I like shopping there I found what I needed got out the perfect time it wasnt a long line to wait in

I called before coming in late at night, within an hour of closing and the woman I spoke to through customer service to check product availability was Great, and the drinks she checked on for me were right where she said they would be. Great customer service all around

I go to Safeway for the meat department. Scott the head butcher is amazing. There isnt anything he doesnt know about meats. He is very nice and very professional

This is one of the best Safeways I have been to and I have visited many. They have a huge selection of grocery items and pretty much every brand your looking for. Fresh seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables can be found here and all are great quality. They have a nice deli counter and the bakery is awesome. There is a cafe area for sitting if you want to eat your meal right there. There is a Pharmacy located at the rear of the store and has great hours. You can accumulate safeway fuel discounts to use at the gas station located on the other side of the parking lot. Need flowers...yes the have plenty and usually a florist there to help you out for those special occasions. If you havent been there, I recommend you stop in and check them out.

Just moved from Dallas, Tx to the eastern shore. This being the very first grocery store Ive stepped into here, I couldnt believe the prices! These prices are 40% to even 50% MORE than Id ever seen at any grocery store in Texas.What originally was to be a full grocery run, had me buying a single jar of pickles. Lmao! Im not a cheap man by any means, usually willing to go the extra mile and pay more for a clean, calm store. However! These prices are shocking. Ill look around for another store I suppose.

Not the cleanest, smells really bad, manager wow no one missed her, but you can tell when she got back, all the smiles an sunshine left, best time ever,when she was gone talk of the town, but now shes back you can clearly she she a very dark cloud move her to Easton, no one will miss her, food lion clean as gold smells clean, lot of Islanders moved to that store when covid hit the shore

Its a nice place to shop, and its clean

They can make sushi, but you cant get a fresh salad there and the salads they do have coming in, its either the lettis is wilted, brown or frozen or you have a dressing in there and they dont give you an option up you know buy one without a dresser.

I love the fresh fruit containers of cut watermelon, pineapple with kiwi, and strawberries with kiwi. This is a summer staple for my family. The store was clean and well stocked. I felt very comfortable shopping there, in spite of the pandemic. Safeway appeared to have followed CDC guidelines quite carefully and successfully.

6/25/19 ~ I transferred a prescription to the Safeway pharmacy, in Chester MD, for the 1st time, and used the GoodRx app to reduce that prescription cost to just $10. Good deal, when you use their pharmacy for 1st time, theyll give you a coupon good for 25% off all your grocery order, on a one time purchase up to $200. I got $47 off my grocery shopping today. So, if you find your prescription cost is higher at your regular pharmacy, worth it to go to Safeway, even if you do not plan to shop there often. Just ask Safeway to call your regular pharmacy and theyll transfer the prescription, then theyll fill it. Needed groceries anyway, so 25% off up to $200, a real good deal. Pharmacist was nice, it only took a couple minutes, well worth it! Sign says limited time offer, so Id call first to make sure theyre still running the promotion.

Clean store and friendly staff. We stopped a borough a cake for my daughters graduation dinner. We were from out of town and everyone from the bakery staff to the cashier were welcoming and helpful.

I will no longer shop at this Safeway, I am new to the Eastern Shore, and each time I walk in this store, an announcement for security comes over the store, I mentioned this to my daughter and she said I may be imagining this, I am a black woman and have never stolen anything a time in my life, not a comfortable feeling, especially since it seems as though I am being singled out because of my skin color.

Very clean and organized store. The staff were beyond helpful. Service came along with a smile. They offer a wide variety of goods. I dont regularly shop here because it is not close to home. But have always got what I needed when I have visited. Prices are fair with good deals.

Not open 24 hours anymore! Now 5AM to midnight. Ignore what Google says they just put up signs that look like they printed them out themselves that say this right next to the official signs that say 24 hours. So I am not really sure if this is permanent or even official. It could just be short staffing for the pandemic. Hopefully this isnt permanent night shift people need to get groceries too.

Had to pick up a prescription for someone and thought Id pick up a few things while there. Its good I stopped in to remind me how overpriced this store is. Back to Trader Joes and Walmart for me.To make matters worse one of the few overpriced items i picked up scanned wrong and had to wait a while for price check to confirm I was right and get proper cost.

On Tuesday December 1, 2020 I came to Safeway to get a Starbucks coffee while there I decided to get some apples and caramel for my coworkers... So I got my apples and couldn’t find the caramel so I looked for someone to help me when I couldn’t find help I went to the cashier for help well thats when my happy mood changed to being upset.... I asked the cashier for help she told me to go to produce and I told her there is no one in that area and she was the first person I found to ask she then got angry with me told me again to go to produce I again said there’s no one there she raised her voice and said she couldn’t help me she was the only cashier I asked for her to call someone she got even more upset with me said again she couldn’t help me so I left my apples right there got my coffee and left. I wouldn’t have written anything but when she continued to talk about me to other customers as I stood at Starbucks getting my coffee. I will say the young lady at Starbucks was Fabulous but Rhonda the cashier was rude.....I would not want her as a coworker or employee if she has that type of attitude. I’ve been left the only one on the floor and be so busy I can’t see straight but I have never been rude to a customer because of short staff. We all have a bad day and having to deal with COVID but no matter what if you work with the public you have to leave any and all issues at the door not bring it to work.Im sure Rhonda is a nice person but my first impression left me NOT shopping at Safeway again and I won’t. All I wanted was to do something nice for my coworkers and it took one person to blow it up.

Its a great place to grocery shop or just stop in to grab a coffee or something quick to eat. They got a fresh salad bar and a deli where you can order subs and sandwiches from. The employees are always helpful and resourceful too.

Costly! Limited selections or choices of items. Their prices are high. Doesnt seem like bargains or cost efficient. Good for onesie or twosie but not more unless you dont care about savings even with their discount card.

This Safeway is much improved since they put some capital funds into the infrastructure; otherwise out was soon to be put out of business by Harris Teeter across the street.

I wish the manager would not give instructions to the staff over the intercom. It is very annoying, I would suggest that she have a morning meeting. The staff are great, especially the young man at the deli, he is always so helpful and pleasent.

A touch pricey, but great selection, best produce section around. Some nice employees, some not so nice. Ive heard many stories of people finding very expired food, but havent had the experience myself. But I dont shop there as frequently as Food Lion, due to my living in Centerville. Love the self checkouts, salad and soup bars, deli, exotic foods, etc.

This store seems to have empty shelves for long periods of time...We arent that far from civilization! Stock your shelves SAFEWAY!

I was short $.06 explain to the cashier that I needed to the car to get the change she held the entire line up, because she wouldnt finish my transaction while I ran to my car for six cents. I was so humiliated

I will never step foot in this place again. I came here to cash my check and The woman at the service desk said she couldnt cash my payroll check because I had already signed it. I never in my life heard anything like this. I asked for the manager she said I am the manager. Im highly disappointed.

This is my favorite Safeway in Maryland. Most of the staff is helpful and friendly (1 person in the bakery is not too friendly). They always offer to help with loading groceries and heavy Items.The store is large and hashas great variety.It is clean and well maintained. On Kent Island this is the best grocery store.

A bright, clean, friendly, well-stocked place. The store has beautiful green grocer section plus lots of flowers. Theyve got a butcher you can actually talk to... and fresh seafood as well. The selection on the shelves and in the freezer section is very good, and the club prices great. I also like the Starbucks here. I just wish they had a nice place to sit down.

5 stars for the EMPLOYEES of Safeway & the fact that it was 7:30 am on a Sunday and they were playing KISS Rock N Roll All Night. That is hardcore shopping music.

New layout takes some getting use to. But eventually found everything I needed from my shopping list.

Clean store and helpful customer service. I can usually always find a staff member to help me with something, even on the busiest days. Sometimes the self checkout gets congested but theres always someone running around like a headless chicken doing their best to ensure everything is taken care of in a timely manner.

Best selection for the best price. $80 a week is all I spend for a vegan low sodium diet. If your complaint is Prices are too high.. Then you seriously need to ask customer service for a Safeway Club Card and take advantage of the great deals and savings. This is one of the nicest stores Ive been to. The prices are high at safeway, but they carry all the namebrads I love. And if its too high, they offer a generic version most of the time. The app and member card really help with finding deals and savings. also enjoy that I get discounts in my gas for shopping there. Not a bad place to shop at all .

I trace 25 min just to go to this Safeway. I have an acme and a food lion within 5 min of me but this place never lets me down. Wonderful staff, great produce and meats and it’s clean! I’ve been using their drive up and go option for my last three trips and I highly recommend it. I’m in and out of the parking lot in 10 min which is huge since I have three little kids that I dread taking into grocery stores for a big haul. And the girls who have been loading my groceries are so accommodating and could not be nicer.

Everything is extremely overpriced, never enough registers open. I have to wait in longer lines to spend more money.

Some suspicious practices taking place. I noticed the security announcement, which is supposed to be random, seems to come on whenever a person who is different walks through the door and into the aisles. Keeping my mystery shopper eye on this place.

Excellent Clean and very Sanitary.

The groceries are fine and the store is nice, bright and clean... But their insistence on only having one or two checkouts open is crazy. I get cutting cost, but if youre only going to have one non-express checkout open at least Have the self checkouts turned on and open.

The store layout is nice. The produce looked good, as did the meats and cheeses we were buying. One suggestion (from this Southerner who was here visiting).... Service with a smile would go a long way in making the shopping experience a more enjoyable one. The folks whi were working all seemed to be preoccupied, or unhappy being there.

Expensive, poorly stocked.... not sure what is more headache inducing- the deli or the pharmacy. Prepare to spend 15+minutes at either. Staff is usually friendly, management not so much.
