We were visiting Missouri and decided to pop in and check out a few of the bike shops around the area. I was not expecting to see a wide variety of bikes or bike parts with how the industry is now because of COVID. We ended up getting a BMC Tri bike. The guys were super helpful with getting us set up and making sure we had what we needed. On top of this they also boxed up the bike and sent it to our bike shop states away since we didn’t have a rack to take it back. We will definitely be returning and visiting next time we are in town. They are different but in a good way compared to the 3 other shops we visited. Keep up the great work guys!

I have purchased 2 bikes at SBR and each time I felt like I got just the bike I was looking for. I have also been in for a few maintenance needs and each time the staff took good care of me and my bikes. Great bike store!

Was a local customer until I moved away from STL over two years ago. Recently reached out to the SBR crew in a pinch when I couldnt find a very specific repair part for my BMC anywhere in the United States. They pulled the part off a bike they had in stock and shipped it to me the same day saving me over a month of wait time. SBR of St. Louis VALUES their customers and goes the extra mile to take care of them. Just an awesome shop with an awesome crew!

I walked in last year knowing I wanted a triathlon bike, but had no clue where to start. They helped walk me through the process and I ended up with an amazing felt tri bike. I have been riding bikes for awhile, but was looking to transition in triathlon racing this year. Even with a lot of experience with road racing I was intimidated by the triathlon bikes. I didn’t know where to start in the process.Seeing that they had a triathlon focus I decided to stop in on a Sunday (one of the only shops around with Sunday hours). James walked me through the process and offered to get me a bike fitting to see if they could help me pick the right bike.The fitting was great. And they showed me a ton of options that would work for me, even bikes they don’t carry. But in the end I wanted them to help me end to end to make sure the bike was just right. Good pricing on the bike and and they got me set up with the right saddle and we have continued to tweak the setup.I also got an SBR Rockr plate from them to help me get in mikes over the winter to get used to the TT position. That was a great help and has allowed me to put in some serious miles without the normal indoor trainer pain. Overall great show.

After 3 bike purchases from SBR I feel Im due for a review. #1 bike shop in the lou bar none. They really take time to make sure you end up with the right bike. The staff is a all star crew. They also have a excellent bike mechanic. Utilizing the bike fit machine they have there is the best purchase Ive made in a while. Really took my comfort and speed to a new level. Most important to me is the fact they stand behind every thing they sell.

As good as it gets for a triathlon specific bike shop! I had my bike fit with Todd and was blown away by the detail and knowledge he brought to the table. My fit feels a thousand times better now, I’m faster and I learned a TON from him during the 3 hour fit. I won’t go anywhere else for a fit now. On top of that, it’s such a cool environment with the friendliest staff you could imagine!

This is just the most awesome places for my triathlon training. I honestly dont think I could do half of what i do without them. Went in today with an issue with the shifting of my bike and they were incredibly attentive to make sure my issue was fully resolved before I took my bike out for a ride again. During a busy day, they were still able to take the time to watch me ride it around the lot to see what the symptoms were and to make sure everything was correct. Ive been going there for about a year, and even them helping me buy my road bike was an amazing experience, making sure the bike I got is what was right for me and my goals without trying to have me go above the budget I had set.This is a place where I feel they always keep the customers and their needs as their number one priority, and will continue to go there to buy all my future bikes and parts.

First time ive been to a real bike shop. I was a little embarrassed and thought I would be laughed out of the store after bringing a Walmart bike in for service...but no. Chris took the bike, checked out the gears and told me itll be 5-10 days. Within that time frame I picked up my bike and was riding again without a worry of my gears not working. I live just a few miles from a bike shop in Fenton, but the customer service there is nonexistent. SBR is 30 minutes from me, but ill be coming here from now on.

I almost never write reviews for places, but the service we received at Swim Bike Run was so exceptional that I needed to take the time to write this review.My wife and I started searching for bikes a couple of weeks ago with absolutely no idea of what we were looking for or what we could afford. We went to Swim Bike Run where Tony helped us find the right style of bike for us. We decided we could only afford to purchase one bike at the moment, so Tony let us know he would be more than happy to give my old (think late 70s) bike a tune-up so that my wife and I could ride together.We went back the next week to pick up the bike. While my wife was getting adjustments made, one of the other partners in the store hung out with me and helped while I tried to stop our 5, 3, and 8 month olds from breaking everything in the store/hurting themselves.The next week, Tony delivered our new bike, took my old bike back for a tune up, found us inner-tubes for our kid-carrier and installed them, and then delivered my bike back - making sure everything hooked up okay.Between the friendliness of the staff, them helping us to keep an eye on the kids while we were testing out bikes, and their delivery service, my wife and I simply received some of the most exceptional service weve ever experienced anywhere.Because I know its also important to folks reading reviews, between our first two trips to the shop we did price comparisons at other local stores. We found Swim Bike Run to be more than competitive in that realm as well.Thank you so much to Swim Bike Run for helping our family get our bike situation in order! Were excited to use them in the future as our kids continue to bike.

Its refreshing when a business understands the importance of customer service. My wife and I went there to find a good quality bicycle as a gift to our tween daughter, who was out of town at the time. Todd was incredibly helpful in guiding us based on our description of our daughters build and pictures of her. We returned the following weekend to pick up the bicycle, it was a perfect fit for her, and she absolutely loved it. This time we were helped by Tony and he was just as spectacular as Todd. After spending some time in the shop accessorizing the new bike, my wife and I decided to purchase bikes for ourselves as well so that we could join our daughter when she cycled. Tony was genuinely excited to see a family that was planning to bicycle together and get healthy. He prepped our new purchases on the same day and even delivered them to our home that afternoon. This is the kind of service that you just wont get from a big box store. What an overwhelmingly positive experience!

I was very disappointed when trying to buy a bike. I made an appointment and when I was 5 mins away in my car (and our appointment)- the guy texted me and said he got a better offer and that he sold it already... “sorry”. I even had a buddy meeting me there.Edit: management reached out and we disagreed if this was related to the store so i wanted to share: Yes this started on FB. The employee invited me to the store where he works to review and buy the bike and for it to be inspected at the store. This offer was IJ direct response to my concern if it was in good shape. It certainly felt like this was connected and not a private sale. I purchased my road bike exactly like this (at a different store) 3 years ago and even used the credit card service at the store. Maybe this was going to be different but it didn’t feel that way.In summary - if selling bikes at the bike store is not connected to the bike store - maybe employees shouldn’t sell their bikes at the bike store.

The staff at Swim Bike Run St. Louis is amazing. They are all very friendly and will answer any question you have about bikes and parts. I had my first bike fit done in 2014 and had a re-fit at the beginning of May and determined it was time for a new bike. Based on my bike fit Todd gave me several bike options that would work best for me. I picked up my new bike yesterday and am super excited.If you are looking for the most custom bike fit around you need to stop in and schedule time with the staff, its well worth it.Ive also bought swimming items from them as well and loved that they had sample goggles to try on so I could figure out which goggles would work best for me.

As a business traveler going to Chesterfield often for work, I wanted to rent a bicycle and ride with the locals. James convinced me to buy a bike instead of rent. So glad I did! When I landed at STL, I called the shop and the fellas checked my bike and had it waiting up front for my arrival. I was able to change clothes (thanks for the use of your restroom!) into cycle gear, dart out with my bike thrown in the back of my rental car, and make it just in time for a 6p start time in Kirkwood. In addition to getting a great workout in the hilly terrain, I made new friends who shared more places to ride. I owe all these blessings to James and crew at Swim Bike Run! Thanks!

I don’t think I’ve ever posted one of these reviews before, but we had such a great experience here that I had to share. We came in looking for a bike and Tony helped us not only choose the perfect bike, but also made sure it stayed in our price range. The store also does a bike seat (which I learned is called a saddle) test to find the perfect seat for long rides. When we were in the store doing the saddle test, their other employees helped entertain our young kids. They really went above and beyond!The store also did a free drop off of my new bike to my house as I didn’t have a bike rack. They also picked up my husband’s old bike and fixed it up for use. Tony even helped us set up a bike trailer that we’d gotten off craigslist. They couldn’t have been nicer! They’ve earned customers for life from us!!

I came from out of town over the 2013 holidays. I needed a place to ride the trainer and SWIM.BIKE.RUN has an awesome Computrainer studio. Besides the very cool technology, the staff and owner are absolutely the best - theyre friendly and easy going.I highly recommend to anyone in STL and the suburbs. I will absolutely be returning the next time I visit Missouri.

I went by to purchase a mountain bike and when I told the “sales person” the price range of around $2000 I was told that you get what you pay for and that I might want to try Walmart. After leaving the store and thinking about the comment I felt like it was very rude and came from a mean place.

Well the employees at this place are over and beyond even wen there not working the one of the employees at swim bike run are there to help we were having trouble with our off brand cheep bike rack and it basically collapsed while were were traveling down the road and there happened to be a swim bike run employee traveling on the same road and she pulled over and helped us get our bikes home and sold us on that bike rack I would really recommend this place.
