I scheduled myself and two daughters appointments at this location (not our normal location) and received confirmation texts and emails. Upon arrival I was told the system canceled my appointment but not my girls appointments. No apology, no offer to fit me in, just told to reschedule. When I explained I could not just reschedule as I have 3 other children with disabilities and finding child care is a challenge I was told they would not see me today. I told the front desk staff that since this was a system mistake I expect them to fit me in. I was told they have no control over the system.I am very dissatisfied and would have walked out of my children did need glasses for school. I will not reschedule and will not bring myself or family members back. We will find a new doctor due to the poor service.What happened to customer service?

Not the best My Eye Dr. I came to pick up a pair of glasses. I used my own frames and when they were given to me, was shocked to see the nose pieces hadnt been replaced. I had to ask. Really, people?

I was at this location today Friday August 14,2020 @3:45pm. I just wanted to thank Adam ( Location Manager)from the bottom of my heart for adjusting my eyeglass frames. Thank you for always being the epitome of kindness. You are always so pleasant and down to earth. You treat everyone that you encounter with dignity and respect. THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!! 🤗🤗I would recommend this location to everyone in Hampton Roads.

EyeMed at The Greenbrier Mall, Chesapeake, VA. So far, my initial visit was very good for a new Prescription Reading Glass. On the 2nd Visit (Dec 21, 2020 about 4 PM to pick up my Reading Glass was not all that good. The Attending Office worker just handed me my Ready Glass, No Word said then left to attend to an incoming patient. Adding insult to injury, another Office worker nearby and not doing anything but engaging a talk to another worker didn’t bother to offer help. I was the one who called her attention to help me for any adjustment needed. Customer Service is definitely not as you would expect from a reputable Eye Clinic.In response to the Owner’s Comments, The Performance expected by your members were basically standard on every Customer Service.to execute. You normally expect a basic customer rapport or connection. How could your Team members missed such basics? I would suggest you review your Customer Relations with your employees. I regret to inform you that I have to go back to my previous Eye Care Clinic.

I wanted to thank Adam for his help replacing my glasses. I purchased new lenses at the start of the pandemic and the frames were misplaced. Adam was extremely professional and tried to located the frames with no luck. He did a great job keeping me informed and when he made a promise he kept it. During these troubled times he was upbeat, friendly and extremely helpful and made sure I was taken care of - My eye doctor is lucky to have such a nice and professional member of their staff. This also applies to all the staff in the Greenbrier mall office - thank you all. Be safe.

If I could rate a zero star experience, I would. We ordered glasses from them a week ago and were told that the date they would be ready was January 21st. We got a text last night, stating the glasses were ready. We drove an hour, one-way, to pick up the glasses today. When we arrived at the office, we were told that someone from another office had miskeyed the text and the glasses were not ready. We also had a question about our bill and tried to explain our concern. After a few minutes of trying to figure it out, the employee went back and got the general manager and he came out to ask how he could make our experience better. He was TOTALLY condescending and made zero effort to improve our experience whatsoever. We ended up cancelling our order and will NEVER use My Eye Dr again. In reviewing our online statement through our insurance company,we also discovered that My Eye Dr overcharged us by $30.Just own up to making a mistake and make it right - dont blame another office, dont be condescending - just make it right for the customer. If you need glasses or contacts, find a place that treats you as a customer should be treated and won’t charge you more than you should be.

As a disabled person who needs to use a scooter, I was afforded every courtesy. Chairs were moved. I was asked if I could take a few steps to a chair, etc. (Not all areas in the offices and stores in the mall can accommodate a scooter due to equipment or stock display). The optometrist was very patient and answered every question. It was so greatly appreciated not to be patronized. The gentleman who helped me choose my glasses was a star! He asked me questions about frame style, color. Then he went back and fourth many times and even made very helpful suggestions until I found a pair of frames. That..... is customer service! From the ladies who greeted you as you walked in, until you walk out the door after a great fitting, I hope everyone has as good experience as I did.

I’ve had a horrible experience with this place and will not be back, nor will my husband. We will take our business elsewhere and I will not refer anyone here. First of all I was charged an extra fee for my exam after I paid and after the purchase of my new glasses. I found out by returning for a visit to have my glasses adjusted. I’m pretty sure it was billed incorrectly because I did pay what was required in full the same day of my exam leaving no balance. 10 months later the arm of my glasses broke so I inquired about having it repaired. I was told Because I did not purchase the “$25 insurance” that it could not be repaired. I asked what insurance? I was never told about any additional insurance at the time of my purchase. This also should’ve been explained at the time and not after the fact. This is especially terrible since I’ve had my Coach glasses for less than a year and they break at no fault of my own.

I just wanted to say the staff at this clinic are so friendly and their customer service is awesome. The first time I got my eyes checked I realized the prescription may have been incorrect so I came back for a recheck with no cost for both my contacts and eyes. Each time I came back the staff was so accommodating. I would recommend this place if you want to get your eyes checked and to get a pair of glasses.

Somebody really dropped the ball and nobody will take responsibility. My husband ordered his glasses a couple of days after Christmas and either the order was lost or not submitted. His glasses were supposed to be in by the 15th and now its the 28th. His current glass are taped together and they wont even give him any contacts to make it until his new glasses come in. This is last last time we will deal with them and I highly recommend going any where but here!

Theyre great with kids and have a better insurance deal for us now. I see some comments about prices being high but I feel that it goes back to what kind of insurance one has which most likely determines what is covered. Weve had great experiences here.

My son went for his annual exam and they tried to charge him an extra $30 for a retina scan even though they didnt tell him there was an extra fee. When he complained they told him there was nothing they could do and tried to say they had asked him about it after he told them they had not (his girlfriend also said they didnt say anything about a fee). He called me and they then tried to say they didnt ask because last year he had it done. But I was there last year and he did NOT! I demanded to speak to a manager and told them I was reporting them to my insurance company and only then did they agree to remove the charge and the person I spoke to was very rude about it. Our entire family has been customers for years. I think we need to rethink where we take our business

I have been to multiple locations and I have never had a bad experience until I attempted multiple times to schedule and been seen in this location. Most of the ladies that I spoke with had very negative attitudes and made me feel like they didn’t want to help as if they didn’t care if you decide to go somewhere else. I was very disappointed with this location and will not be attending this location even though it is the only one close to my location.

My family have been going here for years, but we will be changing facilities. Four members of my family wear glasses and we have never had issues until this year. The facility was much better when it was National Optometry. This time both my husband and myself had to suggest/tell them how to order our glasses. We were offered no upgrades or improvements, we had to tell them everything we wanted. We asked for copies of our prescriptions with the pupilary distance and they didnt write that down. When asked for that info was told that we need to fill out a waiver.!?! Fine we will fill out the waiver to release our info to another facility.

Just left after getting a text message that my glasses are ready for pick up. Only to get to the store and they only have the lenses not frames and the person who cuts them not in on weekends. Sooo why did I get a text stating to pick them up. My glasses were suppose to be here no later than October 24th today is the 26th.I had known this I wouldnt have wasted my lunch break. Waste of time. I dont have patience for minor things such as this. I was so irritated that I had to express it through a review to avoid taking my frustration out. They say possibly Monday unacceptable its already been a week. Definitely will be looking for another optometrist

I found the glasses to be excessively expensive. I paid over $400 for glasses for my daughter and myself after my insurance. On the day that I went to pick up my glasses, I waited forever and had to go to the front desk to remind someone that I was there.i found out that my insurance company was requesting a copy of the receipt, so I called and was told that it would be emailed to me. It never came. When I went to the office to get the receipt for my FSA, I was informed that I still owed another $15 and that I should be getting a bill. Needless to say, I will not be going to this establishment again.

I had a GREAT experience at Myeyedr. The people that works there is super friendly and very knowledgeable. The front desk greeted me with a welcoming smile and free coffee. The dr was VERY friendly. I will be coming back and letting all my family and friends know about Myeyedr in greenbrier mall!

Ok so today was my first appointment at this location and I was a little nervous and skeptical since looking at the reviews. I go to check in only to be told I did not have an appointment. Ok here we go with this mess. The very thing I read in some of the complaints. So now you are probably wondering why I gave it 5 stars. Simply because of all the things that happened after. I was upset with the notion that I did not have an appointment and showed the text response to the young lady Who was checking me in. I was expecting a rude and unfriendly response (statements made in some of the reviews) but instead I was met with a nice and apologetic tone. I was seen within 15 minutes of being there.. I had the best experience with the eye doctor who took her time to make sure my eye needs were taken care of. When I came out and was taken to the counter to go over my script and insurance allowances, I felt comfortable (although I did clutch my pearls at times with the price points lol) I must say I felt like a million bucks when I walked out. I called my friend Kim to let her know all was well and I was happy as she too was aware of the reviews and was worried about me choosing this particular establishment. I will follow up after I receive my glasses on Monday to see if they loose any stars! Lol

I called to try this office out and the lady kept putting me on hold for a longtime she didn’t know anything at all so now I’m going to a different place and so far I’m being treated with respect not like the Virginia Beach office or greenbeier office either and didn’t get different amounts of copay

Aweful, AWEFUL since this place has become My Eye Doc. Ive been going to National Optometry since I was a little girl. They issued me my bery first pair of glasses in the 6th grade. As an adult, this WAS where I chose to take my children, as well. Today, Ive decided to carry my business elsewhere after all of these years. Every since they’ve changed to, “My Eye Doc”, its been a disaster. Ive called to get my daughter’s prescription several times to no avail. The first time I was told that a manager had to be there to release the prescription and she isnt there. The second time, I was told that the Dr has to sign off on it before it can be released and he isnt going to be back in until Friday (today is Tuesday). Totally unacceptable considering that I need to order my child’s sports glasses ASAP. Had they sent it the first time, I wouldn’t be in such a time crunch. On top of that, they are rude at the front desk. They wont even acknowledge that you are standing there waiting on service, and will answer the phone if it rings before they acknowledge your presence. Ive had it with them! And Im not hesitating to take my business elsewhere.

I had a eye doctor appt with this place july20,2018. This was my first visit. When I called to make the appt. The person I spoke to was very polite. So I was not expecting to be treated so rude. The person that waited on me her name was Ciara she was so rude no customer service skill at all. An then she tried act like something was wrong with my insurance. An ask me to schedule a never appointment. So I called my insurance my self. An found out the problem was on end. My insurance told me to go back. So I went back. An she was so rude again to where I told her that I didnt even want to be seen. If this is how they treat patient especially diabetic patient. So disappointed. I didnt even read the review. Because the person I spoke with when I made these appt was so polite. I just knew it was going to be a good experience. But my wasnt I fooled. Now I see how they have a 2.8 review. Which I had read the reviews.
