Bring cash. Itll be easier. Huge variety. Slightly overpriced but still better than most places in Chicago if you want Asian cookies, chips and drinks (spices are overpriced tho and readily available)Dont get the creamy jellos tho. Taste like acetone. DO TRY all the canned drinks. Tons of canned tapioca drinks and milk teas. Cheaper than getting them at restaurants!
I always to got Tai Nam when Im in the area but today I wanted to support another business. Wrong move. Tofu and a bag of veggie checked out to be $5.99 at the register. Cashier said I was 1 (FRIGGIN) penny short since theres a $6 minimum to use credit/debit card. Ugh. So I grabbed a pastry nearby (of course most of the baked goods didnt have price tag). FRIGGIN pastry itself was close to $6! I buy it anyway because I was in a hurry. Worst part: pastry was cold and bit old!!
Has a lot of stuff, I always love buying the banh da lon you guys have. However, the aisles are quite cramped and claustrophobic, I noticed I couldnt get past with my cart when someone was on the other side. Other than that, its quite a nice store. Ever since Hoa Nam unfortunately closed nearby, I go here now.
Viet Hoa Plaza: is a great place to visit and to find whatever you need, because it is a family and one of the community store.I wish VHP a successful continuity for the good of the community.
Always entertaining. Great place to shop.
I love the food from Indy there to give you a lot in the food is real good I would last you three days thats how much food to give you the give you so much food for a good price
Great and expensive fresh seafood daily if, you dont mind cleaning them yourself.
Staff was helpful, store was well stocked with many hard to find ingredients.
I have visited this store on numerous occasions. They offer foods at reasonable prices, and superior treatment. I highly recommend this location for Asian specialty items especially from the Southeast region.
I most definitely need to shop here soon
I may be bias because the store is close to my neighborhood. However I think its a great little place, that stocks items imported from the multiple countries in East, South and Southeast Asia.
Prices are reasonable and cheaper than other Oriental grocery stores.
Great store! The boba tea in a can is great! Also, is EBT/link card accepted here??
Nice place. Not too bad.
Cool place with really a really inexpensive seafood section. Like 5 lobsters for $30 or something. Whats the deal with that? Aside from that, theres a nice big produce section with almost everything you can think of and certainly plenty of south Asian fruits youd never have thought of. Also theres green tea mochi ice cream. Definitely worth stopping in and looking around.
I loved this place, very nice and sanitary also follows covid rules
My local go to grocery store. I do wish it was open an hour or two later as its sometimes difficult to get to in time, after work, before its early closing of 6pm.
Great alternative to Seafood City for southeast Asian and Filipino groceries. Their prices are competitive and have fresh fish.
The staff at the meat section give me what I want. The checkout staff are also good.
Bought pork belly. I know they always have it. I went from southside of city to northside to get it. 4stars caused some of skin and fat was carved off. Ill use that part another way.
Good the sales representatives were excellent
Cute little neighborhood!
That was my second time going there. My husband likes the garlic chilli sauce. While I was there I wanted some instance noodles without msg. They have every kind of instant noodles there but no instant noodles at all without msg. I felt disappointed because of all places I thought for sure at lease I could have found them at an Asian store.. All other regular stores have instant noodles on the their shelves but none without msg. Looks like since the Covid 19 the regular stores finds it hard to keep instant noodles on the shelves. People are purchasing them quickly. I have been to at lease six or seven stores before the Asian Store. Sometimes more than three times for restocking. I even check online. No such luck for instance noodles without msg.
Complete Asian store, owner and staff are very friendly
Good groceries, and the snacks are at a reasonable price.
Best place for Asian grocery items.
Its a nice little Asian store run and owned by Vietnamese people. You can buy basic Asian groceries and meats.
🤗Thats where I get veggies and ingredients 🧄🌴🦀🦐🥥🥬🥦🥒🥑🍄🥔🍆😎👍
Súper clean to match food
Variety of Asian foods you can find at this place.
The employees were nice and friendly. The inside was ok. They have Korean items. A bit American items.
This is a nice little Neighborhood Grocery Store. I walked out of there with a big bag of stuff for like under $9. I couldnt believe all the stuff that I walked out of there with and it just was need to just go in there and buy a bunch of stuff and the people are nice in there. And youll find pretty much any kind of Southeast Asian type Cuisine and sauces and noodles and all kinds of neat things that you wont find at any other store. Theyre friendly in there and they got really really really really great prices on things you could probably spend all morning or afternoon in there grocery shopping if you wanted thats how good it is in the store.
Great little grocery. Love this place.
Good Vietnamese and Chinese products; lots of seafood. Ask for a manager if you need help.
This is today, went to buy something to cook, some meat, fish vegetables.
My favorite Asian grocery store. Been going here for many years. Fresh meat, a variety of seafood and fresh vegetables. Along with many packages goods and more. I love this place
Resonable price & friendly service
Love this store omg. Their meats and produce are always fresh, they need more parking but did expand their lot but their business is so great that the parking is not enough but well worth going to for your ethnic grocery needs. Call ahead to make sure they have what you need they still out fast. Love this store its one of my favorites...
Love it, do most of my grocery shopping here!
Love the prices and for a small store has a variety of things to choose from
I always go here for fresh crabs and squids! Meat section isn’t that big, but I seems fresh! They have parking on the side of the building. Space is bit tight, but you can always find a spot. Street parking isn’t free here and always busy.
Wonderful Vietnamese Market to shop for Asian ingredients for cooking. Very polite over there, more so than any of their neighboring stores. Price points are reasonable too. Always a positive experience.
Large bottles of Bulgogi barbecue sauceRice is cheaper than anywhere elseNice size shrimp
If you want fresh and be in amazing international of ingredients this place has itAsian korean, vietnamese, Thailand. From spices, veggies, seafood, noodles,we can go on and on! Seafood yes! Shrimp and lobster! You can pick the one you like and take it home to cook! Yes this is the real thing ♡
All prices at this store are very reasonable. Asian products you are looking for, this is the right place to go. Parking are limited.
For everything Asian- raw fresh ingredients you need for your next asian cuisine, this is the go to place. I should have given 4 stars had the place is big enough. But nothing to complain. This place gives you everything you need to concoct your next delectable creations. Theres free parking on the side that can get full on busy days / times. A little patience or willingness to street park a block away will solve this problem 😆.
I worked here growing up. My mom cooks so many traditional Vietnamese meals with groceries from this store. It hasnt changed in over 20 years.
They have products that you dont find any where else, is just to crowd.
This is a local Asian family grocery store, so there are many things to be expected, like the hustle and bustle, loud people, strange smells, and interesting snacks to try. Viet Hoa caters to the Chinese, Vietnamese, and Filipino communities, and the items are reasonably-priced, service is great (although not everyone knows English), and theres a great variety of fresh and dry foods!
U can buy asian noodles 4 cheap and make ur own soupy veggie noodle soup if ur a vegeterian plus they have tofu kim chee all kinds of yummy goodness plus there is parking if u want to come with a car
Great food and culture. Love this area of the neighborhood
My boyfriend has been coming here since he was a child and it continues to be as authentic as it was 30+ years ago. It also has expanded. The market serves fresh seafood and crabs for cooking and there is plenty of pho and bakeries! There were some vagrants but they didnt bother us.
The best in asian grocery selections. The seafood, fruits and veggies are unbeatable in quality and price! Ive prepared what most would consider exotic or upscale meals for even less than the typical american meat and potato meal. They carry of course a huge variety of spices and sauces that are not found at a regular supermarket, if it is its super expensive and not fresh. I can make fresh meals everyday without many repeats and spend very little. Keep in mind that do not carry a lot of american staples such as mayo, sandwich bread, cows milk, sour cream, etc.
It was my first time there, and it definitely wont be the last. They were very helpful in finding me the products I was there to buy, and there was no pressure about me buying a larger size as I was buying small sizes to try things out. Prices were very good.
This has all the grocery stores and restaurants that I love. I recommend visiting this area.
Because it a very nice place too eat & shop at the same time i like it i give it 5 🌟
Huge variety of cooking supplies from tools to sauces and noodles
Phenomenally stocked and exceptionally friendly Asian grocery store. In addition to all the usual Vietnamese, Chinese, Southeast Asian groceries, their fish selection is great. Gets crazy crowded on weekend afternoons, but otherwise really pleasant place to shop.
A nice place to get Asian groceries, much cheaper than other Asian stores
On top of their food selection I LOVE their kitchenware-bought some tea? bowls for under $3. Almost identical pieces at Whole Foods (where I first spotted them and put on wish list) for double the price.
Love this grocery store for all my Asian needs!
This was me and my wifes first experience of shopping in an Asian market. I must say it was inexpensive, interesting, and were definitely going back.
I like their fresh fish and crabs are just from the sea
This place is very strange, no services, nobody care.I need find some noodles but nobodywant to help.I have to go ask a guy at the door. What is wrong with employeeswalk by?May be that how Vietnamese storestreat customers because manyare like that.I came to find some Asian Dessertsand only a few.But Ive seen many fresh seafoodsin the middle of the room. The store look OK have many thingfor you. The store is not clean, dirty and crummy just like typicalChinese or Vietnamese stores.
I have been your regular customer, unfortunately you have a problem with parking. Your vendor delivery trucks park where they want to park in your store. They park in the exit, park in the alley, In my case I was there shopping, after, i tried to exit. All exit was blocked, i tried backing. I miscalculated, damaged my rear body part. Cost $2,000 +!. My friends have the same problem.
Really good selection of Vietnamese (and some Thai and other Asian) ingredients.
Great Vietnamese grocer and specialty items. Meat,fish,shrimp...etc. fresh bok choy.......
Love this little market for fresh herbs, fresh fish, café du monde, Asian soap, and noodles and dried mushrooms galore. Always helpful staff.
Very good and has many VN goods and food. Cashiers are friendly and there are many line to pay. Excellent
Good prices and good selection. Nice clerks.
Always fine what am looking for dinner.
The selection of vegetables and spices are good. But I would love to see more of Chinese spices.
Everything you could possibly need in an Asian store. They have fresh meats, seafood, vegetables and fruits (some exotic fruits are available also) the prices are also very reasonable.
Very clean grocery store: very pleasant shopping experience. will come again.
Youll love this place its real cute inside and they have wonderful neat awesome products
Parking can be a pain on some days but the eateries around here is great though and the Asian markets has pretty much everything for Viet cuisines.

This is an excellent all around asian experience that captures all things as such. It has great filipino foods as well as other ethnic asian favorites as well. Its very inexpensive and the quality is quite good.

A wonderful little Vietnamese grocery store with fresh produce. The only place Ive managed to locate fresh pandan leaves (la dua) in Chicago!Edit: couldn’t locate fresh pandan leaves again, but discovered something better. They open fresh durians for free - the only service around here. Awesome.
Very nice place to shop.
