I always love home depot. Home depot understands people. Meaning its a pet friendly place. Workers are always there to help. Its just an awesome store. I love taking my dog with me and we go shopping together. It.makes it instantly a happy, fun environment.

Placed an online curbside pickup and after notifying them I was waiting, 25 mins later I called. I was put on hold for 15 mins then was hung up on. I proceeded to go to customer service and adviced who I was and what just happened. 10 mins later I was advised my order would be out. I also noticed that there were NO cashiers inside that only the self checkout was open. There was a line at customer service and the people in line were getting adjitated. Ive never experienced this before but Id always shopped at the HD near my job. But this one is closest to my home. Today was not a good day at HD

Came to pick up an order I had made online. Walked to the pick up area where a younger woman and older man were helping guests. I stood in line patiently only to notice how rude the workers were to the 2 individuals in front of me. Im not sure of the situation of course, or what may have occurred before this...but I found it very unsettling how after one of the individuals had left the counter, one of the employees mocked his accent. Not professional.

I dont work there, but the way they have treated the ones I know that do, they have earned my respect and more than likely a lifelong customer. Period. I would rather support small businesses and I do, but this company definitely deserves my business too.

Everything there is labeled well. The employees we r e kind and very helpful. Found everything I was looking for and there are loads of stuff that you would find at different locations. The place is very well kept. I would highly recommend this place.

Good selection. Clean shopping experience. A little overwhelming. Staff is friendly and helpful when you can find them and they arent busy helping other customers. Does their app tell you where stuff is located in the store you are at? If it doesnt, it would be a big plus.

Probably the least competent employees I’ve ever encountered. If they don’t know the answer to a question, they just hang up the phone on you. I was going to have them redo my floors but now they have lost my business forever.

I was able to walk in and purchase the magnetic pickup tool that I needed. Easy layout to find what I needed.

Staff is incredible. I have come In here for so many things and every single employee is willing and knowledgeable about products and how to install. Very good about the military discount and returns are a breeze. Home Depot>Lowe’s all day.

This HD is average. Not too busy as some others are. Product availability is usually pretty good for what we have needed.

The workers today were very helpful and friendly. I noticed that at the checkout, they are also very elderly-friendly. Everyone there also followed the Covid-19 rules. At manned checkouts, there are plastic dividers. A word of advice for people looking for 70 - 116 qt. plastic totes / tubs, there arent many big ones left. You may need to wait for restock because there werent any in the back either.

Ive been ordered for few many things. But never received. Called customer service. Nobody dont know anything. Order status said delivered. Paid labor for waiting all the day. Irresponsible manager and associates. Never order again. Hold me for one hour nobody response. How unprofessional people working here. Never order from this store.

Went to the store on Jeff Davis Hwy and asked where the air conditioner units were...the young lady at the Customer Service desk told me and I went looking. I stood there for 8-10 minutes while the cashiers at the Contractors end were laughing so much and loudly that they could be heard through most of the store. NO ONE came to my aid....I am a 65 year old Senior Citizen with a bad back! I went back to the first young lady - she told me to use the cart by the desk and come back to her (I also applied for and received a store credit card). This young lady took very good care of me and had someone to help get it in my vehicle (sorry that I do not know her name).Marques was called to help - he was not happy and it was extremely noticeable! I asked him if he WANTED to help - he looked down and then replied, Not really...I was on my 15 TERRIBLE customer service!!!

No product delivered. Order was cancelled multiple times. No one informed about the order. Its showing delivered. Nothing I received. Called multiple times. Waiting on hold. They gave me multiple store phone number. I called the stores they dont have any any idea about order. Very unprofessional and irresponsible associates. Talked to the manager, they dont know what to do. Just apologize. I paid labor for waiting. Talked with Becaky, she just said I dont know what to do. Why you guys are in store and dont know anything. Wasted my time and money. Thanks for your business.

An associate named Jim was very helpful. I was in need of moving boxes and could not find them! He saw me wondering around lost, and asked me if I needed help & offered to walk me RIGHT to the boxes. Thank you for you help! You’re awesome.

Pro services? Three days later still waiting for a quote. This is not the first time they have done this. Yall wonder why I go to a diff HD. Longer drive but worth not dealing with this store.

Went into the chester location today and I couldnt find the shop vac filter I needed and there was a gentlemen I believe his name was D.J. He helped me find the correct filter I needed. He had fantastic customer service. I already called and spoke to the store manager and gave my compliment but I also want to post here so he can get recognized about his customer service.

We went in to purchase interior lights, storm door, and screen patio doors but couldnt find a representative at the door department. We informed Customer Service and they immediately came to our help and they just gave us the Royal Service Treatment from then until we were out the store. Hats off to Charlotte Chapman who immediately took control when the associates who were supposed to be manning the desk were nowhere around. She was Excellent and literally hand walked us through the entire process and we were Extremely Happy with Her, the Associate who helped find a loader and loaded our doors, and the Wonderful Lady (Dette) at Customer Service..Thank You!!

It HD you know what they have and what to expect. I been coming to this location for quite some time and its always been consistent on friendliness, cleanliness, and stock levels. Ive been into other HDs in other towns that were messy, disorganized, and just poorly ran. This is not one of those.

Sales person very helpful much better than Lowes. Could not find one there.

I went to this depot and left to go to colonial heights way out of my way bc I planned to drop about a grand on tools but 2 associates in a 5 min period were so rude I had to leave before I made a scene. I was sure to express this to the manager who also didnt seem like he gave a f so now im at colonial heights location spending my money

I like the place and their products. My problem is, I am handicapped and need to use the motorized cart. I used 2, which both ran out of juice within 2 or 3 minutes. The 3rd one finally worked. I feel that more thought should be put in for us handicapped people from all businesses that have these carts. Extremely grateful for them, but have them charged and in working order.

In the age of Covid fixing up your home is where it is at. Home Depot is the place to get it done. Great prices. Delivery of large orders in less than 4 days. Got to love it!

Just needed few items, interior trim pricing by the foot if you have small job and do not need full pieces.

I only selected one star because there is no option for zero. Absolutely the worst service I have experienced. Blinds took over a month to get installed, the order was wrong, there was loads of miscommunication, lies, & unprofessionalism. The installer had to make two trips to our home because all of the blinds werent ready at the time of pickup. How is that acceptable? We PREPAID for a service only to receive 5/13 blinds for our home. The store refused to accept responsibility for their poor service by promising us a compensation for inconvenience but management has since been dodging all phone calls, emails, and even in store visits. If you are looking for professional & effective installation services on ANYTHING, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!

My journey began online with an very disgruntled representative thay didnt understand my concerns about utilizing my credit card for my first major purchase since obtaining credit with them in January. I was informed that no exceptions would be made for purchase. I was on the phone well over 30 minutes trying to handle this appropriately but it was very discouraging. I requested a supervisor and was placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time so I called my local store and spoked with Nuala who heard me on hold still with the other rep not being responded to. She did not promise me a miracle but at least extended me the option to come in and speak directly to her at customer service due to all the complexities I was encountering from the representative. She asked for me to bring the item numbers, id and card in with me to ensure we have everything I needed to complete the transaction. Glimmer of hope appeared. There was a short wait till I could see her buy it was so worth it. She took my information and went over candidly what my options may be. She then proceeded to call the credit services to see if they would assist me with my transaction but again discarded my concerns again. Nuala was advised by the rep to utilize the store manager. Disappointed yet again but she was optimistic we could correct the issue. She called for her manager and Pam arrived with a willingness to assist. RC also attempted to assist with the new cardholder credit that I never recieved the coupon for since applied online. It was explained that I had 30 days to use it but my logic couldnt process why I would spend money on things I didnt need or want just to utilize my offer when I knew eventually I would find what I was awaiting for. Needless to say they all agreed that was unrealistic. The end result was they were able to assist me more than I expected and I left customer service counter doing a jig. I still had purchases to make and ran I to Bennie who was awesome in assisting me with my plant purchase. He even rinsed my peace lily off to ensure it was clean for a housewarming event I was heading to. This was an great turn around and I was soooo appreciative of all of their help while in store. A horrible call turned into a positive shopping experience. Thank you to all the associates that found my time and money worthy of their assistance. I left feeling valued and truly thankful.

I use online shopping, but this time I decided to do store pickup because I was going to be passing near, so I do not want to wait for my planters. But my bits for my drill, got fast home delivery. Perfect for an old lady that hate to drive much, I prefer delivery.

Lots of great help, knowledgeable staff, personal experience with products, no pressure to buy although we came back and bought anyway!

My pick up was without any problems. The young man was cordial and efficient.

Three associates not following through to help us and one rude manager, I was shocked how we were treated. After 35 years of patronizing that store and 30 minutes of wasted time today, we will not be back there.

The customer service at this Home Depot is very disappointing. I waited to have 3 bad experiences before posting a review. This location is very convenient for me as I live about 3 minutes away but I would now rather travel the 7 minutes to get to Lowe’s and here is why... once I went in to buy new blinds as mine had broke and I needed assistance to get the exact pair. I had a gentleman in the appliances department call to ask for assistance as I couldn’t find anybody (because I never can find anyone) and waited, no one showed... I asked him to call again and waited about 20 minutes before I gave up and went home. The next day I went to Lowe’s to get my blinds and was greeted by an employee in that department and got immediate assistance!! TODAY! I go to Home Depot to get valves and I didn’t know the right kind to buy so I again asked for assistance, I approached a man I saw in the hall and told him I needed help getting the right valve, he told me it wasn’t his department so I asked him to get someone and he said he was helping someone else at that moment. So I walked up and down again seeing no one else, I even yelled out “CUSTOMER NEEDS ASSISTANCE!!” And still no one, so I went to the gentleman again at the appliance department and asked him to call for help and he did. Once I finally had some help I told the lady that was helping me my concerns so she brought me to her manager and I expressed to him everything I’ve experienced, then the guy who told me that wasn’t his department approached me while I was complaining and came into the conversation saying he told me that he would be able to help me in just a few, he NEVER told me this... I was fed up at this point and grabbed my valves and left. The employee lying about what he said to me while I was voicing myComplaint to his manager just pushed me over the edge and made me want to finally write a review.

I like to go to Home depot for alot of things, but sometimes finding someone to help you is like an act of congress.

We walked in followed the signs to find our main item needed. We had another item to purchase and couldnt find it. We asked an associate for help and he directed us to exactly what we needed. And during these Covid-19 times we used the self check out. Which is easy to use. A good shopping trip.

It was a good visit this morning. The two associates I interacted with (the paint dept. and later, the cashier) were courteous, friendly and professional. Again, thats only for my visit here this morning.

The customer service here is trash. Dee Jay in windows was extremely rude when he asked us if we needed help and needed a certain window down from the top shelf. Before he even went to the top, we said we needed a certain type of window and he slammed the orange stopper poles while saying “making me do way too much for y’all”. We literally spent less than 5 minutes of his time.Go to Lowe’s.

I dont think Ive ever been to this location and received good customer service. Its the absolute worst here. Seems no one employed here actually wants to work. Seems they go out of their way to avoid customers at this location.

This trip to this store was very infuriating. The customer service was terrible. I looked for doors online and it said it was available. When I got to the store. The associate was not knowable where the doors were that I saw on line. He said the inventory was not right. I ask if he could tell me what store had the doors . He told me to look it up on my phone. Really ????

The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The stocks of various merchandise, on the shelves were well organized.

I like Home Depot much more than the blue store. Although this location is often a little messy and unorganized looking, the staff is always amazing and helpful! Its like you’re walking into your corner mom and pop store. They have a great selection of items in all price points and during this time of COVID, they have free masks and hand sanitizer at the entrance in case you left yours at home!

In an out quick got what I wanted

This has always been my favorite store, but today I came to buy 550 pickets for fence and I had to wait like 2hours for the lift to get the planks down because they were all the way to the top, this was at Chester Home Depot. I’m so disappointed on this. They made me loss my time. All they say was a little sorry!!

Ive been shopping here for years and had good times and bad times. Did not have a bad experience, but shelves were empty like they have no staff or they are going out of business. Plus, merchandise was not put back in its place like the staff has no management or they just dont care.

I just have to say that Kyle in lawn and garden delivered an unparalleled customer service experience. After looking at the millions of leaves in our yard...we decided to take the plunge and buy a very pricey lawn vacuum. I called store after store, and was told “sorry”. I called one Home Depot in Richmond and was told “that is a seasonal item that can only be bought online...we don’t have them right now “...(it’s for PICKING UP LEAVES!!). Another store stated that “they were too busy to look because they had customers!! I decided to call this store as a last resort: mind you I live in Caroline County.I was eventually transferred to Kyle. I have to say that I was beyond frustrating at this point: it was the 6th store I called. At first, he couldn’t locate the item (I was told by the first person they had 3 in stock).Kyle stated he would research and call me back (I didn’t have a lot of faith at this point...).This young man went above and beyond. He took the time to ASK QUESTIONS, AND LOOK OVER THE ENTIRE STORE.He got to the bottom of the issue, FOUND THE ITEM. AND CALLED ME BACK!!! I drove the hour there, and found my item waiting for me at the front desk!Someone PLEASE...GIVE THIS YOUNG MAN A RAISE AND THE CREDIT THAT HE DESERVES!!I was NOT easy to deal with! The item was buried on the top rack, all the way in the back. Again, he couldn’t locate the item at first...but SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!UNHEARD OF THESE DAYS!!! Nobody delivers “customer service “ these days. People need to take a lesson from him!Thanks soooo much Kyle!!!!Well worth the 2 hour round trip!

Just came from the Chester Home Depot and found it frustrating to find help for a simple washer for a plumbing piece. Big stores like this put the little guys out of business, but at least they were run by people with a little knowledge. Now you get housewives who need money and couldnt care less, sending you down the wrong aisle or who just cant be bothered. Wandered around for at least 20 minutes, asked 3 different people for help and all seemed perplexed by the simple question where are the washers used in plumbing which I can warn you are not in the plumbing aisle or are completely hidden. All 3 women acted as if they would have keeled over from exhaustion to help me find them. This is what happens when a store will employ just anyone.

Went to home depot and ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and they didnt have any. So I ordered some fried chicken and same result. Tried to order some fried fish but all I got was dirty looks. Going over to Lowes to order some Chinese take out. Wish me luck!

I think they do a slightly better job having a good selection of materials for diy home projects than the more contractor orientated competitors.

All the carts were full of junk and you couldnt find any empty ones and the employees try to avoid you like the plague.

Customer service is terrible!!! They didn’t even try to help, just said no, even though we had receipts and they didn’t follow their own company policies for our purchase. We were also followed around the store by associates as if we were stealing things and being suspicious when buying heavy boxes of tile! Not asking if we need help, just repeatedly staring at us down the isle... Why treat your customers like this??? This is the worst Home Depot in the city by far.

Always have a great experience at this Home Depot. Everyone is super helpful and a joy to work with and I thank them for all they are doing to keep us safe.
