I like the store itself, I usually find nice glassware and decor...but the staff is not all that friendly or helpful. Also, they rarely budge on a price. Ive been eyeing the same piece of furniture for 6 months and its still way overpriced.

Lots to look at. Had an allergy attack while in the store from something that was there. Needed to leave quickly.

I love this place they a small back room and its like a treasure chest to me. All types of used high quality stereo equipment I go in at lease 3 times a month. Now that my secret is out Ill be in once a week.

A lot of hit and miss with mostly misses. Sometime you can find some real treasures, but it’s hot and stuffy in there and very cluttered which can make even moving around to see things difficult. But some of the most unique pieces I have, I bought at Circa, and I drop by regularly to go hunting for treasure!

Great antique and consignment store located in Charlottesville Virginia. One of my favorites, they always have great deals and friendly staff. If you need reasonably priced lightly used furniture this is the place. Also youll always leave with a quality item. My personal favorite is there selection of antique carnival glass and old silver. First class shopping experience for everyone.

This might be the most sprawling antique shop Ive ever been in. I came here just to browse for a bit and honestly in an hour I feel like I saw a fraction of their goods. From furniture to glassware, art and guitars. There was hardly anything they didnt have a little bit of if you like old stuff. Definitely worth looking especially if you want some large furniture pieces of which a lot of space is taken up by.

Easily my favorite recycled furniture store anywhere. I live just a few blocks away, but I have to stay out because I dont have room for more. An absolutely spectacular place to browse. Get the delivery option, its worth it. Great service, fantastic stock, and great atmosphere.

Such a cool store. Its sort of organized by categories but youll have to go into many separate rooms that are not connected to see everything they have to offer. They have A LOT of stuff so it takes a great deal of patience if you go there with something specific in mind.

Best second hand furniture shop in cville. Youre guaranteed to walk out with something! The prices are very fair to inexpensive particularly considering the quality of most of the items. I love this place!

I have shopped here for years, spent hundreds of dollars in this store, and not ONCE has an employee greeted me when I walk in. I usually forgive it because they often seem busy. Today, however, I walked in 15 minutes after opening and was clearly the first customer of the day and the only one in the store. The employees were chatting at the cash register and turned to look as I opened the door. They looked at me and every single one of them looked away without saying a word. Not only that, but I passed several of them as I was browsing and they all walked past me without speaking.I’m not expecting them to bend over backwards or anything, but how hard is it to say Hello when someone walks in your store?

Best place to find vintage decor in not so cheap price but if you are into the vintage decor little pieces, go for this place.

Circa is an amazing store and a staple of Charlottesville. Id say about half of my furniture comes from them and I love em. The prices are really good but reflect the quality of the products.

Youll find lots of odds and ends at a good price. Completely interesting and many many rooms to go through. Have fun!

I use to think Circa was cool; you could find some interesting things there, but their customer service has always been lack luster. I thought they were a little aloof when I purchased some items; no thank yous - no smiles, but that was nothing compared to how i was treated when I went there to sell them things. I brought in some boxes, most of which they bought from me. The inspectors whispered to each other right in front of me so I couldnt hear what they had to say. How unprofessional is that? Then they they gave me a box back. The girl said her customers were not interested in Junk and even put the boxes down so she could air-quote Junk....I was pretty offended. And, sorry, but there;s plenty of junk in that store. They advertise they sell unique items and you should buy from them so your home doesnt look like everyone elses home full of box store items. When I brought in some some dressers with matching beds and nightstands, heavy wood furniture, mind you; I was told we dont want any of that. I said but you have things like this in your store right now and I was told they said they are getting away from older items. They bought two items from me: A small island on wheels and and a little table; both items purchased at Target! Is that your policy to be rude and intimidating to your customers? Two times there to sell and two times they were rude as h*ll to me. I wont be back.

Splendid antique/junk/thrift store! I have been shopping there for many years and it is one of my favorites. Most prices are pretty good. Merchandise is constantly changing… you never know what youll find. Also, the Habitat Store is just around the corner, so I make sure to hit both whenever Im in CVille. If I have one complaint, its that the owner doesnt wheel and deal. She prices things to sell and usually wont budge. I enjoy a little haggling. Other than that, Circa is a bargain hunters dream!

I love, love, love Circa. I have to limit my visits, only because I want to buy everything in the store lol. One of my favorite places in Charlottesville! My grandpa was an antique fiend and the store reminds me of him.

Imagine a museum with interesting stuff in every possible square inch, its all for sale, and at surprisingly decent prices. Thats Circa, only with three large rooms just about anything. Prices were much lower here than in the antique shops in Ruckersville!

I stop in every time Im in town, and usually walk out with something. Sometimes some old photography gear; the little closet with the musical instruments, camera, and radio stuff is hidden but a gem.The selection of furniture is always changing. Make sure you look through every building, as the main store with the register and staff is only the front and there is much more furniture and decor in the other rooms stretching along Allied Street.And if you need glassware, the two-for-a-dollar corner is great for starting a serving set.Past finds Ive bought include; Sega games, some Leica 8 & 16mm film editing equipment, glass light box / projector combo, kitchen equipment including knives and a vintage Mouli grinder, glass stemware, random furniture, and some metal stamp blocks from old businesses.

When were in town, we stop here to look for great bargains. Please like my review if you found it helpful or informative.

Circa is pretty great. They really fulfill their mission of filling the void between junk stores and overly expensive antique malls. They have great vintage finds, and yes, sometimes those finds are expensive; but not nearly as expensive as some other vintage retailers. Herman Miller, Eames, Bertoia, etc are all popular and in demand (thanks Madmen), so yes, they are going to ask for a reasonable amount of money for those pieces. I dont think that makes them overpriced, I think it makes them a business.As long as you dont walk in there expecting to get really cool vintage pieces for the same price as crappy mass-produced press-board furniture youll be happy. Its hit or miss if youre looking for something specific, but theres always something interesting to look at.Its definitely worth checking out if youre in the area!
