We went to this place to replace our windshield for warranty purposes. This shop helped us to get our situation squared away. I appreciate the help this shop and the quality of work done.

In and out in a timely manner as promised. Windshield appears to just fine. I did find their repeated up sell for wiper blades annoying that continued even after I declined the offer.

Hate having to come here, but they always make it a painless and quick experience to get windows fixed.

So they gave me estimate for 486$ and put me in the queue line for 8 days wait to replace my windshield. After 8 days safelite technician come to my place and say that he have different windshield which is cost for my car 941$This “ company” completely rob and screw people and I never recommend have deal with them👎

Was able to drop off and pick up in a timely manner. Drove in from Michigan for service and left a happy customer, along with a beef sandwich to take back to MI.

This shop is great. Though when calling in to make an appointment you really cant. This is the worst service ever.Also when making an appt online there was never a reply as to when or where the appt was. The online site sucks!

I can only rate the customer service aspect as I havent been able to actually get my windshield cracks repaired. The website, Google maps, and their own door state they are open Sunday 9 to 1. They are closed.Their phone number (the local number on their door) only goes to corporate, and the phone system will only allow an automated menu and then hangs up.Even with the 24 hour support line, it has the robot direct you to the website and then hangs up. Even if you choose representative the whole way it directs you to use the website and hangs up (the same site that says this location is open now).I understand with covid hours may change but at least some of their hours should be updated in one of these places, or a sign on the door, or actual support to find out when to return.Very disappointed in their service and customer support, Im concerned what service you would receive if you actually had an issue with the repair and needed help.

This place and Progressive insurance is a SCAM. First of all, they deceitfully didn’t tell you that the windshield they replace on to your car is Aftermarket instead of OEM glass. Second of all, they will tell you after the windshield has been replaced that if you want to change to the OEM, you will need to pay for the glasses out of pocket. Not only that, but also you will need to pay the deductible as well. So, basically you will need to pay $500+ just for the OEM glasses and $deductible. My deductible is $500. And at this point, they will ask you to pay $1000+ compared to any other places quote for paying simply out of pocket.THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM!! They just want you to pay more than you’re supposed to. AVOID ANY SAFELITE + PROGRESSIVE combination. They deserve to be reported!

My front passenger window was hit and destroyed by a rock thrown from a semi. They got it replaced and vacuumed up the broken glass and replaced my worn wipers in under an hour from my arrival.This is probably not typical, because I arrived at my appointed time and the car before me finished up as I was handing over my keys.Over all, fast and friendly service.

The work was done quickly and efficiently. The the staff were friendly and helpful.Honestly I didnt expect getting my windshield fixed to be anything but a chore that had to be done but I was so pleased with everything that it turned out to be a pleasant experience. Oh and the new windshield is great too.

Terrible warranty policy. Within 24 hours of replacing windshield, I fell victim to another stone shot. The warranty only covers labor issues... so in that case, they wanted me to spend another $350 on a second replacement. Do yourself a favor and shop around. I ended up getting a new replacement for $165 at another business. Unfortunately my 1st time experience turned it into my last time experience in working with Safelite.

It was easy and I was in and out! My windshield cracked on the HWY (tiny rock hit), I have the built in coils to defrost my windshield faster. I didn’t want it spreading so I made an appointment, the same day they fixed it! I highly recommend this place for chips, or repairs! Thanks Luis for fixing my small chip that could have gotten sooo much worse! You guys rock! 🤩

I needed to have my cars windshield replaced as soon as possible. I chose Safelite since it was the provider offering the service in one week from the request, even if at a higher price compared to others. As planned, on the day of the appointment I meet up with the guy who was supposed to do the work, but he tells me, pretty straigh forward, that the windshield is not the same as the one of my car (which is completely white). The one they took has a darkened top part to protect from sun and that if I want the same one of my car he should call his manager. Other than being completely different from the windshield of my car, it was never said before that the windshield they had was different (not on the website when I took the appointment, no mention during the week with an email, no calls in advance on the appointment day). This windshield doesnt work at all cause I am tall (and the darkened part is annoying), the blue darkened part doesnt fit at all with my car and most of all it is not the one of my car. The guy explained that this is the cheapest one. So of course they make a try using it even if they claim to replace the windshield with the same one of your car. I refused of having that one and complained this is unacceptable. He called his manager and set a new appointment one week later to have the windshield replaced with the one that was supposed to be used. Safelite does unfair commercial practice. If I had known I had to wait for 2 weeks to have the windshield replaced, I would have chosen another company for a much lower price. With their practice, they put me in a situation in which I have no choice. Moreover the guy said they would discount this replacement of 40 dollars (which is ridiculous), but when I got the updated appointment communication, price was the same as before. I wrote to the customer service complaining and asking for a much more adequate discount. I havent got an answer.

Avoid Safelite at all costs. THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY.The day after a mobile installation I noticed the new windshield beginning to crack beneath the driver wiper blade. In fact, this was the same place that the initial crack occurred. I scheduled another mobile appt via phone but that somehow became an on-site appt. I came into the shop, they guy came out with me, looked at it for a second and said its an impact. So I asked how could the car not be driven and received an impact within a day, again, of not being driven? This associate had no interest in helping to ameliorate this situation.Additionally, I was told there was no manager on duty who might be able to help in a more meaningful manner than he could. If I could have spoken with management perhaps they would have seen and been able to consider, with the bare minimum of logic utilized, that it is highly improbable that a) a rock would hit a car that hadnt been driven, b) a rock would hit a car in the same exact place as the previous crack, c) that the impact would occur beneath a windshield wiper, AND d) that the impact of an external force would create a convex impact (as if from within/inside the car, not from outside of the windshield).One week ago, I paid $250 to fix a cracked windshield. The next day, a new crack took the old cracks place. Now Im expected to pay an additional $250 for a clear workmanship error or product defect? Thats not only unjust, it shows a clear disregard for current and future customers and lack of confidence in the products/services they provide.

Made the small chip in my window spiderweb and now Ill need to get the entire windshield replaced. Would 100% avoid this location.

Luis helped me when I brought my ML320 in. I was concerned about a leak from a previous repair that turned out to be a clogged sunroof hose. They reattached the hose for me which saved me a lot of time and money if I had to go to Mercedes. I am so grateful. I will definitely use this location again.

Staff was friendly and service was pretty quick. They did a great job vacuuming out the glass from the car (passenger side window got busted in by thieves...). The location is nice too because they have a lot of cool restaurants just a few blocks away so you can grab a bite to eat while you wait!

I had my windshield replaced on my 1995 Dodge Dakota. Ed was the gentleman who came to my house and within an hour I had a new windshield. I highly recommend having your auto glass replaced or repaired by this company. Ed was very polite and answered all of my questions without hesitation. I rate Safelite Auto Glass very highly. Stay away from this company. Lost 45 minutes of my life to horrible customer service. I was given a local number to call by their call center, which took me right back to their call center. Was provided one quote, but when I went to schedule the service, I was told that my quote couldnt be found and was re-quoted at $80 higher. Then, I spent about 20 minutes on hold waiting for the call center to call the service center (local shop? wouldnt give me the name of course) to see if they could honor the original quote. They came back on the line, turns out the quote vanished, no one knows anything. No one can honor the quote. No one cares. So yeah, I feel like I need to take a long hot shower. Ill happily pay more to another company who deserves the business.

I dropped it off and it took 7 hours for a rear window replacement. Now its a week later and I noticed they used the wrong length skrew and punched a hole through the outside of the hinge and the window appears to be warped and does not seal properly. Shotty workmanship for a 7 hour job!

Ive gotten my vehicle broken into three times already. So I have experience coming here and theres a reason I keep coming back. They are very professional and their prices are fair. They actually care and advocate for you when ordering the glass parts. Hector has been extremely helpful and provides a genuinely friendly interaction during unfortunate moments like a broken glass. I cant stress enough how great the customer service is here. I hope I never have to repair another window but Id trust their knowledgeable staff to do a great job anytime! Highly recommended.

I had my windshield replaced on a 2015 Subaru Legacy with iSight collision avoidance at this shop. They did a great job of working around and protecting the camera system from damage. They did a high quality job quickly and efficiently for a reasonable cost.

I had to have a side window repaired after I had my car broken into. My insurance company contacted Safelite for me, put me in touch with someone to scheduled an appointment, and that was all I had to do. The technician arrived on time, communicated his arrival time, was professional and prompt, and left the car in much better condition than he found it. I would definitely use them again if the need arises.

Great service. Had someone smash my rear passenger window so i scheduled an appointment through my insurance. I showed up an hour early and they took my car in no questions asked. Completed the work in a half hour or so.

In 2015 someone broke into my car and smashed the passenger side window. I called up Allstate and they directed me to this Safelite since they were on their preapproved list. I brought it in and everything seemed like it was going to be easy, unfortunately it wasnt.I asked them to use OEM glass in the car, which they complained was hard to get (I drive a Mazda 6), and it took them about a week and a half to finish the repair. Which I think is excessive, but whatever. Then when I go to pickup my car, I find out that they havent cleaned any glass out of my car (I was told they were going to clean everything out). There was glass everywhere in the passenger seat area, plus when I close the door, I can hear the broken glass rattling around inside it. Then I go to use my FOB to unlock the doors and its not working (theres an antenna in the door that they broke while doing the repair). In addition, I later find out they didnt replace all the parts to the door (a cover on the inside handle was missing). So I picked up the car from them with more things broken than when I came in.Long story short, I take it in to an Allstate office and the agent there apologized to me, he inspected the car (he was the one that found the missing door part) and they ended up sending me to the Mazda dealership to get the repairs completed. I would never use this company for anything.

Shattered the back window of my 2009 Honda Fit Sport on a Sunday night. Had plans to leave for vacation early the next morning, so time was precious. Was able to easily schedule an appointment that night via telephone for 9 am on Monday morning (an hour after opening). I was asked to give my credit card information in advance, which made me a little uneasy. But, after politely refusing the credit card request, Safelite was happy to oblige.The next morning, my wife and I decided to press our luck and show up at the Hubbard St, Chicago location before 8 am. To my surprise, there were employees already there, preparing for the day. The employees not only acknowledged our presence in the parking lot, but kindly opened the doors a few minutes early. Even though our appointment wasnt until 9 am, they squeezed us in and got us back on the road by 9:15 am. We subsequently drove 5 hours up to northern Wisconsin without any hiccups.Overall, I thought the customer service was great (thanks Luis!). I paid just over $300 to replace the back window of my hatchback and thought that was a very fair price. In fact, I expected to pay more. My car was thoroughly vacuumed and the door panels were also opened to remove any loose glass inside the frame. All windows were cleaned as well. The quality of the product seems great, although its only been three days.In closing, heres a couple things that could be important/relevant to others:Glue is used to fasten the window in place and needs time to fully dry. As a result, (1) You cant wash your car for two days (2) No driving with the windows down for two days (3) Cant use bike rack for two days.Cant believe I just spent 30 min writing a review for such an unnecessary expense. Goes to show how impressed I am with the customer service. Will definitely come back next time I make a boneheaded mistake like backing into a closed garage door. Thanks for a great experience!

Safelite had a clean and comfortable place for me to wait. My car had been broken into and they spent extra time vacuuming the broken glass for me. The service was great and made the whole ordeal much easier to bear.

I wish they would have told me how the crack repair works before I came in. They just seal it so it doesn’t spread but it doesn’t really fix the problem. Other than that no complaints, quick in and out.

If I could give no star that would be my option. I do not recommend Safelite AutoGlass. We had a confirmed appointment with the timeframe of 4-7 PM. My husband took off work to make sure he was there for our confirmed appointment. After 7:00 PM, my husband called. They said they would contact the technician and call us back. They called us back and said that the technicians truck broke down. No one called to tell us about this. This is very rude and unprofessional. We contacted another vendor who not only responded promptly but came that night. Safelite AutoGlass will never get our business. Very rude and very unreliable and unprofessional.

My windshield broke when a tree branch fell on it and I called my insurance to have it fixed.They recommended me to safelite and I had a nice experience. Polite staff, fast and reliable, I onky waited for it for less than an hour and they did a perfect job. I would definitely recommend it to families and friends.

Called Hugo the tech, said he could swing by latter, even though he missed a 4 hour window and falsely sent an on the way text. Called safelite, they could not get the location to answer the phone but left the manager a message, who of course never called back, and just now they outright cancelled my appointment.... unbelievable. Not sure about all the good reviews, maybe its just me but I had a windshield replaced today with new wipers. They never installed the wipers ( I almost drove off) and had to point it out to them. Took two guys 10 min to install the wiper, then broke my trim pieces and wipers didnt fit right, again they were not going to tell me until I complained. When I got home I inspected under the hood and the trims were missing screws and things were not put back. They broke a sensor because they left in by the fender and closed the hood...terrible you take 5 screws out you put 5 back, common sense....will be calling corporate to complain and demand refund...also the new windshield sparkles in the sun because it already has some pitting STAY AWAY

Although it was too cold for them to come to my place of business to repair my cracked windshield, when I delivered my vehicle to them they were very accommodating and professional; had my vehicle back before the time stated...I would gladly recommend them for windshield repair....

Quick professional service, waiting area needs a TV but they did have a keurig coffee machine.

I had a 10:00 appointment, but because of traffic from the far north side, I left early, and arrived 40 minutes early. 5 minutes later, they had me pull in the truck, and I was done before 10:00. I have had Safelite do all window work because of national warranty.

I just had a windshield replaced on my Lincoln LS, and they had the glass in stock. It only took them two hours to perform the job. They even swapped the Chicago city sticker and iPass transponder onto my new windshield. The also cleaned all my windows and vacuumed the interior.
