Best hardware store within 10 miles of me. Friendly, helpful, well organized and they carry quality tools and a very wide variety for a not big box store. Also clean! This is the first 5 star i have given.

Very attentive and friendly staff, its not the closest hardware store near me but I really like the quality of service at this shop. Plenty of parking, clean and organized inside and as an added bonus, they even carried my purchases to my car (5 gallon bucket of paint).

So I show up looking for a circ. Saw blade bolt that I lost off a roof. (Left hand metric thread). They dont have but just wont quite trying to help me. Matt open every other power tool box that might have had something close. Made phone calls to neighboring auto parts stores and repair/rental facilities. They even sent an employe to a Milwaukee sales reps house to see if they can get!!! What more could you possibly ask for? At the big box stores you cant even get someone attention left alone practical help. These guys are great!!!!!

If we dont have it, you dont need it.Chances are, they have it. This place has been here since 1901? Somewhere around there. Theyre still here, because they did hardware right.The staff is polite and helpful. Prices are sometimes cheaper that Lowes, or Home Depot.And, seriously, they more than likely have what youre looking for.Support your local business, and visit there.

Only place for a wide selection of hardware in Cheshire. Be sure to get your Ace card for coupons. Pricing same as big box stores. No lumber and few plants. Local honey. #6 Melitta coffee filters. Propane.

They bait and switch. Located the sump pump check valve that I need online. Price was $8.99. Called the store to verify that they had the valve. When to that store ACE Hardware Hines and was charged $11.99. When I question the elderly cashier about the price, she immediately informed me that price is for online orders only. Problem, it does not disclose that online nor when I called and explained to the store, with the part number and how I located valve. I will not shop nor deal with dishonest merchants. Update. I was refunded and was charged the online price. I thank this ACE Hardware to take appropriate action on this complaint.

I was looking for special fasteners to fix a accessory on my motorcycle. R. W. Hine had them in stock where as the big box stores didnt carry them. I would recommend stopping by there and checking them out.

Of course I would say good things about the store that I worked at for 20 years, my brother Pat and sister in law Terry do a wonderful job running the store along with Matt Petuch the general manager. The store has so many items, if they dont stock an item they can special order it.

If I could rate them a 0 I definitely would, first and last time I will ever go to this business! They say they take pride in customer service, absolutely NOT! I drove a half hour to buy an umbrella base because the had 2 in stock. Arrive to purchase them and no one can find them first off, inventory still states 2 in stock! Sorry, but we cant find them ...... Total joke! I asked if they could check if another store had it,.........NO, we are independent. We only know our inventory...... Well clearly YOU DONT. Bunch of young kids working who definitely dont want to put any effort in at all! Unfortunately this is why private businesses dont last! Terrible place to shop, period!

Was very happy with price and customer service, but management turned me off totally. Went in as an Ace rewards member expecting free assembly and delivery as they advertise they participate in the rewards program. An extremely polite young man told me they typically only deliver to neighboring towns (I live 17 miles away). I said, I am spending $1200.00, perhaps I could speak to a manager to see if they’ll honor what they advertise. He left to see the manager, and rather than return with the young gentleman, the manager sent him back alone to tell me no. Since, this was the only establishment in the area that had the product I wanted, I was stuck if I wanted it so I bought it anyway. The young gentleman and another young associate took the time to disassemble enough of the product to get it into my car. He then made sure to inform me that they carry all the accessories. I thanked him for being so polite, professional and helpful. Then told him that he could let his manager know that he had lost a customer for life, and that after today, I will never again step foot in this store.UPDATE: Received a call from a very apologetic store owner. He assured me that he spoke to the managers of the store and used it as a teaching opportunity. He didnt have to do that, but it was a very classy thing to do. I have confidence theyll make the adjustments to prevent this from happening again. BTW - The Grill is AWESOME!

A quintessential neighborhood hardware store. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful, and they have a lot of the hard to find hardware that Lowes or Home Depot just dont specialize in.

I love to shop local. The customer service is outstanding however there prices are about 25% higher than the big box hardware stores. If I need something small and in a hurry I stop by Ace.

I came here for Benjamin Moore paint. The person at the counter was really helpful in helping me pick out a good primer and even an inexpensive brush to use with it. Very nice staff. Its a little out of the way for me, but I will be back.

This place is great! Could not be nicer or more helpful. I needed to buy a new grill and had a party in three days. (Old one died unexpectantly). They special ordered the Weber Genesis I wanted (in copper that my wife wanted) and had it here overnight. When I pulled up a young man on a fork lift asks me if I need help as I get out of my truck. I tell him Im picking up a grill. He says, copper one? Ill go pick it up and load it I the back of your truck while you go pay. Im in and out of there in 15 minutes! Service like that is rare these days! And to top it off I got a $50 gift card too!

Every time i have gone to Hines Hardware they have had what i was looking for, and the prices on what i have needed over a dozen times are close enough to the big box stores prices for me . yes its 4 minutes from my home so theres it being close too.the folks who work there have always been helpful when ive needed it and friendly

Excellent customer service but their selection can be a bit limited and prices are a little higher in comparison to online or big-box competitors. However, the money stays locally in the community so thats a plus. And if you need expertise on a project, you will definitely find some good advice here.

Nothing beats the feel of a fool old fashioned Hardware store . Forget Home Depot and Lowes..the atmosphere at R W Hine is great, people are beyond helpful and super friendly .I always leave with what I went in for and the fast in and out and not having to walk five football fields to get from paint, to garden, to plumbing is something I really appreciate after having both knees fully replaced.Check them out, excellent service, clean and organized..just doesnt get any better !!
