This is my first time getting eye exams. I love it here so much. The staff are so neat and nice. They let me try on many glasses as I would like. Also, their service as the best. I got two glasses the next day after my exam. I’m so satisfied.

When my daughter had to get glasses in the middle of her softball season I was worried we wouldnt find glasses that she could play ball in (durable because she is a catcher) and that they would not be ready soon. Katie was very helpful and nice! She helped her find the perfect pair to play ball in and a pair she can wear everyday. Jason was a lifesaver and was able to have them ready the next day. Great customer service! Emily gave a great warm welcome and assisted me with getting glasses. Monica was such a great friendly worker who was very charismatic and helpful. She knows her inventory very well, as soon as I described a pair of glasses she knew directly off the bet what I wanted and needed. 2 things - first, the in-house OD (Dr. Denis McDonald) and the eyeglasses side of the business are completely separate - so when you finish the exam you walk out with your prescription / results. In other words - the OD has no skin-in-the-game to promote or sell you frames / glasses. At my last OD, they hassled me a little when I asked for a copy of my prescription - and in one case - wouldnt let me have it because they wanted to sell overpriced frames / lenses. Eyeglasses World is different - the OD and the optician who assisted with my frame / lens selection (Emily Grace) were both fantastic. My optician checked multiple options for the best price (insurance vs. their in-house special) and I wanted out with 2 sets of glasses that were almost 80% less than the last 2 pairs I purchased last year. Highly recommend this place.

Just want to say this company is very warm and welcoming. One of the best, actually it’s the best eyeglass company I have been to by far. I want to take time to appreciate Eman, who can deal with customers very quickly and made sure I was well taken care of. She was very nice and it made me feel at home let me tell you I will definitely be going back. The process to get my glasses was so quick, I did not expect to be in and out so fast. This place is fantastic! We came in needing glasses ASAP. We have 2 insurances and got very overwhelmed and on the verge of a panic attack. Our optician, Katie An helped calm us down and explained everything with great patience. We walked out with a fabulous pair of glasses in an hour!

I went in on an afternoon (4:30) on a weekday for my first pair of glasses ever. I was in need of assistance because I had no idea what I was looking at. I was greated at the door and told someone would be with me soon. I texted my wife, who agreed to meet meet me, that I was there and looking around. She came in 15 minutes later and still NO-ONE AT GLASSES WORLD WAS HELPING ME. There did not seem to be anyone else shopping in the store, there where two employees behind the front counter talking to each other. I ended up going to VISIONWORKS in Hamilton place and 30 minutes later I had my glasses order in and I was headed home!

I went here to see about getting lenses put into frames I already owned. Even though they were busy, I received prompt, courteous assistance. She was even able to get me a slot for that same evening, so my glasses were ready in just 3 hours. The price was great too. Im very pleased with my experience, and I plan to have lenses put into additional frames my family owns. Great job, Eyeglass World.

Eyeglass World-Chattanooga is my go-to place for lenses and has been so for many years. Ms. Iman K. who is the general manager, leads her staff with great heart for them and for their customers. The store is designed with a fresh, open-concept approach which makes it easy to locate/browse their line of lenses, but also to keep safe in the pandemic world we currently live in that requires social distancing and high-level hygienic office practices. The variety of up-to-date, fashionable styles is absolutely on par with anything one could find online. Yes, there are many online warehouse-type lens brokers available which on first glance, might seem as if one could gain a good bargain from shopping online versus a face-to-face visit. But here is the greatest difference between shopping in a physical locale versus an impersonal, cookie-cutter online experience. Although the eyeglass frames might appear: to be quite the bargain, there is nothing that compares to actually sitting down with a trained professional face-to-face who can ask solid questions about your lifestyle and eyewear need and then provide a customized frame, accurate lens and perfect fit. Nothing. On January 5th 2021 I walked into Eye Glass World on Gunbarrel Road . I was greeted and temp was taken . I asked how much a eye exam was and asked if I could look around and if I found a pair I would make a appointment. I did find a few pairs and was able to get a appointment for the next day because someone canceled. So the next day I got my eye exam and I was pleased with the doctor, he was very friendly and professional. I picked out two pairs of glasses and Emily helped me with the rest and I was on my way . When I got home I found that my eye ware choice wasn’t exactly the best fit for me . So I called back the next day and told Monica which happens to be the manager that I picked up my glasses yesterday and I didn’t care for either pair and that I was so sorry !! She said no problem you just come back in and we will help you find some that you do . I felt so bad coming back the next day but Emily along with my friend helped me pick new glasses . They were just as friendly and helpful and made me feel comfortable about my return . Thank you Eye Glass World for helping me and understanding that eye ware is important because it’s something you wear every day and one of the first thing people notice about you !

The eye Dr was AMAZING! Everyone else in that office was AWFUL. Outright rude, just looking to get their checks. If I could give the staff 0 stars, I would. The Dr would be 5 stars.

I wasn’t looking forward to the daunting task of picking out new frames and glasses. I chose Eyeglass World because they helped me order some contacts last year. I like the fact that they quickly greet customers as they walk in and service is prompt. Monica helped me and made picking out new glasses fun! She has a talent for picking out frames that work well with facial features. She was very professional and spent a lot of time making sure I was happy with my purchase. I even purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses to go along with my eyeglasses. I would definitely recommend this place.

The visit and selection was fine. The doctor and exam was fine. Ordered 2 pair, got one the next day and told that the other would be 6 days out. 3 weeks later I called and discovered they had been there and ready. No one called, no one . Terrible follow up.

My husband visited your office (Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga) last Monday, November 23, after seeing your advertisement online that walk-ins are welcome. Hed broken his glasses, and he cannot see well enough to do his job without them. In other words, he needed new glasses quickly! Well, apparently walk-ins arent welcome after all, because he was told that he couldnt get an appointment until December 2. He went ahead and made the appointment, but after he left, he found someone else that could see him immediately. He called you back that VERY SAME DAY and cancelled the appointment. However, you keep sending appointment reminder texts to his phone. This appointment was CANCELLED. We have screenshots of his call log where he called you to cancel, screenshots of his responses to your texts, screenshots of the messages sent to you through Facebook, and a screenshot of this review. Please stop texting him. He works odd shifts, and you keep waking him up to remind him of an appointment that DOES NOT EXIST. He will not be there! After reading all the complaints on your Facebook page, ranging from slow service to incorrect glasses to rude staff (which my husband also experienced), frankly, Im glad he went elsewhere.

Couldn’t even make an appointment!!Website says store is open until 7pm. I called at 550 and was asked to hold. At 610 I used my daughters phone to call as well, mind you my phone was still holding on line. Same young lady answered phone and immediately asked how she could help me. I asked to make an appointment and was told that the doctors office closed at 6 and I would have to call back.We will now being going somewhere else because if they had not put me on hold for 20 minutes I might have actually been able to schedule something. If this is how they handle phones, I don’t want to know how they handle in store customersAlso who helps someone on the line when they have someone who has been on hold for 20 minutes.And if the doctors office portion of the store must be open in order to make an appointment, maybe advertise that so people aren’t wasting their time.

We went to Eyeglass World for our annual exams and contacts/glasses. The employees were great, especially Lexi. She was friendly, professional and went above and beyond to meet our needs.

Good service by store staff but lab guy cut out early so be aware that while store may be open until 7 pm, lab closes at 5 pm and the lab worker was gone before 4 pm today. Keep that in mind when trying to get same day glasses. But still better than having to wait for an off site lab

Awesome and fast response to my issue. My pearl vision frame had broken twice. Le I found me a frame that fit my lenses and had them changed out in under 10 minutes. Awesome service and I appreciate it!!

This was my 6 year old daughters first time going to an eye doctor. That being said, we had the most wonderful experience!! The optometrist had her laughing the whole time and made her SO comfortable! He was thorough and quick. Then, getting the prescription filled was just as great of an experience! They were very patient letting her pick out VERY reasonably priced (2/$78) glasses, which were also stylish and cute. Carlos then proceeded to fill our order promptly and informatively to give us the best deal. I’d also like to say how kind he was to my daughter! As well as the rest of the staff, while her and my other daughter decided to play hide and seek around the glasses display shelf.All in all, her and I had a WONDERFUL experience for a fantastic price! Definitely recommending all my friends, and friends with children to Eyeglass World!

Eye exam running an 1.5 hours behind from my schedule appointment. If u make an appointment with this office make it a hour before u want it. Hopefully u will get in that way. Sad they book that many appointments. Ask for the 1st appointment and u will be good.

I had a really awesome experience today. I was without glasses for a week. there is not one same day place around Atlanta, so I took the hour drive to Chattanooga. I left an hour early then they told me. excellent job people! You saved the day! everyone was awesome. I didnt have enough to get what I really wanted, but I have two sets of great gasses. thanks for everything!

I went on the worst possible day, the last day of the year. They were so accommodating that they opened on a SUNDAY!!!! It was hectic to say the least, but everyone did their best to get me out as soon as possible. I have to give props to Connie who gave me exceptional, outstanding customer service and the others were RIGHT in line with her.

Had a wonderful experience. It took me about 20 minutes to actually decide what glasses i wanted but monica was so patient with me! She went around the store showing me glasses i might like in my price range. I left with two pairs of glasses for a good price and they were ready for pickup the next day. I was always happy with them until I find out yesterday that the glasses that Im suppose to have bi-focal lenses does not have the bi focal after all. The staff has always been pleasant to deal with. I guess wherever they send gasses to is the problem.

I used this store over 4 years ago. My frames were The Brittney Frames and The Rachel Frames. I had no line bifocals with the automatic darkening when I was in the sun. After losing 1 pair the 2nd year and then lost my other pair about 1 year ago. For some reason I went to the place my husband did and only got 1 pair and it was 100.00 cheaper. I was never happy with those. I lost them yesterday, I need to get glasses today and I am praying I can get in there today and if I will be lucky enough to get some that I love as much as I did my 1st visit and until the day that the glasses disappeared.Sorry for the long review, after a few days I will follow up with the review. I decided on Eyeglass World to get some extra glasses for my grandson for when he spends the night at Nonnys (Grandmother)... I was greeted by a very pleasant young man, Carlos who handled our needs to the very end with the most wonderful, friendly experience. Terrible customer service. After waiting over 30 minutes to be helped an employee was finally available. The employee started helping us then half way through the order realized she would be getting overtime so left. Wasnt going to wait another 30 minutes so left and will be ordering elsewhere.

I had an issue with a pair of glasses that my lens had been broken by mistake. They took great care of me and had a new pair of glasses ready the next day. Excellent customer service.

Had a great experience. Had the exam next door at the McDonald Eyecare Center then proceeded to pick out frames for new script. There are plenty of very nice frames available in their 2 pair for $78 rack so you dont have to spend a fortune. The 2 pair specials are for single vision lenses and if you do not have insurance; however, using insurance still affords you some great discounts. They will also put the new lenses in your old frames if thats what you want. I found them to be very accomodating and friendly. My new glasses (2 pairs with separate scripts instead of progressives) were ready within about 4 hours.

Called three times trying to make an appointment and no one will pick up the phone. The first time I was on hold for over 20 min before hanging up. The hold recording says to make an appointment in the website. The website says to call to make an appointment. Someone from the store side took my info to have to dr. side call me back but they never did.

I went into the store the 3rd of March to order new glasses, both regular and sun glasses. It took two weeks to get the glasses. The right lens was imperfect and could only see out of the left hand side. They said they would reorder. Another two weeks later the new lens came in. The replacement lens was worse than before. They had to reorder again. This time they got new measurements for my pupils and updated it saying they were wrong the first time. Another two weeks goes by and the replacement lens comes in for the 3rd time. This time not only is the right lens still not right, now the left lens was now blurred and imperfect also. This time, they used an IPad to measure my face, eyes and said there previous measurements were incorrect also. They told me they would need to reorder again! I politely said no thanks and 3 tries and a month and a half was enough. I asked for and received a refund back to my payflex card. This was on May 27th. I called my insurance company to find out how long before I could go to a different eye glass place and use my insurance again after the refund. They informed me it would be 30 days. I waited 6 more weeks to go to Lenscrafters to obtain new glasses, based on the process my insurance company gave me for the reversal of the claim. During the process of buying my new glasses, my insurance denied the claim from Lenscrafters. I called my insurance company and found out that Eyeglass World NEVER reversed the insurance claim against my policy! This has now been a 5 month process of being caught up in this nightmare. I left Lenscrafters and drove over to Eyeglass World to find out what the issue was. Needless to say the customer service was nonexistent. The GM tried to tell me they had process the return and asked if I didnt receive a refund. I told her yes, but not for the claim against my insurance. She told me that they were not responsible for that and it was sent to another company to complete. She could not show me where it was sent to them when I asked to see it. I asked for her bosses name and number, she told me and wrote her name down, Krystal. I called the 800 number she gave me and the first time the number answered they hung up without 1 word being spoken. I called back and spoke with the most rude person that I have ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. I asked her for the DMs name and number and was only given her name, only to find out the name person the GM of the store gave me was not the name of the DM the person on the phone gave me. Obviously the GM was hoping I wouldnt call before leaving the store to find out that once again there was an issue. The person on the phone wanted to know why I wanted to speak with the DM. I told her and was very to the point and at my wits ends of dealing with the most incompetent company Ive ever had to deal with. I was told the DM would call me in 48hrs. I left the store and on the way home the same person called me and told me that they considered the case closed and not to expect a call from anyone and the GM did not want me to return to the store. No one told me if the claim reversal was done. No one apologized for any of the issues with the reorders of the glasses. No one tried to make any of this right nor did anyone even say sorry for missing the reversal of the insurance claim. Where they hoping I wouldnt try to get glasses the rest of the year and collect money for something they never provided? I call that bad business, bad customer service and down right deceitful. Just wondering how many times they never reversed claims and collected money they werent entitled to. I would STRONGLY recommend NEVER trusting this company or location with your business. They obviously know nothing about customer service, building relationships, their own internal processes or operations. STAY AWAY
