One of the nicer Walmart’s I’ve been too. It’s unfortunate how productivity has taken presence over customer service tho. You’ll find a nice store but it might take 15 minutes or more to check out thanks to a slow self-checkout system.
No one answers the phones at this Walmart. Ive called over several days, various times of day, trying all extensions just hoping someone would answer the phone. I had to place a deli order at this Walmart due to a bread shortage at the Walmarts closest to me. This Walmart is 30 minutes away from me. I cant get anyone to answer the phone to simply verify the order will be ready. I dont want to drive there to be told they forgot or couldnt make the order. But no one will answer the phones. Ridiculous.
Very clean, very well-stocked, a lot of happy helpful workers. I recommend this Walmart over the one in Richmond Heights.
While I did enjoy the selection, this Walmart has it was cluttered and I do not like the self check outs that you have to wait in a line for. I know that I do enjoy interacting with the cashiers and usually always have had a pleasant experience in doing so. I will say in the cosmetic area, there were a few of the glass, locked sliding doors that were left open and unattended to which I could of easily gained access to the items in there without any employee noticing. I will still come back to this Walmart because I do not like the one by us(selection is awful, they arent ever stocked, etc).
This Walmart is large, organized and nice staff.Love the scan and Go App-
If I could give -5 stars I would. I made a pick up purchase for 2 identical items. I sat in the parking lot for 45 mins after check in. I attempted to call pick up X3 approximating 15 mins. I attempted to call an associate X3 approximating another 15 mins. I finally got a hold of someone in electronics who then went to check on my order and was able to get someone to bring it out. It was pathetic and infuriating that it took so long to get 2 items after they said it was ready. I made my babysitter run over by an hour. It cost me an extra $20 just to get a pick up order that I thought would be faster. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!
As far as Walmarts go, this one is a pretty nice one. Its been here for quite a while, situation in Chesterfield Commons, which is a sprawling outdoor mall. Presently, there is no mask mandate, if thats an issue for you. I went to their Optical Department 3 years ago for glasses. I returned recently to see about getting a new pair of eyeglasses. I arrived at 2:45 PM and there was no one there. I asked an employee and they said that the woman was on her lunch hour. I presume because of Covid they are doing minimal staffing. I waiting 15 minutes and she appeared. Although I didnt order new glasses on this visit, she was quite helpful. I have shopped this store in the past and found it to be well stocked and clean.
Crowded, loud, long line, and worth it. The bad, jalapeño sausage was very dry and basically inedible. The good, pulled pork made my wife happy. The awesome, brisket was the best I’ve had anywhere ever. Perfect in every way. Sides where ok. Would definitely come here if I was back in the area.
I had previously rated this store a 1. Not only have they begun to remodel the store but there seems to be a change in management or staffing. I havent seen employees walking around on the cell phones talking to friends or watching movies (yes, this actually happened at this location in the past). The employees seem happy to help and not annoyed.
This was my worst shopping experience ever at a Walmart and I wont be back. While shopping I noticed the sign that suggests I download the app for any questions I have. Yeah, that is because they dont hire enough staff to help you.At check out they had 25 self check aisles and four assisted checkout lanes. The four assisted lanes were not open. The only option was to self check. As I am not an employee, I opt to not work for the Walton family for free while paying them for my purchases. Sadly, the four cashiers standing around didnt have any interest in checking my items. At that point, I should have left.It started to rain while we were inside. We parked in the first allowed parking spot from the door. But due to the rain the store opted to close that entrance. The young man barricading the enterance was not able to answer me when I asked why we couldnt go out that door when my car was right at the entrance. He wanted me to walk to the doors at the opposite side of the store and walk in the rain to my car. The doors were barricaded with shopping carts and he was just putting the yellow gate up.I spoke to the greeter at the other door and asked where the Customer Service was located. He told me they close at 6 pm. What? They have no returns or issues at this location after 6 pm? Obviously, they do. I laughed out loud when I saw the banner thanking me for shopping and asking me to return. Nope, I dont think so.I am amazed that the fire department would allow them to barricade one of the two major entrances. But Im sure they werent aware. Many customers were upset but I doubt they will say anything as we have become programmed by Walmart to accept less and less in the way of customer assistance. This Walmart has taken customer service to a new low and I hope this isnt the plan for the rest of their stores. Target will check my items and gladly take my money while not forcing me to walk around the parking lot in the rain.
Walmart in Chesterfeld is definitely self service. Personally, I prefer a live clerk. Im just saying, personally.💯
Chelsea at service desk was very rude. Saying she wasnt going to help me with my returned items to remind purchases. Dies not need to be at the customer service desk. Her manager Sadie was excellent. She took care of my needs no problem. Chelsea definitely had a very bad attitude. She would be more suited to stock instead of not helping her customer, and her attitude was not customer service friendly what so ever.
The auto center was awesome. I brought my car for an oil change yesterday and they had it completed in 30 minutes. They were very informative and super friendly. Cheers to fantastic auto center! You guys are GREAT!
Bought an Ozark Trail 4 Person Dome Tent from here a few days ago, had to return it. It had items missing from the set, was used; had dirt and water stains all over it, and the rain fly was torn. Not to mention, there were dead bugs and GLOW STICKS inside from the previous owner. I was appalled. Items like these need to be checked before being put back onto the shelves. Absolutely disgusting Walmart, do better.
Its a super walmart. If you want it they have it. Prices keep going up, but hard to find a better price or better selection
If I could give a zero I would. One exit blocked off. No cashiers, only self checkout. 8 associates standing around talking in the closed self check out lanes. Will not be coming back to this one.
Less crowded than other wallmarts. Hours are great also
I will never go to this store again. Their financial services are terrible, people are so rude, liars, especially manager name Tessa. She is very rude, unprofessional, angry person. She needs an anger management. They dont want to give you any proper service. Why do you want to go there then?Wallmart cooperation needs to fix this place!
Walmarts new stores with all self checkouts will make me shop elsewhere. Cashiers have consistency so they never took long to do big purchases. Now you get the person doing $300 worth of stuff that takes 20 mins. Self checkouts are great for 15 or less items maybe thats a bit too much. But not these carts full of stuff. I dont shop so I the job of the cashier. If I wanted to do that, Id stay home and order on Amazon but definitely not Walmart. I visit around 5 to more Walmarts a month now Ill keep that to a 0
I was able to get most of what I needed. However, many areas were picked over by Saturday noon. The pharmacy didnt have the prescription for my son. The 1st pharmacist told me it wasnt ready When I checked the 2nd time, a different pharmacist told me it was out of stock and would not be received until Monday. Lastly, please pay me $15/hour for checking myself out.
Shopped in store because delivery or pick up was not an option for 2 days. This store just continues to go “down hill” Shelves not stocked and the wait time in line to checkout is ridiculous. There are too many well run, clean local stores to give my business to…it’s just really, really bad.
I appreciate two young ladies helping find a product that they sell but out of stock. At first another young lady was helping me but saying its by the soap and nothing else.Thank y p u Mr John for your help in finding the right wiper blade.I appreciate the knowledge on what works and dont.
It was one of the worst Wal-Marts I have been in. Store was messy, the bathrooms were horrible and the employees were not polite ( except for one self check attendant). Self check was the only option. I expected better.
It would be thoughtful of you to make sure to mention that Tuesday is 7 am instead of having 6 to 11 as the listed hours. Guess I was supposed to assume Tuesday was an hour later before o drove all the way to theis location from by the airport because they opened earlier. Thanks for wasting my time and fuel
I wanted to give 0.5 but no option to give that. Poor services at this center with no customer service. Its been a week I was looking to return product but no one there to address it. Employees run after 5 and had to carry product home each time I visit.
Severely understaffed store. Items put in wrong location with incorrect prices. 2 emoyees to check out close to 50 registers. Pallets of items stacked all over the store waiting to hit shelf. Place use to be respectable...now the customer has become a quasi-employee doing all of Walmarts work.
The full switch to self-checkout really opens the space and modernizes the customer experience. It also benefits employees, who can properly supervise transactions.
We visited this Friday evening just before 7pm. There was definately a different vibe crowd here and it was not good. Several different groups definately were aggressive and confrontational. It was very unpleasant and unexpected contrary to the normal experience at this location. We did not feel safe. As we were leaving another older woman mentioned how she would not be returning without someone who could protect her as she felt so uneasy with what we were witnessing. There were NO employees anywhere and certainly not a security guard. At least target has security. This was before 7pm. Totally unbelievable.
The best thing is, it feels smaller and you get in and out. The people are super friendly.
They had what I needed but shelves are pretty bare
Im 64 and had over $320 dollars of groceries NO Checkers lanes open to help me. So everyone had to check out their own. As I waited for an open spot, I noticed 5 young employees gathered together just talking amongst themselves. Helping No one. I ask for someone to help check my last 5 produce items because I couldnt figure it out. They came over and began to explain how, but as they were showing me they were having problems too. Canalop is under melons not fruit. Took me over 20 min.
Clean store. Found everything zi needed. Staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. Not crazy about the complete change to self checkout which I see all Walmarts are transitioning to.
Walked around the store for 25 and had my cart half full. got there qt 6am when there Google listing said they open. got kicked out and told to come back later. I informed them about there online hours and they just said sorry and that I had to go. would have been nice if the door was locked or if they didnt let me shop for 25min first gezze cmon Walmart chesterfield.
I am so tired of employees being so rude & acting like youre bothering them when asking a question. The prices are good but the customer services is so bad I will not return. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness. The major problem with Wal-Mart is the terrible customers service.
If you have a garden center, you should allow for that entrance to be accessible. Instead you have someone sitting behind the doors pointing you to the pharmacy entrance. This has absolutely nothing to do with Covid and it’s about time you stop bowing down to these fascists and think about the convenience of your customers. You lost my garden business to Lowe’s and I’m starting to take more and more of my business elsewhere as well. What happened to Walmart?
It was great, very organized and neat.
Had in stock items looking for recommended.
I love shopping here always a great experience
The employees are rude, and so not helpful. I had to help an elderly lady find what she needed because she was told, I dont know where it is, and I cant help you.
Its cool. No matter which one you go to theres ALWAYS that one. They need to have more cashier to make the check out process go quicker. But HEY! IT IS WHAT IT IS.
No one can answer anything properly, The associates on the floor had no idea who and where their manager was. Finally found a manager, that manager doesnt know where their bakery guy is or when he/she will be back, and had no idea what time the bakery opens and closes.Manager was least helpful. The store is running only because it is Walmart, cannot imagine if the sole responsibility was on the manager(s).
Its only self-checkout now. I wont go there again to stock up unless that changes.
Some shelves a bit sparse with products, but found what we needed and checked out. Typical Wal-Mart experience.
Went inside to order and took 25 mins to receive order. Otherwise everything else was good
Thiass Walmart is a super store. They put their customer first. They sale nice looking clothes for all family size, electronic, sporting goods, automotive and fresh groceries. You will not regret shopping at Walmart
Able to find what I needed fast
Walmart lost a customer today. People wake up this store is dirty. Self check helpers are lazy when it comes to cleaning those areas and if I knew there was no assisted checkouts I would never have gone there!!
Ample self check-out counters, customer service counter was quick, employees were nice and courteous.
Great inside and out. One of the nicest walmarts Ive seen.
The Chesterfield Walmart is undergoing a remodel but I was still able to find most everything I needed. Picked up some great clearance items there while they make way for new stuff.
HORRIBLE customer service from the service manager. There were no carts for handicap people, when we asked for one they said they didn’t know about them. The service manager was rude, disrespectful, and isn’t managing her store. People are walking around without masks on, we told her this and she didn’t care. I also told her about how gross the bathrooms were, when I walked in every stall was revolting. There was toilet paper all over the floor, pee on the ground, the toilets weren’t flushed, I’ve never seen a restroom more disgusting. Especially, since covid started. I have been going to this location for 20+ years and I will NEVER be going back ever again. They need new management that will actually manage the store.
No one pick calls many time call this store and lady Manager here also rude.
Remodeling so a lot of go to items are not where they usually are. A shortage of carts for some reason. Staff is usually helpful though
Went to shop at 10:30am and the store was not stocked, very low on items and only seen a few workers. One, yes, one cashier at this time of day. One side of the self check out open. What’s going on here? No one want to work mornings? How sad! This place need to do some hiring. The store was a wreak on the grocery side. Feel sorry for the morning crew. The ones working in the morning looked overwhelmed.
Not happy that you have to check yourself out and that ni one was down in the outdoor area to check you out
Only complaint is I felt overdressed in jeans and not PJ pants
Joy going to to the store here it is always clean and I can always find what I need love the parking the staff is friendly
This place is awsome. Love this store. It has groceries, clothing & erything I need
Hate the change over to all self checkout terminals. Its a hassle and takes more time than waiting in a checkout line. How many people lost their jobs over this move?Walmarts prices are barely lower than anyone else. Very disillusioned with WalMart. I avoid the place if at all possible.
The absolute worst Walmart I have visited. They have associates that could care less, when you can find one. The shelves look like the store is going out of business. It is very difficult to understand when I have shopped at good Walmart stores and personally know several Walmart managers.
All Walmart’s are not made the same. The one we visited was larger then most. They where going through the change the it seems all Walmart’s are doing. I wish however they would make there aisles wider and not stock during the day.
I am a senior who is handicap and so is my husband. There self checkout is anything but handicap friendly. I will not be returning and several of our friends fell the same way. If I have to scan bag and reload my groceries I will go to Schnucks or Dierbergs. At least they arent rude.
Found everything i went in for. Store wasnt that busy. Some shelves were empty.
Another of the Waltons finest..
Its a Walmart. Mostly self-checkout now (which I dont mind). The layout has recently changed, which makes shopping more difficult because you have to find things again.
Lots of machines. Average pa. Great bartenders!!
Everything was organized and really easy to find.
They had one check out lane open. They were cashing in scratch offs for a customer. After 20 minutes they said they “still had a long way to go.” Two different people were asked if they could open a second lane by people waiting in line and both employees said they would not. I finally left my grocery cart after thrilling them they would have to restock and will not be back at a Walmart unless it is the only option.
Only had self check out open. Not a fan of that.
I had a return to make today at Walmart in Chesterfield Valley. I had the item on my hand with the receipt taped to it. As I walked in the greeter informed me that I could not make a return today as there was no one in customer Service. He would not even allow me in the store and told me to take it to another Walmart! I was steaming mad! Went back to my car and called the store… the phone rang 5 minutes then hung up automatically! Tried 3 more times and finally someone answered! I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was a manager.I told him what had happened and he apologized that the greeter was mistaken, but someone could have made the return! I then asked him what other departments were closed today… he said everything was open, but it was true that there was no one on Customer Service!!! I am so done with WALMART!!!Will not shop there again!!!
No one ever picks up the phone when I call!! Not one department. Horrible customer service!!!!No one even cares any more!!!!
So you no longer have cashiers, then why are there never carts available when going into the store, and all carts are outside. Prioritize your people because its showing you still are lacking in a lot of areas here.
Interacted with 2 employees during my trip. Both seemed irritated that I needed help.
Nice but cashiers look tired
They had what I needed but no carts in the store.. I asked the guy at the door about it and he said someone was going to get them.. I had my son get one because I didnt believe him. Just like I suspected on my way out still no carts.. Nothing like being lied to your face by an employee😒
Always missing items. Delivery people are rude half the time.
Well laid out design floor plan, able to find things easily
Thumbs up, walmart
If you go here you can request that one of thier employees ring you out i strongly you make them because they will accuse you off stealing they dont offer any lanes where you can have a cashier ring you out.
Went to the store late Sunday afternoon for 10 items. 8 of the 10 items were out of stock. Store was a mess.
Horrible shelves were empty and staff were rude im going dierbergs
Always a pleasant atmosphere n always a one stop shopping center.
Very clean and very well stocked compared to the store I came from in Colorado.Yeah. Im a new employee just transferred in from Woodland Park, Colorado. So far,...Im very impressed.Although thank God for site to store. 😊
Walmart is usually just Walmart but this one in the Chesterfield Valley is the best Walmart around its huge and its clearance aisle is always organized (which you wouldnt think its a big deal but you ever been in the clearance aisle at Walmart you will know how rare this is)
There is something wrong with your phone system. No one answers!
I dont like that there are no checkers anymore
Its fun shopping with my bf because we get a lot of new stuff for our new place. Thanks to Wally world ❤️
Very nice self checkout area.
Went to the jewelry counter for earrings and nobody was there. Ask an employee washing by for help, he went behind the counter and called over the speaker for help in jewelry. Nobody came. We waited awhile then asked another employee. She said that who ever works the fitting room helps in jewelry, so my husband went to fitting. There was nobody there. He waited there for awhile and nobody ever showed up, while I waited in jewelry. so we left.
I really dont like how they lock everything up now. I understand they are trying to prevent theft but for those who dont steal have to wait half an hour for a service technician to come unlock simple items such as razors or family planning items.
AVOID THE PHOTO CENTER. Their Photo Center is just bad. I ordered online my holiday cards as I do every year and paid for same day delivery. They were a day late. Then when I picked them up, the order was incomplete, it was missing all the envelopes. The clerk and the manager said that they ran out of envelopes and as the envelopes were free they didnt need to give me stationary envelopes, provide a discount to cover the cost of buying the envelopes in another place, or offer any solution. They just didnt care and did nothing to help. I ended up buying the envelopes in Amazon.com. That order came on time and complete.
The bathroom was real dirty hadnt been clean all day. A lot of items on the shelves everywhere. Floors in the store had trash in places. And parking lot had trash everywhere as well. Wont go back there
If I could give this store less than 1 star I would. Entirely self check out, and no one to help. Please, stop wasting your time shopping here. It’s worth spending the money to go somewhere else.
Made it almost impossible to return a damaged air conditioner because they are all self check out and we didnt receive a receipt. Hire some cashiers!!!! The ones that make sure you have a receipt.
They have a variety of products. Had great sales and the people were very nice! I will most definitely return and recommend to friends and family.
Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff that always has a very cheerful attitude. Great pricing, and even working to keep things going during a major remodeling without customer impact. Superb work!
Its a Walmart...grocery pricing is solid compared to the regional chains. The remainder: its a Walmart. Pretty standard stuff. The folks working this location will walk you to the item you want. That is worth 5 stars by itself.
