Great auto shop, fixed my car up perfectly when others couldnt. They did it fast and at a fair price. Additionally, they walked me through the work they had done so I understood the process and cost better. Highly recommend for any auto repair needs.

I stopped in after my tire pressure light went on. The customer service Chris provided couldn’t have been any better. He filled my tires with air, and found 2 nails in one tire. He took the tire off to investigate more and was able to remove the nails without repair because they did not puncture the tire. He did this all for free as a kind favor. I recently had my car at the dealer for maintenance check and they quoted me $300 to fix the tire. Thank you Chris!

My issue with my car was resolved by Lincoln Wilson Auto because they were very diligent with their investigation on the issue with my car and they saved me a bunch of money.Originally my issue was with a Check charging system Message on my car. I took it to some other car service place and they quoted me 600-700 to replace my alternator.Took my car to Lincoln Wilson Auto for a second opinion and they took some actual time to look through the issue and they saw that it was only a simple loose cable. BOOM 600 dollars saved.Cant thank these guys enough.

I woke up this morning to an almost flat tire. I texted my neighbor for recommendations as Im fairly new to the neighborhood. He recommended Lincoln Wilson Auto Service which is basically across the street from me. They diagnosed the issue quickly and fixed it free of charge! I reviewed this place on yelp but not on google so here goes:One of the best indy auto repair services around. Trustworthy knowledgeable and will explain to you in detail what needs to be fixed and what recommended to be fixed. I been to other places including the stealership service center where theyll song and dance you into unnecessary repairs and higher bill costs. Never here. Also they can get oem and aftermarket parts for your car faster than other shops. Now that they have an auto body repair shop, u pretty much have no excuse but to go here for all your total automobile needs.

I bring my Volkswagen Tiguan multiple times for the same issue (check engine) and none of the fixes made of my car solved the problem. I finally end up bringing my Tiguan to the Volkswagen dealer shop and they were able to fix it. So I would not recommend this garage for foreign cars...

3 tows, 2 misdiagnosis, 1 check engine light later.Initially, car was giving me shifting issues. Wasn’t sure at time so took it here. “We know Audi/VW,” I drive a newer VW that just went out of warranty. At time, I mentioned shifting/hesitation issues and they told me it’s spark plugs….? Me not being a mechanic, thought that would be my fix. Went with it, along with some other maintenance—$300. (Oh and says start putting premium gas in my Passat lol) That’s until my check engine light came on a week later. And the next day, I notice leak. Drove it back here and they ran diagnostic. No charge… great. Even though, I mentioned possible transmission issues first time… codes end up reading trans. He says you have two issues, a trans issue and that’s engine oil leaking…? So told me take it to dealer just to be sure… dealer charges $150 for diagnostic btw. Oh and says it’s driveable. On my way to dealer… my car stops in middle of street. I get it towed to dealer. The tow truck driver even recognizes its trans fluid. Nonetheless, dealer confirms it’s just the trans. And I’m out of warranty. So now they’ve confirmed the same information with same codes. Nothing different. Both lifted the car. Same leak yet a conflicting diagnosis.Either way, he says he’ll work with me to get it back running. My mistake. So I get it towed back… he removes trans. I need rebuild/new trans. He won’t offer rebuild with 3rd party, even though that was an option offered initially, but offers install of used trans. 6 month warranty. I do research and that’s not smart option. I opt out. Now I’m stuck with labor charges to remove trans and another tow to a trans shop. But I got a “good luck to you.”I’m patient but this just wasn’t good business. Tell me you’re not in business of transmission repairs and recommend me to a shop that could do the job, before I rack up a $1000 tab.Update: You confirmed everything I mentioned. Note, tows cost as well.

Chris and his team were excellent. My car broke down late on a Friday afternoon near closing time, and they had it fixed and back to me before noon on Saturday. Chris was able to resolve the issue of why my car had stopped running within a few minutes and left it up to me whether I felt comfortable driving it home that night or having him and his technicians run diagnostics the next day. I didn’t feel pressured or coerced into spending a lot of needless time or money on unnecessary fixes, which I appreciated! Ultimately it worked out that I left the car overnight as it turned out I needed new brake pads, which the team installed quickly and for a fair price (which was quoted to me before the work began). I will definitely be coming here for my future auto repair needs!

I brought my husband’s car in for an oil change at Lincoln Wilson Auto Service. I was really hoping to like this spot. Service was quick, and the man I spoke with was personable. However, I am really disappointed with my experience. I came in asking for the oil change advertised on their website for $34.95. I thought that was what I was agreeing to pay, and at no point did the man I spoke with imply it would be a different price.He did ask me what oil the car took. I had no idea. I’ve never been asked this question before, and I’ve brought multiple vehicles in for oil changes at a variety of mechanics shops. The mechanic has always been able to tell what oil to use. He looked at the car, looked it up in his system, and told me it needed synthetic oil, and asked me what my husband typically uses. I said that I assumed he used whatever oil his car needed. I told him to please use whatever oil was best suited to the vehicle. He told me that would be the synthetic oil, and I said okay.I suppose it’s my fault for not realizing that synthetic oil greatly increases the cost of an oil change. However, I think this should have been pointed out to me, especially because I was asking for the $34.95 oil change on the website. When I came back the next day to pick up the car, I was shocked to be billed $74.95. I mentioned this, and was told it was due to the more expensive synthetic oil I’d requested. Again, I absolutely think that should have been pointed out to me up front. I might have still gone with the synthetic oil, I might not, either way I certainly would have asked more questions about why it was being recommended to me. It more than doubled the price from what I was expecting to pay.I’d hoped to make this our regular mechanic shop for both my husband’s car and my own as the location is so convenient, but we won’t be back. I want to assume the man meant well and didn’t realize my ignorance about the price change, but I feel duped. I’ve paid my stupid tax for not knowing more about synthetic oils and their price points, but as I’m clearly not knowledgeable about cars, I prefer a mechanic who is upfront about all costs prior to beginning work on my vehicle.

My mother whom does not know how to write reviews asked me to write this for her. Last friday, our Nissan Rogue would not start. we called Tony at Lincoln Wilson for help. He was kind enough to advise us on what we can do before towing the vehicle to the shop. Ultimately, the car did bot start. Being that we live close, Tony the owner personally drove over to attempt to start our car. He jumped the car and it started. He checked the vehicle with some portable gadgets. It turns out, one door was left open overnight. He was honest and told us to let the car run for 30 minutes and try to start it again. Amazingly it did, and still is fine. Thank you for saving my mom a cost of a tow and whatever other charges that would be. He would not accept any money. He simply said Happy Holidays, pay it forward! we will definitely go there from now on. So honest, and kind. Thank you for making our weekend greater.

I brought my 2008 Nissan Versa in for a repair after getting an issue diagnosed at a Nissan dealership first. Lincoln Wilson Service got my car in immediately. Chris took the time to show me exactly why he believed the problem was misdiagnosed at the dealership then physically showed me what the actual problem was and walked me through it in simpler terms. He also made sure that I was updated with any information involving my car while it was there and was extremely friendly and helpful the entire time. I will definitely be going back to Lincoln Wilson Service.

It took me nearly 13 years to find a dependable auto shop in Chicago, but I am very glad I found it at Lincoln Wilson Service. I have brought my car here several times in the past, and Chris was very helpful in getting any and all of the issues resolved on my 2007 Honda prior to a cross-country move for a fair price. They are always very pleasant to deal with, will be happy to explain anything to you if you ask, and are just a trustworthy, standup business in general. They are always willing to accommodate last minute appointments if there is room and will never send you back on the road unhappy. We have had a number of repairs done here, including both body work following a collision and routine maintenance on an old vehicle and its engine. Great place. Due to the recent cold weather, I couldnt get my car started despite charging the battery. Therefore, I concluded that I needed a new battery. I live just a few blocks away and didnt want to pay for a tow, so the staff came out to me and jump started my car for me so I could drive it back to the mechanic. When I arrived, Tony was welcoming and let me know that if they had the battery in stock (which they did) he would replace it right away. Within 30 minutes my battery was replaced and tested to ensure there were no other problems. I let them know what lifesavers they were and offered to give them a small tip or perhaps bring them donuts and coffee or pizza....which they declined and let me know that a recommendation would be paying it forward for them.Truly nice people. Decent prices. Fast service. They are even thoughtful....while trying to get my car started I turned the heat off to ensure all the power was going to the battery to get it turned on. When I got back in my car after having it fixed---they had warmed the vehicle up for me. I will be back for sure.

Ever since I moved to the neighborhood they have been my go to guys for all automotive needs and they have never disappointed me. They went well beyond what we usually expect from auto shop. When my car suddenly wouldnt start they made sure towing company was there in no time at all. And when my BMW X3 battery died and locksmith could not open it, Tony and his guys came out to the site and found the way to power up my BMW and get me back on the road.Bottom line is I didnt just find excellent mechanic when I met Tony, I found friend for life.Thank you Tony and your crew for everything you have done for me.

This auto shop is filled with kind, helpful and knowledgeable mechanics. My roommates has been using them for years with nothing but praise. Now that I have a car of my own they have become my go-to. They are genuinely decent people, true neighbors who will do things like help a clueless first time car owner change her license plates free of charge. The staff always give friendly waves and hellos when we walk past - it’s a business with a true community spirit.

I first wrote a review 2 years ago. Apparently I cant write a new review, I can only edit this one. About two years ago, I started bringing my car to Tony and his team at Lincoln Wilson Auto Service. He was great then and is still great. They have always given good, honest advice and done fine, timely work. They do not do more work than is necessary, but they do go out of their way, literally, to give good service.Recently my car would not start and my key fob battery was dead. Tony told me which battery to buy. I brought the battery and fob to the shop and he replaced the battery, then he drove me to my car and jumped it. We both hoped that I did not need a new battery and he told me how long to run the car to get the battery recharged. Ultimately, the battery lost its charge and he sent one of his team to my house to jump the car again so I could drive it back to his shop - where he replaced the battery. He only charged me for the battery, not all the driving around! It really is a comfort to know that you can get such great service here. Take your car here! Seriously, youll not regret it.

Received great service here. Brought in my 2016 CRV for some cosmetic repairs (wheel well and bumper were falling off). They gave pointers on how to save me money by having me go up the street to get replacement parts myself from Honda versus upselling me by having them order them. I got the parts and they were able to fix my car in the same day for a very affordable price. Im never going back to the Honda dealer for repairs.

Im very pleased with my service at this shop. I had gone elsewhere regarding my check engine light but they werent helpful. This has been my mechanic shop for over 10 years. Why? Because they are efficient, timely and honest. Hard to believe the word honest and mechanic being used in the same sentence but its true. All the work is guaranteed and warrantied which goes a long way. If you need to find your mechanic for your family look no further.

Honesty. Its something you seldom see anymore from ma and pa shops around the city. I took my acura in today for some rubbing noise I was hearing when going over bumps and some squealing sounds from my brakes. Nick was very kind and explained my worst and best case scenarios. The wait wasnt too long and when I came back they explained it was a bottom engine cover that had been bent and was causing grinding noise. The mechanic bent it back into place. They also explained the brake pad change wasnt necessary from doing visual inspections and driving the car around. Ive been to other autoshops in the area and they always try to sell you or recommend unnecessary work needed. I appreciate the honesty here and theyve earned my business.

Its actually negative -5 stars! thumbs down for this place, I came in for a repair for my car, the man in the office said cant help me, the mechanic is going to lunch I know this is around 11 am, theres atleast 2 mechanic in the shop, he totally decline helping me, atleast im hoping he will ask me to comeback later, by the its the heatshield underneat my car is the problem, its making rattling sound, all they need to do is remove the rusted screws and then screw it back, I took it to another shop who help me, it took them 7 mins to fix it... so please do yourself a favor, dont give business to this people, It looks like they only entertain job thats worth their time, by the way I pay and tipped the guy who help me right away at muffler for less on Clark and Glenlake...

This past week my car BMW broke down on I94. I was referred to this shop by a friend who also has a BMW. The manager Tony and owner Gus were very helpful. They arranged for a tow truck who by the way was quick to pick me up. After diagnosing the car, the technician found a broken wire in my starting system. I was shocked and amazed it only cose me $45 for the service. I know for a fact the dealer would have charged me $150 just to look at the car. These guys know what they are doing, just look at the flags outside. I am glad I was introduced to Lincoln Wilson. Its hard to find an honest place now a days. Thank you for such great service. I will definently pass them on to all my family and friends.Honest neighborhood shop!

I had written a glowing review for this place over a year ago. Unfortunately some work they had done on my vehicle (Oct 2014) turned out to be very shoddy... ended up having to replace front wheel bearings AGAIN. If installed correctly, they should last the life of the vehicle, especially one with over 150k miles. Tony offered some pretty lame excuses to explain why his installation job failed in less than two years. I wasted over $400 on these guys, with nothing to show for it. GO ELSEWHERE.

One of the worst experiences. The owner Tony he just talk to much technical terms I have many things to say about him he just talk to much for nothing he changed to much and the work is not good at all. I want to fix my car Air condition’ brake and axle. For all this work changed $ 600 and nothing fix good with in a week I have to tack to other mechanic when I told him about my car problem he say he dint work on it I have the prove. Please before give you car to fix please please just get price from other mechanic

I was told by my local toyota dealer Grossinger Toyota that i needed a new water pump due to a leak. Mind you i was there for an oil change. I needed a second opinion. I took my car to LWS. Very friendly ans honest. After performing a coolant pressure test, they found no evident coolant leak. Im glad i stopped in. Honest, friednly shop. I was never charged on top of all they did for me. Will definitely recommend this shop and be back for all my services. Thanks Tony and staff.

A week ago I came here to install my exhaust system that I bought online, I was recommended by my brother. He said they mostly work on german cars audi, bmw, Mercedes etc.. came in spoke to Tony manager, very nice cool guy gave me great customer service, left my car in the morning couple hours later called me said my audi is ready. Just the joy I had on my face wondering how my exhaust system would sound like after they installed it. And of course they did a fenamenal job, a good german mechanical shop to go to.
