I am a big fan of pretty much any jewels I go to, and this location is no exception! Friendly staff, shelves fully stocked, everything I needed was easy to find. The store was clean and they had dividers up at each register for social distancing. Had a pleasant shopping experience :)

They carry a very WIDE selection!!! Their bakery is AWESOME 👌!! And I swear their pharmacy (Osco) is prob THE BEST outta ALL of them!! AND THEY HAVE STARBUCKS...!!!?! Plus EVERY summer they have the BEST sales on floats/pools/chairs!! GREAT selection of flowers 💐 too..!!!

Very pleased! Was looking for waffles and the Man stocking asked me if I needed help and I said yes and he knew exactly where they were located and I appreciate his help. Then I was waiting in line behind just one person but the nice cashier lady came up to me and said that her drawer was still open and I was helped by her. Just very nice and professional store. Thank you to the workers at Jewel Osco of Chesterton Indiana. A+

Not as great of a place as it use to be. Many of the outdoor watermelons are rotten and full of bugs. Gross! The older woman, at the deli, doesnt have a good attitude if you ask for something oit of the norm. For example, I did not want her to mix an item. She stated it ALWAYS comes mixed. If thats the case, why is it now separated.The storys interior is very inviting...well-lit, clean, comfortable, etc. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Kudos to the management for hiring seniors and people with special needs! Brilliant!

The Chesterton store was very busy. I found most of what I was looking for,With Help from the Jewel Staff.Even with it being busy, everyone, even the other shoppers seemed in a good mood. Pharmacy is well staffed. Thats a rarity at most big name pharmacies. Every employee I came in contact with was super nice and extremely professional. Huge grocery selection. Prices are on the upper end of the scale. It will be interesting to see how that changes once the Aldi across the street is done being built.

Fresh produce, friendly staff. Watch for sales. They have an excellent butcher counter for fresh meat and seafood.

Over sized convenience store. Old produce. You really need to watch how expiration dates on food. Pretty bad. Cant wait for Aldis

Store is kept clean and organized, service is good most times and staff is always helpful. Shop sales, and use the app and you can get great deals. If you play monopoly each season it comes around, you now do it all online once youve collected your game pieces from the store, but you get decent coupons and free item coupons with just about every trip so it can be worth the hassle of opening them. I also recommend the Honey Wings from the Chefs Kitchen if you havent tried them, we buy them by the bucket and its a family favorite.

The thing I like best about Jewel is that they sell fish and meats that are about to expire at 50% off. I could never afford items like Chilean Sea Bass, but at 50% off, I was able to try it! I love to forage frequently at Jewel for deals like this.

I wish they could stock faster since Im sure most of us want to get in and out. Still glad to have Jewel in Chesterton!

We shop at Jewel all the time but today I saw a guy leaving the store with no mask. That means he went through the store and no one said anything to him. Maybe we should go to Wal-Mart instead.

Not enough people wearing masks! Even one of the cashiers, Bree or Breelyn wasnt wearing one! Awful! I went to their customer service and they even told me there is nothing they can do.Sad to see Jewels get this way, as a Chicagoan I would expect better!

More modern then other jewels. Great selection of things other stores dont carry. Meat and seafood counters offer high quality. Great sales.

Ordered a delivery order. Order was placed on Friday before noon, and scheduled delivery between 5-7 pm. We were charged for the order, but it never was delivered. We called after 7 pm and we were told, “sorry - not enough delivery people. Cancel your order and try placing again. We ask about our prior payment. We were told you should get it back in 7-10 days. Do yourself a favor and avoid getting a delivery order from Jewel.

Can be pricey, but I love the selection of fresh fruit and veggies. They have great sales on seafood and steaks- you just have to watch the ads for the sales.Oh, and please, please bring back the Lemondrop melon because this IS the only place I can find it. I truly very a silent tear from disappointment when you do not have that.Signed, missing my melons.

Ive been shopping at Jewel for as long as I have lived in Chesterton. Although I am the kind of weirdo who wears my sunglasses inside as to avoid eye contact no matter the time of day or night; I have always noticed that the staff is friendly, and they recognize their long time shoppers and greet them accordingly.

Cant get certain items from this store.

I do not feel safe here. They do zero to protect their customers.

Jewel has good fried or grilled chickenI prefer the grilled chicken. You can also order this chicken in larger quantities for parties. They also have a good selection of party cakes,and baked goods 👍. Try them for your next party.

Ive worked in retail a long time, and I know a good, well operated store when i see one. Im from the east coast and we dont have jewel osco but the zone was incredible throughout the whole store and the freezer staff was extra helpful. Pleasant first time in a jewel osco. Great first impression.

The store is neat and clean, and the employees try to be helpful, but the sale items are far too often stocked out regardless of the time or the day. Frustrating and a waste of my time.

Its a good little local store, they have everything you need and a decent rewards app. Produce department lacks freshness, and veggies often expire quickly at home.

I liked Jewel more before the pandemic. What I dislike the most now is that shoppers not following social distancing and not wearing masks. Consequently, I now prefer to use the preorder and pick up option Jewel offers instead of walking the store. I have found that this store runs out of organic produce...my sole purpose of entering the grocery store.

Very disappointing!! Took my mom shopping there last week, with a major foot injury, pushing here in a wheelchair to shop and all was good until the check-out. Cashier was extremely rude to my mom!!!! Then 3 baggers were standing at exit chatting and I ended up bagging my moms groceries and taking them to the car. Unbelievable that I was doing the job they are being paid to do!!!

Jewel is a beautiful store.... Always have the items I need and on sale makes it worth the drive there.... Employees are very courteous and most importantly helpful and very good listeners.... I have never been disappointed or dissatisfied with anything Jewel has had to offer.... A lot of organic items available as well.... Give them your attention and enjoy your shopping....
