I visited this store for the first time today and was completely wowed. First, I am so grateful to have a black owned beauty supply place in town! As I entered I was warmly greeted and asked if I needed help. I told the young lady What I was looking for and she educated me on each product line that fit my needs. This young lady was well informed and super attentive. I have to say, this may have been the best experience I’ve had in a beauty supply shop. You could tell there is a sense of pride from the staff and it shows in how they treat the customer. I just moved to town... this is definitely going to be my spot for hair care. Whomever owns this shop, kudos to you! You are doing it right!

The best beauty supply store I have ever gone too. They are smaller but have a good product assortment and this also helps to create a more intimate experience. There was a minor issue with the register but I was impressed when the young lady was able to contact her manager, rectify the situation easily and apologize for the inconvenience. They are also very friendly and very knowledgeable about Black hair care, so I have will no reservations about coming here for my essentials when in Chattanooga.

A newer place opened up a few blocks from here and although its larger it does not have the same quality this establishment has. Noone was leaning on the counter or on there phone.

I was looking for a short wig or hair toppers. I realized very quickly I was not welcomed I can only guess because I am white. I was treated extremely rude. I felt the man behind the counter did not want me in there . I actually could not get out fast enough. Very rude!!

I am so proud to say I entered you store today and felt as if I was the customer and not just in here getting into someone nerves all the young ladies was very nice and polite the young lady who helped me with my purchase is name Kyanna she is one awesome young lady she did not rush me was very polite and even help me make up my mine yes I am a older lady that still like to look nice when I am out and she helped me 100%. Ive always received excellent customer service from this place, both locations. They have a well lit establishment that is always clean. The only thing I dont understand is the customer service loyalty points system. It seems like I should have received the 15% discount. But nevertheless I will still continue shopping there for their friendliness and variety of products

No challenge is too big for a well trained staff in product knowledge. I wanted something special for my wife so I went to Roots Hair and Beauty. As a male, I have some challenges in picking out something special for my wife. The Staff was amazing! They advised me on what hair products women want and I got the perfect gift for my wife. As I walked in the store I was on the phone making sure I got the right things on this visit. I am a frequent customer but it was all new faces in the Brainerd location today. I love supporting black businesses but today I didn’t not feel comfortable in the store. The location is small so I know where everything typically is. But today I was followed around in this very small store and constantly asked if I need help when I answered them twice with a nice no. I am extremely annoyed and questioning if will ever shop here again. The only reason I started shopping here was because I wasn’t followed around and now this happens after 3 yrs shopping here. I am utterly disappointed at this establishment.

The girls working there are amazing. Always greeting you as soon as you walk in the door. Great wigs and hair. Im moving back to Florida but Ill definitely stop in for my hair care needs when I visit. Very professional young ladies and they was very helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. I will be visiting often. Thank you ladies keep up the work. Plus I love the return policy on the items. If you go to any other hair store you cant trade them or get your money back..

About 3 weeks ago i stopped by roots Brainerd to sée if they had a product I needed and they didnt have it but they were kind enough to call the hey 58 store to see if they had it and they did😊 and not only did they hold it til I got there they compensated me for my troubles! The ladies were awesome from beginning to end, excellent customer service and very professional behavior! I wont shop anywhere else for my beauty supplies and cant stop bragging about it! Today I went to the 58 hwy location, and I had such a pleasant experience! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I wasnt sure of the hair style I wanted and I was a little hesitant to explore. The young lady encouraged me to take my time and look around. It was a breath of fresh air to not feel rushed, or like I was being watched. I left feeling confident with my purchase and I will be back and back and back for more!

The staff is more than likely the best staff in a hair store on the city. They are knowledgeable about their products and always greet you with a smile. Only time I would come here is if I only need like some thread. I went there a couple times to try out, but when I finally bought hair? They told me that the hair was human hair & it was actually Synthetic. Hair didn’t even last a week. Haven’t been here in yrs & will never return.Prices too high for not good quality..

I purchased some hair around the first part of June for a sew-in. I specifically asked if the hair was 7A and was told yes. Each bundle was around 83.99 and I purchased 2. It seemed fine... I got my sew-in and my beautician asked me Where did you get this hair from? and when I told her where and she didnt say anything . Well everything was ok until the next day I woke up and had NO CURLS whatsoever. I didnt really sweat it seeing that I can just re-curl it at my convenience, but OH NO that was not the case! The hair literally DOES NOT HOLD ANY CURLS. I have tried 2 different people just to make sure it wasnt me and it DOES NOT HOLD CURLS. Nobody wants to wear a sew in thats just straight, that defeats the whole purpose. I am extremely unhappy with the product and when I mentioned it to my sister, she said Oh I would have told you if I knew you were getting it from them, thats why I took my sew in down so fast and I had to throw my hair away. The hair is just limp and lifeless even when I straighten it, its almost like Im straightening my own natural hair with no perm in it. I will never purchase any more hair from this place again!
