I have been a happy customer for the last 6 years. I bought my hot tub when I moved to Va. and received much support, advice, and service from them without any issues. This summer, 3 or 4 of the little bulb covers for the lights cracked off. I assume because of chlorine breaking the plastic down over time. I called to have them replaced. The service technicians came and did the work, and I finally got a bill about a month later. There was a service trip fee of over 400 dollars added to the bill on top of 300+ dollars for the service done along with the new light covers. When I received the initial bill it was not itemized. I called and left a message for the billing person to call me back. She did a couple of days later, and she emailed me an itemized bill. I emailed her back again to see if I could pay this bill in 2 installments due to the size of the bill but never heard back. I did receive another bill in the mail the next day with 2 added late fees attached, 1 for 15 dollars and 1 for 25 dollars. I will be mailing in the balance today so as to not incur any more fees.My brother who owns this same hot tub in NY has had his little light covers crack off too. He sent away for the parts and replaced them himself for 25.00. He was shocked when I told him what it cost to fix mine. Needless to say, this company is not transparent with their costs. There is poor communication in the billing department, and I cant afford their over inflated prices any longer. I will be getting rid of the hot tub, not because I didnt enjoy it, but because it is too expensive to maintain.

Why there are negative reviews on their website floors me. These guys are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about how to take care of your pool. Not only that the tech gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had any questions, I called on a few occasions and they answered right away and helped. By far the best pool and spa company I have talked to since owning a new pool.

I begin using this company to service our hot tub because the previous home owners used this company. At the onset, everything was going fine. We started having issues with our hot tub, so we called in for service. The company came out and found what they deemed to be the issue. Within a very short period of time, it started having issues again. As such, the company came back out and found another very similary issue. This happened either two or three times (all within very short periods of time). The hot tub wasnt even utilized in between the times the company came to service the hot tub. All the while, we were thinking that these subsequent visits were visits upholding the quality of the initial visit. However, we received a bill to the contrary. The bill represented the cost of each service call.After we talked with the company and found out they would not budge on their stance, we emailed more than six times over a couple of months to set up some type of payment plan for the unexpected charges. The emails are ignored and the finance charges continue to pile on.Needless to say, I am saddened that customer service isnt a priority for this establishment.

They have always taken good care of me...I usually deal with Les when I take a sample in...he is very knowledgeable...pools are very expensive to maintain...follow their advice and it wont cost you near as much...

Clearwater pools completely renovated our 20+ year old pool and they have helped us with maintenance, tested water samples, and supplied us with salt and chemicals each summer. They have always exemplified professionalism. Every. Single. Time. Always politely calling you sir or maam. Tommy is trustworthy, never pushing you to buy anything beyond what is necessary and going out of his way to ensure you are treated fairly. I have and will continue to recommend this company for any pool or spa needs.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Wish I had read the reviews first but this company was a ref from by pool company. Do not waste your time or money. You will pay a premium price for poor communication and a list of excuses why they cant help you fix your problem. Then to make things worse you will be billed a premium TRIP CHARGE after being blown off. I have used other companies in the past to clean, winterize and close our pool for LESS than their trip charge. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!

This is an awesome company! They have been so helpful this year with my pool. ( It tends to have a mind of its own). From helping me find the right repair parts to getting all the chemicals balanced. Lindy, Ashley and Les have always been so helpful with anything I need.

I have worked with Clearwater Pools regularly for supplies, but this year I also needed to have my liner replaced. Clearwater came out promptly for the evaluation, provided a quote, and then performed the service itself faster than they even thought they would be able to. I even needed a new pump because my former pump had busted during the winter and they installed it all at the same time and for a reasonable price. The crew that came out was excellent and the liner is absolutely beautiful.When a small part of my liner had slipped out from the coping, a common issue, I texted Tommy and he came by the next day and fixed it. I have not had any issues since then.After the liner replacement was finished I went up to the Chester store and spoke with Les about chemicals and he has helped me keep our pool water perfect. Never once pressuring sales on anything frivolous and even giving advice on the suggested dosages, such as putting in slightly less than the printout to keep from buying 2 bags of something etc. This has still worked out perfectly the whole time.I saw some reviews on here that simply were as far from my experience as possible with Clearwater, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area needing pool supplies or work on their pool.Thank you Tommy, Les, and the rest of the Clearwater staff for being amazing!

Les is AMAZING!!! He walks me through it step by step in the store and once Ive returned home he is only a phone call away and eager to help me with any questions I may have! I love going to a pool store that doesnt try to sell me a bunch of stuff that I dont need! This is a great local business that values their customers extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff! I would recommend them to every one!!!

3 years and counting. Clearwater Pools does not stand for good customer service. In fact you will get nothing accomplished when they have improperly serviced your pool without threating a lawsuit. Three years ago we put in a brand-new liner. Prior to that we gave a lot of business to Clearwater pools. We bought a brand-new trampoline cover that was solid, A brand-new saltwater system and all of the chemicals required by them to keep our pool operating properly. We had our original liner for approximately 15 years but never had a problem with it until dumping all these chemicals into it, which we believe made the liner deteriorate. But since the liner did have some age, we accepted the responsibility and put a new liner in. This is where the real nightmare began. We ordered a more expensive liner and had it put in and everything seemed fine. The next year we open the pool and went to clean it when the liner started falling apart into the pool. Three months we tackle this one and finally after months of aggravation Clearwater pools decided to cover putting another liner in and the liner company pay for another liner. No one would agree to pay for the water. That was another $1200-$1400 out of our pocket. Days after the liner was installed the pool seem to have a leak. Clearwater pools was contacted several times and a representative was sent out to tell us there was not enough water for them to put a machine on it so way would have to put more water in it so that they could test for a leak. We put more water in the pool they brought their machine out and stated our pump was leaking which did not make sense because the pool only leaked to a certain point. Clearwater pool advised since it was the end of the season to close the pool and put a new pump on at the beginning of the new season. Year three we opened the pool and the liner because of improper installation had fallen down into the deep end. I contacted Tommy Waters immediately as I felt the entire pool would probably have to be drained again. He did send his staff out right away to fix the liner. We put on a new pump and had to fill the pool because of the leakage and the water guy said it was leaking at the light and that the light was not flush with the wall which means it was not properly installed upon putting the second liner in. All this time we have received numerous bills from Clearwater pools to come out and fix problems that they will not accept responsibility for. You can put a pool in and make it look beautiful and it runs great but when something goes wrong and you depend on their knowledge and customer service you can forget it with this company.

Les for the most part is very helpful in person, on the phone WHEN you CAN get him seems overwhelmed. Clearwater is great if you want to BUY something but when it comes to service they are not concerned about your issue. Numerous phone calls made numerous times with numerous issues. Tom is in charge of service....what a JOKE, He very seldom returns calls and when you show up at the store he runs out the back door! I will say that the guys that answer his service calls are very helpful (Buffalo Bills fan). Last service issue forced me to call D1 after 7 calls to Clearwater before anything was resolved. Yet another issue comes up (no longer under warranty) started calling Monday and still no response! Save yourself the aggravation and find another company to deal with!!!! CLEARWATERS RESPONSE TO RATINGS IS HILARIOUS! LIP SERVICE! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

By far the worst pool and spa company in the Richmond area. Absolutely zero customer service and from my experience they do not know what they are doing. Owner is extremely rude and the service techs are very inexperienced. Highly recommend using a different company for any pool or spa service.

The owner Tommy is joke. He intially came out and inspected our pool on Tuesday and was suppose to return on Thursday. He was a no - show. My landlord contacted him over the weekend and he said he would be out on Monday. Here today is Tuesday and he still is a no - show. I called Tommy today after my landlord informed me that he had already paid him to complete the service. Needless to say our conversation did not go well and now he do not want to service our pool. As a business owner your number 1 priority should be providing outstanding service and customer satisfaction. He consistently does not show up to complete a job that he was already paid to do and dont have enough professionalism to call and inform the customer as to why he did not show. I would not recommend anyone use this company, because they are completely unreliable.

100% customer service received today .Called the shop yesterday on a Sunday frantic with what I thought was a broken pump and chlorinator., green water, frogs and mosquitoes everywhere. Tommie the owner had someone at my doorstep before 8 oclock this morning.Could have easily sold me another pump it was an electric issue honest reliable service I recommend them whole heartedly.
