Doug and his crew are on point! This place is crazy busy but they still take time to work with you and the installation was CLEAN AF. Store setup is clean and well organized. You can tell this place is well managed. Very easy to spend money here!

Unfortunately I have to give this company one star and that is only because of the equipment they installed was good. I had an after market radio/back up camera installed into our older Nissan Titan for my sons 16th Birthday. We left the truck there one day for installation. The company did call and notify me that because it was an older truck pulling off the dash to install the radio would could cause cracking to the dash and I gave approval for that. When we went to pick it up the next day, The cracking is much worse than I expected it was in multiple locations alll across the dash, but I was actually ok with that because I knew that was a possibility. However when I went to pick truck up the rear view mirror was hanging loose or dangling from windshield. So I called company back to let them know they told me to bring truck up to take a look. the employee went out and came right back in and told me that the glue was coming loose and referred me to a glass company which is next door to his shop. I told him the rear view mirror wasn’t like that when I dropped it off the day before. He told me sorry its just an older truck and the heat must have over time caused the glue to breakdown…. I said so your telling me this glue just so happen to breakdown while my truck was in the parking lot for 24 hours as it was not dangling before I dropped it off. He then basically said yes that he did the install and he did not touch the rear view mirror. I then said that made no sense, highly unlikely that the sun caused that to happen in 24 hours while the truck was in the parking lot. Especially since they were pulling out parts of my dash board and also installing a blue tooth speaker directly beside the mirror not even 4 inches away. As well the dash board is completely cracked in multiple locations which leads me to believe they may have had a hard time getting the old piece out maybe the mirror was bumped in that process. All of this I can still deal with a completely cracked and broken dash board a broken rear view mirror, but the worst part is the man/employee that was talking to me was so mad and irate, he was raising his voice, telling me he did not break it. He slammed my truck door walked off and put up a piece sign and said duces? OK… then he came back yanked open my truck door and told me he may have done something for me like split the repair cost, if I wouldn’t have accused him of breaking the mirror…. I told him he had poor customer service, and you should not talk to your customers in such an aggressive manner. I would not recommend anyone purchasing from this company unless you want to deal with the headache’s I had to deal with. Poor customer service as well as bad installation as I had many things broken In the process and had to deal with a thug who was disrespectful, unprofessional, and did not take responsibility for something that clearly broke during installation.

Hands down best installers in the business. Nothing compares to the time, effort, and care they spent doing a quality install on my car. Go ahead and skip Best Buy and come straight here theyll treat you and your car right.

Very over priced equipment. Not good with placing panels and upholstery back in place. My upholstery was hanging off doors. Josh told me wrong set of speakers and when it was time to install stated he never told me the speaker size. Dismantled my speakers and wouldnt let me bring in my own set up. They charged me $1400 for 2 pair of 6.5, tweeters, 4inch speakers and $800 for labor. Biggest rip off Ive ever encountered. There was no accountability with customer service. I will not be bringing my party bus to him. Save yourself some time going to someone else especially refusing to do what the cuatomer asked

I needed some help with a used vehicle we had just purchased for our son for graduation. The stereo system sounded awful, but I had no idea what it needed to sound better. I went to Audio One on battlefield Blvd and talked with Doug. He was very courteous and patiently talked with me and went over all my options. He even printed me out a few different quotes so that I could go home and talk with my husband about it. Then when my husband came back with me a few days later he even took the time to go over everything again with him. We decided on some new speakers and a new stereo. It turned out great. The music sounded so much better. After the install, Doug made sure to show our son how everything worked. Great service and delivery. Would absolutely recommend this place.

Terrible customer service I went to get my after market alarm system taken off of my vehicle and when I arrived I wasn’t told any additional information except that it’s runs. I park my car and after about a 30 mins of sitting it never turned back on. I called and Doug behind the counter caught the nastiest attitude with me and failed to let me know that my battery wasn’t fully charged and that they had to jump my car in order to start it, and then he hung up on me and never picked up the phone again when I tried to call back. I recommend this place if you don’t want to be told everything about your vehicle. $99 wasted

We put ourselves in a bind with a DIY project and Doug and his team bailed us out. It was pricy but they got us in and out in 45 mins with same day service on a Saturday. Can’t really beat that, thank you for being flexible.

Horrible customer service. The Chesapeake location needs to hire more “knowledgeable” people! It took 3 weeks to get my car in for a remote start installation. They kept it all day, and when I finally got it home, it didn’t work right. It took 2 days to get someone to finally answer the phone (hire someone to answer the phone already!) and they couldn’t get me back in to fix it for another week and a half. 😡. In the meantime, I learned that there’s a place in Virginia Beach that only installs remote starts, they do excellent work, AND they charge nearly 1/2 of what Audio One charged me. Audio One.... stick to installing stereos! 😡

Just got my 1997 BMW Z3 back from Audio One on Battlefield Blvd. Wow, what an awesome job they did. They removed the factory storage box between the seats built and built a custom sub box. It was way more than expected, they really do great custom work.Just went back to get bass upgrade in 2018 Camaro SS, with the Bose system it lacks good deep base. Josh hooked me up with an awesome package (see photos), so if you have a 6 Gen Camaro go see these guys, you wont be sorry!!!

I have a 1970 Mustang Grande that has been almost fully restored. One of the last pieces of the puzzle was getting the stock AM 8 Track radio back to working order. The radio had 1 channel (15 watts) but I wanted to keep the vehicle as stock as possible. Audio One replaced the single cone dash speaker with a dual cone stereo speaker, and I have 2 6x9s in the rear deck.They sent my 1970 head unit to Ricks radio conversion, who converted it to 4 channels ( 45Watts per channel), he added FM and Aux in, and made sure the AM and 8 Track were in good working order. Now I have a factory AM / 8 track that can also receive FM as well as play my iPod and it looks no different that the day it came from the factory. The sound quality is awesome .Before doing this project I met with Jim ( the owner), who was very reassuring that this project was in their wheelhouse despite the degree of difficulty, there were a couple of snags ( as is to be expected when working on a 50 year old vehicle) but they were handled with aplomb and the installer Josh could not have been nicer and he cleaned up the rats nest of wires from where the previous owner had an aftermarket stereo installed as well as took care of a couple loose ends from where I installed a new Tachometer. Chris was my point of contact and did a great job of communicating with me and setting up the install.These guys have done work for me previously and I was very happy with the work done in the past on my other Mustang. They never tried to sell me on a particular product but rather listened to what I wanted and gave me options on how that could be achieved.I am grateful for the service they provided, they are a professional bunch but the environment there is very laid back . This was by no means a plug and play job, but they could not have done anything better .At times I was frustrated with delays in getting the dual cone ordered, but I am so glad I stuck with them . For in the end the project turned out great and I could not be happier!Kudos !!!!

I was researching various places to perform a professional install on my 2021 Nissan Maxima and decided on Audio One Chesapeake. I had already purchased the equipment, a Kicker 10 CompC, Blaupunkt 4 channel amp, 8 gauge wiring kit and a LOC, all from Amazon, and made the appointment. On my appointment day, not 5 minutes after my car was taken to the back, the technician, Ben, came out and had the equipment that I had bought on the counter. He informed me that the LOC was pretty much junk and the wiring kit wouldnt last a year because it wasnt copper. He then told me he could make the amp work but it was unnecessarily large and wouldnt perform as well as a mono amp. Ben also informed me that the Maxima has a very good, 11 speaker Bose system already. He wasnt upselling, he was making professional suggestions to give me what I was looking for, fabulous sound in my new car and I knew I was kind of lowballing when I purchased the equipment. So, he quoted the price of a Hertz mono amp, LOC w/Accubass load match and a proper 8GA wiring kit, all very reasonable and I decided to go with it. After about 2 1/2 hours, Ben came to get me and took me to the back to view & hear the installation. He had expertly hidden the amp, no wires showing and the bass adjustment knob looked like it was installed when the car was built. I could hear the bass as I walked in and sat in the drivers seat. He pointed out the bass knob and asked me to adjust it, which I did and he told me a better sub would be far better. At first, Im thinking it sounds good to me and then he offered to hook up a sub that would take the system over the top. He hooked up a Mojo Pro 12 sub and all I can say is, HEARING is believing! The Kicker sub was struggling with the power the Hertz amp was delivering but the Mojo was saying give me more and was hitting with tremendous bass and clarity. I know this review is lengthy but I had to give recognition to the Audio One team at the Chesapeake location for their amazing professionalism and car audio expertise.

Installed a kenwood touch screen stereo in my VW Jetta. Looks and sounds amazing. Took them about 45min and I was on my way. Highly recommend this place! 👍

Audio one messed up. Why the 5 stars then you say?When we visited about 8-9 months ago we got a high end system for my wifes Jeep. To be honest it was done poorly.We went back in recently and were pleased to find out they were under new management. With Bob at the helm, my wifes system sounds like a dream. Josh did a good job running and managing the wiring as well as tuning the system. We both couldnt be more pleased with the attention to detail, re-tuning of the amp, working towards our desires for looks, and overall achieving a sound performance well beyond our expectations.Thanks again Bob and Josh for doing such a great job.If you recently had a bad experience, come back, and give them another chance. Youll be glad you did!

Poor Service the people that you talk to have attitudes and look as if they hate there jobs there customer service is poor and when you call them they act as if they cannot answer questions about products of stero and amps and cables needed basically I wouldnt even give them 1 star but had to in order to write this review about how awful I was treated while there over expensive and even herd a guy outside when I left saying the quality of work was done poor tonjis car while explaining to the manager what they did wrong and what needed fixed and he paid already and was getting the run around it sounded like very awful people as said there attitudes sucked dont go here go to another store this is keeping it 💯 and truthful with yall

Went in with a issue with the backup camera in a install I did myself. They were to get me in right away, and they fixed the issue. Mike was really helpful in explaining what was wrong with the install and what he needed to do to fix it. Everyone was friendly they got me in and out quick, and they didnt charge me an arm and a leg. Will definitely be back with more business...

Fantastic experience. Figured I may get pushed to the back of the line because I brought 90% of my own install but that wasnt the case. Install looks good, sounds good and it was done in a timely fashion. Had a simple install done with 2 12s, amp and a custom enclosure. Sounds great, might be back for some sound deadening and anti-vibration cus it definitely hits now.Matt and Josh were very helpful over the phone and in person, considering Im not too inclined on audio and thanks to whoever did the install, I didnt catch his name though.

Saturday evening I just finish getting my truck windows tinted and drove up Audio One. The manager was very courteous he show me couple different style of radios. I pick one ant his tech (Dougs) was on point and had me out within the hour. I give them 5 stars for good work and clean environment.

I went in for them to install a new radio in my car. They had a tech look at my car and said they had the dash kit in stock. While they were installing they realized it was not the right one. So I had to drive off with it looking messed up while they ordered a new one. They were supposed to call me when it came in. After I didnt hear from them in over a week I called them only to discover it was in and nobody bothered to call me. I spoke to Josh and he told me to come in on Saturday at 10 and they would install it. I get there and they proceed to tell me that theres several people in front of me and it will be about four hours. I even asked if I could get priority since this was due to their mistake in the first place. They told me no and I could come back. So when I come back they tell me its still the wrong part and the box was labeled incorrectly. So they had to order the part again. When it did come in they called a wrong number and left a message so once again I had to call to see if it was in. They said it would take no more than an hr. It took over an hr and a half. This was one of my worst customer service experiences ever. What made it the worst is being told I could not be made a priority even though I had to come back due to a mistake they made.Jim I didnt know how to reply back to you. Yes you can call me.

The staff at audio one in Chesapeake Are very professional as well as friendly. The shop is clean. I took my car in to get the auto start repaired. I expected to receive a high bill, but instead they gave my a very, very affordable friendly bill. I can honestly say that I would go back for ALL of my car needs that they take care of.

Brought my car in to have a basic automatic starter put in. They also linked it to my original key fob, which I was happy about because the controllers that came with the starter kit only had 1 button. Impressive job!

Recently had an audio system put in and my Amp was causing my headlights and gauges to dim every time the speakers hit and no one could figure it out. Had a battery put in just for amp and same result. Called around and no one could tell me how to fix it was repeatedly told that sometimes that just happens. Great products josh the man that knows more than he puts on

Went to Audio One initially for an upgrade to my stock radio. Chris did a great job of showing me through some of the latest options available to include Android Auto / Apple CarPlay compatible touchscreen systems. Pricing was reasonable, but where the guys at Audio One really shined was in the professionalism of the install quality and their desire to make sure every detail was taken care of. The work looks like my vehicle came from the factory this way and the functionality is fantastic. They helped to troubleshoot through several intricate details of interfacing with the pre-existing steering wheel controls and USB ports to ensure I had a system that wasnt just functional, but perfect. I went back to them to for a complete speaker upgrade and backup camera installation, and again they were nothing but service-oriented to make sure things were exactly as I wanted. I would absolutely recommend them for any vehicle audio solution from simple radio upgrades to full speaker replacements, and for other vehicle accessories such as cameras or remote start functionality. Thanks to everyone at the Chesapeake store on Battlefield for a system and experience that wildly exceeded my expectations.

Have to admit Im pretty disappointed with the service after the sale and install of a head unit in my car. The microphone for the bluetooth system doesnt work. No matter what I do with the phone or options in the head unit it doesnt work. I have sent 3 e-mails to the shop in over a weeks time with zero reply. Definitely lost a customer.

Honestly what kind of place is this if u can’t care for your customers safety not only for the car to catch fire but cause serious body injuries this really isn’t right please don’t cause ya troubles out here take this somewhere Else. Please care for everyones safety this is not appropriate. That customer is in prayer almost could’ve lost my brother in Christ he would always be in my prayers. Ya should be earning money and joy from customers not losing customers.

I came in having issues with subs blowing wayyy to frequently. I also was not thrilled with the level of bass I was getting. Audio One identified a wiring issue and helped me find a compatible sub with the right sound for me. I will be back getting my next vehicle done here for sure

I have never written a review on anything before, ever in my life. But I am taking the time out today to report such poor service with the subwoofer that was installed. It literally caught on fire and I witnessed my friends hand catch fire. If u do not wish to have your vehicle catch fire avoid this shop.

I own a BMW that came stock with their very basic Hi-Fi audio system that is mediocre at best. So I began my search to upgrade my audio system and literally called every car audio company in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. At first, I was unable to find any company that was even willing to attempt to upgrade my BMW audio system, but then I found Audio One, which has locations in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. I met with Josh Pike, who is their lead technician at the Chesapeake location. Although there were some plug and play systems out there, they werent the right sound that I was looking for.Josh then began to do research and consult with other experts in the business and in the end, he put together an absolutely amazing sounding audio system including DSP for my BMW 535i. It is probably the best audio system I have ever had and Ive had quite a few installed in different cars over the years. It literally sounds like Im in the front row of a concert. Im sure there were probably other technicians involved with the installation, but in the end Josh put in a numerous amount of hours to get the system to the incredible sound it has now. I highly recommend this company.

If you source your own equipment for install and have them them do the labor beware that customers who purchase equipment from them will be taken cared of first. From what I gathered, it was a well get to it when we have a chance since you didnt buy from us. However, I was not informed of this prior to making my install appt. The install could have been cleaner in several aspects. First...one of my door panels had the bottom screws missing, I later found them under the rear seat. Second...there was speaker wire clippings in the truck which my 7yr old stuck his hand on. Third...the speaker cables couldve been tidied up a bit, they was just connected and shoved in under the seat. Overall, the install could have been cleaner and more professional. I did need my truck back by a certain time frame as I was going out of town for work and that could be the explanation of the rush, but not what expected for $800.

They did great fast work on my car got my front speakers up and running again and both my amplifiers tuned in an hour my car sounds great thanks to thier help will definitely go here again if I ever need to

Brought my 2017 sierra in to get and complete audio upgrade. Component door speakers, subs,amps, etc. I originally bought all my equipment to do myself but been too busy to install, these guys here got me going in one day. Not only did they do a excellent job. The professionalism was stellar. Nor did they try and sell me their own products or something i dont need. Was up front and truthfull. Qouted me a great price and left my truck clean and sounds great! Im already thinking about bringing my car in for an upgrade..

My husband took his f 350 dually there to get a new stereo deck put in and some door speakers. They cracked a piece of his dashboard now they have to call to get a new piece ordered. They cracked a piece on his drivers side door now his hand away goals when he gets in and out of his truck and it was not like that before he took his vehicle there. They said they were not the one to cause the issue with the door but they were. They took a lot longer than most places take. And when my husband got his vehicle back there was more damage done then when he gave them the vehicle. I would not recommend this shop to anyone!!!!!!

They ripped me off. I bought a 75 dollar stereo and they charged me over three hundred dollars to instal it. Then my girlfriend bought a radio and it came with free installation. Well Audio One charged her two hundred dollars for labor and installation fee. Keep in mind she spent 150 dollars for the radio. So why did they charge her for installation fee when it was supposed to be free. I will never go to Audio One again

AVOID THIS PLACE!! I brought my car in for a rear speaker change and they destroyed my amp. Their fix was to sell me a new cable for 25 bucks. (that didnt even fix the problem) Worst experience in car audio Ive ever encountered - no contest. Dont bring your vehicle here for any reason. Theyll take your money, break your stuff, and not think twice about doing the right thing. If I could give zero stars I would.

This is my go to place. The staff is friendly, comical, and work hard. I have had problems with newly bought vehicles stereos being improperly set up, remote starter needs, new stereo system needs, loose cable needs, control mounting needs, and more. They fixed all of my needs. They are fast and have fair pricing.

Something happened with my friends hellcat where it wasn’t up to the standards audio one is known for but that was one bad seed they went and made it right and very impressive with what they done

Best audio shop around and excellent customer service as well...Ask for Rick or Mike as they helped me out are were very friendly and knowledgeable of their products.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Back in February I’ve purchased a double din radio with installation roughly over $700 and since then it’s been malfunctioning. I can only increase my volume to 14 because anything higher my radio will go in “limp” mode and shut off. My phone doesn’t connect to Bluetooth as well. So this morning (at 1016am) I dropped my car off after I called around 945am and explained everything and they said come by and drop it off. As I was there, I also wanted my rear window tinted and also purchase angel eyes leds for my blue challenger. Everything seemed great, at least that’s what I thought. They said they’ll give me a call in a while to discuss the price, which was not a problem at all, but around 330pm I haven’t got a call so I called to see if everything was ok thus far. They said I was up next and I already knew it’ll probably be around 545pm when everything probably is done because of the time (I assumed) they started. So as my wife and I came back right before 550pm, I walked in and they guy I discussed my options with and problem with looked at me and turned the other way. He didn’t even explain anything, nothing. Like I was just some random person window shopping saying I’ll come back another day. I was willing to pay over $1000 to get my car back right and that’s not how you treat a paying customer. It’s always communication. I’d rather get a phone call at 12pm saying “we’re backed up, can we reschedule it another day” than to not get any phone call at all and get a ride back there to see my car sitting in the same spot. I WILL NEVER, EVER, GO THERE AGAIN. What a waste of $700, and their customer service is horrible! What a way to treat active duty Navy who was deployed and to come back and not even get their problem resolved from which it should’ve been done properly the first time. This place by far is the worst Car Audio Shop on the East Coast

They had all day to work on my car and they didnt finish on time. They kept delaying the completion time by 30 minutes every time I asked. Didnt get my car back until after 7pm, and they close at 6pm.

I spent a grip to have 1 jl put in 3 years ago came back w a problem was told to wait or drop off of coarse i wanted to get it fixed so i waited.... 4 damn hours they forgot to look at it then gave me a load of bs abput a blown sub that turned out to be fine( went to Premier audio... It was a module that was very cheap and porly installed went back to audio one another guy was there i told him what happened he apologized fixed it but that took to long also... And upon me inspecting the job i found that connections wear improperly made w electrical tape (again) instead of very cheap and easy T connectors... Which i so lazy and unprofessional and i paid for a professional job not this jerryrigged b.s.
