Wife and I had the Smoked Wings bathed in the Best Alabama White Sauce weve had since we moved away from Alabama +30 years ago. Main Street meats youve NAILED Alabama white sauce! Big Bob Gibson would be proud. Get the wings appetizer its perfect.We also had the house made smoked sausage and it was also very good.After the two appetizers we split the Main Street Meats Burger 🍔. We were told before we went it is the best burger in town. We have to agree! You want a great burger this is the one second to none.

The cheese plate was delicious but the burger was incredible!! It was one of the best burgers we have ever had and being that we are over sixty and have eaten many burgers all over the country....that says a lot!! Great service too. An unexpected foodie delight.

This place is an absolute gem! Some friends who live in the area recommended we eat here. We got there around 7 PM and it was quite busy, however the man behind the bar offered my wife and I a cocktail while we waited for a table. We were sat outside after a short wait and were immediately greeted with water. It was a bit chilly outside but the heaters really keep you warm. Thomas was our server and he was so very helpful. He immediately welcomed us in and explained the menu to us. The “whiskey book” is very impressive. More than 20 pages of bourbons and whiskeys from everywhere you can think of. After speaking with him about some whiskey options, he picked out a good pour for myself. He did not disappoint! He also spoke with my wife about her preferences for wine and brought out a delicious glass of wine for her. We started with a tomato toast appetizer which was beautiful and tasted wonderful. We were told all about the burger but our server talked us into a dry-age steak with a glass of red wine for our meal. This was one of the best steaks I have ever had in my life. The wine paired perfectly. The mashed potatoes were creamy and fresh, the steak sauce was savory and the presentation was clean and professional. You can put this small restaurant up there against the big ones! Unbelievably kind service staff, extremely knowledgeable server and unbelievable food. Could not have asked for a better night. We will be back!

We were seated immediately & loved the chill atmosphere. However when it came to the food, it was not cooked properly, I tried to send it back a got a quick snub by the waitress. Then another waitress who witnessed the snub came buy and I explained that my burger was somewhat under cooked so she took the plate and asked the kitchen to cook it a little more. The burger was returned to me still pink! My husbands burger was just ok. I asked for the check as I will never eat here again. We were here when it first opened a few years ago and the food was aweful then and then today’s experience proved the same. I do NOT recommend this place at all.

This place was great. Fries were good, deep fried in real fat from the butcher on site. The hamburger was fantastic, one the best I have had. A must stop in Chattanooga!

I dont belive I have ever written a review like this before and have experienced some fairly outlandish things in the past, but the price and quality of what I received at main st meats prompted this. I would first like to state that the atmosphere is great, our service from our waitresses was terrific, and they have a great selection of whiskey and cocktails. What makes this a two star review is the price of the food here (see pic for a breakdown). For the amount and quality of food we received, this place is EXTREMELY overpriced. We ordered two drinks and a charcuterie board, and our bill was $82 after tax. With a 20% tip, it was almost a $100 bill for something so mediocre. We had no issues with drink price but to charge $ 24 for 3 half dollar sizes of cheese is ludicrous. The meat itself, while good was nothing extraordinary, which is what you would expect paying $35 for once again, 5 half dollar portions of meat. The head cheese, while clearly authentic, lacked basic seasoning and was extremely bland. All this to say, this is a place for good drinks and maybe for meat to take home, but be ready to mortgage the house if you plan to stay and eat dinner.

Why I give only three stars to Main Street Meats? Ill start from the beginning. This restaurant is amazing in aesthetics! A small restaurant with only eight tables and bar seating. Very quaint. Warm and inviting! The servers are amazing! Very friendly and very helpful! Our glasses of water and sweet tea were never half empty. Everyone filled them if they got close to half full. They were on top of their game! The food. We all ordered the burger with a side of fries. Delicious!!! And the home style fries were amazing!!! Now for the three stars. EXTREMELY OVER PRICED!!!!! Our burgers, while great, were $13. They didnt come with fries... They were an extra $5.50 each. I ordered a diet coke. I received a glass with ice and an eight ounce bottle of diet coke for $3.50. No refills on eight ounce sodas!!!!! Three stars for price only. Way over priced!!!!

Amazing whiskey selection! The charcuterie board was fantastic. Didnt get a chance to stay for supper but this is a must visit when in Chattanooga!

I bought a filet and a strip of bacon from the butchers counter this afternoon. Came home and made this. Hands down best steak I’ve made in a while. Great meat at a great price. Will be a return customer.

Wow, that is the word to describe this place. It’s a butcher shop and cafe in one. What else could you want? But to top it off, the food is great. An ideal place for a lunch spot!

Wow, this place did not disappoint. We had a (rather pricey) unique custom charcuterie with house made sausages, cheeses, and pickles. We devoured it. Also had an amazing steak and delicious beer. They need a few fans for their outside seating in the summer. Service was good. Had a delightful time. Dropped some 💸💸💸 but it was an excellent date for my husband and me.

Aged strip was excellent, cooked perfectly. Homemade fries, fried in beef tallow (as nature intended) and topped with Maldon flaked salt were also amazing. No industrial seed oil nonsense here. Nose to tail goodness. Highly recommended!

The sister to Easy Bistro, Main Street Meats is just as delicious. I love visiting for the craft cocktails and delicious eats. I also love that theres a butcher shop right inside. Yesterday I got the chorizo sausage and it was soooo good. Just about all items that came on the board can be purchased in the butchers shop.

If you don’t visit this place, you’re seriously missing out. I have never had a sandwich this good. The Reuben and smoked turkey had me speechless. I will make sure I stop here EVERY time I’m in Chattanooga. Our server was amazing as well. Thanks for the great lunch!

First of all, the restaurant is great. The butcher shop part is really truly special though. BEST MEAT. You don’t really think about your meat quality unless it’s really good or bad. The meat here is just better. The staff is super knowledgeable. Most are amazing chefs themselves.I walked in today and asked if they had an lardons for a Coq au Vin. He went in the back and fresh cut the part of the ham that is lardons. So fresh, so freaking delicious.I also like walking in and asking what to make for dinner. I am always so happy. Best butcher shop ever.

This is one place you need to visit when you are in Chattanooga. My husband and I eat at lot of hamburgers and this one was by far the best Ive ever had. We split one with the homemade chips on our first visit. On the second, we each had to get our own. Delicious!!

Ive lived in Chattanooga 12 years and this was my first trip. It wont be my last. Amazing filet and broccoli. The service was great. A little loud inside but they have outdoor seating as well. Solid experience.

Best dining experience in Chattanooga!! We happened to cancel our fancy dinner reservations for Valentine’s to walk around and happened into this spot and I have NO regrets!! John Allen was the best waiter I have experienced in the longest time! His recommendations were top notch! We went to another more highly rated place the night before and paid more for a very mediocre meal. This place is far beyond expectations and should definitely be your next dinner spot!

One of the greatest burgers I’ve ate anywhere at any cost... and it only cost $11. Also huge thanks for the half pour of the 25 year old Rhetoric bourbon for free. Highly recommend for anyone in town looking for an amazing burger.

It was our first time to eat out since the pandemic and did we pick the right spot! My spouse had the juiciest hamburger Ive ever seen and I had the warm turkey sandwich (sans the bun) with amazing pesto. The sides are the size of entrees. My spouse went with the fries fried in tallow (think McDonalds back in the day) and I had the broccoli. Both were full of flavor and beautiful to the eye. The service was outstanding. We never need to ask for anything, the wait staff was always proactive and right there to help. Were going to enjoy another meal before we wrap up our mini-vacation and look forward to coming back again.

I like the lunch menu better than dinner the dinner. Hands down the side salads are always great and unique veggie dishes!

Located on the south side of Chattanooga, Main Street Meats is a full scale neighborhood butcher/cheese shop, but also a small scale restaurant with a well planned and developed menu. You can bring your own wine but they have a robust selection the. This being Tennessee, I was obligated to do a flight of whiskeys as well. I chose the Tennessee flight consisting of pours from all local distilleries. All three were smooth easy drinking whiskeys where each sip was better than the last. Our server was friendly and attentive. His suggestions for food were impeccable.

Best burger in Chattanooga? Maybe. I have to deduct points because of the limited topping options, but the patty and bun were top notch. My wife enjoyed her steak, potatoes, and cocktail. We shared a side of broccoli that was off the hook. We didnt try the beef tartare, but I took a picture of it on the menu because I guess you cant get it very many places?

First class, rotating menu. Great spot for casual drinks and/or a full culinary experience. Amanda and Erik are the type of small business owners that have helped Chattanooga become a magnetic city. A visit to MSM or Easy Bistro will show they pride themselves in delivering an awesome customer experience and out of this world food.

Absolutely never tire of MSM. Love the salads that change seasonally, and LOVE the potato salad. I so appreciate that the menu items come from local farms. The staff is friendly, and the owner, Erik, is always warm. Also, MSM has the best burger in Chattanooga.

My word... WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE FIND! I have wanted to visit this place for a while but I had thought is just another high-end store, offering up seasonal selections of cured meats, sausages and spreads. Boy that could not be futher from the truth! They have a well balance menu where EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING is exquisite! From the ambiance to the service, to the decor and more importantly the FOOD all was simply elegant and tasteful.The staff is very knowlegeble and excellent at identifying your perfect combination so do not be shy ask questions. The Meat and cheese boards are an exquisite addition to your dinning so you must try it at least once.They quite fair in their pricing. Offeeing creative cocktails, local beers and international wines in a modern space divided into a cozy dining room and a chic market store area.This place is in one word is EXCELLENT!

Hands down the best burger in the city! They make their own house blend ground beef and it has a great flavor and texture. They top it with gruyere cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, homemade pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard. The menu is very small, but all of it is delicious. They are also a butcher shop, so you can purchase various cuts of meats and sausages, including some high end aged steaks. It is a small space, so they dont have much seating, so you may have to wait, but it will be worth it.

The burger is sublime and the service impeccable. I could not stop expressing expletives of pure bliss as I consumed what I can only describe as gods gift to man. I don’t even eat burgers, and hardly touch red meat. Also, my water glass was never below half full and the outdoor dining/ Covid protocol were top notch. Eat here. Do it.

The cream of onion soup delicious and looked like it jumped right off the page of a cook book. It looked so good I almost hated to put my spoon in it. The house burger was cooked perfectly and it too was very pleasing to the eyes. The staff was very friendly and and knowledgeable about the food. The atmosphere was very laid back and chill a good place for first date or brunch.

Look at this super funny sign they have in the bathroom 😂😂😂😬🥃. Dinner is a little on the pricey side but hella worth it. The server was well versed in what the kitchen had cooking and was able to offer sevaral suggestions. I have heard the lunch is also great and a lot more affordable. We will decently be going back. Oh and they try to source all their meat and other ingredients from local farms and even a verified grain free farm.

It’s hard to put into words what a gem of a restaurant this is! The burgers at lunch were so amazing, that we decided to come back for dinner. The steaks for dinner were so flavorful and tender, and they have relationships with the local ranchers, so you know where the steaks come from. Service is very friendly and attentive as well. I really struggle to think of anything they could do better! Fine dining quality food, with the accessibility of a neighborhood restaurant and not pretentious at all! Bravo!

Literally one of the best burgers Ive had in my entire life and I consider myself a burger lover, so thats really saying something. The bartender also knew how to make a great old fashioned. My wife loved the house made pork rinds and I really liked the fact that there was a selection of cheeses. It was a little expensive, but it was absolutely worth every cent. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Decent food, nice atmosphere. The dinning area was a bit cold. We came near the end of lunch service, but wasn’t alerted to that fact until we tried to order dessert that kitchen was closed for an hour.

Sit at the bar, you won’t regret it. Chandler is the best. The food here is some of the best in chattanooga and they change their menu seasonally. The cocktails and food are always delicious.

This place is incredible. My husband and I cannot get enough of their breakfast sausage. We pick it up every time we’re in town and usually take some home to cincinnati with us.

My boyfriend and I are out of town from Florida, and we came in for lunch and sat at the bar. We were greeted by Alex and had such a great time! Not only was the food and atmosphere amazing, but Alex took the time to talk with us and recommend other places to go eat/visit while we stayed in town. We enjoyed a delicious creme brûlée after our lunch, and the cocktails were delicious. Highly recommend 10/10!!

My friend asked me if i wanted to taste the best burger in town. He told me that they were actually in the top 10 in the country. Well i was not deceived. Very tasteful meat and burger overall. Sides are great as well. A bit pricey for a burger but totally worth it. Also the meat section in the shop looks very legit!

Great burger and neat local meat shop! I stopped here on vacation because I wanted to try the best burger in town. I had done my research, and read that MSM is the place to go.The meat itself was very tasty, and the gruyere and bacon made it melts and delicious. The side of house fries were good. The collard greens (not pictured) were even better.I love charcuterie and cheese. It’s something I order regularly, and it was no disappointment here.My favorite thing was the beef tartare. It is filet mignon with pearl onions, cornichon, fried capers, cured egg yolk, and dijon. I could eat this everyday. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had. In fact, I went back and had it another night before I left town. It’s that good!

A truly fantastic restaurant! They have the absolute best burger and reuben I have ever had the pleasure of eating. They must be wizards because they have managed to find the perfect balance of juicy, but not overly greasy burgers that combine with the sweet caramelized onions and sour pickles in such a way that youll be left craving more. Their reubens are equally astounding and the sides they offer only further highlight their skill and perfectly compliment everything. Once youve eaten here youll find that nothing else can compare to the meat masterpieces they create. Also, the staff is utterly phenomenal. I live over an hour away, but Im always willing to go the distance to get my burger fix at Main Street Meats.

I cant express in words how great this place is. The burgers will give you a food memory to keep with you and haunt your subsequent burgers. My mouth is watering just thinking about them! Go! Had a massive appetite and had a craving for good steak. Ordered the Dry aged T-Bone and was blown away. More than likely the best steak I have had in my life. Would recommend to anyone, staff was amazing, food quality was amazing and menu selection is also amazing. Come hungry and you will not be let down. Medium rare was the perfect choice for this steak, melted in my mouth and flavour was mind blowing. Perfectly seasoned. Very Impressed.

My experience was fantastic. The space was good for a meeting and even though most of the tables were full on a Sunday afternoon we were able to enjoy our food and talk. Service was friendly and fast. The burger was one of the best that I have had in Chattanooga. I was impressed with every detail. Charming environment. I am always blown away by this place! They are consistently AH-mazing. Great people, quality ingredients, and the single most delicious Reuben ever made! Get the burger, too, and you’ll be loyalists like us!
