Very knowledgable, helpful and friendly staff! They also have a ton of inventory in stock for anyone in your family. I highly recommend stopping there to buy/rent your ski gear instead of waiting in the long lines typical of resorts. And a bonus to find out that they had a skiing simulator for my daughter to get a feel for her first time wearing skis. Be sure to say hi to Charlie Brown, the shops sweet pooch!

Dodge City is the best! Everyone there is very friendly and extremely helpful. They have outfitted us for several ski and snowboard trips, and they have always gone above and beyond to ensure we have a great time! I can not recommend them enough!

Dodge City Ski Shop is one of Chattanoogas best kept secrets. Steve, Dale and Chuck are as good as they come. Never again will I waste precious lift ticket time waiting in lines to rent equipment on the slopes. I went in looking for boots for an upcoming school trip. Not only did they set me up with a great pair of boots, but they were willing to stay open late to fit the entire group with rentals at the last minute. The process was seamless, the service like family and the prices unbeatable.

A unique little ski shop with top of the line outerwear gear. Its a little messy but just ask for help and the owners as they are very friendly and know their stuff when it comes to adventures in the snow.

This place is great. My wife and I needed ski equipment and the owners and staff could not have been more helpful. They were full of great tips and we’re VERY friendly. Much better than what you would experience at any of the chain stores.

Place was closed for the summer and some of the clothes I looked at were moldy..... staff wasn’t helpful.

I had locked my keys in the car and the clerk inside the store did everything she could to assist me with getting them out including going through the fireplace tools to use to get in the vehicle unlocked. Went here before heading to Gatlinburg for my 1st snowboard trip. The owner was so sweet and super helpful. He made sure I had everything I needed and then some, and offered me a lot of great tips. They have a ton of inventory, everything youll need for a fun and safe experience. Highly recommend you swing in often for good deals.

The folks at Dodge City are awesome. We went in on Christmas Eve to get some used ski boots for my step-son. They gave him great service in helping to properly fit him, and a great deal on boots. They called that evening to say Santa would be dropping by with a present. They came late in the evening with a beautiful pair of skis. They said because my stepson had been polite and well mannered they thought he was deserving of something special. They were delivering presents to a number of houses on Christmas Eve. What an incredible random act of kindness.

Went to shop for bindings but at 11:30am on an Friday the door was locked. Probably best to find another seller but if you go here it would be wise to call first.

Our Church youth group goes on a ski trip every year. Dodge City has also been so helpful in outfitting our group with Skis and helmets. They have great prices and their staff is so friendly and easy to work with. Our trips wouldnt nearly as good without the help of Dodge City.

Updated my ski boots and the pair I got here have been great. Priced as expected but the real value came in the service, sending me on a three week road trip with a set of rentals in a model I’m considering.

The owner of this place is widely regarded as a kook, but every time Ive gone hes been nothing but nice! I would recommend this place to anyone that is interested in skiing or snowboarding. Ive purchased new and used gear from them and it has all been top quality.

As a member of the NSP, I know my ski equipment. I got a fantastic deal on a nice set of Rossi’s with Look bindings. Steve and Dale really run a great shop.

Took skis in to get sharpened, waxed and tuned. Owner was able to immediately point out what needed to be done and the skis came out great. The store is a little untidy, but I also think they dont fully staff it and incorporate it in to their other full time business next door which is understandable since I doubt there is a steady stream of customer traffic for a ski shop in Chattanooga and it beats driving up to Knoxville. The only hiccup was communication, I had to call my self to confirm they were done which was a little worrying, but end product was exactly what I needed and I will be back again.

Extremely Friendly people with an enormous selection of ski and boarding equipment. A real diamond in the rough for snow sportsmen in the area. The also give lessons for beginners.

I dont know how the heck this place is still open with the owner running this place. One of the stupidest business strategy I have ever heard. Who can you demand $30 to try on boots? Youll lose business!We came in wanting to buy a pair of size 15 boot, but once we heard of this outrageous demand, we left. They lost our business! We had been a costumer in the past but we will never step foot in this business again!Dont plan on this business being open for long with a person so stupid running his business!

Brings Customer Service...to a new level!@

I had not been skiing for about 17 years and the plastic heel supports had basically became so brittle that it cracked into smaller pieces on my Nordica 955 boots. I decided to get some more boots and Steve had some that were so warm and comfortable that I could easily wear them around the house. When I last skied boots were not suppose to be comfortable. They were designed for support only. Steve set me up with the Fischer vacuum fit boots. It takes about an hour and a half to properly vacuum mold them to you foot but boy is it worth it. Riding up the lift each time I couldnt believe how well they fit and how warm they were. I know that from now on boot issues are a thing of the past. No more of the turn dials for adjustment only 4 simple to use latches to use. I absolutely love them. The boots are heated up for a period and then special pads are put on your feet for the vacuum part that contours the insert to your foot. You allow it 24 hours to cure and if for some reason the insert gets a little off you can do the process over again. I just cant believe that they are so incredibly comfortable. I dont think that I have ever been into a store where the owner and the staff were more helpful, courteous and so friendly in my life. He has the device where you can practice your skiing and tons of inventory. I really liked my experience with Steve and Dale which made for a great ski trip. The prices were far better than reasonable. I whole heartedly think that this is one of the best businesses that I have ever dealt with and will definitely be going back for any other equipment that I might need. I will tell Steve to give you my number if you are in the store to verify how much I liked my experience. I characterize my experience as unbelievable and incredible. Thanks Steve and Dale. Gene

Manager is quite paranoid but can point out a great deal& help you save some money. Keep your hands visible. Considering its located at an INTERSECTION the owner needs to lighten up on ppl who happen to choose that lot to check their gps. If you dont park in a parking place he will come out & just stare at you. If you dont believe me then try it!! He thinks EVERYBODY is robbing him :(

After retiring from the military I moved to the Denver area to be close to my daughter and my grandchildren. I took a part-time job working for a ski,board and bike shop. My daughter and my grandchildren like to bike and snow ski...so this was a great way to keep busy and at the same time get discounts on our equipment. I, also, learned a lot about equipment and gear. Then, my son-in-law takes a job with the TVA and we all to Chattanooga!!!So, now Im hanging out at the Dodge City Ski Shop. I have seen him spend several hours with customers making sure that their ski boot fits perfectly. This past Wednesday--I asked what was the longest that he ever took to properly fit a boot. His answer: Over five hours!!! I asked how much extra did he charge. His answer: Nothing I did what it took to get the boots to fit the customer correctly.One of the first things I noticed about his shop.....he had the same brand (WINTERSTEIGER) equipment to tune, wax, and edge skis and snowboards. But the equipment that he had was much more advanced that what we had in Denver. He said only a handful of shops (east of the Mississippi) had the Wintersteiger brand equipment. It is the best of the best---and the most expensive too!! But....It tunes boards and skis the very best--like the day it was shipped from the factory.Being rude or being a smart ass to a customer---I havent seen it happen. His customers love him to death. He goes well out of his way to please them and to make sure their ski trip is the best ever. He has my vote as one of the best ski shops in the country!!
