Took a class yesterday taught by Andrea Mitchell. It was challenging but Andrea made it stress free and fun. She is an awesome teacher with the patience of a saint!! Be sure if you are wanting to learn new stuff, this is the place and the teacher!!! All the staff, Josh, Danielle, Andrew, Meagan, and Andrea are some of the most genuine people you will ever meet!!!

Very knowledgeable about all the machines they sell. A mechanic is on shift M-F to fix anything that breaks. Classes are provided for all levels of sewers. They have a wide array of machines from around $100 and up. Something for all ages. The manager is very good at working with his customers. Best sewing machine place Ive ever seen.

I got my machine here, ordered it online and picked it up in store. Super nice folks! They were really helpful and informative, didnt seem like they were just trying to sell me on something I didnt need. Their fabric is AMAZING! Some of the most beautiful fabric Ive seen, same price or better than Hobby Lobby or Jo-Annes, but much better quality. They have entire collections of fabric, I could go on... Shop local and check this place out!

The cheese dip was exquisite, the water was refreshing, and the steak was from Heaven. Combine that with this girl across the table from me who was looking even better than the steak, I was wheezing with enjoyment. Just when I thought my night was the best it could ever get, my eye drifted to THE Larry Scott.

Andrew is awesome!! I was looking for a refurbished machine to save a bit of money; sewing is just a hobby for me. He showed me the two models he had. Clearly explained the pros and differences between each model. Demonstrated how to thread the machine, change the settings, and sewed a sample. He was really knowledgeable and passionate about it. Gave me a quick tour around the store to show me what accessories and materials they offer. No pressure at all to purchase or upgrade anything. Highly reccomend!!

I have purchased two machines - took my first class this past weekend. Carol was my instructor and she was awesome. My experience with this company has been great during each visit as well as each phone call. Also want to shout out for a gentlemen named Andrew as he has been the one to answer most of my questions. No matter how many questions I have asked (too many I am sure) he has been very knowledgeable and pleasant.

When my husband and I entered the store, we were greeted by a very pleasant lady, her name was Brook. She made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. She was kind and her eyes were filled with joy. We could tell that she loves what she does. Needless to say. We walked out with a machine that I fell in love with. And it was within my budget of what I wanted to spend. It was a very enjoyable visit. Everyone there was pleasant and willing to help. She even told me that in two weeks, to come see her with anything I was confused with or was having trouble learning about my new machine and she would help me understand. Now that is service. I highly recommend this place.

WOW is my first impression!!! This family owned business goes out of their way to help you get into the machine you are wanting. The most pleasant and caring family in business I have ever met. Their top notch customer service and desire to help you is beyond any business that I have every worked with. I just want to share my experience and make sure these wonderful people know how kind and what a difference they make! I am such a novice that I accidentally purchased fabric in the wrong length! Oh my how embarrassing! So I purchased the remainder of the fabric needed and I had no where to turn to have it sewn together. As I walked into this location I was welcomed by a warm smile and a friendly greeting! Looking like a lost puppy the owner kindly took my fabric and sewed it together on the spot for me! Kindness and customer service like that just isn’t found anymore! So anyone who needs any products for their machines or to upgrade their equipment, please give this kind and amazing woman your business. She did such a nice favor for me it would be unjust to not leave a review and to not encourage others to not shop here! She really changed my whole day one stitch at a time! Thank you so much for what you did! You could have easily turned your nose up and told me to go to a seamstress. I will make sure everyone knows the kindness you showed me today!

Very friendly and super helpful. Even though we didnt purchase the machine there, they spent over 30 minutes helping us and they found the replacement part. And they didnt laugh at my questions! Five Star Service!

What can I say? We love this place. The service is great, we love their products, and the pricing. This is our go to place for items that we run out of. Theres an excellent homey feel when you walk in. Its like going hone.

I have been sewing masks for COVID-19 protection for my community and my machine broke on Friday afternoon... I called Danielle at about 5:20pm & she and her husband had a new machine on its way to me that same hour! If UPS has not bungled the delivery I would be sewing on Saturday afternoon! That is what I call service! As it stands, I should get back to work on Monday!

I went to Chattanooga sewing today to get some thread. They only had packages of the thread I needed. I was going to buy 6 spools of thread for one that I needed. The owner Kyra, got on the phone and found the thread that I needed. This place has the best customer service. I have never felt like I mattered at other stores but here I do. Go check them out it is totally worth it. They have a huge supply of machines, fabrics and notions. Best customer service in the surrounding areas !!!

I had purchased before from the past owners but had a poor experience which caused me to use another dealer. Brother requested I give the new owners a try. After a phone call, I decided to bring my multi needle machine in for service. I was greeted with smiles and assured I would be taken care of. Less than 24 hours later, I received a call stating my machine was fixed and ready for pick up. When I arrived to pick-up, the owner, Josh, was great and ready to help where needed. The store has been revamped and new stuff is coming in daily. I will return! Thank you!

I have been out here several times. I love the people that work there. I enjoy just going and talking to them. I have never been pressured to buy anything. I wanted the Dream Machine but could not fit it into my budget, I was shown another machine that was very similar to it, and I love it. If you have an issue they are willing to help. They offer classes for new machine owners to take to understand there machine.

Everyone I delt with here was amazing. Carol went out of her way to make my entire experience easy and quick. Hi. I am the new owner along with my son Joshua Flinn. We hope you have a wonderful experience when you visit our shop. We have made a lot of changes and are continually making changes. We had a great experience shopping for a new sewing machine here. Andrew Daniel was such a big help from the time we walked in the door and questioned him about all the machines until he was loading my new machine in the car. No pressure, great experience.

The new owners have really improved the look and atmosphere of the shop. There’s a wide variety of classes and fabric available. Kyra’s enthusiasm about sewing and embroidery is so contagious. Love taking classes from these talented ladies. Just bought another Brother sewing machine. Love it!

I have been in 3 times in the past few months and have had a great experience each visit. They have been extremely helpful and helped me get my machine working again. I also love that I can not only get what I need for my machine but also vinyl! So glad to have found this store!

I only visited the store a few times before the new owners took over in January 2018, and those experiences weren’t remarkable. Since January, I have visited several times and even participated in a class. The new owners are awesome! I had so much fun at the class and wish I had time to take more! They have increased inventory and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I love how they keep us updated on Facebook as well.

After this week, I will be ordering vinyl off line. I called to check store hours, and instead of getting the hours, I was asked what I needed. No big deal. I was then told that if I came in the store I had to pay with card. I understand that things are stressful, so I let it go. Yesterday, I was told I was not at all allowed in the store, rudely, because there were children in there. Anyways, I called and told them what I needed, told the lady it would be after I got off work. When I get off work, I called 4 times, got here, and no one was there. Why have hours if yall dont stick to them. Why not tell the hours. I underatamdbits a family business, but wow. Thats all I can say. It just seems to be one problem after another when purchasing vinyl from yall. It wont happen any more.

Bought an embroidery machine last year. Went in today to buy some thread and the manager Carol was waiting on a customer so I started looking at the thread. It took her a long time to finish up but I waited for her. When she was almost done 3 women walked in and she immediately said “Can I help you?”. I looked at her and said Really? I needed help and you didn’t offer to help me. I started walking out and all she did was make a face and roll her eyes. I will never give them any of my business again.

These wonderful people greet me with a smile every time I arrive. Ive had my machine for 13 years now and when i bring it to get repaired its finished within three days! I highly reccomend Chattanooga Sewing if you are looking to start a new hobby or business. So so happy that I did!

I purchased an Innovis 2800D and I LOVE IT! I have taken a quilting class there as well and completed my very first quilt! One of the young ladies that work there, a pretty blonde, I think her name is Emily, is super friendly!

Dont see my review here so am reposting. My BROTHER DUETTA 4500 was bough in 2007 new from Chattanooga sewing machine. The machine malfunctioned 4 times in the first year and instead of telling me that Brother would replace it if it malfunctioned with same problem in a year, they kept trying to convince me it was my fault that i was just new and didnt know what i was doiing. I went through so many BOBBIN CASES withing the 5 years following it has been ridiculous. It would just start sewing area while in the middle of a design it would reset the design to the original position and ruin the design. And the needle would slam into the bobbin case and ruin it. After taking it to another dealer 3.5 hours away they fixed tension and it malfuctioned again and they replaced the boards for free because the machine could not be fixed any other way! It has worked properly since then . I drive three hours away to get it serviced. and they do a great job and dont make me feel like i am an idiot!

My first mistake was not reading the reviews before taking my serger in for repair. I brought a Janome serger in that needed general servicing and a timing adjustment. I make my living with my sewing machines. The young person who waited on me said that my machine was one of the ones that was not serviced in store but would be sent to a repair in Atlanta, the cost was usually $120-$160, and it would take 3 weeks and that they would call me. There policy is that you leave the machine and a deposit of $60 towards the repair.After 3 weeks I stopped in and was told it wasnt back yet, probably next Friday. I came back Friday, still no serger. It wasnt until my 3rd trip in that this was explained to me:They wait for a certain number of machines to come in before the Atlanta repair will come pick them up, (so it didnt go out immediately like I thought), and then after they are all repaired they bring them back.Based on what I was originally told, I told my customers finish times for their work. This was bad for my business.4 weeks and 5 days later, when my machine is finally back they call me twice in an hour to come pick it up. My total bill is $174.80, I ask for a discount to lessen my own delays. NO.

I had the worst experience here. Walked in needing some help with my New $8000.00 machine. The woman refused to help me, answer any questions, and would not even sell me a spool of thread, because I did not buy the machine there. I asked if I could take a paid class to learn and she said no as she was pushing me out the door. Worst store in the South.

Im sure that they carry a wide range of items but the two ladies who helped me were off-putting. The younger lady was charming and helpful but did not have a lot of knowledge about parts and the older lady was extremely condescending and rude. Ill stick to Atlanta or eBay
