Best machine shop around. Kurt and the boys get me hooked up all the time!
The best machine shop in Hampton roads! They always do a great job.
These guys gave me quality work at a great price. What else can you ask for?
I misplaced a cylinder head dowel pin for my LS motor and I needed it ASAP. No one had it in stock at the auto parts store and so I called this shop. They had the piece and for a great price. Great people at this shop, you can tell. Will be doing business with them in the future and I recommend you do too.
Needed a Corvette LT4 engine block prepped for repairs and Tim and Kurt explained what was needed and how long it would take. Came in under time frame and correct. Came by later with a piston lock issue and Tim took care of it immediately which was a surprise. Great shop, professionals all the way
Always a great experience those guys no there stuff best machine shop in v.a. period
Knowledgable and experienced staff. Super helpful and very efficient work in a timely fashion. Recommended to everyone in need of a machine shop
Excellent! Fast and reliable.
Excellent work. Very professional. Hands down best in area.
These guys arent just a one trick pony, they know how to do everything. Ive tried many machine shops in the area, but these guys are the best. Super friendly, very knowledgeable, and they do their best to accommodate your needs. Ive brought heads, blocks, and various equipment parts in for refurbishing and they handled everything quickly and at a fair price. Tried other shops and they didnt want to be bothered with smaller stuff, were irritable when I had a question or would take over a month to do something simple. Thumbs up. Thanks fellas.
Exceptionally talented and friendly personnel who go out of their way to make sure the job is done right. During the course of assessing the job there were several calls from Kurt to discuss what was needed and he patiently explained things if they were not understood. He was always available to answer questions to help in the process of getting the right parts for the head and took the time to measure components while on the phone to verify what was needed. When an issue was discovered, upon pick up of my components, Kurt tracked down the problem and immediately fixed it.His prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs machining work done.
Quick service and good prices. Would recommend.
Guy needs block redone. Pays for new crankshaft and all needed to have it done correctly. Gets block back and assembles back to factory spec. Month later looses oil pressure on brand new oil pump. Proceed to tear down engine. Finds shaved old crank in block and oversized bearings. Refuses to warrant work done or give back the money spent for a new crank. Do yourselves a favor. Go to a better shop for machining work. This one is scamming hard working military men and women out of their money and keeping his shady business up at the cost of the customer. That is all.
If zero stars was an option thats what Id rate them at. Had to rebuild a motor they rebuilt(less then a thousand miles on motor). Paid for a balanced motor, motor was not balanced. Cam bearings not installed correctly and etc etc etc. Stay away from this shop.
Great Guys! Helped me out with a problem i was having with my block. Knocked it out while I there and didnt even charge me for it. Magnum Machine is a prime example of how an auto repair shop or machine shop should operate. Will be bringing all my builds to them from now on!!
Just got my engine motor back from Kurt @magnum machine. Havent fired her up yet but his attention to detail & willingness to discuss parts for the build alone made it a good experience.Im satisfied with the professionalism & competitive prices magnum offered on my customroller stroker. Kurt & Tim are true professionals
They redid the bottom end of a 2001 dodge I have in December 2016. Less than 6 months and 5000 miles later, it has no oil pressure. Went back to them and theyre telling me something else is wrong with the truck and want to charge me to pull it down again. Oil pressure comes from the clearances between the main bearings, which i never touched. $1700 wasted at this shop and they wont own up to their own mistakes. I highly suggest taking your motor elsewhere in the Hampton roads area.Update: After pulling the motor down, I found out that he ground my old crank down .040 and reinstalled it after I paid for him to install a replacement. The entire left bank of the motor was also machined too tight which is requiring me to bore it out even further to clean up the excessive wear(only about 5000 miles on the rebuild) Damage is circled in red.
We have been using Maginum for years. They provide excellent service at reasonable prices.
