Second trip to Chattanooga in the past three months (live in S Metro ATL)…Market South has become a must stop for wife and I! Great atmosphere, great service, and great food/drinks!

Love the idea and execution of this place. We interacted with 3 staff members and all of them were friendly and knowledgeable. I love it when staff members know their stuff. So I was super impressed because this is like four or five separate but intergrated entities they have to know all about.

A great place for the indecisive friends, family and colleagues, because they have something for everyone. Free parking in the lot behind the building. Of course, the food is delicious, because its part of a local, family owned restaurant group that makes sure quality, excellent food and great service is priority. The longevity of the commitment from their employees says a lot about the owners, and that they care about their staff. Aesthetically pleasing inside with plenty of space to relax and chat with your bestie, have a lunch or dinner meeting or catch up on emails while enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

This place has great atmosphere, great employees, great beer, great coffee, and from what I hear, great food. (Sorry, havent tried the food yet. Just coffee and beer.)This is a place you could probably take anyone and have a good time. Large amounts of indoor / outdoor seating. Plenty of choices on what to do.Also, they have plenty of nongendered bathrooms. (Ill never understand having a mens room and a womens room when they are the same completely singular bathroom. Dont complicate it with gender. When you gotta go, you gotta go.) Also, they are always clean.

My friend and I came in for dinner tonight and we were very lucky to have Will (Blue hair) as our server. Will helped us narrow down our choices and suggested great food options, Everything was delicious! We had such a fun and personal experience! We spoke with a manager as well and she was equally as kind and welcoming! 10/10 recommend eating at Market South and absolutely recommend Will as a server. Thank you so much for going above and beyond! :)

This place is great! You have three different menu options that can all be served at the same table. Example: pizza for the kids and an amazing curry with grilled okra for the adults. Want to please everyone? This is your place!

Chow Main was excellent. Best Dan Dan noodles I have ever had. Also ordered some parmesean garlic fries from the bar side.

Came here on a Friday evening for some drinks on the patio. They have a nice patio area with physical distancing and it’s a cool atmosphere in the brewery. They had 50% off bottles of wine as a special for the day. I didn’t give 5 stars because there are only 3 cocktails on the menu, a greater selection would be niceUpdate: have been back since and it’s returned to normal post pandemic. Lots of great food options with chow main and I loved the Dan Dan noodles. They also offer burgers, pizza and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. We ordered a flight of beers from five witz which was fun. They have a lovely outdoor and indoor seating area.

Market South is a hip new food hall in Chattanooga. Inside there are multiple lounge areas, bars, coffee shop, and different restaurants to choose from. The vibe is cool and eclectic, the decor is urban botanical.The venue has both open style ordering and seating, along with sit down style where a server takes your order. At first we weren’t sure if we just go up to the counter and order; or sit down and wait- a staff member told us you could do either! There were many helpful employees around to help and direct you where to go.The coffee drinks at Green House were delicious, I would definitely go back just for them. As far as food I ordered a salad from Chow Main and Kalucha from Grand Trunk. Both were tasty, but nothing extra special. My boyfriend ordered sliders from Grand Trunk and he said they were 10/10 delicious.

There are three kitchens and the menu has plenty of options.We were seated right away and our server was pleasant and efficient.The food was great. We had pepperoni pizza, tasty, square and crispy crust. We also had green curry and it was spicy and flavorful.Definitely will be back!

Had high hopes for the place after hearing reviews from friends and online but my family ended up a little disappointed. I’ll start with the positive though! The place was designed well. It’s really cute and aesthetically pleasing! The wait staff was very kind and great. As far as the food is concerned it seems like they kind of spreading themselves thinly. Everything was a little one note and needed salt. I can tell they are trying to expand flavor notes but I think it needs some more work!

Incredible addition to Main Street and Chattanooga’s Southside. What a collaboration of food, beer, coffee, tea and fun. The concept and atmosphere is rather unique in this area. Enjoy!

Today was our first time having brunch here. The selection isn’t huge but I prefer that. First, it makes it easier to choose and second, it think it’s great for a place to do a few things well - and from our sampling it seems they definitely do them well.Even though this is presented as a food hall, all of the seating in the main part of the restaurant is full service. You can sit at the bar as well and I believe that the taproom operates with a separate kitchen.As for our brunch today, the bagel was on point - a classic done exactly as it should be. The vegan tacos were spicy and delicious. The cabbage pancake (yes you read that right) was surprisingly good and the saag-shuka was spicy and comforting. They have 3 dollar brunch cocktails and our server, Anna, was friendly, helpful and really good at her job.

The Dan Dan noodles are too spicy hot. They should make that an option or allow you to choose the level of spiciness. My pizza took about 20 minutes and it was room temp. Not good at all. Nice atmosphere. Has potential. One of the restaurants has a rotating theme. Now it is Korean. I wish wed gone that route.

Love walking there after being at Bees on a Bicycle either for a beer, dinner, or sometimes even breakfast! My near-work go-to spot, full of delicious food and drink options!

Disappointingly small! This place used to have a great large burger. The thing I got today had an almost paper thin patty ….still tasted great but I left hungry.

This place will be a fave in Chattanooga for a long time. On trend and on point venue with just about anything you could want in terms of food and beverage for a a good time with family and friends. Bustling open dining area mixes 3 restaurants into 1. Its an upscale food court that serves tableside vs ordering at the counter. Though brand new, the service was good and food came out on time. Great menu selections across the board for a group that cant agree on a cuisine for the evening. There was a problem with my dish, but management made it right quickly and effectively. The venue is noisy, but it has an electric vibe that is so much fun. Expect a crowd who are on the young side of life and if you want a quiet dinner for two, probably not best place. Our extended family had a great experience and will for sure return.

I don’t rate things often but I’ve been here 5 times and I’ve only had one good experience. 8$ for a cucumber with some hot sauce on it. Multiple times my order has taken 30+ minutes. Ingredients in my food (same meal) has changed? Brussel sprouts one day and broccoli the next. Good riddance.

Im really not sure what this place is supposed to be....the food was not that great. They only had 4 cocktail options....asian & American food, with Mexican drinks was strange. Felt rushed even though the place was almost empty. Dont get food here, just go for the beer

This is one of my favorite new (ish) places in the Southside! They have a menu that boasts Chinese, Indian, Italian, and American cuisine with their own brewery and pop up kitchen in the back. If you’re familiar with Clydes, Urban Stack, or Taco Mamacita, Market South is owned by the same folks and trust me, they know what they are doing. Always check out their pop up in the back of rotating chefs for specials. We recommend their Dan Dan Noodles and Indian Chicken wrap on the food side and their Brown Ale and Saison for beers. If you haven’t been or don’t know what mood you’re in, stop by this unique fixture for a good meal and a good time!

Seemed like a really cool environment to grab a drink on a Saturday night but our experience was quite frustrating. We got a table really quickly but no one seemed interested in serving us. Going home without beer and with an empty stomach is always a let down.

Me and my sister had a early dinner here on Saturday and the staff was wonderful, the food hot and yes good.

Great place to hang out especially because they have three types of food. They have a Chinese restaurant, Burger bar, Philly cheese steaks, and pizza. And each of these types of food are fantastic. To add to it Market South also has an in house brewery. Absolutely recommend.

Truly fantastic food, their lemongrass chicken is amazing.Additionally, very next level service. There was nothing on the menu that my mother could eat due to multiple allergies and the manager had them whip something up for her. Great service and great food.

UPDATEMarket South reached out (very quickly, I might add!) to let us know theyre making changes to ensure mix-ups like this wont happen again. We think theyre genuine in their efforts for change. And, besides the mix ups with vegetarian/non-vegetarian meats, we love their food. Obviously. We keep going back even when they mess up!**Menu should be very vegetarian friendly, but the kitchen has gotten our orders wrong multiple times, switching out meat alternatives with pork.

Love this place. The Tye Dye pizza is awesome and so it the salad. The coconut Matcha was so so so good!!! I did the hot one.

Food tasty and large portions.Only a few people there and dining area was very cool...needed light jacket to be comfortable so made experience a little less enjoyable. Will return in Spring.

Absolute terrible service. Walked in and the hostess was so distracted she didnt even help us right away. When we were seated, we were told that our waitress would be right with us. We sat there waiting for 20 minutes and no one even came to our table, despite several waitresses repeatedly walking by us to other guests tables. It really wasnt even that packed. After waiting 20 minutes without so much as anyone even asking if wed like a water or stopping by to say someone will be right with us, we got up and left.

The flavor profile of this place is Bonkers! Highly recommend if youre in Chattanooga and want a chill spot with amazing cuisine that leaves your tongue begging for more! Its couple with an awesome beer selections that will bring tears because you know at some point youll have to leave. All brought with an awesome staff that looks to make sure you have a memorable experience. Definitely will be returning to this spot and bringing others!

Straight bad. Took and hour and a half for food. And it wasnt grear. Waitress wad nice but didnt ask to refill beers at all. Too big for what it can offer. Its a cool looking place but the food is meh and service is subpar.

Everything I’ve eaten here is so delicious and every member of the staff I’ve encountered has been so genuine. My favorites are the cucumber dish and the breakfast burrito.

Well prepared food, great atmosphere and beer? Whats not to like? The spicy Asian food is the mainstay. Their spice ratings seemed exaggerated, but if you need mild go with the pineapple fried rice. Twas flavorful.

We were tourist to Chattanooga. It’s a nice one stop restaurant for all. We had pizza for kids it taste homemade and so tasty. And tired Indian Talli, great quantity and awesome taste. I wish we have more of fusion taste and multi cuisine available at one place. So friendly staff and great place to eat.

Great space, nice to come and get some work done while enjoying food, coffee (and later in the day, a beer). Only issue is that the front doors were open on multiple 40-degree days - be sure to bring a jacket to wear inside!

The building itself was very cool and the fact that you can get different cuisines in one restaurant is nice however overall it was a bit of a let down. The gentleman that greeted us was somewhat rude, our server was pleasant however she didnt write our order down and thus my girlfriend received the wrong food. She asked for sliders and recieved a wrap. She really enjoyed her wrap even though it wasnt what she asked for. I personally felt the food was under seasoned and not very good considering the long wait.

Amazing delicious food choices (I tried a bite from so many friends dishes!). Went with a large group (20+) and they were totally accommodating; food took a little while to come out but not unexpected on a busy weekend evening + large table. All orders came out correctly and most importantly the food was awesome.

When this place first opened I ate the general tzos chicken takeaway like once a week for a little while. It was delicious. Perfectly spicy and the chicken remained delightfully crispy despite being very saucy! But lately (the last three or four times I’ve gotten it) have been bad, like very bad. Loaded with chili’s but no spice, the Brussels sprouts barely cooked and the chicken unappetizingly soggy. It’s extremely inconsistent, you never know what you’re going to get. The service has always been great but the food just isn’t good. After trying and trying again to give the food I once loved another shot, I think I’m done.Service: 5 starsFood: 1 or 2 stars (depending on the day)

A very unique experience!! I love the variety of food options paired with Five Wits Brewing Company connected. Perfect place for large groups too. (I suggest ordering a little of everything and sharing!) There is also a coffee bar for those who dont drink and a vinyl listening area. SO awesome!

I was really impressed by Market South. Although I was a little confused by design that some of the food you sit down and order instead of going to the window, the hostess was friendly and helpful and got us set up right away. The atmosphere is very hip, and it really feels like the place for young adults in the Downtown Chattanooga area.The menu was really great, and we were particularly impressed with the availability of vegan and vegetarian options. We also loved the matcha tea options, that were really top notch.The icing on the cake was our server Ashley. She was so genuine and helpful. In an era of declining customer service, she added tremendous value to our dining experience.We will be back!

Love love LOVE the food!! The decor and plant life inside the restaurant gives it a real nice touch of freshness and openness to the whole building. But the food!!! My server was Bell and she highly recommended me on this build your own Indian styled meal and I was amazed by every little thing on it!! I’m a vegan, so I’m used to not having a ton of flavor options when I go out to nice restaurants, but they have so many flavorful, enjoyable options! From beyond meat, to tofu, and even cauliflower wings! This place has come together so beautifully from being abused all these years, it’s finally reached its true potential

Market South has four different restaurants, a coffee bar, cocktail/wine bar and is also connected to Five Wits Brewing. You can tell they are really passionate about everything they do and the space has been decorated and designed to match. Its just a great place to hang out, meet friends, watch a game, etc. Cant wait to come back when the temperatures are cooler to hang out on the great outdoor spaces. Highly recommend!

Recently moved to Chattanooga from Memphis and this is my favorite restaurant. My husband is Chinese and very picky about his Chinese food and he approves! Our favorites so far are Dan Dan noodles, lemon grass chicken, pineapple fried rice, and the Indian Nachos. Pizza is great too!On Saturdays and Sunday, they have $3 bloody Mary’s and mimosas.

The service was pretty awful and the food I ordered was nothing like it was described on the menu. Cool atmosphere but after paying for food I didn’t eat and servers that didn’t care I have no desire to go back.

Best fried rice in Chattanooga

Pizza came out in 5 minutes but other entree took 45 minutes ; weird and unacceptable even if if you say pizza comes out fast as an excuse ... ... not rocket science to delivery both within minutes of each other. Food was good I might add .

I had a great pale ale but fyi they are not allowed dogs. Even on the patio. They were very nice in telling me but wanted it to be stated somewhere. Definitely worth the try but dont take the pups.

Three menus in one with flavorful food off any one and great seating in multiple places!

Great addition to Main St in Chattanooga. A little different than any food hall experience Ive had because they have a host and servers rather than walk up service. Youre seated and order from any of the restaurants off one aggregated menu. We tried selections from 3 menus and all were stellar. I opted for a vindaloo with basmati rice, dal, chili chutney candy garlic naan and it was excellent. Chattanooga has always had a disappointment of an Indian food scene and this sets it all straight.
