I can’t say enough about this place and about Lexi in particular. She has been more than helpful (and patient!!) with the numerous decisions that go into a master bath remodel. Can’t say enough about Harkey and Lexi!

I have used Harkey for many years and they never fail to exceed my expectations! From the first meeting in their showroom to install day, Carol and their team communicate, follow-up, and do all they can to make sure the client is happy. My latest countertop (honed marble for bathroom) from Harkey couldnt be more beautiful. They were on time and under budget. Great job!!

Im very disappointed in my experience with Harkey Tile and Stone.I went to them for my bathroom remodel, worked with Terri Wheeler on design and tile choices. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until she recommended a tile installer. When we were working on measurements, Terri stated that they dont sell tiles by the tile they come in square feet. Technically this is correct but when trying to figure out the square feet needed for each tile, Terri kept saying that they are not responsible for measurements and the installer is responsible. Well, Terri had the measurements and did the math but when it came down to doing the deal she wanted to release her liability and I ended up ordering more tile than I probably should. Because the installer broke my tiles I had to reorder and guess what- The person at Harkey taking the order never asked how many square feet I needed. My 24 x 48 tiles came in a box of 2 and my 12x24 floor tile came in a box of 6 tiles.Getting Terri to call me back was a process, there was ALWAYS an excuse and on one call she even divulged personal information about someone at Harkey that was none of my business. Im not sure if she felt this would soften my bad experience but it only made me question her even more. After having a very challenging and bad experience with the installer that Harkey recommended, I reached out Drew Messenger, manager, to try and get my problem resolved. At this point I was already 2.5 months into a very small and simple bathroom remodel.Drew said he would assist in getting it resolved. Well, he did to a certain point. After back-and-forth with Harkey and the tile installer I ended up having to threaten litigation to the tile installer to get my bathroom completed. I was left with a USED vanity that was improperly installed, etched marble floor, grout haze on tiles, damaged drain cover and personal items that were used and or taken from my home.During this whole process, I was also getting a quote from Harkey on installing my kitchen countertops. Terri forwarded me an email with my updated quote that was $665 over my original quote with a note in the email from Drew to increase each at $200 each. When I asked Drew why he emailed Terri with the increase his response was Since you retained a lawyer for your issues regarding your tile installation and threatened to use them leads us to believe youll be happier with a different fabricator and to consider my quote null and void.Drew is right! After my experience with Terri Wheeler and Drew Messenger at Harkey Tile and Stone, I do not want to work with them on any other project and I would advise you to consider what I wrote.Definitely do not rely on them for install recommendations! Know your measurements and dont let them tell you that they dont know how many tiles come in an order because they do. The tile I purchased was their most popular tile so to say you dont know how many tiles come in a box is an outright lie. In addition to the lack of customer service, their prices are higher than others that I have found in the area--SAME product and better customer service.

Holly has helped walk us through our kitchen renovations with clear communication, ease, and fun conversation. She sure does know her stuff but is overall just a joy to be around. We are looking forward to our installation dates! Thanks for all of your help!

They are the tile sub on our new Tudor house construction.Had an initial “ bump-in-road”, with a salesperson. Was corrected; handled professionally. My contractor and his site manager, think they are the best. They calmed me down, ( building a house is not fun, it’s stressful beyond words) and Harkey management helped smooth the “ bump”.Some of the problems were my fault( see, stress above). We all apologized and moved on.Some suggestions to management:( based on my opinion and observations..... I may be completely out of line or incorrect).Went to business many times, place is somewhat organized, clean, but honestly.......could be little more customer orientated / friendly/ ......atmosphere, needs better balance between” we really busy”, so I ignore you .....and how to handle “cold” customer, off the street. All businesses, are forced to “ market” themselves in today’s world........That means ( in my opinion) all your employees, should say, “ good morning “ or “hi” or “are you being helped?” Smile. MAKE EYE CONTACT.People even if they are not “your “ customer need to be assured they came to right place. Also need better waiting area, front desk should have one or two people, who are trained ( maybe they are but time to refocus on that issue) to handle the “ new”, novice, customer.Looked like ( just my observation) the front desk was also the billing/ accounts receivable/ ordering dept.... with the second or third duty to greet, deal with customer. Kill that concept, move “ back office stuff” to back office. Lower the counter to make it more desk like. To high, intimidating.I think they could be a little more empathetic to the individual who walks in “ off the street” .( in my case, because I was sent by contractor).... the process is very overwhelming. Do not assume customer’s designer was helpful, or knew that they are doing. We need to be coddled, a bit, explain the entire process from start to finish. Many of us do not get detailed information from our architect or “ designer” before we walk in.Ok, sorry for the diversion, bottom line, would use again; after “ bump” cleared up, management stepped up, and provided top shelf service. Communicated directly with me and my contractor.Product, installation have been great. Thanks for great final product. House is beautiful.

Clay is the best. The template guy doesnt miss a thing. The shop is flexible and works hard to make sure youre happy. Jose, the installer, although a subcontractor is also excellent. This was our 3rd room using Harkey and theyll get the next as well.

I love working with Harkey! My clients get all the love from their staff, they have a great selection on all kinds of stone and tile, and their shop cranks out the highest quality work. There isn’t a job too technical or tricky for them. They have also done demolition for me on old tops and done it with care and absolute precision.

What an impressive team I met today at Harkey Tile and Stone. From the warm greeting at the front desk to the thorough tour with multiple introductions by Carol Schuster, it was reassuring to experience the cohesive operations among the staff. As an interior designer, every trade source I use becomes an extension of my brand and its important to know that my industry partners take that seriously which was clear Harkey does. Managers, Jessica, Drew and Lynnie all took the time to speak with me about their role in the business and I was introduced to sales consultants, Lexi and Terri in the midst of a busy day. They have a wide variety of tile and stone along with an extensive knowledge of their product offerings.

I had Harkey come and install a backsplash for my kitchen. The tile used was beautiful however for the price I paid the job was NOT worth it! They put the wrong color grout in, and then took down one of my kitchen lights and did not put it back up. After emailing and calling many times and being promised they would send me the new grout, and put the light back up that they took down, neither happened. I have left repeated voice mail messages and spoken with someone yet still, project unfinished. I’m upset because I have had friends with great projects done by this company. I’m never using them again.

Went to Harkey to pick out a remnant piece for my back entryway counter. Was able to find something close to match the counter tops that were already in my kitchen (actually I like the one from Harkey better). They measured, cut and installed very professionally. The installation guys ended up taking the counter back to the shop to shave off a tiny bit from one side because they were worried it would damage the drywall if they forced it in. I had never bought granite before and the sales staff educated me on things to consider and how to care for granite. Treated me as if I was buying way more than a little $500 remnant.

This is a great company!! They worked with me to get the right type of granite installed in my new home. When things did not look right originally they replaced the piece with a completely different color. Cant say enough good things about these guys!! A true family owned business!!

John was extremely rude and dismissive - I had decided to not used them based on my encounter with John but a family friend convinced me to go back. Evidently its par for the course to have a bad experience with John. I did go back a 2nd time and had a much better experience with another sales agent, however never received a quote. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Dont bother, takes forever getting a quote back and will greet you with a terrible attitude. No manager available either. It was last company to quote, all others submitted quotes in 2 days, this one could not get a quote for over 3 days. I gave drawings and the exact style of countertop: 1 solid quote, ready to buy. Called them for last chance, telling them Im buying today and cant wait. Still! Got told quote wont be ready. No apologies, no care.If a company doesnt care and cant quote, you think they will be on top of it when it comes to the kitchen?Move on to better companies.
