I had an outstanding experience with Budget Brakes. They were honest and professional and pointed out that I didnt need quite as many services as I thought I did and would have saved me quite a bit of money. I was so impressed with their honesty and professionalism we went ahead and did all the work anyway. Highly recommended.

They did a real priority based inspection they diagnosed all the problems I was having they fixed it they went above and beyond and fixing a couple things I take my hats off to them they were very professional very very clean shop and clean office brought water to me if I needed something to drink it was a great experience and the cost versus the service was first right and its also a lifetime warranty on my brakes and my pads so it takes all the beer out of my braking system I recommend them 100% to anybody who needs brake work done theyre willing to work with you

Before leaving my vehicle for service, I asked for a detailed estimate, and was given one, however, I did not get WRITTEN, detailed estimate. The final bill was two hundred dollars over the verbal estimate. When questioned about the additional charges, the manager explained replacing the front brake rotors was not included in the estimate. The problem I came to have fixed was replacing the front rotors, with new ones.

These guys did a great job and were able to fit me in last minute. They got all 4 Brakes done efficiently. Brakes work as they should and stop great. Only thing I did not like is they turned my rotors instead of new ones. I understand alot of places to do this and its done to save money. I just prefer when I get a complete brake job that everything be replaced. I would recommend them if needing your brakes replaced.

Very honest in thought my car needed brakes. When they looked it over they showed me how my frame was rusted and told me I did not need brakes. They could of done the work and I wouldnt of known any different. Instead they were honest.

It only took them 45 minutes to put brakes on my front for the price so yeah Im giving you five stars

Went in for an wheel alignment!Mind you my truck had just left the shop where it had had a complete once over and replaced $1800.00 in parts under the front end, it was a muddy wet day and the part dont look new after 45 minute drive to them .They said, that I needed parts that i dont need because I already replaced them and have just came from a shop .I know that the parts are new because we bought them your self and had them put on paying extra for Sunday labor .There scammers!!I told them there crazy,I removed my truck and then tuck it down to a honest place and they, lol said that I was not the 1st person who had told them this same thing.

I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado. I need brakes all the way around, and I needed rotors for the front and drums on the back. I had been to two other well-known places. One place wanted to charge me $850 and the other well-known place wanted $1,010. So I wanted a third opinion because the first two people said something slightly different from each other. So therefore I went to budget and of course they said the same thing in a nut shell and their service was wonderful. Both the guys there were great guys and well knowledgeable. And it cost me exactly $673. I was well pleased. Not only with the price but I was well pleased with the professionalism that was shown. I need two other things done, so they printed out a paper with the price and what needs to be done. Kind and courteous but still having issues with my brakes after paying $800

If anyone thinks for one minute that you or anyone else would ever get an $89 brake job that’s a joke! I had them put just pads on the front of my small truck. Rotors were bad, and just wanted time to shop around. After they gave mean $1100 quote! For pads cost me $190! What a joke!

This place is 110% honest and excellent work. I’m a 21yr old woman and my dad sent me to get brakes and he came and gave me a look at the brakes and let me know they were fine and I actually didn’t need a change yet. Not many would be this honest and would value money over morals and most would’ve most definitely taken advantage of a young woman. Please go see them I will be back to get mine changed when they actually need it this time!!

To just put pads on I was told $150, but they say $89

Very nice gentleman. Filled up my fluids for free last minute. Ill be coming here for my car maintenance from now on. Way better than Pepboys, exploiting money out of me. Tried to make me pay them 60 bucks to change a headlight and tail light! And told me when I got there to go buy the bulbs to install them. Ending up doing it myself for less than half that 60 bucks.Didnt feel that energy at all when I visited them. They really know how to do business!

Definitely not a budget at all, dude was polite though. I was quoted $475 for new breaks and rotors, I did the job myself for $130 dollars with better parts. Its dad that many people need to resort to paying these kinds of inflated prices because they dont have the skill set to do it themselves.

Prices are falsely advertised and they wanted $204 to fix a $15 part and wanted $500 for brakes and rotors. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed. I knew I needed rear brakes and rotors. I called for a quote before I made the trip there. I was told they had to look at it first. I reluctantly drove there to be told that they cant look at it Ill have to come back in the morning. Once again I tell them I need rear brakes and rotors. He still will not give me a quote with me standing right there. He says they start at $89.99. I ask what is the worst case scenario price wise. I believe it was somewhere in the $150 range per axle definitely under $200 per axle. I feel like this is reasonable as a different shop had quoted me $275. I come back first thing the next morning to drop off the car and return to my job. A couple of hours later I get a call from Budget saying that I need rear brakes and rotors(yes Ive told them this at least 5 times now) he says I also have a shake in the front brakes. I didnt ask them to even look at my front brakes. Whatever if there is a shake lets fix it. I ask for the price. Im informed that for the front shake and the orginal job I asked for it was going to be over $500. At this point Im blind with rage that Ive been given the run around and lost the appointment at the shop that quoted $275. I ask for the price without fixing the front shake. Im told that it is going to be over $300. I dont remember the final total because as I mentioned Im fuming. I told him the quote the other shop gave me and he says that it probably doesnt include hardware. Guess what it does! I tell them to put the car back together I wont be paying that price. Even if they had a cheaper price in the future I wouldnt go there. They wasted my time and their techs time by refusing to give a quote over the phone and in person.

I went there cause my truck was getting hard to stop, I didnt know that my brakes were totally shot, they replaced all of the obvious parts which were double in price than what I could them for, plus they charge me double or triple in labor & my truck is still hard to stop!

I recently had to have new brakes I got an advertisement in the mail for, Budget Brakes.I went to Chattanooga,Tn it was the closest one. I was greeted by a young man named Koty, he was very nice and pleasant . They got to work on my car right away. They have a clean shop, everyone was very helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I plan to return soon to have another problem taken care of. I will recommend them any time I get a chance to .

Prompt service was only one there waiting area was nasty after the alignment truck drove awesome would go back again

I paid about $1000 for a full brake job which I thought was too much. 2 days later one brake fell apart and I almost hit a car. They fixed it and refunded me a little. 8 months later and 25000 miles they wanted to change the back rotors and Turn the front and charge me $300 more. I don’t trust them and will never go back.

I made an appointment yesterday for today and arrived here early just to be sitting in my car because the place is closed. I received an email confirmation and everything because I need my brakes done badly and now I have to drive back on the opposite side of town just because no one had the decency to call and let me know that you were closing early. Thanks a lot for your lack of courtesy and professionalism.

NEVER GO HERE!! They are discourteous, arrogant and rude! Uneducated, ignorant and untrained! They couldnt even do a simple computer scan. Illiterate. Literally. False advertisement! Unprofessional. Says they are ABS experts on website and in add but were dumbfounded when I brought up my ABS issue said they dont do ABS! They were extremely rude to me and tried pushing me out the door. I will never go back!!!!

They do a great job each time I go there! I never have to go back after a job because each time the job is done correctly. The men are educated about all the work they perform. Five Stars for the work and the manager!!!

When an accident in front of me kept me from making my appointment time, I called to notify Budget Brakes of Chattanooga. They assured me they could get my car serviced when I got there, and do it without making me wait longer than if I had been on time. Then they thanked me for helping them get someone else on the hoist. The service was excellent, costs were exactly as indicated in advance, and they got me back on the road as promised. I had an issue where my breaks were grinding, and I surely thought I would have to have not only the break pads replaced, but also my rotors and possibly more. Well, I sent my vehicle to Budget Brakes, and when I received my quote that they would be able to resurface my rotors at no cost and that the only thing to be replaced was just the 2 back break pads. I was ecstatic! For an amazing price, might I add. I couldnt believe it, and to top it off a gentlemen that was working the front desk by the name of Michael helped me through everything. Went to get an estimate on brakes i honestly was not sure if I even needed them or not.. He gave me another persons paperwork with an estimate on it... And said it would be the same amount anyway... Just wanted money from me is what it felt like no real knowledge of what was right or wrong for my car.

2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, 280K miles. Inspection revealed some $800 worth of recommended repairs. Explained to manager that just need front pads stay safe for a few more weeks til trade-in time. He understood, abandoned the up-sell, found me a coupon, and sent me on my way with great service and new brake pads for $100 including tax. Best. Service. EVER. Highly recommend!

Told me the Truth about my vehicle...

Visited the store yesterday and had an awesome experience. Michael was was super nice on the phone and behind the counter once I arrived. After inspection, Michael took the time to show me the condition of my brakes and made recommendations for repair. He didn’t try to up sell me stuff I didn’t need. In fact, we found the most economical way to get what I needed done to fix my van. Service was super fast and done without issue. My van felt like new again after the repair was completed. I highly recommmend this shop for anyone that needs brake work.

Im from NY. I came here on vacation. My brakes started grinding. I walked in budget brakes panicked. The staff calmed me....did a diagnostic....and fixed my car. Fast service. Felt like they tried to sell me on things i did not need because I am a woman. Thankfully I know enough about cars to know a bushing on a swing arm doesnt effect my transmission changing gears. But they did a good job changing my breaks and roters.

Don’t go here, but if you do, take your tool box with you. All my lugnuts were left loose on all 4 tires, my right caliber and the hardware falling off, and they even loosened my front bumper and it was hanging off going down the interstate.. I got all this after paying $330. I understand the mechanics made a mistake, I’m not upset at them at all. My biggest issue is trying to get a refund and having to deal with CORY-the “supervisor” and “customer service department”. He is the worst!! He has been so rude and unapologetic that I and my family could have been killed going 70 mph down the interstate. Currently, I’ve been waiting over 2 weeks for a refund check and I’ve called 3 times and all 3 times, I’ve had to speak to this RUDE and INCOMPETENT supervisor. He apparently didn’t send the email to corporate to get my refund check initiated, so I have to keep waiting, but that’s my problem. Right Cory? He told me on my first phone call to him “we will refund your money, but don’t be coming back here for service”. Trust me Cory, I won’t!!!! You need to be fired. You’re a terrible representation of this company.

I had an overhaul of my brakes as I tow a boat and camper frequently. The job was done to my extremely high expectations and in a timely manner. I did not have an appointment and they got my vehicle in very quickly to begin the work. I had top of the line brake pads installed and a front end alignment. I am very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them to anyone needing trustworthy work done on their vehicle!

This place DID NOT PUT MY CAR BACK TOGETHER CORRECTLY. I’m assuming it’s because I didn’t want them to fix everything that was “wrong” with my car. Turns out not everything they said was wrong, imagine that. THEY LET ME DRIVE HOME WITH MESSED UP BRAKES WITH TWO CHILDREN IN THE CAR! I had front brakes when I went in. When I left, no front brakes! Terrible. Absolutely awful.Never again will I go here. I would never want anyone else to go here either.

Skip this one, not honest and they tried to overcharges me and they did, not happy at all of the service, the brakes doesn’t work well and lots of red dust on tiers, and the alignment wasn’t right ( tires was brand new).USE DIFFERENT SHOP

Jeff, the man at the front desk was very honest with us about the issue, we thought it was the brake pads but it turned out to be something totally different and we had to get the brake caliber replaced due to damage from a missing screw... He showed us the damage. We did not have all the money we needed to pay for the repair but he worked with us and discounted the price 45$. I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back!

I have used Budget Brakes on Brainerd Road numerous times with different vehicles and they have always met my needs with great service and a military discount.

1st place this shop is very clean Inside and out and I love this place they fix my car at a far price they pulled me out in the shop and showed me whats wrong I highly recommend going here manger and everyone is very nice never had a issue with my car since the technicians got the job done fast and good they pulled my car in and racked it and took the tires off and explain everything to me and gave me a couple options to get my car fix

The guys that work here are wonderful. I had to have brakes and rotors put on my car and I got there right at closing. They were so nice and stayed late to finish the job. They made me feel much better about the money I had to spend and took the time to explain everything to me. Being a woman, most places treat you like you have no common sense and try to take advantage of you. They were exceptionally kind and really took their time working on my car even though it was way past closing. Thank you guys for helping and I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing car repairs!!!

They gave us an estimate for 500 and $600 because one of the rotors was just absolutely wore out it was going to have to be replaced anyway but besides that the brakes all the brakes had to be changed so I could get home about to break down and put the rotor on and everything seems to be fine and I did it for about I think it was about $400 but I got those ceramic I had some of the best on the market makes very little dust stops on a dime.

The guy at the counter was nice, but what took place is what made me unhappy. For a brake work I thought was going to be less than 115.00, turned out to be really expensive. I believe I had other work done that was not needed. But because I am ignorant to what a car needs when it comes to brake, I was easily bamboozled by unnecessary services. My dad told me I was taken advantage of. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Nice customer service. Its just not nice on the pockets. And just to think that other places would have done the job cheaper, even my dealership.

Just left the Brainerd location was very happy Jerry was very nice and professional and honest.I will return for future car repairs.

Had my brakes done and they did a decent job. So I went back to them (Hixson) to do an alignment on my truck. I just got new tires and it was pulling to the left. So I asked them to do an alignment. They did. Turns out the problem wasnt fixed. It was an issue with my tires. (I thought at first) so I put newer tires on and it was still pulling to the left and the steering wheel wasnt centered. So I took the truck back to them and they at first couldnt find my name until I told them I have receipts. Then miraculously, they found my name and all my info. So, they put it up on the rack and told me there wasnt anything they could do to center up my steering wheel. He (the tech) tells me that the machine says its straight, but my steering wheel is steel not straight and I can tell that my right tire is angled out to the right. I honestly think the machine needs to be calibrated. Its not fixed and because I stood my ground and was upset about it. They call the police. Yet it still isnt resolved. I paid them to do a job that they never did correctly and now they dont honor the warranty. Hixson Budget Brakes is terrible. Maybe I will have better luck with the one on Brainerd. Unless its the same owner. Either way, they have to honor their warranty.

I came in knowing I needed brakes, but thought I might have other issues once looked at. I was right, but I was given options and they explained they whys and hows. No pressure at all. Budget brakes? Thats a joke! They warned almost $600 for a brake job I could have done myself in a couple hours. They lie through their teeth!

I had my brakes replaced today, I was highly disappointed in the $15.30 shop service fee which was unannounced to me and when I brought it to the attention of the manager he had no explanation or any consulting about the unethical fee. This will be my first and last time with budget brakes. I would not recommend this service to anyone. What a sham! Its not the money that I had the problem with it was the fact of the matter that the didnt even tell me that the charge until the service was completed.

Do not expect to have an honest quote for the services provided. I asked for a quote to have my rear brakes replaced a day before the work was to be done. I was asked to give the make, model and year of my vehicle to be able to give me the quote, so I did. They quoted me $89.99 plus tax. When the vehicle was brought in the next day they gave me a different price and charged me $300 and was told that the earlier price was just the starting price. Either taxes have jumped over night or these guys are liars. Why ask for the make model and year to provide a quote if your not going giving an honest quote. I will not do business with Budget Brakes again

The service was fast end good customer service. My issues is not a month after spending over 300 my brakes are making the same sounds end tires are covered Im brake dust. What did I pay for. I not pleased Brainard Budget Brakes.

Called the shop and asked how much to replace front brakes.. was told 79.99. Showed up around 3 and they took it in and took all the wheels after being told several times that only the front brakes replaced. And was not finished until 5:15. In the end it cost me 115. The mechanics bounced back forth between job instead of completing one at a time. Will not be returning

If I dont have time to do it myself Ill take my vehicles here, I do have shop close to my home but they are a bunch of idiots at that shop off of Hixson pike........just rather drive and let Jeff & his crew take care of things for me. My friend went to Budget Brakes suspecting trouble. After an inspection it was found that nothing was wrong and nothing was charged. I was impressed so when I had brake trouble, I went there. I was shown that there were multiple issues and it was clearly explained. Everything was taken care of for a fair price and I left feeling good knowing that things were done right.I should mention that the day before I had mistakenly gone to a place down the street and I was given an estimate $500 higher. Ouch! Glad I dodged that bullet! Budget Brakes is my go to place now.

Excellent price for a normal brake job which are replacing pads or shoes, like most Automotive centers theyre going to try to sell you more than what you originally came in for thats just the nature of the business

Where did the manager go? My mom took her car in to have a squeak checked out and they wanted to sell her stuff unrelated to the noise.She is on a fixed income and cant afford a bunch of stuff that might be wrong.She took her car down the street and they said it was noisy pads due to the weather.Shame on you Budget Brakes you have lost my familys business.The other manager was always honest and only sold us what we needed .

Had to stop by budget brakes part of the way through an 8 hour trip when we had a break issue outside of Chattanooga. Staff was friendly, service was quick, problem was fixed. Price was fair. All things considered could not have asked for a better outcome.
