I am having my basement completed and my contractor ordered doors which were manufactured by Dyke Industries. The doors in question are the double closet doors. During the assembly process the top board of the framework was cut too short, but instead of cutting a new piece, the improper sized board was installed regardlessly. The result of this squeezed the top area of the doors together making them unable to close unless you simultaneously close them in order to squeeze them together. They will not close if one of the doors is closed first. Also the mortise for the striker plates was done poorly leaving them on an angle. I was very surprised to hear that this company has been in business since 1866. You would think a company of this standing would have better quality control. Ray G.
