Our entire home was destroyed by fire back in 2016. We decided to rebuild and stay where we had lived for close to 30 years. We chose a contractor who used Big L for all of our windows and doors. As you can imagine, the choices we had to make were monumental throughout the process of rebuilding our house. Not once have I regretted using Big L. Their post sales service has been outstanding. With as many windows and doors as we had installed, there were a couple of small issues. Its to be expected. What I didnt expect was the way Big L responded when we pointed out the issues. They were prompt, always friendly and courteous whenever they came to the house after we moved back in. Today (3-29-21) Chad (who has become a friend) returned to the house to replace a tilt latch on one of our windows. Not a big deal at all but as usual, Chad was super friendly, happy to help and could not have been better. You can buy windows from lots of places and there are ads everywhere for them. However, as I said, what if you have problems ? How fast will they respond and more importantly, HOW will they respond. Big L simply does it the right way. Make it right. And theyve done it every time. Thank you Big L!!!! (and never let Chad leave :)

Big L carries a superior line of products when compared to big box stores. I recently found out of the door company Provia by reading an online forum, and come to find out Big L offers these doors. I have ordered windows through Big L and am looking forward to ordering a door. Their product lines offer very good warranties which make the purchasing decision that much easier. Big L does offer their own installation, but due to my project timeline and their booking schedule I opted to order the windows and doors and install them myself.If you are looking to install a product yourself it may interest you to shop around for the best price. When doing a supply order through Big L there seems to be considerable markup versus a wholesaler.

Needed a new storm window to install myself for my historic home and was interested in the ProVia brand, which you cant get in the big box stores. I tried to go through B&L Wholesale first, but they wont do business with homeowners for whatever reason. Very frustrating.Ended up going to Big L instead and was very satisfied with the customer service at their showroom. Got to test out the window in person and placed an order with Chris, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Will be going back to Big L for the other windows I need for the rest of the house. Thanks guys!

We had Big L replace ALL the windows on our house. While they were not the cheapest, their quality, craftsmanship and professionalism couldnt have exceeded our expectations more.The windows themselves are beautiful. The finishing work Big L did was even more impressive. Little things like the trim on the inside and outside made a good job great.Lastly, the workers themselves were professional, courteous, and made sure they left a clean work area.All-in-all, love them!

Price to install one 30x80 standard plain door - $3,200. Yowza!

Big L replaced my front door and a large bay window. I liked the sales process. The sales rep presented several options in a variety of price ranges with detailed quotes for each option. Big L gave us a veterans discount which is a big deal on a large project. The installation team was the best. Polite and professional, they did great quality work and they did it in a timely fashion. We had one problem with a window that was not manufactured to the correct size. Big L expedited the replacement, voluntarily compensated us for our trouble and brought additional manpower on installation day to make sure the job was complete in one day. I like this company and will use them again in the future.

I think they should reconsider installing windows for new customers that allow more heat to come through ( the older kind). After all we live in a cold climate. Heavy curtains can help keep the heat in at night. I wonder if the climate ? windows keep more cold in in the winter and more heat in a home in summer. We bought windows several years ago.🐛

Cant even get a return phone call from them...great business practices!!! Im sure they are so busy putting windows in they just forgot to call me back in 2 days. You would think that during this pandemic they might like making money, guess not!!! Looks like I will be taking my money elsewhere. Heard good things too...

High quality windows, great service, high prices. You may get what you pay for.

I had my bow window refreshed by Big L. They used Sunrise or Sunshine replacement panes and finished the window in vinyl. The window looked brand new. The problem is the panes fog up in the summer and frost up in the winter. Ive had two Big L servicemen come in for other work (my house has 90% of its windows installed by Big L), with one saying the panes were defective and would be replaced, and the other said they would come back and test the seals. Neither happened. Spoke with George from Big L and he said the replacement manufacturer said this couldnt happen. I sent him pictures as he had requested I do. Its been over two months with no contact. Im very disappointed with the product and Big L on their follow up. Im stuck with a costly and defective product.

We are pleased with the windows we had installed last year. The guys installing dripped white caulk on our dark grey roof but when we called about it they sent someone out to fix the problem.

Ive had a number of windows and doors replaced by Big L. They get an enthusiastic thumbs up from me. Recently a few of the windows I had replaced by them 10 years ago developed a problem with their low-e coating . Unfortunately, the manufacturer, who had a lifetime warranty, has since gone out of business, but Big Ls service department came out and replaced the problem glass promptly and for a very reasonable cost. In addition, their sales people and office staff are quite prompt in returning phone calls & e-mails. I recommend them highly!

One reads all these glowing 5 star reports that are on purchases last month and one thinks, yes well what about a year or 2 years from now. Well how about 15 years!Yes Big L Windows and Doors came out to our house 15 years after we purchased Marvin windows and sliding glass door and took care of our problems with thermopane and water leaks, etc. There are few companies that will stand by their workmanship and products they sell and install 15 years out from the time of purchase. We can recommend Big L Windows and Doors for the long haul, they are great and we give them 5 Stars!

The best windows and doors

Picture window needed replacement for years, this year we looked into replacing it. went to big l windows and was shocked at the price for a bow window, having saved for several years to pay for a replacement, not wanting to take on more debt. met with sales person J T came to house and decided to go with 4 double hung so the windows can be opened no more fixed picture window. put half of the money down to get windows ordered premium infinity windows, per contract 1 day install, they came and double measured everything. date for install was set for early December the date came and new windows were put in but did not have enough to do the trim? why did they send someone to double check the measurements to not bring enough to finish the job. after they left I was inspecting the new windows, was told when they were installing that a window handle was missing and they would have to come back to finish? I was unable to open top sash no handles on any of the 4 windows and unable to tilt lower sash to clean, drove 32 miles round trip to big l showroom, met my sales person and went to the infinity window display and asked how to tilt lower window he grabbed the window an appeared to just pull it inward I than asked how to open top sash as there are no handles. sales person put both hands on the window glass and pulled the window down??? are you kidding me this is how you open the windows I was told yep thats how you open them I thought he was kidding nope not kidding per sales person that is how you open them, now on to when can they come back to finish the job I told them I was available any time mon,tues,wed and was told that would not work for them the date given was late December are you kidding, contract stated one day I have copy still in my file. my house was not going to be torn apart for the x-mass holiday settled on a much sooner date having to change my work schedule to suit big l, or be living with rolled up carpet coffee table in hallway, couch in dining room, and my house in disarray unable to have anyone over for the holidays! I hove no idea why they had someone come to measure and not bringing enough material? no upper handles why?? oh there is a button on the window lock you need to press to tilt in window not shown to me at showroom after all I did drive all the way out there to be shown how to open it, also no jamb locks I wish I knew about the deficiencys in this product would have paid more for another product that had features I use like handles on the windows, jamb locks my advice to anyone buying premium windows still means you have to check everything. windows look good but not what I was expecting should have been told of the above shortcomings and could have made a better choice ps paid more than 5000.00 expected more.

Come to find out that the original parts on the top of the windows wouldnt allow for the windows to be properly sealed. apparently a known issue as per an insider in the company. that warrented a second visit to replace the original parts which their company is apparently fully aware of. thats fine, easily fixed right (other than me having to take time out of my day to be there for), so a guy came over to replace plastic parts on the top of the windows. however they still seem a bit difficult to seal even with the new plastic parts which is annoying. i have to forcibly push up on the top part of the window and down on the bottom part to get it to have a tight seal. surely others have to had the same issues so i am told. i am no window expert but should it not be easy to have a tight seal ? I paid more for these windows than other competing companies because i thought the quality was superior, but turning out to be a pain in my you know what. not saying the windows arent up to par but they seem not so user friendly and if the windows have issues sealing straight out of the box and the company knows this why not #1 have those original plastic parts replaced at the original installation but also have the windows user ready and easily sealed with the flick of a lever?

I had problem with my 3 of my windows after 5 years, Big L came out and ordered new windows and replaced them, no charge no hassle !

I had windows installed 4 years ago and am STILL waiting for someone to come repair one that wont close all the way. I called, my wife called numerous times and nothing. Now I need a new sliding door put in but am afraid to contact them in fear if something goes wrong it will never be responded to. One shouldnt have to wait over 4 years and yes i made 17 phone calls leaving messages, and NEVER a response.
