Great store! Girls love it. Doll spa, restaurant are great. Customer service is great. Accessories are overpriced but that’s what the brand name gets. Has good parking space.
Amazing. I love the whole store, the dolls and accessories, everything. The staff is unbelievable. Any young girls dream. Beautiful store, at the perfect place. I have been there three times, and all of the times I have not been disappointed. I have never ate at the bistro, but I have seen it and watched what they do and if looks pretty top notch. If you are planning a trip there, you wont be disappointed, you will be in shock about how beautiful American Girl Place St. Louis is.
We came on New Years Day and had a blast. We ate in the bistro as well. Pleased with everything. The staff was very helpful also. The American Girl Doll Store has something for everyone no matter the price range.
I had an awesome time there! Staff was great and strongly advise people to go! Although a bit pricey its every little girls dream!
Just so people know - THIS STORE IS CLOSED!!!! I live out in Iowa and have no American Girl store. We drove out of the way to take my daughter here and could not believe it when i showed up and the store is no longer there!! Very misleading and very disappointed by the mall, Google, and American Girl store... Please update your information on Google so people dont make the same mistake I did!!! My daughter was in tears when we drove away.
We had a lot of fun and everyone was very pleasant and helpful except the hostess at the bistro, she was very hateful and discourteous. We were unaware that a reservation was required but she said she could seat us in 10 minutes. After her fiddling around for over 20 minutes, she informed me that every one else had a reservation and more or less, we could go elsewhere. We drove 150 miles to visit the American doll store and spent over $400 during our visit. I believe a notice should be posted reservations required.
Its definitely not a place to take a little girl unless you have a coupe hundred dollars to drop. Dont get me wrong its a little girls heaven. If they can think of it then they have it there.
My girls had a great experience here. Karen & Carmel were exceptionally helpful. They helped with the covert Christmas shopping and helped get everything out to the car without the girls seeing a thing.
Excellent service and felt my two daughters were well taken care of. You dont get your dolls ears pierced everyday and was thankful to find women working the sales floor were kind and patient. Loss of one star for offering to sell register items directly in front of kids but then again this company basically prints money for making the most sales per doll compared to any other doll. The mall itself is dead with only a cheesecake factory being the only other place someone might want to visit. Love the area as we stayed in the Hyatt Place in the adjacent parking lot.
Love this place. Well, loved. Bought my second American girl doll here. The items were very expensive. Therefore I wasnt able to get very much. Dolls averaged about $100. Accessories? You couldnt get a plush dog or any less than $18. But I still love this place none the less. Up until I was about 13 I went there just to get catalogs to look at. Also they had many smart girls guide books. Which I used on occasion. For self-esteem and stuff like that. While yes they are permanently closed due to loss of business from the closing of the Chesterfield Mall that they are located in, you should still look at their books. Of the American girl SMART girls collection. There was a restaurant, where you got your own little chair for your doll. Then there was the spa for your doll where they repair dolls. What was even more priceless, was that the cheesecake factory which was next door, provided little tiny doll chairs. because how families out there would go before it shut down, they would take their kids out buy them an American girl doll, and then go to the cheesecake factory for cheesecake. So the factory had little doll chairs that clicked on to the table to accommodate the doll Rush. LOL I miss this place.
The associates were so friendly and nice. Enjoyed my experience so much at the Chesterfield Mall with my 31 old daughter who was buying a doll for church donation. The fact the gave a free doll to childrens Hospital made it more specifically
If you are looking for the American Girl experience do NOT visit the St. Louis location. The inventory is extremely limited. Forget bringing a party of 5 or more to the bistro unless you want the $45.00 per person birthday package in the private dining room. You cannot book more than one table for 4 in the bistro, so if youre looking to do tea with your family and grandma and grandpa, youre out of luck. We have daughters and nieces ranging in age from 15 to 3, and for being American Girl customers for over a decade, the St. Louis location was a true disappointment.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time in the bistro for lunch. While her doll was in the hair salon, we ordered lunch and they brought her out to us with a friend. It was an awesome experience for her.
The customer service here is awesome! This is my first time here and I cant believe they do the dolls hair and nails. ( only in America)
Everyone was so kind and helpful. Plus they did a really good job at the doll salon on one of my daughters dolls hair that was a complete mess and made it look nice and neat again.
My girls love it staffare very nice and helpful hopefully they dont close this location they go there quite often
Just visited this store last night. I had a list of items that my niece requested. If you have been in these stores, they are overwhelming. I could not find anything and finally asked someone for assistance. Jennifer was less than helpful or friendly. It was disappointing and I am happy my niece was not with me. The store experience is part of the brand. I left without buying anything because Jennifer was rushing to get rid of me.. I hope Jennifer is kinder to the young girls in the store!
It was nice had some awesome dolls and accessories but they went out of business.
My granddaughter is now a fan! On a post Christmas shopping expedition we found wonderful items and some sale deals. But afterwards, seeing the cafe she requested to have lunch. There needs to be a sign stating reservations only because even though if was empty except for two tables the maitre d was extremely rude stating she may be able service us if we waited 20 minutes( this was already on the quarter hour!). Just being a snob.
My daughter and I had an amazing experience at both the store and bistro. I was impressed with the food and choices as well as the gracious and kind staff. It is pricy but for a once or twice in a life time thing to do with your girls its worth every dime. The quality is unbeatable so youre getting good product for the money, but just be ready to drop some bills lol
All of the employees were very nice and helpful we have a huge variety of dolls and accessories the stores wheelchair-accessible and plenty of wheelchair parking great location
All the employees are friendly, full of spirit for the kids and very helpful. The kids had the best time looking at and playing with the dolls.
My 3 girls feel treated like little ladies. The service is great. I only gave it 4 stars as it is quite pricey and the selections are limited. Cerrtainly a special event for a little girl. So thankful to have one in STL.
To bad they are closing this store down, this is one of the locations that was easy to get to for us. My daughter loves American Girl.
All the staff was very kind and me and my sis had a great time!We really loves all of the dolls and accessories and we love dolls so much!!!
