Double check everything the woman in the front office tells you, and have her write it down. She went back on 2 different things she had said to me previously (price / completion date). She denied and made excuses. Rude and poor customer service in the office.

I was fighting a weird electrical issue with my classic car and as a last ditch effort I brought my parts store reman alternator here to have it checked. I walked in and they helped me right away, a quick test revealed the alternator was faulty out of the box despite testing OK at one of the chain stores. That is the difference between an expert and a chain retailer. They also tested my battery on the spot to rule that out for my peace of mind. I only wish I had saved my OEM part and had it rebuilt here instead of buying a reman unit. Top notch service all around and I will send anyone looking for expert help here for sure.

Honestly the only place Ill buy from or have rebuild starters, alternators, etc. auto electric!In five years of doing buisness with them on a company level as a fleet and equipment manager/mechanic, and personal rigs, Ive never looked elsewhere. Friendly folks, and good service. Brought an alternator to be rebuilt here. Finished up the job in a couple hours and the part worked great when reinstalled in the vehicle. The price to have it rebuilt wasnt much less than just buying a new one online though.

The only place you should get your alternators repaired or rebuilt. In fact you’ll spend less here for a rebuilt alternator than at any auto parts store. And the rebuilt one here is vastly superior to any one you buy at an auto store. David is extremely knowledgeable and efficient. He’s also fixed mine in less than a day. And he’s very friendly and stands by his work. Can’t recommend this place enough.

You (do not wanna take your electric motors )to this person he does not follow up he does not return your phone calls poor customer service all around.After waiting 2 years for him to fix my motor and fine parts for it. I went his shop he said he throw it way or at bottom of his trailer he look for and he short of staff. I waited over another week and called him left message for a update. No return phone call. Waited another week call him again got hold him he told me he will not warranty motor fix and its left there over 90 days he follow it a way. He also told he will look for it when he get to it. Really bad customer service try someone else.

Did an absolutely miracle job on my 1967 BMW Bosch alternator (seized) and Bosch starter motor. Both look like new and are in perfect working order. Besides the fact that it is hard to find original parts for this car, the complete overhaul of these parts turned out to cost little compared to new purchase and they really look like new. Dave goes out of his way to satisfy his customers, he knows that if he treats them right they will refer people and write reviews like these. Thanks Dave for a great job! Dave at Carolina Auto Electric is the man. I sent him 2 starters for motorcycles and they were returned to me repaired and looking like new in 3 days. The cost to have repaired by a professional is much cheaper than a new one. Call these guys for fast, quality service.

Brought an alternator in to be rebuilt. Dave tested it before rebuilding and found that it was putting out more than enough current. He opened it up and found everything inside to be just fine, then took the time to suggest possible causes for the low voltage such as a bad ECM or battery. And he didnt charge for the diagnosis or consultation. This shop knows how to earn your business!

Great place to deal with. First they looked to see if they had a replacement starter, and when they didnt, I asked if they could rebuild mine; give me a couple hours. Perfect! When I picked it up that afternoon, they couldnt take credit cards b/c of a power outage, and I didnt have cash. I said no problem, Ill get some cash and grab it tomorrow. They said take it with you, stop by when you can. And theyd never seen or met me before. Anyhow, due to circumstances, it took me a couple days to get back there and pay them, which I did today, and they were just as cordial and helpful as the day before. Recommend them to anyone needing auto electric work done.

I needed an alternator rebuilt, i took it to Dave and the repair was done in record time, a few hours at best. Took it home and replaced, had an issue with it. Called Dave and brought it back. He stopped all he was doing to assit my repair, not once but on two seperate days, rebuilt my alternator 2 more times only to find out it was not his problem but a faulty ground wire on my truck. He did this at no extra charge and i know this repair cost him money. I am very pleased with the service and hope that anyone needing repair of alternator or starter would give them their business. You wont be sorry. I have never got vehicle service anywhere that took such great care of their customer, from price, parts, service. WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?! First, I called randomly the day after Christmas to get an emergency alternator replacement. They were supposed to be closed, but still took me in. They quoted me at nearly HALF the price every other shop in the city had given me. Then they agreed to install it as well for less than the PART would have cost me somewhere else. And to top it all off, they had me in and out in an HOUR.My holidays had been pretty rough, but this experience made up for it. The service was excellent, and the part is like new. Youd be a fool to go anywhere else. Cant thank them enough!
