Wasn’t able to place an order or open an account because I don’t buy enough material from them. When asked the price for the material, it was a lot more expensive than any other supplier I buy from. I wonder why people don’t buy “enough” material from you! Most overpriced place ever, taking advantage of small businesses forgetting that it’s small businesses that keep you from bankruptcy.

It had been a couple years since my last visit so I looked online to confirm the address and hours of 7:30a-4p, Mon-Fri. I arrived shortly after 3p and walked into an empty showroom. After a few minutes a man came down the stairs and asked what I wanted, and that they close at 3p. He pointed to a sign in the room showing NEW Store Hours, beginning APRIL 1, 7:30am-3pm. This was now July 9 and I told him it doesnt say this online. He asked what I was looking for and I said red oak. He then told me that as of October they werent doing retail sail of hardwoods!Miserable communications and public relations. A big disappointment given this is the legacy of Charlotte Hardwoods. I now refer to this corporate entity as Wurth-LESS Wood Group.My experience confirms the single-star rating of others.

They should rename themselves to Wurthless. Based on some of the reviews I decided to call first. I was told that yes, they were open to public, but certain types of lumber were reserved for contractors. When I got there, it was obvious that they only catered to contractors. You can place orders and pick up, sight unseen. At least in big box stores you can feel/pick and choose the material.Their so called showroom is just an oversized hole in the wall. If you are a hobbyist or woodworker, stay away. Big box stored are way ahead of these guys, across the board. Ill never go there again, even after lumber prices come back to earth and stabilize.

Called in advance to ask about Covid restrictions since that is what their Website instructed me to do. Was told to just wear a mask. Drove almost an hour to get there. Walked, went to go through the door to the Lumber area and was stopped by the counter person who said that due to Covid you can no longer go into the lumber area. Then they asked if I had a business account. I told them no, and they said they couldnt sell to me anymore and that their policy had changed due to Covid. Ok, can I fill out a form to start a Business Account? -> Answer was No, you have to do it online and it can take several days to process... This isnt making any sense at this point. Wake Up.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Large selection of products listed online. Small showroom with limited product samples and a small retail selection. Wood products are not on display in the store :( Otherwise a great experience

No more retail sales. You must have a business account in order to buy anything from this location. I have been here numerous times in the past to purchase various types of lumber and supplies. Due to covid-19 restrictions, there are no more retail sales. What an absolute joke.So sad that our country has come to this point. Off to Queen City Lumber for my supplies.

Worst customer service you can get. No one wants to help you. They could care less if they sell you anything. Looks miner is fine but service is worse than horrible.

Called and spoke to a guy named Lance and he was in a hurry... Told him I found a product on line and wanted to buy it...he told me that not all areas sell the same product. ??? What is this 1950? Its called shipping... When I said I just want to order it, I will need to speak to Baltimore...he was in North Carolina... He didnt know the product...he just wanted off the phone and told me I called an 800 # which I didnt. I called the phone number on their website. He then just mumbled something and sounded like he transferred me to a number and it just stopped ringing.Lance needs some customer service training. Called back and the phone rang 10+ times and a woman answered and was equally incompetent. Interesting to read some of their strong reviews... Good luck.

Always great service and fabulous lumber. The people will go the extr mile to help a customer. The available lumber is of high quality. I won’t go anywhere else to purchase my hardwood!

My purchases are tiny in comparison to many other clients and customers Im sure. But, even for my small business, the prices are reasonable and the staff is helpful and courteous. I just wish they were open on the weekends, even 4 hours on Saturday would be a major benefit. Other than that, I will continue doing business there.

I come here regularly for materials. The staff is always friendly, albeit busy. Some may not remember my name right off the top of their heads, however they always notice when Ive not been by for a period of time.If you know what you need, your visit can be short. If you need help locating or researching, call ahead, speak with someone first as the line at the front desk can get long (as in wait time). Its not a bad thing, they want to make sure you have or get exactly what you need.If you want service and quality YESIf you want Bulk goods and a Wal-Mart/Home Depot experience NO

Dont be in a hurry. Enjoy the old coffee and smell of sawdust. They have everything you need to build your own kitchen or furniture.

Went in to buy some plywood and lumber. was basically told i was in the way and would need to go to the front desk to make a purchase. the lady at the front desk was very little help. a forklift driver was very rude to me and did not offer any help. i will take my business elsewhere. there has to be a better place to buy than this place.

I worked there for 7 years . David is an awesome leader and visionary. Customer service is priority!! They will help you reach your goal! They are big here in Ontario Canada and Canada wide..big or small customers..they help you grow!!!!

They have a great variety of products, but only one cashier. So pack a lunch because youll be there for a while.

Best professional lumber company east of the Mississippi! They try and get to know you quickly and they do the best to help complete your project. Great prices, my sales guy is awesome, the warehouse guys are super cool and friendly and Illene remembers all repeat customers and treats you like fam. Only suggestion would be to get those lil french vanilla coffee mate creamer cups for the coffee...but thats bout it

Great selection of Plys and laminates. Account pricing is best, but even showroom price is better than competitors. Most hardware avaliable in house, or 2 day shipping. Our small cabinet shop would be hurting without Wurths great service.
