Amazing experience! The Schoolshops are guaranteed to have something for everyone! The quality of merchandise is top notch and the ladies clothing selection was immaculate! We purchased some candy, room spray and gathered some local advertisements about the surrounding area(s). The patio and landscaping was very nice.
There are many signs pointing the way to the Schoolhouse Shop. Im not sure why it took us so long to follow those signs. The shop is housed in a beautiful old schoolhouse that sits in a quiet and rather picturesque spot. I would describe it as a rambling gift shop filled with a surprising variety of items that ranges from candy and party supplies to clothing, home decor, scented soaps and candles, kitchen items and childrens toys. We enjoyed browsing in the different rooms and found a few items for ourselves as well as a couple of playthings for our grandchildren. They also serve coffee, a few lunch items and ice cream that can be eaten on a relatively socially distanced patio surrounded by flowers. There is free parking available just outside the shop.
Very charming shop with clothes and accessories for men and women. Toys for children, knick knacks for the home and yard. There is an eatery in the back with outdoor seating. I recommend strongly to come and take a look!! You wont be disappointed.

Fun little stop as you head through the national park. There is a ton of interesting stuff here and many rooms to look through. It almost has a resort feel (with resort prices to boot) and the friendly staff and eclectic merchandise make it a great place to stop.
Im not really sure why they have antiques in the name. I didnt see any antiques in the store. Mostly just knick knacks that you could find at any tourist trap. Its a cute store though and the workers were pleasant.
They have beautiful outside seating for a limited lunch menu. The food was very fresh and delicious and the service was great also. A nice little quaint little place for lunch !!
I liked my visit at Schoolhouse shop. The schoolhouse has a coffeehouse with outdoor seating. Free parking is available. The schoolhouse has occasional sales and different antiques available. On the weekends, the best time to visit is between 12:30-1:30pm.
What a cute shop! Full of this and that. Clothes, soap, jewelry, all kinds of decor. Lived here for a while but id never been inside. Very cute.

This place is a hidden gem. My spouse bought two purses! and a number of little items for the grandkids. High end womens wear! Stuffies for the kids. Little toys for the kids. Antiques! This is a great stop, especially when you might be fighting a bad weather day.

Such an amazing boutique! Located in a historic schoolhouse and beautifully appointed with a vast array of products from practical items to unique gifts and apparel. The staff is knowlegable, professional, and so friendly and accommodating. This special experience is not to be missed!

Had a lovely brunch here on a Saturday afternoon. It was a delicious meal of small tapas sized portions. I had the quiche which came with some veggies, some fruit, and a few tasty cookies. Loved sitting outside in the garden!

I remembered this shop from when I was a child but I dont remember it being so modernized. I was hoping for more of an antiquated feel to shop around. Not at all what the billboards along hwy 20 suggest. Otherwise its a cute boutique with a lot of really neat things. Not very kid friendly.

I loved it in the 60s --- + when the Pape family owned it and I love it for the same reasons today. It is run by the most delightful people and the inventory is invariably delightful and of excellent quality! Thank you for continuing a thoughtful and artistcally exciting shopping experience!
Wonderful shop nestled by a historical cemetery. Great finds and wonderful scents.
If you are looking for antiques, you wont find them here. I am not sure why it is listed as an antique store. The best thing about this shop is the beautiful building. I would get rid of all the gaudy gimmicky crap they carry and make it a real antique store. Almost every item is well over-priced, but evidently people buy it because by some miracle, the place seems to do good business.

Unique gift items for special occasions. The cashier greeted us upon arrival and made extra efforts to provide a box complete with tissue paper when told the item was a teacher gift.Definitely recommend.

This is a charming store in a wonderful location. They have an eclectic collection of merchandise, from books to candles to kitchen stuff and clothes and jewelry and toys and home decorations and body/bath stuff, etc. If you need a gift for someone who is hard to buy for, this is the place to go.As to the negative comments, I go a few times a year; Ive never, ever been followed around as another reviewer said. And yes, they are more expensive than a Meijer or Walmart, but that is to be expected.The only negative experience I had there was, I bought some Burts Bees hand creme, got it home, and saw that it had been clearly opened and used. But things like that happen at other stores as well.All in all, Im glad this store is around this area. It fills the niche left open when Vernier China (in the Pines) closed years ago.

For at least a decade, we have visited Schoolhouse a few times a year and have never had a negative experience. I love the specialty food shop and patio lunches, the pretty little flower shop, their unique gift and clothing selections and never miss the art fair in September.
