The Second Yard is THE place for quality and fine fabrics in Charlottesville! The place is a treasure trove of goodness! The staff are all really friendly and true professionals! This place is a go-to, for interior designers and home makers alike! In addition to the fabrics, they also have furniture and art work, and, great wallpapers!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff...Over the years, I’ve made many purchases from them. Beautiful fabrics for upholstery that last, occasional furniture, lamps, picture frames, wedding gifts and I’ve purchased 3 sofas from them!I think one key word for them should be “QUALITY”.

The Second Yard has an impressive amount of upholstery and heavier weight fabrics. Also lots of sample books to peruse. The owner? Manager was very knowledgeable and helpful. The shop itself in an old historic building was facinating to wander through. A very interesting visit!

They have a sizable selection of good quality and well curated decorative items as well as lovely fabrics. They were also kind enough to let me take a few decorative pieces home to try in the space before finalizing the sale-great customer service.

Fantastic Store...I live about 90 min away, but its well worth the ride. They have so much stuff to choose from.

The worst service ever. They took one month longer than I was promised to ship my fabric and to make my curtains. MOREOVER, when I finally got my curtains, they were made in a different style than I ordered and in much less fabric than I ordered! HORRIBLE PLACE! I will be complaining in BBB!
