Its a beautiful place that really encompasses that local feel that you want whenever you walk into a coffee shop.As a developer/SE, I prefer to have a space to work that is quiet enough to focus, yet has enough background noise to fill the silence. I love the added detail of wordless violin tracks of popular songs, its good for listening to music without causing distraction from work.Ive seen a few reviews with concern of cost, but those reviews couldnt be further from reality. $6 protein smoothies (which I recommend based on my visit)....

Outstanding, personal, cheerful, helpful service. Add to that delicious food and an outstanding cortado and I’m sold.The service area is impeccably clean. Pastries are thoughtfully displayed and labeled, tempting you to add that one more thing.The ambience is made to encourage meeting with friend or enjoying a quiet, comfortable time on your own. The ceiling is high, the seating abundant, the instrumental music at a reasonable volume all lend to a relaxed vibe.The chicken salad sandwich alone is worth the trip. It is so incredibly generous in portion, I always take home half for tomorrow’s lunch. My cortado was delicious with just the right amount of bitter balanced by mellow oat milk. One of the best I’ve had locally.Well done on all counts.

DELICIOUS! From the ambience to the handcrafted drinks and breakfast sandwiches, I have to limit myself from coming in every day (as its on the pricey side but well worth it)!My go-to is the generously portioned Avocado Toast with added bacon and tomatoes, paired with their oh-so-yummy iced chai tea latte. I love this coffee house! Ive tried many coffee shops closer to me (on the Peninsula) but no one compares to their coffee. The Caramel Popcorn Latte is my all time favorite, but this is the only place I can find it. So I drive all the way from York County just to get a cup. Worth a try, so stop in!

Okay. This place is amazing. What a perfect place to study or work or visit. Its quiet, open space. And the iced chai was SO GOOD. Spicy, but with a perfect amount of sweetness. Just enough to be so tasty.

It was...decent. Not much to expect from this place. It is like a better Panera, with less options, and similar to Taste, just not as good. My lady had her stuff burnt and had to scrape some of the burnt stuff off. My veggie wrap was okay for a quick lunch but nothing memorable, and it did not go down as easily as expected.

I came to this establishment to buy lunch. I ordered a Veggie Salad and Strawberry Lemonade. My Order came to $14.87. I had a $50 dollar bill and was REFUSED SERVICE. There was no sign at the door or at the cash register stating that this restaurant wasn’t excepting large bills or cash. How was I supposed to know that I couldn’t pay with a large bill. That was poor customer service and nobody should have to go through that. So earlier I was going to leave a 1 star. However after speaking with the supervisor, she explained everything. Very polite and understanding. I will definitely try again and come back with smaller bills next time.

Amazing comfortable coffee that excels at customer service, taste and presentation. Have spent hours here relaxing enjoying great coffee tea and food. Fast free internet also.

Gather has cultivated such a warm, intimate environment for people to come, relax and spend time together. One unique thing about this coffee shop is that they have black coffee and iced lattes on tap. Usually Im not a big fan of lattes because there is too much milk. However, the kind barista let me try a bit of it, and to my surprise its not that bad! I actually really liked it! Will definitely be coming back here soon!

Staff was very friendly and the food was so good. Everything tastes super fresh, the golden goddess is now my favorite ice latte.

Ive worked in several coffee shops, and this was the best iced latte Ive had in a long time. They used quality products and took the time to perfectly craft each beverage. Itll take longer to get your beverage than Starbucks, but its so worth it. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. Very clean and welcoming. This is a place you must visit for if you want a perfectly crafted espresso beverage.

I went to Starbucks and spent $8.50 this morning on a coffee that was mediocre. A few hours later, on this chilly, rainy day, I ended up at Gather for a pumpkin spice latte... my Lord.... this was THE BEST cup of coffee Ive had in 3 years. They are the nicest people and the place is decorated so beautifully!! You OWE IT TO YOURSELF to give it a try!!

Outdoor seating was dog friendly, the iced coffee and iced chia latte was delicious. The breakfast croissant sandwich with apples were very good and filling for breakfast. Inside was a nice atmosphere.

I love this coffee shop! They have a good menu of beverages and snacks, and are also great for breakfast and lunch. Seating is comfortable for meetings, social get togethers or just solo work/reading. It is always spotless inside as well!

Gather is a bit tucked away with an unassuming sign in an area you might not frequent, but once you get inside you’ll realize exactly what all the fuss Is about. It feels cozy, with most tables having high-backed chairs normally reserved for your living room and tons of natural light. The room is open and sparse, a great place for a group or even for a bit of quiet if you find yourself needing a workspace. The coffee is the real selling point. They use Prescription Coffee beans which are roasted locally and the staff is welcoming and attentive. Every dollar you spend here goes back into the local community. I will absolutely continue coming here.

Loved the ambience, the staff was friendly & helpful, the location was clean with many seating options for indoors and outdoors. They even offered fall coffee and tea options. I went with my favorite tea drink of an iced Chai tea laite with almond milk. I really enjoyed my drink I could tell my the taste it was perfectly flavored/created. This coffe place also has a small selection of food items drom scones, to smooties, to avocado toast. This coffee shop should be added to your list too as a high priority place to check out and experience! I promise you that you wont be disappointed!

Coffee just regular, food display wasnt eye catching like Panera. I wanted strong coffee attendant recommended their regular coffee with a shot expresso. It was ok, nothing like Starbucks or Dunkins regular coffee with a shot expresso. 7-11 is even better in my opinion. Nice atmosphere tho, clean, good customer service. If your looking to support local and just a change, then this is your spot. 3 stars for the taste and effect of the coffee, 5 stars for customer service. This just my opinion.

I love this little cafe. It has a great coffee house atmosphere, amazing drinks, and friendly staff. Their salads are my favorite as well. I come here any time I’m by the area, as I go to the one life right next door. I try to treat myself to a Gather drink or meal twice a week before I go to work. I’ve been coming here almost two years consistently and can’t say enough great things about the cafe and especially the staff!

This is a nice chill spot. You want to try something different and better come here.

Perfect Cafe Shop! The food is amazing and delicious. The interior design is cozy and relaxing. It’s exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We went with our 1 year old and she loved the food. Excellent place to go alone, with friends, and family. Great customer service !

Sunlight brightens this roomy coffee shop and its casual balance of industrial and rustic décor. The cinnamon mocha latte I tried was well flavored but heavily sweetened and tasted a tad burnt. The sandwiches make for a reasonably portioned (and beautifully plated) lunch but are mediocre in quality (e.g. deli meat, fairly plain chicken salad). The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, this shop is a welcome addition to an area primarily dominated by chain restaurants, and I hope their menu quality will improve over time.

Gather is a wonderful cafe with great seating, warm lighting, and a peaceful atmosphere. Great place for a family to enjoy time together or even to study for an exam. Food is tasty, drinks are delicious and everything is reasonably priced! Love, love love Gather!

I LOVE Gather! I go here twice a week between my daughters appointments, and I will never go back to Starbucks 😂 it has the perfect coffee shop atmosphere, and the batistas are all super friendly. A little pricey, but to me, its worth it.

ADORABLE CAFE!!! Staff was wonderful, we had car side pickup and our delivery lady was absolutely adorable and took wonderful care of us. Food and coffee was amazing. I highly recommend their bronze goddess drink. I don’t live in the area but I would absolutely come again!

So let me start by saying my husband and I do not have super educated palettes when it comes to coffee. The coffee was... okay, probably good or great to huge coffee drinkers. We were expecting some kind of sweetness to our drinks since we ordered white chocolate but really we just got bitter coffee. We paided about 20 for the 2 drinks a scone that was a over baked, and a Turkey bacon ranch wrap.Scone: was soft in the center but way too crunchy and over baked on the outsideWrap: barely any ranch so I didnt taste it. Overall the wrap was average.Overall, the experience wasnt awful but I dont think what we got was worth 20-22$. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Not a bad place, we just didnt care for it.

Horrible. I asked for a table. The response was theres a table in the corner. (No eye contact, no greeting, no kiss my ...) The kicker is I waited over 30 minutes for no service. Leaving out very disappointed 😞. The breakfast menu didnt even look too appealing anyway. Very limited. My first and last time here I would not recommend...and it was not busy at all. Waste of a drive. Did I say very disappointing 😔.

I live a little ways from this coffee shop, so I cant stop by very often. However its always a nice experience when I do. Quality coffee, espresso drinks, and syrups, as well as friendly service!

Kitchen was quick, and the staff was friendly, but it took a half hour to get my coffee (which was wrong). It was only moderately busy, so no excuse there... When it was re-made - thankfully quickly this time - my order was wrong again... If time isnt a factor its an otherwise nice place... 🤷‍♂️

This was my first time here and chose it because I had time to use as I was waiting for others that were elsewhere, so I wanted to sit back and relax with coffee. While it is a nice place, their refills are not free (which Im ok with) but nor are they a reduced price, which isnt.

Had a great cup of coffee and guacamole with my wife at Gather this morning. Good. Coffee shop atmosphere and the two stereotypical neckbeard wearing hipsters on their iMac laptops seemed to be enjoying the Wi-Fi.

Clean and socially distance areas with an amazingly friendly staff. The food and beverages are definitely worth checking out.

Stumbled on this place and it was just what I needed: welcome and calm atmosphere, high quality beverages, comfy chairs with tables and wall hookups very available. Basically a place to recharge in every way.

This is my favorite coffee, meeting or lunch spot. It is so open and comfortable. The menu is always getting new yummy stuff, and the coffee flavors are delicious. The coffees are special blends, not just regular boring coffee. And the people that work here speak life, encourage your day and just make you feel loved. Its like going to an old friends house for a cup of coffee, they know you by name and are genuinely happy to see you. And my most favorite part is that the proceeds from any purchases go back into the community, to help build and restore love and hope in people.

Stopped here for a few coworkers and me to have a discussion before a meeting and we were not able to find an open table.  An employee has heard our dilemma and offered us their conference room to use.  The atmosphere of the place is really nice and comfortable.  They brought some, I think, pita chips and some dip for us to munch on while we wait for our food.  I ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich with a “Christmas in a cup” drink, which is a cold brew with some peppermint.  I enjoyed it and I would like to try some of their other options. Overall it was yummy, expensive as expected, and a pleasing decor.

Nice alternative to a corporate coffee chain as this is owned by local Community Church folk. Great atmosphere for all ages, groups, business, etc. Ive gone solo and with friends with kids and without and always been super easy to sit, order, eat and Gather! Wonderful coffees, desserts, pastries and eats menu. Very clean. Smelled and saw essential oils blazing and smelled wonderful. Would come back often. New wine tasting room directly next store is another added bonus to Western Branch!

Stopped in with teen Grandchild, ordered myself a regular coffee and her a hot chocolate. The staff I didnt find friendly. They were not helpful to a new person. My coffee was hardly warm and her hot chocolate was cool. Will not return or recommend.They act as if they could care less.

Great food! I got the supreme BLT without avocado with apple slices and green tea w/honey. There is an area where you can add whatever you like to your beverage (syrup, sugar, honey etc.).Its quiet with music playing in the background. Plenty of space for groups of all sizes. You can come here to study, hang out, or hold a meeting. Staff was incredibly helpful and very friendly!

Very busy but still very accommodating. I had the special cinnamon white chocolate coffee and was delighted. Hubby had a red velvet cupcakes which he loved. We were happily surprised the cupcakes hail from Sugar Plum Bakery in VA Beach! Keep up the good work and packed house Gather!!

My first visit and I really liked it. The coffee is delicious but $2.50 cost doesnt get you a free refill. There is a good vibe there, high ceilings, big comfy chairs and there seemed to be a lot a people taking advantage of just hanging out and being on their electronic devices. I didnt have any food this time but prices seemed a little high to me. All and all, I would go back again.

I walked in and was greeted with pleasant “hellos” by two knowledgeable staff. This cafe is modern, clean and it has such a relaxing vibe as the tunes flow from the speakers. The food was delicious and the smoothies are delightful. I can definitely see my family and I coming back to “Gather” around a table or two! Thank you all for allowing my experience to be magical. I definitely needed some mommy-time, alone. What a great 30 minutes I had to decompress after a hard day of working. Thanks all!

Love stopping here. Im as comfortable alone as I am with a group here. The coffee is always great & the food is good as well. The service is always done with a smile or a greeting. A great place to stop when you get a chance.
