We recently purchased a Volvo from Long of Chattanooga and our sales rep, Jason Odom, was great. He went through everything with us, there was no pressure. After we decided to purchase the vehicle, Jason spent as much time as we asked for showing us the vehicles features and how they work. Next time we buy a vehicle, well be calling Jason.
Negotiated terms on a “new car” lease for a white Volvo X90 T6 over the phone, emphatically confirming all terms clearly prior to driving from my home in Nashville. After several phone conversations and asking for the stock number on the car to figure out it had over 7,000 miles on it, I was assured it was in immaculate condition.So I set up an appointment at along Volvo to get up yesterday, rent a car in Nashville and drive to Chattanooga to pick it up. Got there, drove the car and filled out the financing forms, then Bam! - the bait and switch. “Oh we forgot to tell you this car was damaged five months ago, but that repair work only hit carfax this morning”. So even if I would have run the VIN number I would never have known it anyway. They showed the receipt for the $7,000+ worth of body work including the hood and front bumper among other parts. They then asked me to sign the required legal form stating I acknowledged the damage occurred. They are required legally to do this. Immediately the hairs stood up on the back of my neck.Then I asked to see the required loan disclosure form, as I wanted to see the interest rate factored into the deal, (which was being financed as a used car through Hyundai, not as a new car through Volvo, so zero factory incentives etc). Interest rate always impacts what’s behind the overall lease deal and the purchase price on the back end of the lease. I used to negotiate mergers and acquisitions for a living I wasn’t born yesterday. They withheld showing the loan disclosure to me, but if I am a gambling woman I bet it was financed in the 10% range. They instead showed me some other form with the purchase price on which the lease was based. The fact they didn’t even bring out the exact form I asked for was the icing on the cake to make this an overall very icky dishonest situation.I probably could have then negotiated even better terms after learning the VIN number was hexed, but out of principle because they hid the history of the car from me until the 11th hour into the deal, I took a pass on the car and walked out. The sales manager then asked if instead I’d be interested in a Mercedes but no way was I doing any business there with those people for any car. Even though I was six hours into this project, I instead drove my rental car back to Nashville with nothing to show for my full day of effort.The worst part for Long Volvo? My brother was with me and was ready to pull the trigger on another Volvo X90 which would have been a two-car deal for Long. But he took a pass also.Buyers of a certain income range choose high-end car brands to avoid these kind of car buying shenanigans. A whole lot of wasted energy but it was the absolute right decision to walk out. I instead last night signed paperwork for a brand new Lexus based on 0% interest rate and tons of Lexus incentives built in. I was highly impressed with the integrity of the Lexus team throughout the process and felt so much more at ease with my decision. Zero car lot circus games with Lexus.Want a luxury car? Do yourself a favor and avoid the Long family of dealerships. Slick and professional team on the surface, but dishonest tactics lurk underneath.

Went to Long of Chattanooga last week to get a replacement key for my 2016 Volvo XC60 R-Design and came home with a 2021 XC60 Polestar Hybrid. Its a gorgeous SUV that I saw on the show room floor as I wandered around waiting for my key. The sales person, Jason, asked me if I had any questions and I had lots...he answered every one - there are lots and lots of features on this model and he was extremely knowledgeable. I took a test drive and fell in love with the car. Jason worked closely with me and the manager and together they found multiple discounts including Loyalty, my credit union, Costco and others getting me a very nice discount off the sales price of this brand new model. Everyone at Long, from sales associate, manager, finance, etc. was awesome, but the most kudos go to Jason who not only was the most knowledgeable sales person I have met in my many long years of buying cars, SUVs, and truck, but walked me through all the features multiple times and ensured the vehicle as carefully washed, clean, and gassed up for me to take home the same day. Best car buying experience ever!

My wife and I visited Long of Chattanooga yesterday to simply look at a Volvo S60 in person, to maybe purchase one in the future. We met with Cedric and he was so delightful and extended us an offer to take it for a spin, so we obliged with absolutely NO intention of buying one without discussing it and running through all the pros and cons of internet research. And I literally never jump the gun on a big purchase without the necessary digging on my own. HOWEVER... Cedric literally walked us through everything about this car, answering every question, and even offering answers to questions we didnt know to ask, so much so, that and research I could have done on my own simply would have been futile. We walked out buying the floor model of this car, and we honestly couldnt be happier with the dealership, and most especially with Cedric. Everyone at this place was so nice and not pushy, which is huge with my wife and I. As you can see from this review (as LONG as it may be) I could go on and on about the wonderful treatment we received from Cedric and the whole staff there that day. But I will assume anyone reading this to this point gets the gist of what I am taking way too long to say. SIMPLY WILL BUY EVERY FUTURE VEHICLE FROM THEM PERIOD. Very impressed with Cedric. He originally responded to my request for information through email but never pressured or harassed me to get into the dealership.Once we did visit the dealership, we were immediately greeted by Cedric, and soon after, the entire staff. All who are awesome. It was an enjoyable experience the entire time we were there.
I took my XC90 in for routine service. All service completed satisfactorily and before the estimated time period initially given.
I went to Volvo not knowing that I was going to purchase my dream car. I was extremely nervous going in. I didn’t think I was going to buy a car because I didn’t know too much about the brand and what they represent. Jason knows so much about the vehicles that he could honestly be the spokesperson for Volvo honestly. He helped me look at different vehicles different price ranges but made sure to ask what it was that I was looking for. I saw the car that I wanted when I walked in (it was love at first sight lol). Jason showed me multiple cars and we test drove my dream car and fell in love with it, I was filled with so much knowledge about it and that I confidently knew it was the one. Being a big purchase everyone should feel confident and what they chose and this was definitely it for me. I need to also give Torrie a huge huge shoutout she was amazing and has such an amazing presence, she helped me with a lot more than she knows. I was an anxious mess but her just having simple conversation with me made everything better. All in all if you’ve made it to the end of this extremely long post, the team at Volvo is amazing thank you so much for everything that you guys have helped me with. A few weeks ago my car was stolen from my driveway in the middle of the day with several Christmas presents inside it. I rented a car from hertz for a few days and they charged me $300 to was the car as well as my insurance company. Through the stress of the loss I now had to find a new car that I could trust. Today I went to Chattanooga Volvo and by chance had the car I was looking for. I was kindly greeted by Jason and Spencer who spent several hours with me to make sure I had everything I needed to know about the car and more. I then ran into a small problem with the price and my budget. I was heartbroken and was not looking forward to going anywhere else because the chance i would come across two people like Jason and Spencer was unlikely. To my amazement my boyfriend added his car that he was selling in as a trade while Jason and Spencer went to bat for me. When they returned and the after several calls I was still unable to get the car. They both said “we will ask again we are pulling for you. We want you to be in a good safe car”. I’ve been through the car buying process and I knew I was not going home with the car at this point. Jason and Spencer came back to the room and did not say a word. They just smiled handed me a pen and a contract. They went above and beyond and they gave me hope in customer service once again. A perfect way to start the new year off. I went in to Volvo of Chattanooga today just to look at what they had on the lot and get info on a mailer I received from Volvo, Jason Odom and Lee Pierce greeted me on the lot and asked if he could help me. After talking fo a bit, I ended up trading my leased 2016 vehicle for a new lease on a 2020 vehicle. Ive had a few issues with my new 2019 XC 90- I bought as a certified vehicle in Atlanta and the car was delivered sight unseen (wont do that again). It had warped rotors and some software issues. I dropped it off late (after 8PM) and was met by a service agent who immediately knew who I was. They were very responsive when I had questions and took care of my issues. They also followed up to make sure I was happy with the service, which I was. Ive been very pleased with my first 2 interactions with the service department.

Paid $600 for my 40,000 maintenance per Volvo. My car did not go into shop till 11:15 at earliest as I sat and waited on friend to pick me up.and it was done when I got back at 12:40. They charged me 2 hours at $145/hour. When I got back and saw it was just sitting, no one in Volvo Service, so waited another 10 minutes or so...no one touched my car. Hyundai man finally went in and said waiting on a car wash!!!!! How long do they wait at $145/hr?Next, my papers show both 20,000 mile and 40,000 work to be done. Which did they do? I was specific in telling them 40,000. Guess I need to assume it is my job to check the items on invoice v. the Maintenance book.Clearly states on invoice Tires are OK at this time . Got 15 minutes on way home and tire pressure sensor came on for left frt. tire. Luckily on US 27 there are repair shops . They took a look, and immediately notice a gash in the sidewall, Told me it might be OK to get home, but to either get new tire or switch it to rear. (Ended up buying 2 new front tires). My tires were NOT OK!!! Drove slowly and carefully . Almost home and it went flat, luckily slowly. Had to call roadside assistance and have spare put on. Nightmare.Was very upset and for next 2 hours never could get the Volvo Service to pick up. In error, the operator put me thru to Mercedes and they picked up immediately, said I had to talk to Volvo. After 6 to 7 tries, gave up. Even asked for Nelson.. who I know from horse shows in Franklin, TN where I used to trade with Darryl Waltrip Volvo.....no complaints, ever. . Have driven Volvo Wagons for 25 years, even when I had a company car furnished. And this is likely to be my last car......Losing confidence in the brand, and dealership service .So, I have no clue which service they did, why I would owe for 2 full hours and now wondering exactly what they can be trusted to tell me. I am 75 year old, woman, so two strikes against me.Tried to buy a CPO car at Long, but the salesman was vaping the whole time I talked with him and did not offer to find the car I wanted. Went to Atlanta and they found me the exact car, color and low mileage CPO, in a weekend.Needless to say, I will not be returning to Long unless my warranty covers. I will be waiting for an adjustment to my charge, That is if they ever bother to read their reviews. Most likely will have to go by there if do not hear from them!!! Should be so simple and they make it difficult and even questionable how careful they are (not) in calculating labor time. AND my HomeLink for my entry gate is still not working.....guess I need to figure it out myself. We have Never had issues programing before this car. We thought maybe a fuse. Tried Volvo On Call and they could not help either.....

We bought a gorgeous Volvo C70 T5 hardtop that is perfect for us! We were looking for a Mercedes and could not be happier with this Volvo choice. Jerry Eddy was knowledgeable, gave us all the info we needed to make a decision and then worked with us to close the deal. Leigh Ann worked late into the evening to help us with the right financing and answered any questions we had. Professional and Awesome! We love the smooth ride, sleek lines, comfort and powerful Eco kick with the Turbo we found in the Volvo line. The car is a Swedish Beauty to be sure and I love her. Cant wait to see what Volvo comes out with in the future for convertible enthusiast. Safety, grace and style, whats not to Love.

My rating reflects the car itself and the on going issues it has and the cost of repairing things that shouldn’t be breaking. I have a 2012 Volvo XC60. I bought it brand new. To date it has only 70,000 miles on it. In the first two years I owned it the windshield started to leak. After a bad rain I had about 2 inches of rain water on my passenger side floor board. Thankfully it was under warranty. It took 3-4 times for them to finally fix it. Every time I took it to the car wash water would drip from the roof. In the 7 years I have had the car the following things have broken. The sun roof part kept falling off and hitting me in the shoulder (they never could fix it), the start button fell off ($50 for the part and $250 for labor to fix), my passenger side lock/unlock button fell into the door, the interior car handle broke, both of the levers to lay my back seat down broke, the wood steering wheel is cracking everywhere. I would NEVER buy a Volvo again. The parts are cheap plastic that is expensive to replace. Needless to say I take my car to a mechanic in Cleveland that doesn’t over charge. Never again.
Went to Chattanooga Volvo, among other nearby dealers, seeking to purchase new Volvo. Chattanooga had a car that was a close, but not exact match to what I sought, and they gave me a price that was nearly identical to the other dealers. I noticed the Military Appreciation offer hidden under the About Us tab on their website, and inquired about it, ready to make the deal. The response was, Unfortunately, thats our best price - no other discounts can be applied. Again, the price was the same as other dealers. So, the Military Appreciation offer of rebates from the dealer on top of all other discounts seems to apply ONLY when Chattanooga is NOT giving you a fair price. If theyre giving you what they consider a good deal, then the Military Appreciation discounts are not available to you. Appreciation?!?!???I recall an acronym in the service for such arrangements - FUBAR.Beware of this companys apparent use of Military Appreciation as a come-on to take advantage of your service. Pretty disgusting.

My father was looking at purchasing a new suv from Volvo for me to use as a reliable, safe vehicle to travel to and from college (my college is in an area that has bad weather frequently). The staff here were pretentious and did not offer me or my father an opportunity to test drive a car. We did the design a car program online, showed the staff and asked them to give us a call on estimated production time & paperwork. They never called so we went back a month or so later, this time with my mom (as we were seriously impressed with the cars themselves and felt like we were indeed going to buy). They STILL had bad customer service and had no explanation or apology to offer for their disservice. We instead went to do business in Bristol, TN (although the service there wasn’t great either- the brand needs some SERIOUS PR & customer support health).
