My son’s ages 10 & 11 had a private lesson with Patrice Thomas she made the entire experience amazing from start to finish. It was their 1st at the range and 1st time handling a firearm, but Patrice made them very comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and explained everything so well for them to fully understand. Her patience and kindness was top tier. Patrice went above and beyond with our time there and to add a personal touch she had a birthday gift for my 10 yr old who was celebrating his birthday. To top it off, the facilities are really nice and very clean. Thank you again Patrice you’re the best! We’ll definitely be back.

This is my first time here, and I cameToday on my birthday. They charge you for an hour to shoot, the paper, glasses you can keep, and headphones. The bullets come along plus the gun. However, We had a terrible instructor. I hadTo ask him over and over can he help myMom put the bullets in her gun. Also, can he help assist with the machine to push that holds the paper My Mom hurt her fingers because she was having a hard time I didnt get his name but he was the only One working in lanes 11 and 16. I dont want to play the race card but unfortunately, thats how were feeling. Or it could be a bad day, either way, it wasnt a good experience for my family. I have been toThe gun range before and I had instructorsAssist and was very helpful. THIS MAN was terrible

Despite having the nicest facility (by far) and the best location in the Charlotte area, Blackstone does an excellent job at keeping their prices reasonable. The way the firearms/ammo market is in 2021, retailers have the opportunity to gouge their customers, and unfortunately many do. I have seen stores in the area selling ammo for $37.99 that Blackstone has for $19.99. Guns for $629 that Blackstone has for $579, etc. If you shop around the stores in the area like I have, youll quickly find Blackstone is top tier.

Took the Concealed carry class with Shane, super informative and interactive. I learned so much information, and he was very open and honest. I would definitely recommend taking your class here and with him.

I have made multiple purchases through blackstone and all has been smooth with excellent very friendly staff. Recently took the CCW course and loved it. 8 hrs flew by with great instruction from Alan. Looking to take more courses they offer. Definitely recommend.

Mark was an outstanding instructor. He spent almost 2 hrs teaching and coaching my wife and I on our new Glock 19x. He is extremely knowledgeable on firearms and safety. He has 49years of law enforcement experience training officers in the use of firearms. Highly recommend!

My first time ever on the range and everyone there made it a wonderful experience. I went there to take the concealed carry course and had so much fun learning about all the gun laws and safety procedures from Mr. Shane. I can tell the dedication that gentlemen has for the sport and hope to work with him again the next time I go. I am definitely going back to get more practice.

Clean, professional staff, and safe environment. From the outside, it looks like you are going to REI or trader Joes, or even a Spa. Its super attractive from the outside, very clean on the inside. So many things to look at, learn about, and rent. Renting is easy and fairly priced. The lanes are clean and staff will help spread people out. If you have a minor, they will place you in an appropriate area away from other guest using heavy artillery. I like they watch out for you and your group. I also like how knowledgeable and diverse the staff is. If you have any question, the staff is fast to help or make things easy to understand. David and Patrice are awesome staff members. I would go back and take lessons with them again! The prices are reasonable, your paying for a quality space, environment, and the professionals there that are passionate and educated. Go ahead and get ear and eye protection, wear protective clothing and shoes, and go learn!

My experience could not have been any better. The staff was friendly and professional. Went out of their way to make a couple of newbies feel comfortable. Facilities were outstanding.

We took a handgun 100 class on a Saturday morning. Our instructor Mark was excellent ! First 2 hours was instruction only, then hands on in the range. We used a Glock 9mm and shot about 50 rounds. I had zero experience with guns before but Mark made everything easy to understand plus safety was always first. Enjoyed the class, will sign up my teenagers to take it as well and will go back for date night. Highly recommend you take this class if you just want to learn how to use a gun safely for protection, and take it with Mark.

But what the highlight of the day was my instructor Shane. He was amazing...encouraging...and patient. He is passionate about his job. I will be taking some private lessons with him.

The STAFF needs better communication amongst each other, JORDAN was very rude an nasty her whole attitude was beyond pleasant. They had my family waiting like sitting ducks after someone said they would discuss pricing with us for our large party but never did, they just sent us to the register an opened the brochure that we already took the time to view ourselves while waiting. They lost out on $$ that dayUPDATE: The General Manager Stephen reached out to me and we had a very enlightened conversation. We heard each other out and resolved the situation on both ends. I appreciate him for getting in contact and us really getting to the bottom of it. Blackstone is a great establishment so I do look forward to going back one day.

I am new to firearms and had a private lesson with Patrice. She was through, engaging and encouraging. She answered my many questions, challenged me, and provided reminders throughout the lesson. Her love for what she does is evident. I highly recommend Patrice; she is a great instructor. The range itself is beautiful, relaxing, and has anything a firearm enthusiast could want or need.

Ive purchased several guns from here over the years and currently have one on layaway and its a great place to shop and the range is outstanding (have been a few times) but lately a few incidents have left me a little perplexed. The last one was when I came in a few weeks ago about wanting to put one of my pistols on consignment. They took it back and examined everything and then told me, sorry but we just dont have the shelf room for it and we dont think it will sell. Well, I called beforehand and spoke to someone about it and they seem confident over the phone about being able to sell. In fact the person on the phone was the one who told me to bring it in and they would take care of everything. I looked at the used gun section and look to me like there was plenty of room for a couple more. So before leaving I explained how I just wanted to sell it without having to deal with meeting people and FFL fees and asked what they would take for it up front? I was offered $75 for a pistol I paid $400 for. Thats really on the low end. So I just listed and sold it myself online for $440. Like I said, they have a great selection of firearms at this store but I would not come here to trade or consign anything.

First time paying this store a visit. Very clean, VERY well stocked with lots of options. I spoke to one staff member on the phone before arriving, and he was incredibly helpful (Im sorry I missed your name). While at the store the staff member who helped me make my purchase and chitchat a little was very helpful as well.TLDR, I will be back 😎

This review is specifically for the range. Overall the experience itself was good. This was my second time going to Blackstone. I will say the pricing seems to have increased since my last visit which was already pricey at that time. For two people expect to spend about $100 for an hour. I brought my own gun and we rented one other gun. Of course you can cut down a little there with your own ammo and ear/eye protection. If you are new to the range the best part about Blackstone is the hands on help

Overall really nice facility a great selection of firearms however they are overpriced. Was interested in a firearm there and proceeded with a down payment etc. I decided to do a little more shopping for the same firearm and found the same firearm for almost a hundred dollars less down the street at Hyatt Gun. I asked if the price could be matched because it was the same firearm and unfortunately was told they couldn’t. I guess customers have to pay more for the same firearms to keep that shiny building running. Shop before you buy here your more than likely going to save yourself some cash.

My wife and I are very new to firearms & gun ranges. We both are very interested in becoming firearm owners but have no idea on what to purchase. The entire place is very clean and new looking. The sales floor has all types of firearms. We were fortunate enough to bump into Andy on the sales floor who spent over an hour showing us different firearms and answering our questions. He did an outstanding job being patient with us. We came back the following morning to rent and shoot firearms. The rental process was very easy & quick. I rented a 9mm first then rented a 12 guage shotgun. I did not know how to load it because it was an automatic. Just so happen Andy was there that morning to assist my wife and I. The entire experience was great as a new shooter as well as someone who is new to the firearm world. I will be going back to shoot again as well as purchase our first firearms for the house.

I enjoyed my first visit to Blackstone, as the new shooter registration was seamless, the employees were friendly, and the range always had at least one Range Safety Official present. The only downside was the various type of weapons (rifles, pistols, and shotguns) being allowed to shoot in the same are. This can be frightening and distracting to a new shooter.

This was my first time and it was perfect!! Loved the beginners video and once we got inside to our designated Bay the staff was so helpful. Now I want to do it again and possibly purchase a gun!!

I went to Blackstone this past weekend for my sister in laws Birthday. The staff was amazing. Mitch encouraged her to bring her party there as the alternate gun range was out of ammo. Jada checked our group in and took her time explaining everything and held our start time until our entire party was checked in. Andrew assisted ALOT in the actual range and helped us load our guns and answered additional questions. I will be back for sure!

Had such a great experience taking the NC concealed carry course here! Shane was super helpful and fun to have as an instructor. Price was reasonable and definitely both informative and fun, I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time for 8 hours. They provided lunch which was really good! The facility is very well kept and we got to shoot 60 rounds on range for qualifying which is always fun!! Would definitely recommend attending this course or in general just going to this facility!

Excellent trip to the Range today. The facility is top notch and the staff was awesome. Had a unique jamb on my rifle and the Range Officer was quick to help, he called for help so as not to leave the range unattended and they fixed the issue. The store can’t be beat either, be sure to take some time to browse and shop before and or after your range time. I am always impressed with available inventory and product that Blackstone offers. If you haven’t been before you gotta go!

Nice range with plenty of lanes. We went during 4th of July weekend and it wasnt super busy. We were able to get a special on the rentals. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Andy was amazing with showing me guns to purchase and assisting us with questions on the range. Will be back to shoot again.

I took this class in May of 2021. It lasted 8 1/2 hours. I was pretty nervous before I went because I had not been in a classroom for many years, but after I got to class the instructor made everybody feel comfortable and welcomed. He never put anyone on the spot or made anybody nervous. He used comedy to make us laugh and keep us awake as some of the material he is required to teach is not that exciting, but he made it fun. I really enjoyed this class and I would not mind doing it again even though I dont have to. Thank you Shane for making the class fun! I would definitely give it 5 stars and recommend it to everybody!Melissa

The on duty attendant did not hesitate to help me load and empty the clip, I came with my family ages 8-38 and we all loved it ! 2nd time here, this is the first time we had to wait 45 min for a section but they accommodated all of us to be in the same row which was cool. After acquiring my first hand gun, I went to Blackstone to try it out. They were very pleased to show me everything I needed to safely operate the gun. They didn’t give me a LEO discount. Every other range has given me a discount no questions asked. They also made a big deal about my own ammo. They weren’t lead bullets. I will never come here again!

First time visiting and it’s a nice range. The place was clean, well laid out. The merchandise was displayed nicely and there was a lot of staff available to assist with questions or assistance. The non member lounge area seating area was non existent but I’m sure that was due to Covid guidelines. The bathrooms were clean. The range area itself was a little small compared to others that I’ve visited. But all in all, it was pleasant and the atmosphere was great. I’ll definitely visit again. Just on a less busier day.

Came here to shoot my 12 gauge at their range. Loved that they can let me shoot buckshots here since another range here in Charlotte doesn’t allow it.Everyone was very professional and range was nice as well as the price for 1 hour.Will definitely return here for the range. As far as pricing for their gun store, it’s about the same pricing as another local gun store if not a few dollars off.Highly recommend!

One of the best setups in terms of indoor ranges I’ve seen. Staff were friendly and helpful, with advice and information where needed but they definitely leave you to do your thing. The store also gives a great selection of firearms and ammo.

First time there was yesterday. Went with my brother and a friend. Great experience, employees were super friendly and very knowledgeable about their guns. The range employee definitely made sure procedures were being followed as we were advised of improperly moving a gun. Signed up for the monthly membership and added my brother to that. Going to bring my dad next visit and it’s likely we’ll look into repeat visits. it is within reasonable pricing. I only wish ammo was not so expensive these days.

Instructor Shane was AWESOME! Yes, the concealed to carry class is a long 8 hours but he made it so much fun with A LOT of learning. He took his time, answered it questions or concerns our class had. He was also patient with some of us who had little experience with firearms. My husband and I enjoyed the course so much, we are scheduling to go back for private lessons with Shane for us and our children. I highly recommend Blackstone. Their associates were very helpful and attentive when making my purchase, and I also received top notch training from a professional instructor. Their indoor range is also excellent, with an easy-to-use scheduling system. So I was in the area visiting for a few days and I have recently obtained my concealed carry permit and I have never shot a gun before! I signed up for a private instruction with Mark Stevens and he was literally the greatest instructor for me! He was very relatable, to the point, professional, thorough, kind and easy to understand. We went over the safety and handles of everything in the classroom before we go went in the bay to shoot and it was much needed because we went over the motions of everything and what to expect. Once in the bay, I already felt more comfortable because I knew what I was actually going to be doing. He talked me through each motion and it was amazing! The first shot was the scariest then after that I was in love! I had so much fun and Mark helped my confidence as he gave me pep talks after each round. I literally would not have changed one thing about my experience at Blackstone or with Mark. Thanks again Mark and I will definitely come back when I’m in town! :)

Manager and staff are extremely rude. It is important to do your research before going into a gun store which was done before I visited. However as I was asking questions and answering questions the manager felt the need to speak to me very condescendingly and loudly in front of a lot of other people which then made me feel like I was 2 feet tall. I hope that the experience made him feel better. Meanwhile I am nor anyone from my family will be visiting this establishment ever again

First time visiting a gun range and I must say it was everything I expected and more. From checking in for the range to checking out the store! I love the service here and the staff from my one experience. As a deaf blind man I told staff members I was deaf and they understood well enough to pull down their mask and help me out so I can read their lips. Nothing bad to say here love it all!( a tip I would recommend is maybe learning basic signs or understanding deaf culture more so you guys can know when to pull down mask or not if person is deaf). Everyone must come here to check it out I love it so much I’m going today for class! MUST STOP BY HERE AND CHECK IT OUT!

Very top notch, clean, Range. You can tell and feel this place was built for the now and future. Very friendly staff, low pressure, no out right political bias or lean can be felt (from the short visit). Just a very professional atmosphere, which I appreciated. Very clean facility, it really feels like somebody could come from a professional banking job and stop right in after work and get in some trigger Time on the range, and have a members lounge area with very comfortable seating and food and drink to relax. You can also watch TV or just check your smartphone or tablet on the same location.

My husband and I had a private instruction training with Mark Stevens and he was phenomenal! We have mixed backgrounds of experience and Mark was able to cater the content to our needs. He was prepared with two of the firearms we have in our home to learn/practice with and I left feeling confident and more knowledgeable. 100% recommend Mark. I will be booking more training with him in the future.

Range was great, everything was mordern, had a great selection of guns/ammo, and the lounge area was awesome. However the store is chaotic and not very organized at the check out area. They my also need to update the text alert system for the range. My wife and I had an 35min wait time that turned into an 1 hour 20min wait time with no text. We did not get on the range until we went and asked what was going on.

I am a beginner and they were very helpful, patient, and safe. I really enjoyed my experience!

This is a great place overall to purchase a weapon or accessories for protection. The process is really simple if you have the proper documentation. The facility is clean, the prices are relatively on par with the market and the gun range is equally a great space to train. I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the staff could use some soft skills. I understand the nature of the business and the highly regulated environment, but I didn’t get knowledgeable and professional vibes from them.

They did a great job hosting our company event. The VIP lounge was nice and clean. They were patient helping all of us non-shooters learn and kept our group competition safe and organized.

It was a fun place to shoot at the indoor range and a nice selection of accessories and ammunition.

I’ve only fired a rifle at a summer camp that I worked at a few summers ago. I’m a newbie with little experience. My friends that I visited with this past weekend have much more experience than I do. I had a great time. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable throughout our time at the range. Would definitely come back in the future.

I recently had a private lesson with Patrice Thomas to help correct issues with my aim. Patrice was great to work with, and made me feel really comfortable. She was very patient and personable which helped a lot. Furthermore, even when I struggled with something new she was patient, and found just the right example or analogy to help me. Normally, I am not comfortable making recommendations, but I would feel comfortable recommending Patrice to anyone. Furthermore, as a new shooter I have found Blackstone to provide great facilities and services. The only negative was that it was somewhat noisy when I had my lesson. Next time I will choose an earlier time slot.

The place is nice and well put together. However, the pricing to simply reserve a lane being what they are is outrageous and the fees upon fees to top that make it nearly impossible to afford.For $40 reservation fees you should get at least a few hours.

Extremely positive experience. The store was incredibly well-stocked and in immaculate condition. Everyone was masked, which I appreciated, that differs from all the other ranges I’ve been to in the last year. I used the range and it was in great shape and the range officer was very helpful for it being my first time here. They had range ammo available to sell, albeit limited quantities could be sold (to be expected) and considering what I’ve paid recently for fmj the price was fair. It’s definitely out of my way to get there, but I plan to come back as I really enjoyed the entire experience.

Nice place and great range but the wait time was unorganized. We waited for over an hour and then had to go up to someone to find out what was going on when we were told it would be a 25min wait. I believe the problem was they need more associates out on the floor and I know during this time that is hard to find. Overall it was a great time and most definitely would come back.

My experience at Blackstone exceeded my expectations. This was my first firearm purchase George was very knowledgeable about the the firearms. He suggested that I take the Handgun 100 class so that I can learn how to use it safe and properly. I signed up for the class. Patrice was the instructor she was phenomenal. She took her time and explained handgun safety and how to use it properly. She also explained what I was doing wrong so that I could correct it. I am looking forward to the Concealed Carry Class.😁
