on so they didn’t even care to do it. Barley even acknowledged me when I asked. Cause the last two times I came they said the same thing they where busy and pointed at the cars that where being worked on with no one working on them. This place reads of a company that only wants to service you if it’s a job they can sit on so they can tax you for labor. Certified lazy automotive place.

Honest and solid work. My fiancé’s SUV had symptoms of a very expensive problem and I fully expected to pay high dollar. They identified it as a much simpler problem and only charged for labor. I needed a new wheel bearings on my car: they identified the driver’s side as being the primary issue, with a slight issue with the passenger side bearings. When I asked “do you think I need to replace the passenger side, as well?” (to which mechanics looking to make a quick additional buck would reply “it’s a good idea”), they said “not at all, you can just come back in if the passenger side gets worse”. I have a close family friend who is a mechanic in a much cheaper market than Chicago, and Augusta & Paulina’s prices where almost identical to the price quoted by my friend. I place a very high value on honesty and so far this shop has been very honest and forthright.

These guys are the best mechanics in the city.I took my car in for an oil change, two belt replacements, some small welding, and shocks work and instead of It being an arm and a leg they gave me a good deal, had the car ready the next day, and really fixed all the problems I brought it in for.honestly, oil changes to brake jobs, windows to motors, serpentine belts to tune-ups, bring your car in here. These guys know their business and they know how to treat you right.

I have been going to Augusta & Paulina Auto for several years. They are honest, fairly priced, and quick. One time my battery died when I was in the area and they walked over with a portable jumper to get the car to the shop. Another time I had to get the car towed there (alternator died) and the AAA guy said he takes cars there all the time. I dont hesitate to refer anyone to the shop and will continue to go there in the future.

These guys went above and beyond! They were super quick to get my car fixed and had a little hiccup and they didnt just resolve it but went above and beyond to take care of my car! There is no other mechanic shop that I will be going to except for these guys! No matter where I live in the Chicago area!

It can be hard finding a reputable shop to work on BMWs and Audis, but A&P can do both with reasonable prices and quick turnaround. I take all my cars to A&P whenever there is an issue.

For me, I was looking for a place that I could trust: with my car and just generally not to screw me. Robin is honest, he gives you options and tells you where you should put your priorities. If something could be fixed but isnt essential, he tells you that honestly and lets you choose, not ever pushing anything. He took wonderful care of my VW Golf and was very open and flexible in fitting me in when I urgently needed.I trust this shop and I trust Robin and I feel very happy to have them as a resource

I love these guys. They do great work, are fairly priced, reliable and friendly. It feels great to have a trusted mechanic in the neighborhood. It’s the only place we take our car for everything from oil changes to more extensive repair work.

This place is awesome. The service is wonderful and they always get me in right away. Their work and prices are great too. The people working there are so friendly. I have been there a few times already and its definitely my new go to place. They dont hassle you or try to take advantage. Its an all around great shop with quick service.

This place is great. They do good work, stand behind it, charge fair prices, and dont try to upsell unnecessary work. Very honest about what needs to be fixed and what does not. Also very nice and accommodating. Its the only place Ill go to get work done on my car these days.

My ride is getting fixed up right this very minute. when I dropped it off, Robert let me use his screwdriver to fix replace my own spark plug wires, distro cap and rotor, right there in his garage area. awesome! all the reviews are true: hes incredibly patient, knowledgeable and honest. two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Augusta and Paulina Auto Repair did a great job for me. They were super courteous, explained what went wrong with my car, explained the pricing, and got the work done quickly for a fair price. My Hyundai suddenly started sputtering and the check engine light started flashing only a few days after I moved to the area and Im so glad they were nearby. I would also add that they seem to treat their mechanics well. This happened just before the Labor Day weekend and the shop was closed both Saturday and Monday. Personally, Im glad that the guys working there got to enjoy the long weekend, even if it means I have to wait an extra day or two on my car.Update: My partner and I have taken both of our cars here multiple times (the joys of 15+ year old cars) and they have always been great. So friendly, totally reasonable, including once not charging us anything because there was a faulty computer error. We see them for anything car related: oil changes to installing a new clutch because we know we can trust Aurelio and the team to give an honest assessment of the risks and treat us fairly. Stand up guys!

I love having a reliable and quality auto shop right in the neighborhood. I’ve been going here for years for my oil changes. Service and prices are impeccable. They have also helped me with several flat tire situsations and honestly don’t know what I would have done without them. They turn bad car days into good ones!!! I started going here based on many positive recommendations from members in the Ukranian Village Facebook group, and have been very happy with my service.They are fairly priced and honest. Rather than an intensive repair they recommended first trying an inexpensive fix that they wouldnt make any money from, recommending only returning if it failed to improve.I have seen them for multiple issues and they are always a fair price when comparing other mechanics, very quick, and very pleasant. I plan to continue seeing them, primarily due to their honestly. The manager of this site is also fantastic.

Amazing customer service!

Have gone to them twice and was very pleased both times. I was pretty sure I knew what was wrong with my car the first time, and they were the only place I called that took the time to look up the book estimate for that job. I ended up being correct, and the price they gave me was in line with their estimate...they even told me to bring my own antifreeze for them to use to save money.

These guys are great! The power steering on my car went out and I made the mistake of taking it to the dealer. The dealer charged me $300 just to do an estimate and that estimate came to about $3000 to replace the entire power steering system in my car. I wanted a second opinion and took the car to the guys at Augusta & Paulina.Later that day they called to say that I probably just needed a new battery in the car because my power steering is electric and with the cold weather and an old battery (Id never replaced the original battery), it was likely there just wasnt enough juice to power it. They put in a new battery and everything has worked great since. Oh, and it cost me less than the estimate from the dealer.You should definitely go here.

Parts total was $1.95 for some exhaust pipe. Thanks guys. Ive never had any vehicle repair that was less than $100. Car doesnt sound like a monster truck anymore.

Ive taken my car here several times and have always been pleased with the no-nonsense professional service. I take them to be a very capable mechanic shop and its worth it to me to pay a few extra dollars to people I can trust.

My car battery died just down the street from Augusta & Paulina. I trued jumping it from another car with no luck. I walked over there and told them my situation. Aurelio walked with me to my car with a battery charger, and on the way greeted two regular customers. He hooked up the charger and my car started right away! They let me park it in front of the shop to let it charge just in case it wouldnt start again. A true neighborhood shop with great customer service. I will be back whenever my car needs service again!

My check engine light went on because some faulty sensors. Aurelio checked it out and found out the sensors were fine and the wiring was fine. The light went off when they reset the computer and my 2001 Honda Civic was good to go again! Thanks Aurelio for saving me a ton of money. Will be coming back here in the future for sure.

Literally the only shop I let work on my car. Ive probably been there 8-10 times over close to 10 years with three cars and every single time the work is outstanding, the price is always reasonable and the guys there are always willing to talk to you about your cars issues at whatever level of expertise youre able.

I brought my car in for a leaking coolant diagnosis - estimate came to $650 which included new radiator. However, I had a new one installed a year ago. Took elsewhere, cost to repair was $150 for new hoses. Needless to say, I will be taking my services elsewhere in the future.

Ive been bringing my (occasionally troublesome) Cavalier here for about a year and they have always treated my car and I wonderfully!From finding a financially feasible way to deal with the handful of issues that came with it when I purchased it to its recent tricky engine light problems that required multiple visits, they have been amazing. The pricing is fair, the work is quality, and as I found out with my engine light issues: theyre happy to take a second look and make sure that they get it right if any issues persist after a visit. Also, Ive never felt that Ive been taken advantage of due to my lack of car knowledge, as I have with past repair shops. In fact, the guys at Augusta & Paulina have saved me money by letting me know in my initial visits that certain fixes I thought I needed were actually unnecessary.Once again, they are amazing! Im happy to have found a reliable and trustworthy team to work with to keep me and my car on the road. And less relevant, but Im also impressed that they recognize me when I walk in, even if its been a while and Im wearing a wig, haha. :)

Got a new battery installed here after my old one got drained out due to non usage. They quickly took my car in and returned it on the same day. Overall I had a good experience.

I brought my new used Miata in for the timing belt, water pump, and to flush the radiator.Prices were inline with what Id expect from a good mechanics shop.Their communication was top notch. Aurelio was pleasant each time I called and they were able to have the car ready in the time frame quoted originally.I plan to use then again and would recommend to friends.

Id like to try these guys out from all the positive reviews and proximity to my house but cant even get a call back! Talked to someone live two days ago and was told theyd call back with a quote, but nothing! After calling unsuccessfully for two days, they dont even have an answering machine, I had some hope... Makes me think customer service is not the best or maybe theyre just so busy they dont need more business?

Good work but over priced. Place lack the link and feel of a shop being capable of doing the work correct. It does get it right but the billing needs a lot of work.

I took my VW Golf in for an oil change and also inquired as to whether I needed a cooling system flush, which is what Id been told on a recent visit to the VW dealership (poor decision). Id expect most shops to take advantage of the opportunity and just do the work, but these guys told me it was unnecessary, saving me some dough. Will definitely be back.
