It seems like true customer service is a lost and dying art in our fast paced culture today. However what I just experienced at John Paul Tailor’s has restored my faith that there are still companies out there that know how to treat and take care of their customers.  I came here today to buy a suit, and I was super impressed at the friendliness and attentiveness of the entire staff, not to mention the fact that when they heard that the wedding I’m officiating is later today, they agreed to tailor my suit the same day! I cannot explain in words how impressed I am with this business. I am new in town and dont close on my house for awhile and all my things are in storage. I needed a new suit really fast and called a lot of places and none could help. I called John Paul Tailors and the most polite woman answered the phone and said they would help me if I came in fast so I did and Sam the Tailor met with me and was phenomenal. He gave me suggestions but also LISTENED to what I wanted and was very receptive to that. He eventually knew the style I wanted and wouldnt let me leave until I was 100% satisfied. I just came to pick it up and when I put the suit on it was literally as close to perfect as can be. Just an absolute amazing experience and I will never go anywhere else to buy a suit. Excellent service! Pleasant, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. And very skilled! Somehow I managed to tear a huge rip in the seat of my cargo shorts! Very embarrassing but the gentleman who was fitting my suit took my ripped shorts and within minutes had repaired them! Amazing! And even though I had obviously ripped them before I walked into the store the kind man refused to let me pay for rescuing my shorts and my dignity. Lol! Big respect, would highly recommend!

Review is for wedding dress alteration.I brought my dress here, needing a couple alterations. A hem, straps shortened with some taking in at bust and bustling. Ended up costing me $800....more than the dress itself. While the woman was putting up the bustles, he told her to only charge me for 3 no matter how many I need...then after seeing the dress requires 6, charged me for 5 at $50 each for a simple button. They both tried to make it seem like I was getting such a great deal but honestly, I got robbed.At my final fitting, I THANKFULLY brought my sister with me because the dress had tons of pieces hanging out when bustled which he wasn’t even going to fix. Aside from the ridiculous amount of money I was charged, the worst part is that on my wedding day the dress didn’t even stay bustled!! Had to keep having guests try to find the loop and bustle it up only to have it fall apart again in minutes. My straps kept falling down also.If you need your wedding dress altered, look elsewhere so you aren’t charged a fortune for subpar work.

I picked up my wedding gown today and it is absolutely perfect!!! I can not rave enough about JP Tailors. Laurie, Cheryl, and Sam are amazing! From my first phone call with Laurie she was so patient with me, and her knowledge and expertise was apparent. She prepared me for my wedding dress fitting and was extremely organized with helping to get my groom, groomsmen and father fitted with their suits. Laurie and Cheryl were so kind, helping me in and out of my dress during every appointment and assuring me that it looked beautiful. Sam was great with my fiancé, measuring him and making him feel comfortable. The whole staff really helped set expectations and give us a clear vision of our outfits. Their sense of style and customer service is amazing!

I used JP Tailors for the tuxedo rentals for our wedding. The tuxedos were exactly as they were promised, hand checked by the JPs staff and tweaked to make sure that everyone was looking their best. My wife had a very intricate wedding gown that JPs and their team of alteration experts tailored exactly as she wanted. I wear a suit every day for work, since the wedding, I used JPs exclusively for all of my suit and formal wear needs. The service of the staff is unparalleled. JP Tailors is always great. Laurie and Cheryl are always friendly and always complete my requests promptly. I met the owner today who was very nice and was able to repair two coats for me on the spot! They have a very nice selection of hand picked suits of many colors for any occasion in their shop. Any tailoring needs I go to them first!

I dropped a dress off to get the hem taken up, no other modifications. I left it there for two weeks and when I went back to get it, the woman working was in the back for a long time and then the tailor came out and said he was “freaking out” about the length so they wanted me to try it on again. I noticed it had raw edges so I assume it was just cut in the back while I was initially waiting and then after trying it back on, they asked me to wait a few minutes while they “finalized” the hem. I waited in my car for about half an hour and the girl brought it out and said they just like to make sure and this is why they like to do multiple fittings. I was never informed of multiple fittings and in their date book it said “pick up” so I thought it was a done deal.To be clear, everyone was very nice and professional. They did a fine job on the hem but personally I thought it was quite expensive for what I needed and I will not be returning after what happened today. I would rather someone own up to their mistake and say “hey we totally forgot” than try to sell me on some excuses that didn’t really make sense.

I found Sam over the summer and now this is the only place I trust to do my alterations and repairs. Always great service and they have really reasonable prices for the quality they offer.

I needed a suit for a wake and a funeral with a short lead time due to circumstance. To make things worse, I knew next to nothing about suits and had no idea where to start. Sam & Lori turned all of that on its head.They helped me in every way another human being could in regards to this experience. They took the time to help me find a suit that looked great on me (which has been tough for me in the past) and made me feel welcome and comfortable in the store. They gave me a great deal that was well within my budget when they absolutely didnt have to. They even took the time out of their busy schedules to educate me on how to wear and care for the suit I was investing in. They helped with all the accessories from shoes, to a belt, to shirts, ties, and pocket squares and they made it a truly enjoyable experience. To top it all off, Sam took the jacket, pants, and vest, which I had requested to have altered within three days, and did it within a matter of literal hours in the very same day. Brought a suit to JPs in October to be altered for a wedding. The suit was done in 2 weeks and was altered perfectly! Unlike other tailors I’ve been to, the prices of each alteration were shown to me before leaving. The staff is FRIENDLY, the store is clean and the work was immaculate.

Super sweet staff, they were amazing to work with remembered everyone’s name and even worked with us when one of the guys decided to stiff on being in the wedding. They handled all the sizing even for our 3 out of town groomsmen and even did the alterations quick and without hassle. We got our wedding party suites and the father of the bride suite and I can’t even tell you how many people said how great they looked. We went with a nice royal blue and they looked amazing with the girls plum dresses.

Sam is literally the best tailor I have ever been to - and incredibly affordable! Some of the deals on the suits he sells simply dont make sense; incredible quality at incredibly low prices (way cheaper than say, Macys, but including a shirt, tie AND major alterations). You get the benefit of the price of an off the rack suit with the expertise of a true tailor who can alter it for any body type and any personal preferences on how you like to wear your suit. My girlfriend has also taken him a couple of bridesmaids dresses and, like only a true tailor can do, was able to alter and repurpose them - essentially taking the entire dress apart and putting it back together again in a different way to make it a new dress. For $40! I cannot recommend him enough - whether you have a garment you no longer wear because it doesnt fit or is damaged, or you are looking for a new business or fancy suit - Sammy is your guy.

Stop wasting your time at the big chains such as Mens Wearhouse or Tuxedo Junction. Sam, the owner of JP Tailors, will treat you like his one and only customer, and offer more-than-reasonable prices and expert service.I (27 year old) recently chose to rent tuxedos from JP Tailors, initially because they were the only place I could find that had the style I was looking for (slim Navy tuxedo). Renting attire for a wedding can be worrisome - you never really know what the quality of the tuxes will be, and theres always the possibility of an order being missed, etc.Sam guaranteed that the orders would be perfect and the quality of the tuxedos would be top notch. If there were any issues, he fixed them the same day of pick up (you wont find another rental place that will alter your rental, let alone for free on the same day of pick up) . Everything went perfect, and the tuxedos looked flawless - slim fitting and high quality. Like any rental, the only thing Id recommend is to purchase your own shoes and shirt.Additionally, Sam is an expert tailor. He understands the current trends, and will alter your suits or shirts to look exactly like you want them to at reasonable prices. He also has great deals on suits, shirts and ties.I would highly recommend Sam and JP Tailors to anyone looking for a tux or suit, or interested in renting for their wedding.

I have been a repeat customer to JP Tailors for suits for multiple weddings. I recently went to them for the suits for the groomsmen and myself at my wedding. They helped me pick out what to wear and have alway been professional and have done a great job with the suits.

As someone that never needed a suit for anything, it was a pretty intimidating thing to shop for when I needed one for my wedding. We ended up ordering 5 from JP Tailors between myself and the wedding party and we couldnt be happier. I came in with a photo of what I was looking for and they were able to match the color and style almost perfectly. We were on a very tight timeline and their team had no problem getting everything done in time. It ended up being a very fun experience and we were able to buy all 5 suits for a great price. We all have great, custom tailored suits that we will be able to show off at formal events for years to come.

Sam is the man and asset to this business. Suit pants for a wedding needed to be tailored as the jacket fit well. It was a pretty busy afternoon and this guy who I have never met, tailor my pants right in front of me and sends me on my way so I dont have to come back. I’ve been going to this store front since before Sam (owner & master tailor) even sold his own merchandise.He is the only tailor I’ve ever been to that takes my suggestions, considerations, knows my look and how I like things to fit. Most importantly he is honest and, he never try’s to up-sell me or would ever suggest unnecessary work. He just wants me to be happy with what i have brought to him and to ensure that I leave satisfied.JP’s is an upscale men’s shop with looks and patterns you won’t find anywhere else in WNY. JPs consistently has affordable prices, great sales and first class service I’ve never received anywhere else.Sam and his staff are just great people that take care of me every time I need work done and extend the same warmth and hospitality to my family and friends every time i refer someone. They treat me like their number one customer and the work they do to my suits is second to none.I am moving to the Carolinas in the near future, but i will still bring all my suits, new and old, to Sam and JP tailors on my monthly visits home. Absolutely the best. I needed to get a newly purchased, very poorly fitting suit taylored for my sweethearts funeral service in the afternoon. I travelled about 25 miles on a hunch, thinking I had no chance. He told me I was his first priority. I ended up buying a suit, 3 shirts, 3 ties from him, and returned the poorly fitting suit. He had the new suit perfectly tailored in an hour! I actually cried I was so happy. This man is now my tailor, and I will continue to travel that far to get to him. Even if you have a tailor, you should try him. And you will keep him. I surely will. God bless him.

A friend referred me to Sammy for a brides maid dress that needed a lot of work. I went in and they were super friendly and professional. The shop is beautiful and classy. They were more then willing to do what I needed and talked me out of some unnecessary work that would have cost me more money then its worth, to me that says they care more about the client then the money!! I went in to pick up my dress and they told me right away the lining may not match up once I put it on. It was off by a 1/4 of an inch due to my hips raising the tule. I told them my time constraint due to the wedding and they had it done before my pick up date!! I couldnt say enough wonderful things about this place! I would defiantly recommend JPs
