I love this place! As a record collector, there arent many record stores remaining anywhere. So this place was a place that I just had to check out. They didnt disappoint.Very well organized store with a great collection of every genre. They have a great collection of used records as well as new releases.They also have other music mediums as well, such as CDs, cassettes etc.An overall great place to visit and truly a great place to walk down music memory lane.

Jimmy and his staff are always fantastic. Whether you are looking for the latest release, or a original copy of a masterpiece you can almost always find it here. Tons of cds and cassette tapes! 1 dollar bins, posters, slip mats and nostalgia hanging from the ceiling. If you are looking for equipment, you can find it here as well! Receivers, speakers, and lots of decks to choose from. Highly recommend you go check it out! Also, Repo is a RSD store as well! Jimmy is very knowledgeable and kind. Great selection, cool merch and awesome people

I have been visiting Repo for over 20 years, the employees and owner have always been great. Too many people are complaining about how the owner conducts himself, Ive never had any issues and think hes the most customer oriented owner in the business, you blue yuppies and millennials are just too thin skinned. Nice to visit a place with common sense in regards to the masks. I will always visit here when in the area.

Horrible customer service. I was bashed for wanting to use the bathroom and wearing a mask. We are in a pandemic with a new variant going around. Of course I will be wearing a mask. I want to protect me and the people around me. Maybe you should make that sign a little bit bigger buddy. Typical moronic republicans. The two gentlemen who own the place appear to live a lonely, sad life. As a betting man, I would firmly place a bet on the two of them being virgins. I know for a fact the other was. Keep your kids away from this place as well! I’ve heard through the grapevine that he tends to give younger children the “eye”

I brought in a turntable and speaker from 1986 and the owner spent over an hour with me rigging it and allowing me to listen to my vinyl again...very knowledgeable and patient.

Great place to find some classic 60s/70s Lps! I also picked up a vintage receiver from them the other day that has really elevated my setup. They have everything for your vinyl needs without any pretention or anything.

Wow, what a selection! Repo Records is a great place to come when fleshing out a classic vinyl collection. They have an extensive inventory of used albums, with a healthy amount of new mixed in. I couldnt believe the number of albums here! All used vinyl has been inspected and cleaned, so there are no surprises... And, pricing is very reasonable. Im now a faithful customer!

I have been in a few times, not often- maybe once or twice a year. Nevertheless, the owner and staff are always incredibly welcoming and friendly. I am an unfamiliar face, often in the presence of regular customers but still feel very welcomed and receive all of the help I need while browsing.I came in yesterday and purchased a Blink-182 album in cash- I will always remember the owners response when I asked if I could pay cash- Yes of course, you can come here and shop like a normal person. He probably didnt think much of the comment but it really made my day to know that he and our other local business owners are doing their best to keep up morale and give customers the best experience possible.I will definitely be returning in the new year!

Really nice selection. They have record needles and they picked out a good match for me. It works like charm. Good selection of players too. Very friendly atmosphere. They have new and used (mostly) music. I saw CDs and 8 track cartridges too. You should come check this place out.

I been going to Repo for years and with my daughter really into vinyl I get to go often. She had 4 must buy albums and I was assigned 2 of them.Got there early for Black Friday Record Day and had to wait in line but was well worth it. Good Music playing was staff was laid back awesome and Jimmy was Jimmy which is a good thing. He is incredibly knowledgeable so I asked him where to find the 2 I was assigned. Jimmy was quick and to the point.1 album was a UK release only the other was canceled off the record store day order but he had 1 copy from the original press. Jimmy took me straight to the album and I grabbed it.Went in looking for 4 albums walked out with 6.Thank You Repo Records

Newly into vinyl so starting to build my collection and this store was perfect. Had a good mix of new music with classics and easily could have bought 3-4x the number I did today. Will be back for sure!

Great place for used stereo speakers, receivers, turntables, and of course...Records! Really laidback environment, and the guys there are always of good service. If you are looking for overall good quality then Repo is where it’s at. If they don’t even have it in stock they will usually order it for you if obtainable over the web.

Awesome shop with a great selection. We took my daughter and her friend. We could have gotten lost in there for hours. Love the feel of the store and it was very well organized, no trouble finding what we were looking for. Owner was friendly. We will be back.

Had a great selection of vinyls and cds. But I would politely suggest the owner to work on his customer service skills. I think he should be more aware of his tone but otherwise a great store.My review was three stars but seeing his condescending response it has now lowered. Should definitely learn to apologize to his customers in the future and I did not need a vocabulary lesson. I hope everyday when you sit on my suggestion it hurts. Furthermore, I will not suggest this record store to anyone.

Bought a turntable and the young man was great to work with, and he was patient -we were inexperienced. The price was very reasonable and lower compared to other shop. The other gentleman was not as helpful in a subsequent visit. Maybe he was having a bad day, but that is why it is not 5 stars. Consistent customer service with a smile gets my attention more than not.

The guys were super helpful and knowledgeable. I was looking for a new player and they took the time to show me how to set it up and use it properly.... Not to mention it was a cheaper price than online. Also grabbed somewsome fun vinyl while i was there🙂Thanks again guys. Ill be back!

Great selection of all genre of music. Vinyl. CD. Cassettes. Along with refurbished stereo equipment.

They have everything organized so you can find what you want quickly. Their rock wall storage lets you see album titles quickly, no overstuffed bins like some other places.Picked up 3 used classic prog albums for under 10 dollars each. Condition of vinyl was excellent. I drove a bit of a distance but it was worth it. Ill be back.

The men at the front desk were very rude and got quite frustrated with us because we couldn’t hear them due to their mumbling. The store was very dirty and cluttered. Also, there was a sign on the front door saying that masks were not mandatory and the two men at the front were not wearing any masks either. Definitely better record shops in the area.

Very retro feel, great if youre about that. I kinda wanted to see a nod to the new century in here too, maybe some MIDI controllers or encouraging trinkets for aspiring modern music producers. But, certainly a go-to for what it is.

Stopped in to kill some time before a flight. One of the better record stores in the nation, honestly! Really great selection of all genres. Very fair prices and most used albums are graded on the sleeve cover. Grading is spot on. Talked with the owner for a bit and he told me a great story about sneaking in to a Bob Dylan concert. This is what a record store is supposed to be. Friendly, inviting, fair pricing, will definitely stop in when I’m in Charlotte again.

This place is awesome. Stopped by to by just one CD and ended up buying six. Clean neat and very organized. They even sale long play aka LPs or what some might refer to as albums.

This is by far the best record store I’ve been to! The owner is so fun to talk to, and he clearly cares about music and his store, and wants to share that passion with the customers! There’s an incredible variety of records and they’re all very reasonably priced! I’ve been to so many record stores that jack up the prices, but this is by far the most affordable and fairly priced store. You can find high end and rare records as well as a huge selection of discount dollar records! I made the mistake of going in the evening, and if he hadn’t been closing I could’ve easily spent an entire day in this store! I highly recommend Repo Record shop!!!

If youre looking for Beatles or Bowie or 45s, this is the place to go. 45s are always kinda hard to come by but this place has a good selection. My only gripe about this record store is that the times that Ive come in, the owner kinda seems to act like he knows more than his customers, which is fair considering that he does own a record store and the fact that he probably does know more, it just doesnt bode that well.

Yet another great experience at Repo! I purchased a sealed double album from the seller on-line. When it arrived only one of the records was included (obviously a quality control error at the record labels distribution facility). I brought the album in, and the owner replaced it without hesitation (both records were included this time, we checked). In my mind he didnt have to do this because it was a sealed album & the error wasnt his. He even apologized for the issue several times...again, unnecessary since it wasnt his error!Additionally, I love their hands-off sales approach. They say hello and leave the customer alone. Nothing worse that a sales person asking me a bunch of questions when all I want to do is look around and take in the experience. I am an adult, if I have a question...Ill ask! However, whenever I have had to ask them questions, the responses have always been genuine and helpful.Cant wait to see what gems I find on my next visit!. Thanks for the excellent customer experience!

The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. I went in with very little knowledge on audio equipment and they patiently answered all my questions, gave me different options depending on what I liked, and subsequently let me try out anything in the store before I purchased. The prices are excellent and they have a 14-day return policy on all equipment (New and refurbished). Not to mention, the best used LP collection in Charlotte!

WONDERFUL selection of new and used vinyl. Its in alphabetical order and reasonably priced. I got a Mandrill album Ive wanted for awhile for only $3. Most certainly will return.

I took a weekend trip to Charlotte and had never been, so I looked up a few record stores and went to them. Without a doubt, Repo was the best one, and I only had about 45 minutes to look before closing. I loved the way the store was set up; while it was different than most stores, it made it easier to find things, especially if you were on a time constraint like I was. I found quite a few things and I am planning another trip to Charlotte in the near future to be a repeat customer!

Found the CDs that I was looking for

Repo is my favorite record shop in Charlotte. The owner does a great job of incorporating new releases with the classics. Pricing is very fair and there a ton of vinyls for under $10, including a ton of $1 gems. It looks and feels like a mom and pop type store, not a corporate cookie cutter. If you are looking for something and they dont have it, they will try to order it for you. There may be other record shops in CLT, but this is #1.

Moved here from NY and one of the first things I did was visit all the record stores around here. Repo Records is by far the best. Great selection and knowledgeable staff. I have bought sealed and unsealed records from this store. I want to give them props because every unsealed record I bought ( 8 total ) was not VG+ as he states. They were much closer to VG++ and I am very picky. I for one am estatatic that I e got a great record store so close by. Great job guys!

I love Repo Records. The staff is helpful and the owner is always welcoming. I am always greeted which is rare in small businesses nowadays. Since I am a fan of older records (dont really believe in playing Drake or Rihanna on Vinyl), the associates always make me feel that much better about buying an older record by saying thats a classic or one of the greats. They are music buffs just as I am and are the reason my record collection is so extensive and diverse. Ill probably be there this weekend!!! Love you guys!

Everybody is awesome there, really knowledgeable and helpful. Finding the place is pretty easy, and I got a lot of awesome stuff. They have some great receivers, a huge selection of new and used albums, and the owner was really notable on his recordings. He steered me away from purchasing a new CD Master recording only to find me The originals, with Superior sound quality. Really a great place to go if you great place to go if you are in Charlotte
