I was doing a one-day overnight trip to VA from NYC for my great grandmothers Memorial. Our tire went flat in the loaner car we were using for the trip. They were one of the very few repair stores open on Sunday and they patched up the wheel within an hour and a half. I still cant thank them enough. Excellent customer service and very friendly.

Wow, what exceptional service at this location today! I was headed towards Charlottesville on a long drive back to NC when my tire inflation warning light came on. Realizing I had no gauge with me, and after a misguided attempt at inflating the tires at a gas station, I passed this NTB, backtracked, and pulled in. Very kind manager Chad offered to check all tires and suggested we pull off one suspect tire and check for possible puncture. Turns out there was a tiny sliver of a staple or other metal causing a very slow leak. My tire was patched and I was on my way in no time! A high five to the lovely young woman mechanic who helped me on the first week of her new job. What a crew! I drove away with all this assistance free of charge (what?) and even a shiny new tire gauge. Thank you, thank you to the team at NTB Hwy 250 Charlottesville — I made it home safe and sound because of you!

We found a screw in our tire that was causing a leak while we were emergently transferred to UVA for our newborn with a life threatening heart condition. Chad was able to squeeze us in despite being booked for several days to help us out as we needed our car to get back and forth from our hotel to the hospital. I made an appointment for an inspection, but when I walk in, they tell me that they dont do those services Saturdays. And Ill have to leave my car there for at least two days until maybe theyll get to it. Whats the point of an appointment if its only to drop off my car, which I need every day? And why allow me to schedule for when they wont do an inspection?

I was stranded after the emergency brake on my truck malfunctioned on a Saturday night. The tow truck driver dropped our truck off here and they got us in first thing in the morning despite not having an appointment. We were able to get back on the road headed home and they didn’t charge us for the full time.

Hadnt bought tires or anything here but with this experience it was worth 5 stars. I had a tire come apart and needed 2 tires put on asap, I called at 6:30 on a Friday, I already had the tires...(so its my fault that my tire came apart for waiting too long 🤦🏾‍♂️) so they said they could stay open past their hours and put them on. So thank God they were able to help me out!

Tire Pressure Light came on even though I had filled the tires up so I gave a call and Jeff was quick to offer lots of solutions! He had me come in and helped not only solve my tire pressure problem but showed me how to help fix the issue myself in the future. Overall, the staff was super helpful and I would definitely recommend.

Great prices on slow leaks, rotation and balancing. Actually told me alignment was good and didnt do or charge me for an unnecessary alignment.

On our way to Luray from Richmond for a Thanksgiving weekend camping trip, the studs that hold the lugs of one of the trailer tires sheered off on 64. We had the camper towed here and arrived just 1 hour before closing. These men worked 1.5 hours past closing to get us back in the road and heading off to our campground. We are so grateful for their expertise and kindness to help us out past closing. We highly recommend them and could t speak more highly of their employees.

I showed up on a Sunday morning on my way home to Raleigh needing a new tire to replace my flat fast! Chad was extremely helpful and they even happened to have a pretty rare low profile sized tire I needed for my Mazda. He got my car on the wait list and even let me leave and go check out of my hotel without bumping me to the back of the line. The mechanic had my tire on within 20 minutes of pulling the car back and even put my spare back in its place. Very friendly. Great work. Thank you!

DO NOT GO HERE!! I had one nail in one of my rear tires and they refused to patch. Told me I had to replace two or all 4 tires. New vehicle. Not even 15k on the car. Mind you this was in the middle of a snow storm and I just needed to make it back home and they tried to rob me instead. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Whatever the price of a tire you buy make sure you have an extra thirty forty bucks because of the tax and disposal fee other than that they do a great job

Chad and the gang were amazing! I was referred there after being told that my car battery was too difficult to change by another national chain nearby. They took great care of me and did it in half the time quoted (1hr service took 30min). Overall, great experience and I highly recommend their services.

We had a last minute tire emergency on our way to the airport - Chad was such a huge help and was able to get a new tire on our car in less than 30 minutes! Very friendly and speedy service!

They are prompt and do a good job with a clean oil change, which is good. It might be a few dollars more than some other places, but also less than some others. The real issue is the little things you will miss - no airing up tires, no quick vacuum, I have not checked yet but would be surprised if fluids were topped off. Overall, since an oil change itself is basically the same everywhere, the lack of these little things without being at all cheaper makes NTB a poor choice.

Dropped in from out of town to get a rattle looked at. It was the end of the day on a weekend, and yet Dustin and his crew got my car inspected and confirmed there was no problem - even told me about the tire pressure and state of my brake pads for good measure. When I left, the rattle was gone (guess it was just a rock). Best part: the inspection was free. Terrific customer service, and would give them my business again.

Wooo I am so encourage about the friendly staff, that goes beyond their service duty for sure. I got a screw on my car tire and I was 3 hours away from home and tough it was closing time, Sunday 4pm, they stayed until 5:30pm to help me with my dilema. I am Very grateful for how they took care of me. I promised I will give them a review and is a pleasure to do so. Great skills from front desk to mechanic skills. Very fortunate to have people like them caring for your car needs.

I stopped in at 5 minutes before closing on a Sunday in hopes they would help with a tire that was losing air. They brought me right in and found the puncture, patched it and had me back on the road in 20 minutes! And the nice fella that helped me, I think his name was Jeff, wouldn’t even let me pay him! This place is great. I’ll be back!

Con artists. Cant trust them with a flat tire.The lobby is really nice, clean, high tech and impressive. The customer service was terrible, the staff were very unprofessional and very fake. Prices were actually alot higher than the competition, and I dont think they even tried to fix the problem.My passion is fixing cars and motorcycles. Most of my spending money goes to parts and expert labor. I never would have come to a place like NTB but it was a Saturday, a simple job, and I needed it done right away. Also, University tire was booked for the day.So I called NTB right across the road. I have a tire that got some debris in the bead from a bit of unplanned off-roading, dont have access to a tire machine anymore or time to use hand tools, can you pop it off and clean the bead? Today?They said they would, I was there in about 5 minutes. Waited 20 minutes while the two employees in the lobby told me it wasnt their job and then actively ignored me. Finally the guy came back and took my info. Said it would be $22 to reseat, actually very reasonable.I gave him my number and he said he would call me when it was done. Carpooled to a lunch spot and waited for the call. Three hours later I came back to pick up my car and head to work.The guy came out, said the bead was ruined and it couldnt be reseated. The tire was on the rim, looked exactly the same. No explanation why that took them 3 hours.Ive had tires actually popped off the bead entirely from doing donuts on gravel, set right back on and hold air for years. This one was still in place and held the car off the ground for almost two hours! When we picked it up, there was still visible mud and dirt between the tire and the rim.I took it to another shop, and they set it back on no problem. In a lot less than three hours. (See photo)Went back and showed the service manager. He was polite and friendly as he swore he personally watched the tech clean everything and even buff the wheel, and they did their very best to fix the issue. Im sure that isnt true. (I could have done it better myself with hand tools...)They were extremely dishonest and very tacky. The guy was like a used encyclopedia salesman from the government...It looks like a very professional shop, but its clear thats only a facade. The big sign that says Were the same shop, with the same people just sudenly changed our name for no reason makes alot of sense now.They swear they couldnt possibly have been trying to fool me into buying new tires because we dont make money off selling tires which is clearly false. Everyone else does, and they arent even called National Tire. Its a tire shop. Thats what they do, sell and install tires.They are either totally incompetent, totally dishonest, or more likely both.Cant even trust them with a flat tire...Definitely wont be back.

I try to do as much of my own repairs as I have the gear for. For tires and anything I cant, I bring my car here. Chad and the gang know me by name and are always super helpful in getting me in and out so I can get on with my day. Theyve done right by me on all tires Ive bought and Ive almost never had to wait overnight for work.

Took my car in because the front two tires were low all the time. They checked it out and there was no leak but there was corrosion that they cleaned off free of charge. Great service very kind and helpful!

I had a tire replacement and wheel alignment done at NTB. It was easy to schedule the appointment and took less than an hour and a half. Everyone was very kind and the lobby was very clean. The free WiFi was great for basic internet use! All staff were wearing masks and gloves. The tires look and feel great! Thank you so much and I will be back for future service!

Came here for tires last year after my dealership gave me a ridiculously high quote for the same stock tires that came with the car. Chad at NTB helped me find the best possible tires for my car, then added in every possible coupon and discount, so I got way better tires at about $200 less than the dealership had offered.Since that visit, I have continued to come to this location any time I need anything at all for my car, and every time has been a positive experience. Once, when they did not have my rear wiper blade in stock, they had it brought over from their warehouse. That day I was just a walk-in and was willing to come back, but I was taken care of in less than 20 minutes.Best service in town and Chad really knows how to keep his customers coming back. 10/10 for Long St. NTB!

My car had to be left for a few days, but I prefer that a good job be done over a quick one. The squeak coming from my tires was determined to be an issue with my rotors, and they were replaced. I was offered a discount on replacing a part that was leaking coolant, because they decided it would be better for me to be on the road than just to be leaving it as is. The coolant line needed to be replaced after I had left (as it had blown a major leak from the newly-improved pressure) but they switched it out for free. Awesome job overall!

What a lovely experience! I chose NTB because they had the tires I was interested in (Yokos) on sale and appointment availability. I am new to the area so was trying NTB out for the first time. One of the most impressive things to me was that I had the opportunity to interact with three different employees and each one was knowledgeable, clear in communication, patient, and kind. They were all honest, they didnt try to sell me services I didnt need or charge me for services I didnt need (even when I inquired about them!). So far, so good with the tires, too! I would recommend going to this NTB location to anyone and plan on returning for services. Kudos to the team!

Grease all over the inside of my car following an oil change. Never again.

Took 4 wheels in there to get them balanced and they did but when 1 of them didnt balance out, they just figured the wheel was bent and didnt even think to break the bead on the wheel, spin the tire on the rim and re-balance it. Took that rim to another shop in town and they broke the bead, spun the tire, and re-balanced the tire on the rim. Balanced perfectly!!! Manager sounded shocked when I called him and told him what I did after I left there...

Chad was so kind and welcoming. Going into any auto shop can be nerve wracking and he made the experience perfect. Knew me by name when I came back to pick up my car! Thanks Chad!

I took my flat trailer tire in for repair. Its a heavy tire, but the service manager personally took it out of my SUV and had it checked out. Turned out the tire was not damaged so they resealed it on the rim and checked again for leaks. Within a few minutes the tire was back in my car and there was no charge. I highly recommend these guys for their professionalism and courtesy.

I needed my car inspected after moving to Virginia and a few people had recommended going here. The staff was great and everything about the place was nice. They seemed to only be interested in helping me not just making a profit. I will be going back next time my car needs some work.

Service was done pretty fast, and the man that rang me up went out of his way to find a better promotional discount to add onto the ticket. Only reason Im putting four instead of five stars is because they didnt reset my ECM so my vehicle still shows the service warning, slightly annoying but not a big deal.

We were out of town on vacation and got a flat. After replacing the tire with a spare we wanted to replace it with a full size tire to make sure we made it home. After calling to service centers around us it was worth the drive to come to NTB! Jessica made us feel very comfortable on the phone and re-assured us that we would be taken care of AND WE WERE! When showing up they had notes in regards to our call, serviced us immediately even though they had scheduled appointments, and sent us on our way all within a half an hour. They truly saved the weekend!

We had troubles on our trip home and NTB was one of the few places open on Sunday. They looked at our car right away. Ive been here twice for tire replacement and dealt with Sarah and Chad. The service was exceptional, the prices were great, and when I called in about inquiries, I spoke with Jeff who was also fantastic. It wasnt just with me- I heard them on the phone with other people and they were wonderful and Professional with them as well. They truly go above and beyond.

These guys literally fixed my flat tire for free on the snowy day. Talk about honest car service. Just a bunch cool guys who do cool stuff. Don’t hesitate to take your car there.

I dropped my car off for an inspection at the morning and confirmed with the attendant the car would be ready by 5pm. As promised, I came after work to pick my car up around 530 and they hadnt even touched the vehicle yet. I didnt receive so much as an apology for the delay, just a shrug from the attendant and an excuse from the front-desk staff that they were very busy.The service was fine, but the customer service needs improvement - at minimum a phone call or at least an apology would have been appreciated. Ive been here more than once before to get my car serviced, but this will definitely be my last visit - Ive yet to have a good or great service experience.

Just when you need them...they pick up the phone and hang up on you 3 times. I could hear the lobby sounds in the background.Probably a phone issue, but it seems customer service issues dont get fixed nowadays unless you post something on social media.

My son blew a tire on his way home from College in the middle of the night on Tuesday halfway through his seven hour trip, and managed to get the car to a gas station on Rt 250. At 0700 he called the NTB on Long Street when they opened and spoke to Chad who told him that they didnt have any appointments because of the holiday rush, but that they would work him in because he was traveling. Well, it was hard to tell that he didnt have an appointment based on the way he was treated! They were able to get him on the road in just a couple of hours and only took $20 to fix the tire (which hadnt been mounted right by a tech that TireRack sent us). My hats off to Chad and all the hard working professionals at NTB! Its great to see a shop that really puts customer service first!

I had a screw stuck in my tire and didnt want to drive the 3 hours back home with a possible blow out looming. Called AAA and they referred me to this store because they were open on Sunday. Staff was friendly and super speedy. Nice waiting room. Reasonable price. I was on the road again within 30 minutes. Made it back home safe and sound so they must have fixed it right. I took my car in for an oil change & received excellent service. There was a nice waiting area with ample room & free coffee. One of the service men came in to warn me that he was going to start up a vehicle that didnt have a muffler so that I would not be startled by the noise. This was very respectful of him to warn me. I have never had anyone in other facilities to do this. They care about their customers.

I was given a Sunday appointment for a tire change, but when I arrived, they did not have the tire. I had driven into town on a spare, not feeling terribly safe. The place seemed disorganized and no one had asked on the phone for tire information. Not at all like the old Merchants. Would not recommend this business any longer.

Jeff and the crew at the Charlottesville location were all absolutely phenomenal. We had a flat that took over 50 minutes for AAA to arrive and replace with a spare, we called NTB when we were 2 minutes away, and put the pressure on by explaining that we are in a wedding in 4 hours that is 2 hours away... and we have the bride. They were able to change all 4 tires and do an alignment in under 50 minutes. We are so very thankful to this team and would highly recommend their service and comic relief. Thank you so much!

Miracle workers! Came here to get a tire patched. They saved our holiday road trip.

Horrible experience. Went to install a crankshaft position sensor in a Civic (15 minute job). They estimated me 2.6 hours. When I showed up 2 hours later my car was sitting in the lot. No one had called me to say it was done, who knows how much longer they would have pretended to be working on it. Charged me for 1.5 hours. Again, this was a 15 minute job. I was in a pinch, so I had to do it, but if you have any other choice then go with that.

Had a tire low in pressure and went to closet tire dealer and was told they could not fix the tire until next day. The person did not even offer to put air in the tire. Went to NTB and they could not work me in either that day, but the manager did immediately offer to put air in the tire until I could get back next day for them to fix the tire.
