I am so grateful I researched and found Visionworks. The doctor was so through explained everything to me that he was doing in layman’s terms so I could understand. Everyone there are so pleasant. I was ask If I needed help and she went out of her way to find me exactly the frames I was wanting!! I highly recommend Visionworks at Hamilton Place Mall they are awesome

Everyone at this location was so nice and accommodating. I was able to make my appointment for the day after I called. Upon arriving, the store was nice and clean. They cleaned and sanitized the machines I would be using right in front of me. The try on glasses were also sanitized between each use. When I was ready to make my purchase, Jennifer was extremely helpful. She took care of me like I was a member of her own family. I will continue to use this location for all of my future vision needs. Thank you all SO much.
Been a few years having used visions works for some years now. I was surprised to see alot of new faces and some ones I knew previously, but the quality of service was top tier and my exam/prescription was completed in no time at all. Thanks team.
Recently got new glasses, and for some reason one of the welds popped loose a few months afterwards. Took the glasses in and even though it was just outside the 100 day warrenty, Jessica was extremely helpful and replaced my broken frame with a brand new one right off the display wall at no charge! It took less than 10 minutes and she was very pleasant and helpful. I have been coming here for several years for my eye exams and have always had a good experience. Highly recommend.
Communication skills need work. Had to get prescription changed three times. Then prescribed contact lenses that cost nearly $400 a year thats crazy! Refused to prescribe another contact thats less expensive. Waste of money!
Very courteous and very little waiting time. Doctor seemed very knowledgeable. As I have not received my glasses yet, we shall see how that goes. Quite a contrast to repeated horrible experiences at Professional Eye Associates in Dalton, GA.
I scheduled an appointment Friday for my eye exam & to get my new pair of glasses. I would recommend this place to anyone due to the excellent customer service they gave me. The staff I cant remember her name but she was great. She really helped me get a great deal with what i was working with, and actually helped get me way under my planned budget. 10/10

I had an appointment made for all three of my children. The lady that called came across very rude from the beginning. I had asked her to check my insurance and then the attitude started like it was a bother to ask her to do that. I then told her to just go ahead and cancel the appointments because of her rudeness. When I tried to explain why I felt the way I did, she hung up on me. Not impressed at all with the location, if this is how they treat a new patient I hate to see how they treat you in person as a patient.
My 3 year old had to start wearing glasses in October 2020, went to vision works and paid close to $300 after my insurance coverage for 2 pairs. Since I have had two horrible incidences with this location. In January I decided to try a new type of frame with a strap attached to help them stay on for her, these were not an option when we went in store (or so I thought, you have to ask specifically for them and they are locked up out of sight without even any pictures to show they are an option), I had found them at a decent price online and went into the store to get her pupillary distance measurements to order them. I had been trying to call multiple times a day for 4 days and never got a person on the phone after I was on hold for close to an hour each time the line would just disconnect. Now my daughter has lost the pair from online and a the others I bought from vision works both have been broken. I call to check on warranty and was told if I did not purchase a protection plan that they could do nothing as its after their 100 day guarantee. I have never purchased glasses in my life,my small child needs these and a protection plan was never mentioned when buying so now I have to fork out more money and I can guarantee you it will not go to vision works!!!!
I would leave no stars if I could.From the time I walked in the door I was ignored. The girl who finally did end up helping me, I wish I could remember her name, was RUDE the entire time I was in the store. She even went so far as to FORGET who I was and that I was needing to be helped. I wish I would’ve just walked out and taken my money elsewhere.She also got up in the middle of helping me once she realized who i was and that she had already spoken and helped me...... no warning no be right back, to go help another customer. I would never return to this location. Ever. I will be using my second glasses allotment ELSEWHERE.The doctor wasn’t much better. Playing on his phone while I’m trying to learn how to put contacts in? Yeah. A joke.God forbid you actually need anybody to answer the phone either.
Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, will definitely be returning. They made sure everything was clean and safe due to Covid.

Its been three weeks since Ive ordered contacts from them and have yet to receive anything. Not to mention the numerous calls and hours of waiting time on the phone just to order them. This place used to be run well. I loved it!My daughters brand new frames also bent quickly after buying. The one star is for the optometrist. Hes very good and professional.

Horrible customer service and my time wasted! Went in for an eye exam, they could not locate my information as they claim and needed to receive a fax from the provider. I waited approximately 25 minutes!!!!! No help! Nothing!!!!I attempted to show them my benefits on my phone but to no avail. My time wasted as this couldve been resolved MUCH prior to my original scheduled time! Be prepared! Confirm insurance information BEFORE your customers appointment!!!! We should not have to wait XX minutes for a fax that could have been resolved PRIOR to!!! I will NOT be back!!!!!!!!!
Very nice staff other than Jessica (the Manager) leaving the staff to go to lunch. They had several people waiting and she announced she was going to lunch. Jawaad was very helpful.
Abysmally bad experience.From start to finish.The only decent part of the experience was the girl who did my pre-exam. She was nice and helpful.Everything else was terrible. No help when I walked in. I had to get into someones way to get help. I would still be standing there like a ghost if I hasnt gotten in someones way that worked there. And I had an appointment.The doc was the very worst part of it. Dr. Al-Sowaidi. It was obvious he wanted to be in and out of the exam as quickly as humanly possible. He spoke incredibly fast and rushed through the entire experience. He placed contacts into my eyes and rushed me into a different area where I sat until I asked someone if they were supposed to be helping me with learning how to take out and put in and care for my contacts.(Ive never had glasses or contacts, so all of this was new to me.)This girl sat down and sort of tried to explain things about this. Half-heartedly. I could tell this wasnt really working well, and these people werent really engaged with their jobs. When I finally got them out, I said Id go home and try to learn how to put them in and out and get used to them.So she left. I stood up and didnt really know where to go from there. Another guy said I should go to one of the desks and someone would be there shortly to take my money for the exam.Go anywhere else to get your exam and eye needs.Anywhere.If Dollar Tree opens an optometrist office, go there.If your dogs vet branches into optometry, go there.It was that bad of an experience.To sum it up, I felt like a number, not a patient. And the staff seemed to be running around doing all the different jobs instead of doing their own job. Maybe thats normal for that office. Or maybe they were very shorthanded. Either way, it was chaotic and the employees were all speeding around like they were overwhelmed.Again, the worst of it was the doctor himself.The one star I am rating this experience isnt sufficient to express how bad this was.They wasted my time. I am very very frustrated.
I was there about six months ago and did not write a review on this site but another site I thought they were all wonderful especially the doctor because I was really seeing him for a second opinion however did not tell him and he found my problem and he let me get through my process and then talk to me s a consultation and told me to call him directly when or if my eyes get worse. As a person who does not like to go to any clinician I felt very comfortable at Visionwork

My husband and I both went here recently and had an amazing experience. I recommend going here and when you do ask for Jawaad. He was extremely helpful, patient, and informative. He also saved us alot of money and got us benefits with our insurance carrier that we werent aware that we had. He made it possible for my husband and I both to get a pair of glasses as well as sunglasses apiece with all the best lense options. Our doctor was just as excellent. Dr. Al-Sowaidi was very helpful and explained everything so well. He even remembered me when I returned with my husband because our appointments were a week apart. We switched from our previous doctor and we will be doing business here for a very long time and referring anyone that we can. Thank you Jawaad and the Visionworks team.

I cannot say enough great things about our experience. Dr. Al-Sowaidi was very kind and patient with my youngest (who was not very happy to sit still) and he was more thorough than any of the opticians that my children and I have seen in the past. Ms. Rachael in the eyeglasses area was also very patient with all of my children and very accomodating and going above and beyond when we realized that my HSA card was expired. They were also not pushy in sales and I appreciate that very much!! I will be returning here next year!

Great experience! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I loved how fast and efficient they where. Very flexible on appointment times and they have a great variety of frames to choose from and prices to fit any budget.
So I go into the store on 11/7 to order contacts. The guy at the desk was extremely nonchalant and had no customer service. I noticed it but didn’t take offense because everyone has a bad day. He places my orders for contacts and asks do I want to ship them to my house or to the store. I asked him to ship to the store because my apartment complex is fairly new and don’t show up on GPS and causes delivery sorting issues and delays.. He told me the contacts will be here within 5-7 days but their “promise” is 10 days. 11 days come and I call them and ask the status and was told that it will be another week before they ship. A week goes by and I get a notification via UPS which states they’re being delivered to my house instead of the store as I asked. As expected there was a sorting issue but the package finally gets to my house a week AFTER the “promised” time frame. I open up the package and it is the incorrect brand of contacts which I paid for a 3 month supply. I call the store and the store manager isn’t in until Monday and their customer service is non existent on weekends. I want to stress that the Eye doctors here are excellent, but I recommend taking your prescription and buying elsewhere!

Only giving 1 star to place a rating!! This is the most HORRIFIC establishment I have EVER stepped foot in... Went in for exam after providing needed information before I came for my appointment only to be told that they were out of network! The receptionist didnt acknowledge us and when she was asked a question she rolled her eyes so hard and couldnt be bothered. Then the girl yes girl that tried to explain my insurance benefits or lack there of was pretty much yelling it so EVERYONE in the vicinity could hear my PERSONAL information. This place is a JOKE!
Phone rang for 10 minutes with no answer. I’m not sure if they either are closed or someone is on their 3 pm lunch break but I won’t be calling back to find out.
All I can say is WOW! First off I was given a late appointment being they would be closing 45 min into the appointment. I come out after my exam with my eyes dialed, thinking they would help me get some new glasses because the doctor told me my prescription changed. Why could I expect any help due to they are closed and all the office wanted to do was go home!! What customer service!! They took my money for the exam ushering me out the door telling me they are now closed have a good day! I was given this appointment by them!! So I contacted corporate letting them know of all the problems, giving them a chance to make it right. Well all they did was turn me over to the manager of that same store that gives the poor customer because of the poor management! She called and left a message telling me she was sorry and I could call her back. Well I did only to be hung up on. She had my number on caller ID and must not want to talk to me. All I can say is WOW!! I have 2 kids and my wife that will be spending our money somewhere else! My wife is in constant need of contact lenses. I do not recommend this place! Very poor customer service!! Be warned!
The optometrist and team were great! I have been going to them for years and I have never been disappointed. They are always prompt and give me the right advice when it comes to contacts and glasses.
I’ve been going here for approx. 4 years due to the flexibility in scheduling on weekends. Over the past year I have noticed a huge improvement in the staff and amount of men’s ware glasses. In the past, each DR. Hasn’t stayed very long but I am very pleased to say that I’ve been able to see the same dr 2 years in a row and she does an amazing job. Couldn’t be happier with my experiences

Took a little while for the staff to come off as friendly. But when they did warm up it was a pleasant experience. However, if you don’t have a1 insurance you’re gonna be looking at 179.99 for a decent pair/brand of glasses. The 69.99 selection were horrible. Loved the doctor. Very patient. Informative, and dedicated. They also have a great deal going on: two pair of glasses for 69.99. Even if they’re are less that appealing to the eye. You can’t really beat that deal.

I really liked the optometrist and the staff; they did a great job. There was some confusion with the POS system, but we got there in the end.
I rated it two stars because when I ordered my glasses the people working were very nice and helpful and I do like my glasses. There was an older man with a beard and glasses working at Vision Works who was very rude who I saw today. Maybe a manager because he was being rude to the other employees there. Not a business I respect because of that and I will not be back. My suggestion would be to train that man on customer service or hire employees that would like to work there.
I decided to go to VisionWorks today because I ran out of my left contact lenses and my old script from a previous doctor had expired. I was immediately greeted when I walked in even though they were extremely busy. I was taken to the front desk ladies and they were very nice about getting me a walk in eye exam. They informed me of the prices I would have today which I found helpful. I had a 15-20 minutes wait to see an eye doctor which I was pleasantly surprised. The doctor Mrs. Strong was super nice and informative. She did a more thorough exam than my previous doctor I’ve been going to 7+ years! She made sure I was getting the correct lenses and was very gently in doing the exams! Once the exam was over I was passed to a wonderful employee who helped me find the exact frames I want while giving me the coupon options they currently had. She gave me the totals with all the options I had and I did not feel pressured During any time. I am so glad I stopped by and couldn’t stop talking about my wonderful experience to my family! I will be back for future exams! Thank you so much!

I went to the Hixson store and bought glasses....I loved the glasses and the display was the only pair they had.....I bought them however, it’s been less than a year and they fell apart!!! I didn’t break them the arm just fell off .....my insurance only lets you buy one pair a year.......I’m very frustrated 🥴
My experience was very good. Everyone was professional and treated me respectfully. I would especially like to mention James, the Optician who fitted my glasses. He was incredibly kind, courteous, and so very helpful. I really appreciated the customer service he provided.
This was the best eye exam Ive ever had. The optometrist took his time to explain everything to me before he did it, what he was doing and why. No one has ever done that and I was so grateful. Im usually nervous about eye exams but this one put my nerves at ease. I cant say enough good things about my experience here.

I’ve worn glasses and contacts all my life and this was the first time that a place has helped me get a really good deal. I got 130$ rebate on my contacts AND was able to use my insurance and that even allowed me to get a deal on my glasses! My eye appt and purchase was 10/15/19. Imy glasses constantly have lossened and the store has been closed. Then with 650.40 my right lens coating started flaking off. I know I asked for the warranty. It was 30.oo so after that cost, who would not do that. Well today when my husband took them for me the informed him that there was no warranty and she was rude. Also he asked how much it would cost to repair 1 lens for 320.00 for 1 w/no discount or 450.00 for 2 lens with 25% discount. WHAT KIND OF STORE LETS YOU LEAVE THE STORE WHEN PAYING 650.00 JUST FOR 1 PAIR of GLASSES. (DIDNT INCLUDE MY EYE EXAM).VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER AND NEVER GOING BACK! Rhonda

I made an appointment at this location for an eye exam and to get a second pair of glasses so I can have one as a backup pair. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, with a good selection of frame styles. Theyre partnered with Davis Vision, which is good for anyone using that insurance provider - in my case, I had a larger frame budget than expected.
Was given contact prescription of different strength than trial pair. Took 2 tries to get glasses correct certain employees are rude and uncaring .

The optometrist was great, however, the sales team was horrible. The two that were there were rude and extremely short. We were there for two hours and didnt even purchase the glasses. We didnt want to deal with the sales team more than we had to so we will be going elsewhere to purchase glasses.

My husband got his glasses there and they really didnt care that he couldnt see out of them. After he complained they finally had to come back and then they dilated his eyes. Really, was what I was thinking. Their still not right. He cant see out of them and they say their fine. Back to wearing his old glasses. Go some where else.
Had an appointment at 3 PM during a week day. After the inevitable half-hour debate on whether or not I had insurance from the previous time I was there a couple years ago even though nothing had changed we still had to debate and ask for blood hair and urine sample. Then the staff was unable to determine if the insurance would work or not yet again. 45 minutes after my appointment time they called me back for pre-examination which consisted of two machines one of which is a Glock coma machine testing the pressure behind your own in which case the staff member poked me in the eye with said machine not wants but twice. An hour and 15 minutes after my appointment time I walk to the front and asked how much longer could it possibly be please bear in mind I exams only take 20 to 30 minutes on average. I was informed there were still two more people ahead of me but I should be able to go to a room shortly as soon as one more person was done. I am uncertain if it was an overcrowded problem a mathematical problems or confusion by that circular thing called a Clock but somehow we managed to book far too many appointments for the scheduled time. My advice to the vision works in Hamilton place mall Chattanooga would be to buy a scheduler book or quite possibly study that big round thing called Clock. This review is written in very simple terms so that hopefully division works will understand exactly what is meant by the review in order to avoid one star reviews see your customers in a timely fashion and do not overbook. I understand that everyone likes money but we don’t have to come across as greedy in order to treat customers and patients it is still a healthcare profession therefore a little bit of professionalism would go along way.

Horrible experience!!! I made an appointment online for 3:15 the same day. Got there 10 min early and was told people who CALL and make appointments are taken first. Online appointments arent really appointments they are treated as walk ins. My wait time I was told would be approximately 1&1/2hours. I drove 35 min. to get there! She said she was sorry but that was policy. I said just cancel it and she said fine no problem. Very rude and disrespectful at Hamilton Place in Chattanooga Tn.

I have been bringing my daughters to the Hamilton Place location for the last 3 years. The staff and doctors are always friendly and helpful. My last visit was totally different. The staff just looked at us didn’t ask to assist us until we stood at the front counter for about 2 minutes. I usually would not complain, but since my daughters and I were the only patients in site I find this very unprofessional and unacceptable. Might look for another place of business next time!
This is my 3rd visit to this store. First visit went fine. Second visit for my son we waited for 30 minutes after our appointment time. Then waited while the staff tried to work their computer system, left and came back. Third visit appointment time 330 arrival 320. So far the wait time has been one hour. Staff and manager blame walk ins and md. Last visit to this location. Absolutely ridiculous to have a appointment and then hour plus wait time.
Cant speak to the optometrist but the staff helped with a new nose pad on some glasses, and I didnt even buy from them. Great customer service!
My family gets all of their glasses and frames here. The service and the pricing is outstanding. Ask for Mary if you want the very best in service...besides being a consummate professional she also has a great artistic and fashion sense and can definitely help you out if your having trouble deciding on a style.

The doctor and the optometrist were great, but, the front desk staff were very slow and rude. It took me about 2 hours to finish, most of it was waiting. I only stayed with the doctor and the optometrist for less than 20 minutes.Its a total waste of time. I didnt purchase any glasses and wouldnt even take one for free, I just wanted to leave.
I called and Maria took my health insurance and immediately told me my exam fees were covered as well as at least 6 months worth of contacts. When I arrived Maria had gone home for the day but the front desk girls confirmed it. They were so incredibly nice and I was really pleased with the visit.They were even able to talk me into buying glasses since my contacts were covered. The price seemed high but I wasnt sure.Two days later I got a call that my glasses and contacts were available for pickup. When I went to pick them up only my glasses were there and then I was told that theres no way they had ordered my contacts because they did not even accept my insurance. My last visit was completely out of pocket and thats why I paid so much.They were sorry, and gave me one pair of contacts but said they couldnt do anything for me and that I should go to LensCrafters because my insurance was fully covered there.I was able to get it all worked out about a week later and was issued a refund. They had filed me under the wrong insurance.So while I give them 5 stars for customer service, they get 3 stars for the stress and confusion that followed after.
I’m sure the place is fine but we are sitting here now and still haven’t been seen! It’s 6:15 and our appointment was at 5. There are way too many people here that need to be seen. Something went wrong the schedule somewhere.
The Doctors are very professional. The staff on the other hand is a horse of a different color. They walk by like they dont see you. They talk amongst themselves. And I ignored it at our last visit but apparently it is a trend. This recent visit, didnt not prove anything different. Staff needs work....
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Prompt courteous, Ron was awesome. Doctor was very attentive, answered all my questions. Didnt feel pressured to purchase anything I didnt want. Gave me all options available with my insurance!

I wish I could give no stars. The new staff is extremely rude. Dr. Mackenzie Cox is nasty and has a nasty demenor. Also the man at the front desk is rude and very unprofessional. They lose records and examines. Do NOT visit this place go to the Hixon location.
I really liked the doctors
Not a good experience. The receptionist had no record of my last visit and the doctor had no idea how to compare my last year’s visit to this year visit. The receptionist was able to see that I purchased glass last year but no med. records. While waiting I was picking out new frames all the glass I was trying on were filthy and I was afraid to try them on. No sanitizing wipes. during the pre-examination, the technician did not clean any of the machines before or after the exam. I could not wait to get out of the store to wash my face and hands. Nasty… The store was short staffed with 1 doctor and two employees. The staff was rushing through the process. Not a good experience.
