If I could give ColdStone a zero star rating… I would. They are the most selfish I’ve cream business I’ve ever experienced. They started losing me when I used to live in Durham and the prices went up to an unnecessary amount. THEN, last month (because I almost forgot to leave a negative review about this) I’m at this ColdStone in Charlotte, NC off Mallard Creek and I will never forget that they put a sign up that said “Not Mixing”You all don’t understand how mad I was and better be lucky I didn’t come inside just to fuss you out. My friend has just passed away THAT DAY, I had to go to a rehearsal that I didn’t want to go to, and I just lost my job. I was looking forward to that ONE thing (Coldstone) and you had the AUDACITY to put up a sign that says “Not Mixing”???? The laziness does NOT match the pricing. I’ll be going to Baskin Robins from now on

If I could give 0 stars I would. Placed an online order for ice cream with waffle bowls. Only to get home and open the bag to find out they gave us regular Joy Sugar cones that is easily found in any super market. I do not recommend this location.

Only if 0 stars were possible. I don’t know if it is the shift that was working or what. When our order was taken the lady did not even finish hearing the order before walking away to make it. This made me have to add multiple toppings and made the situation worse. I also did not get all of the toppings that came with my specialty ice cream. While paying, she was not even done with the customer in front of me before she was telling me my total and expecting me to pay at the same register. To top everything off, they are not cleaning the counters well at all between orders. My girlfriend is allergic to nuts and while eating she found a walnut. Like seriously, at least clean between the orders due to allergies.

The Ice Cream taste so delicious and was a very good Price. I would tell all my Family and Friends about this place....

Now I know who to avoid when I visit this location. I miss the days when they would give the extra ice cream they scooped to the customer instead of disposing it. Upon entering I was greeted, but I had to wait for one to finish their spoonful of ice cream from their personal stash. Thennnn they don’t even know recipe names like it’s not plastered throughout the store. Anyways I’m disappointed about my uneven ice cream

0 stars for this locationThe service is worstI asked for ours size Oreo overload and she first served literally halfway of the bowl size and when I asked that’s not ours size went back and filled with this melted ice cream and even didn’t top it up and was asking me for tip.When I asked her name to report to their manager or write a review she was really rude and told me that I’m not allowed ask there’s names.

Great customer service and they are always quick to fix any issues. Delivery is quick and ice cream usually has minimal melting. It might just be a problem with the website itself but when I order ahead I’m often double charged, but they will usually automatically cancel the second charge.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Place an order to find out... theres no ice to make a smoothie. A simple refund wouldve of been fine. Never that hard to do a refund. I understand the place is short staff. A refund took 30mins after agreeing to take a gift card since the workers there couldnt refund it back on my credit card; but still no gift card. It took me to switch places with my 17yr old to watch the 1 year old who has been sitting for 45mins; for me to rise hell to get a refund.Staffs are not completely trained properly to service customer correctly nor was there a manager in site/ by phone; who could help. Have to do better!!

I ordered an online delivery order and was delivered someone else’s food from American deli. I called this location to let them know and to see if my order could be replaced but the young lady on the phone was extremely rude and inconsiderate it once but twice when I called first call to ask for my order to be replaced and second time to ask for a refund. It’s going on 2 hours and I still have not been refunded but if I go up there and speak to her in person I won’t get the same disrespect in my face.

I went in this location with my family and KC advise that there was no waffle-cones made. I went In this location at 1:30 pm and there wasn’t one cone made . When I asked how long would it take to make the cones he advise it will take 10 mins. I agreed to wait and when I said I’ll wait for the 10 mins he then said no it would take 20 mins plus I would have to wait until it cools down . I felt like he just didn’t want to make it . Very unprofessional. I left with my family and didn’t make a purchase .

Theyre nasty... They dont wear hair nets or wash their hands. To top it off I found hair in my ice cream. Just trifling individuals. I would not recommend save your money.

Amiyah did a wonderful job decorating the cake for my twin girls’ high school graduation. I had no idea what to expect other than “Congrats class of 2020.” She wrote it out beautifully and went above and beyond adding two graduation caps and little chocolates that looked like diplomas! It truly made their day even more special! I knew she was overwhelmed with orders, yet she was sure to add those special touches. Thank you so much!! Blessings to you!!

The Cashier was Pleasant. She had trouble with my Coupon, (Buy one get one)she called the Manager who said You can use it another time. That you dont tell ANYONE w/a coupon. Ever!! Experience is needed to deal w/coupons. I love It.... Cold Stone Ice cream

This location is normally not this bad But, for some reason they think its a good idea to run out of all of the main flavors except chocolate, coffee and the fruit flavors at 7 oclock on a Sunday! Guess they dont like to make money

First visit to this Cold Stone. Doubt very seriously Ill return. It was filthy. Service was friendly however.

First, the ice cream was good. I wanted to wash my hands and the bathroom was closed. Then we asked for a napkin, and were told they are not allowed to give out napkins! They didnt even have hand sanitizer! But we had to wear a mask. So, eat your ice cream with dirty hands, but dont breathe on anyone.

Cold stone creamery is the adsolute best... however l have to give this location a low rating because it appears the owners have not put one single dime in the upkeep of this place. Ive been buying ice cream from here for over 10 yrs and Ive seen it go from nice to ragged. It can use a good, thorough steam cleaning. And, Im not sure why the workers dont use gloves but they need to when handling an order! I will not be going back until then because l just cant continue to overlook the dustiness, the rusted napkin holders, and unclean freezers etc. in this place anymore...

Same experience as one reviewer listed below . We walked in at around 7:45pm to receive ice cream doe two. Upon walking into the parlor, we weren’t greeted and just stared at as if we are the ones to be told and asked “Welcome to Cold Stone! How can we helpyou on today?”. Then when we uttered “How are you doing, the ice cream server began to speak. Not only was the customer service poor and terrible, there was no ice cream at all in the freezer to present the flavors. They had all of the ice cream stored in the “backfreezers” and retrieving customers requestsfrom the back as if we knew that the utensils had been cleaned properly. When the ice cream was being prepared with our toppings, it was already melted and barely contained a thick consistency as all ice cream should if it were stored properly. The lady who checked us out didn’t even ask if we needed a bag in which our ice cream melted in the car on the way home. It was not a goodexperience at this location and would have preferred to opt out spending money on the melted ice cream. This location needs a major improvement.

Awesome place but workers are not wearing mask at all but they are adhering to five people in the store at a time. One employee continued to talk over her customers ice cream as she prepared it.

How is it safe to sell product that is supposed to be at a specific temperature and it is clearly NOT! Your staff felt it was acceptable to serve product that was clearly out of temperature. I was shocked that they handed me product that was so melted it had the same consistency as water. You are going to make someone sick with these operating conditions. Is the health department aware you are operating with these conditions? Just because you have signs posted that product is little softer than normal - does not excuse food safety.

Terrible service. Visited 30 minutes before close on 10/11. Very unfriendly and inattentive staff right off the bat. Got our order wrong, my wife ordered a medium and got a small. We didn’t say anything because the employee clearly already had an attitude and seemed frazzled. There were two tables about two feet apart that I moved a few inches closer because there were four of us. As we’re leaving, an employee says (does not ask) to move the tables back for her. Will not be back.

I love cold stone but this location is a GHETTO shame. Ran by cluelesss teenage girls with the worst attitudes, horrible customer service. My ice cream was not made (blended) properly. The girl sprinkled pieces on top of my ice and scoop it back into my cup. When I complained and asked for it to be remade properly by someone else the three musketeers answered we don’t take ice cream back or remake it unless there’s a hair in it. As the other one answers we don’t use a blender....I guess she didn’t know her hands are the blender. Cold stone workers are commended on how well they make your ice cream creations seamlessly amazing. These workers are a disgrace to the company. Being that this ice cream is pretty pricey the least that can be done is your ice cream served properly. Management and higher ups need to re-evaluate this location.

Some of the best ice cream you can buy. Its always rich and creamy. Lots of flavors to choose from as well as tons of mix ins.they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The price is a little higher than most ice cream joints but its also superior food. The staff was very friendly.

In the middle of the afternoon today they were out of at least seven kinds of ice cream. No cookie dough ice cream! How is that okay?The windows and entry rug were filthy. If they keep the visible part of the store that dirty, I wonder how dirty the back part that customers can’t see is! 🤔

The Founder’s Favorite with coffee ice cream substituted for the sweet cream... delicious. They seem to be chronically out of pecans at this location. But the ice cream is heavenly and portions are huge. It could be a lot cleaner in my opinion.

I preordered a birthday cake and the whole experience was horrible. When I got there to pick it up at 5:30 it was not made at all. They told me to come back at 7:00pm. Once I got the home the came did not say Happy Birthday David and it was not red velvet. Very dissatisfied.

Ice cream is always good but there is clearly never a manager onsite. Today 2 teenagers walked from outside and walked behind the counter to ask “ can I help you”...hell no not without washing your hands first! When I asked him did he wash his hands, he went in the back instead of using the sink behind him. So we left and got ice cream elsewhere.

3 out of 4 of our orders were completed correctly however any item off the hot stone menu has to be watched because my order for a funnel cake was lost until I mentioned it to the personnel after I calmly waited for 25 minutes. Then they acted like they will make it for me and then offered it for free after all of my group was finished with their items. So no way am I going to make my friends wait longer and possibly lose another order. I understand things happen but come on.

Very disappointed with this location. I went in for a Founders Favorite and they had no pecans. This has happened before so I asked for almonds...no almonds either, only peanuts. Next, I ordered the Strawberry Blonde and they didnt have graham cracker pie crust. Why would you be out of so many food items when youre walking distance from the grocery store?

Awful service...Employees serve ice cream with long acrylic nails and no gloves.Also there was not a hair net in sight and it was quite dirty.The workers were also taking their time to joke around and chat. They also got the orders wrong multiple times because they rather not listen, walk away, and do what they want. It just seems like they care less and dont want to listen to the customer.The service is so terrible and it ruined my experience with this location.This isnt the first time and honestly youre better off going to another location, like the one down the road at concord mills mall.

Ive always loved coldstones ice cream but when I visited, although there was a line out the door, the employees not only were operating at turtle speed but they were also very unamused and disrespectful to their customers. What ever happened to service with a smile? All I got here was service with a scowl.

Ordered birthday cake for my daughters 1st birthday. Although we ordered in the last minute the cake was ready in 24 hours. Everyone liked the cake and it tasted awesome. Pricey but worth it.

I had such a bad experience last Sunday. The lady who served us the ice cream was so rude. I didn’t enjoy the customer service at all. My cone cup had black stuff on it so I ended up throwing the whole ice cream away.

Cold Stone is the best place in this part of Charlotte to get Ice Cream or a delicious dessert. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or just a treat for the kids.

My son and I went tonight for ice cream at 7:30. Unfortunately they had no more waffle cones made, and they were to be open until 10pm. So, knowing it only takes 2 minutes to bake a new cone (and from experience having worked at an ice cream store myself), I asked to wait while they cooked a few up. The three workers were not very busy yet said they didnt have any more tonight and would not entertain cooking one. I persisted, but finally got fed up and went to the concord mills location instead. This location is lazy! I wonder if the manager knows these workers are not satisfying customers. #disappointed- update - came again at 8:15 and no waffle cones again. Poor planning or lazy? Not sure which.

This location is very disappointing. Twice Ive tried to order ahead for a birthday and have issues getting ahold of anyone. Any time we go in theyre under staffed and under trained. If it werent for our love for the product we would avoid this place at all. We try to go to Concord more so as to not patronize this location. Really need to turn this location around.

I see why the average rating is a 3, I was understanding of the wait considering the line and only 2 people there working until another person, clearly off the clock and not in uniform, came out from the back to make themselves and their sister a cup of icecream.

I will NEVER come back here ever. There are two young people working and I wanted a cake. Asked the young lady who came out the back to write on the cake and she said her handwriting wasnt good. Um...ok. Well what about the guy right there, oh his doesnt know how either. Whattttt??? To this business owner, if you dont sell cakes when these two people are on shift then its because they WILL NOT write on your cakes. I ask. So, give me he took to do it, oh we cant give our stuff to customers. So, let me get this straight, you want me to pay for a high cake with NO writing. You can keep it. I walked out and will NEVER make the trip from Mint Hill again to buy anything from the Cold Stone. So, to future customers, go to a store where they will write on your cake. Dont waste your time because you will pay $40 for a cake YOU will have to write on....smh

Ice cream was good as always. Staff were young and immature, had friends coming in and hanging out, not purchasing anything and being loud. Bathrooms had no toilet paper and they had to send an employee to a store nearby to buy some.

Undernew management im hopeful they will hire new ppl. I went and received good service for the 1 time since pandemic.

The staff was nice enough, but the ingredients were old and stale. My Heath Bar topping was so old it was hard for the attendant to even get it out of the container.

Business closed 15 mins early (or more). Waste of a trip.

The nastiest cold stone i have ever been too. They don’t have any ice cream . I have been three time and every time i go it’s always somebody making waffle cones like they don’t always have a bunch stacked. They got 15 workers in the back but when i come they act like they are so busy. I think this place is owned and no franchise because there would be no way Corp would let this place continue to function the way it does. No uniform nasty nasty nasty nasty hate it . Would not recommend this place at all .

Update******Just left this horrible place again because my friend insisted we go even after my warning. And they were closed! Store hours stated 10pm and they were closed BEFORE 9pm! Horrible horrible horribleI Just left this location and when I got there there was no line so I was super excited. There was one nice young lady long black hair that was great who greeted us and helped us. I wish I got her name. Now the rest of the employees who were there hiding in the back doing nothing were very unprofessional and not helpful. I didnt want them to help me or be anywhere near my food. You all need to start the hiring process over. TODAY. I had a BOGO in my email that clearly stayed and had an expiration date of 7/28/2019. And the girl who rose from the back was not helpful at all! Even if she couldnt override it she was very rude. The other young lady was trying to get her to do something since it clearly said it was valid. But the elude one just kept mumbling how she wasnt going to help and just stared at me for payment. I started to leave the entire order there. The lady who greeted us saved you all from having to throw away our orders. I dont usually expect much from here because the staff is ALWAYS terrible. But today the rude one ( short afro blond tips) really irritated my soul! Please hire better people. Maybe stop hiring kids. I was going to ask for the manager but there never seems to be one there. Because if it was they shouldve been doing more to help the other girl out. Im not ever going back here. Ill just go wait in line at the mall. DONT GO HERE!!!!!

For as expensive as this place is for icecream youd expect that they would make you selection correctly. I ordered an item they have had on the menu for years and the kid put the wrong ingrediants in it and then told me I was wrong. A co worker corrected him, but not until after my like it was made. It was not as good as it should have been. Disappointed.

This location appears to be entirely staffed by subdued black teenagers. I had a hair in my ice cream one time. Theyre generally slow to move people through the line, and I watch in amusement as the employees fumble over and past each other while trying to use the tools and ingredients to assemble your order. Also, they appear to not be fundamentally aware of their top favorites because they also have to look at the board constantly when making something like an All Lovin No Oven or Germanchokalatekake. They should know all of these by heart, heh.The place is somewhat dirty and they keep two out of the three doors locked closed.. This is really dangerous and stupid.I have been here several times and the experiences havent all been bad. Most of the folks there are friendly and do a decent job.On my last visit I did notice 2 of the ladies not wearing hats or hairnets of any kind. This is a bit gross when you consider they are vigorously working directly over your food to smash it and mix it up.The franchise owner appears to be an absent one. I have never seen a manager on site in the evenings, either.I wouldnt recommend this location to anyone. I havent had any issues at the Concord Mills spot though.
