The worst experience ever...over 400 days and still counting. Ordered entrance door in March 2020 and had to wait until October to have it installed. The workmanship was terrible and the door were badly damaged during the installation. After several cancelled appointments, Im now scheduled to have the door replaced sometime in August 2021 (18 months after the original order). Do yourself a favor and avoid Pella Windows and Doors!Update...Still no response back from Pella. They dont return messages and the response from them below is an auto reply message. Ive uploaded some photos of the installation so you can judge the quality of the work for your self. Worst of all, the door doesnt stay closed without latching the deadbolt! Great feature when you have pets.

I have to say that Josh Irons, helped us in choosing the correct (Best) windows and entry doors. He really stepped up to help my wife and I. When we arrived at our appointment today, I was greeted by Robin and notified the other sales associate would not be able to make it. So without question Josh went through the whole set of house plans and got every detail, even the details my wife and I overlooked. Robin quickly updated our prices and changed our invoice. It was a pleasure working with both Josh and Robin.Thank You Both

Do not use this company to replace your windows. I have been waiting 16 weeks for a replacement window that was broken, and 10 weeks for a warranty repair for my sliding glass door. They do not answer the phone, and will not call back if you leave a message. They were eager to call me when they wanted payment, but will not respond for warranty work. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I called Pella on a Friday afternoon regarding the replacement of the locking mechanism on my Pella sliding glass patio door. The contact person quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and had it shipped to my address, and scheduled the service call for replacement in the same phone call. The service team provided a reminder text, arrived at the scheduled time and made the replacement. There was a slight installation problem and when I reported it, the management team reviewed it and corrected it very satisfactorily. I couldnt be more pleased with the handling of this repair and subsequent follow-up.

The team was very well organized and customer service oriented from the sales representative, through the installation team, to the scheduling and follow up staff. We had some HUGE picture windows installed. They came out beautifully. The install staff was professional, friendly and competent. The pricing was very competitive. It was a great experience. I further appreciated the call after installation to see if we were satisfied. Good job all around!

I am currently having windows installed from Pella in Charlotte using this franchise. The windows are already over 3 weeks late in being delivered and installed, and this has delayed our framing inspection, as nothing else can happen on my project until this inspection is done. I just found out that the delivery/installation is short 3 windows, and it is unclear when they will be here. I am very unhappy with the way this has proceeded so far. I will update my review as the work is completed. UPDATE - the salesman contacted me and reported the missing products are still in production and will be here in a week or 2.UPDATE 2 - The missing windows arrived this morning, 1 week after the others were installed, the 1 to 2 week estimate was met at the low end, good job !

Cant comment on good value because this was 1st time doing windows install, but I would think so. The team I had were professional all around and responsive...great team of folks. 🙃😀

We had appointments for Pella to come repair a door and on two separate occasions they canceled. Now they can’t get us on the schedule. There are many great door companies in Charlotte, use someone else.

EDIT: I want to let other people know that after the response from owner below I emailed the contact info and never received a reply to that email either...absurd company, Id advise everyone to stay away.I had an in person meeting with a sales rep and their manager and after even talking with customer service and informing them after a week I still had not heard a follow up, I never heard back from this company or received a quote. Very disappointed, as I was most impressed with this company out of all of their other companies I met with but their follow up was nonexistent.

While I could share many details about how poor our experience has been, I will limit to a few details. A four day installation of 37 windows has taken 7 months (September 2020 - April 2021). There have been numerous errors and mistakes by Pella. Their internal communication is pitiful. And, when the installation crew had to be terminated due to multiple poor installations, you should know to avoid Pella. One particular highlight - the installation crew used a stick (from the yard) as a shim in a window. And the entire metal wrapping on all 37 windows had to be removed, cleaned and replaced. The final straw - to make up for all of this, Pella is currently offering a 2.25% discount on our bill.

Avoid Pella Windows & Doors of Charlotte. Worst possible experience ever dealing with them. The product may have merits, but the customer service from the local branch and corporate are despicable. Granted in the days of Covid-19, scheduling and supply issues are part of the norm. But they have gone so far as to fabricate lies and actively confirm installations for product that has not even been manufactured and shipped. Actually calling me the week prior to confirm, then canceling late the day prior. Twice. Not even willing to admit any fault or own up to anything. Instead content to enforce no cancel clause in contract, or wait till after they complete contract and have all of my money before offering any sort of consideration. Learn from my mistake. Spend your money elsewhere. Hoping the court can help.

We ordered a pella door through Lowe’s home improvement five months ago and have been told for the last five months that the date is being changed and postponed over and over and over. I’m at my witts end waiting and trying to get in touch with someone to figure out what’s going to happen. We will never order again from Lowe’s or Pella

I got an estimate for three windows for $4866, which I thought was a little high. I was told the estimate was good for 30 days. I got a text telling me if I wanted that price I needed to pay now (20 days before contract expired) because of a price increase. I felt pressured into buying. I didnt. Very unprofessional.

We had windows installed a few years ago and a door installed recently. The salesmen for both jobs (Josh Sprinkle and Jarret Fleharty) were knowledgeable and professional. Both install crews were on-time, knowledgeable, and professional as well. We have had a great experience with Pella. The quality of the products and warranty are worth the cost. We will continue to recommend Pella to others.

Good products but needs to put significant attention on service and installation. My experience getting them to install windows and doors has been a horror story. Left job half done for 2 weeks now.

I had an amazing experience with Pella! My grandparents were unsure of where to even begin in their search for replacement windows. They recruited me to assist. After shopping around, we still had not decided. A friend of mine referred us to Pella. We had an amazing sales consultant, her name was Joanna. From the moment Joanna started assisting our family, it was a breeze. She did a fantastic job from start to finish. We had very relatable conversation, she was easy to talk to and knowledgeable. The entire process and the financial portion was so thorough! My grandmother was so impressed and sold on Pella as her new windows by the end of our meeting with her. She isn’t great with computers so ask that I share our wonderful experience here! I obviously obliged.I would recommend Joanna at Pella to anyone looking in need of windows or doors!

I used Pella NC to replace our windows. The final job was well executed but I’m deeply disappointed with the experience. The sales rep was nice but the order was entered incorrectly so 8 of the windows had to be installed over a month later. I was told there would be a concession for this but it was never offered. Also had to argue significantly with them regarding the blinds they removed and various other issues. I regret not using a local contractor instead —Pella Nc argued for a longer warranty but pricing was $5k more with them then with contract. Supervisor “Matthew” was quite rude on several occasions as well. So net net good installation, over paid, multiple problems along the way and not very responsive. I would definitely not use them again under any circumstance.

Beautiful showroom, helpful staff. Pella makes some great looking windows and a visit to this showroom inspired me to upgrade my windows.The gentleman who will perform the home visit called within an hour of my visit to schedule an appointment. Very attentive!Easy location to access from 485.

So after calling twice. Was told I didnt need an appointment, I show up at 1 on Saturday and the store is locked down. I asked to make an appointment and was told no. Not a great start. Also no signs on the door other than open until 3.....

The WORST Customer service I have ever had. Ordered a window replacement 4 months ago. After a month, they dropped off the window and parts in my backyard (unannounced and did not come to the door.BTW, it rained that day). After 2 months of not returning calls, they finally came out to install the window, only to find out that they did not have the window Muntin insert or the properly sized indoor and outdoor moldings. We had to wait another month for them to order the parts. And again, we cant get the installation scheduling manager to return calls. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company like Covid. Very dissatisfied.

Experience has been alarming. We purchased a door in July 2020 and the door has not been installed as of yet. Installation has been postponed multiple occasions in addition to the lack of communication. Most recent appt was set on 11/27 and we stayed home and no one notified us that they were not coming. We receive a call on 11/30 after several emails just for the installation supervisor Matthew to inform us that the installers truck had mechanical issues. Really!! Unacceptable for a nationally known company.

Mike Martin was our sales rep and he went over and beyond with his service. We looked at several alternatives before picking Pella, and Mike’s guidance helped us go through the overall process from start to finish stress free.

Convenient and beautiful showroom, conference room, and displays. We were able to see actual operational products, how they were installed. Our sales rep had tremendous construction experience and product experience which helped us truly discern the best and most cost effective solutions for our build.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Pella and would gladly recommend them to anyone. We were able to schedule our in home appointment easily online. Our representative calls us the night before to check with us and make sure he had all the information he needed to bring for our appointment. Our representative was on time and was able to explain all our options and answer our questions with no pressure. When we decided to move forward he made measurements and came back a few days later to confirm measurements. We have been kept in the loop and informed every step of the way.

The windows look perfect in our mountain house. I watched the instillation and couldnt believe the care and attention to detail. I have never seen a team of installers that worked so hard. All 4 worked constantly and showed such organization and skill. They were kind, professional, hard working and diligent. We are so thrilled that they could work on our house. I cant say enough kind words about the windows and installers.

This is our 2nd job done by Pella. We had windows installed in the past and one French door. The current job was additional French doors and an Entry door. There was a slight problem with scheduling but we were willing to wait as Pella has excellent installers. It took longer than expected for the install but the finished product was well worth the wait. We will still continue to be a Pella customer and any future projects that we may have.

We used Pella for the addition of our Pool Room and we could not be happier with our end result! Highly recommend Pella for any door or window project you may have. We had 2 French Doors and 3 Full Length Windows installed that provide complete visibility and access to our pool area and pond. The products are extremely high quality and stand up well to the extreme afternoon sunlight of Charlotte. Our Pella representative, Michael Martin, was wonderful to work with. I installed handle extenders for our Pella Patio doors. Both are active doors but only one has a key lock on the outside. After installing the handles, I tried to lock the doors but they would not lock. I tried 5 different lock smiths but none wanted to be bothered on a Sunday evening. The last one told me to look it up on YouTube. The next morning I called the Charlotte, NC Pella office and was fortunate to talk with Ryan Bernard. Ryan told me what to check but I still could not get the door to lock. He sent a text to me to tell me he would stop by our house on his way back to Greensboro, NC from Charlotte. Ryan took one look at the door and pressed a pin in and raised the handle to lock the door. I never thought to press the pin - as what would happen if the door were closed. I was and am so impressed with this young man and his exemplary service! Yes, by his standards, this was trivial but important enough to make sure we were OK. Thank you, Ryan!

Josh Sprinkle is great! Very knowledgeable about the product and how it’s installed. He really took time to look at all the windows I had questions about and advised me on the best way to take care of my problems with them.He was very laid back. No pressure whatsoever. Highly recommend!

We had an extremely poor experience with Pella for a very large replacement project. The quality of product was fine but the scheduling and related communication was terrible. Project completion was 3 months late! The installation crew was solid and professional if was primarily management and scheduling that was inadequate. Would not recommend for large replacement projects.

George Jernigan at Pella in Arden, NC is extremely knowledgeable and guided us through every detail of the decision making process of replacing our casement windows in our 20 year old home. He provided many pictures of completed projects to make sure we knew what we were choosing. We have not had the service completed yet, but this review is for George’s professionalism and expertise as he helped us choose the right replacement product for our home.

We enclosed an existing porch in 2016 using Pella windows and doors. The next year we replaced all the windows on the front of our house with Pella. We had all windows replaced by Pella in our home including our sun room and two patio doors. I was amazed at how quickly and how detailed the install was completed. If I noticed an issue during the install it was taken care of before I had a chance to point it out to the installers... they were that meticulous with the quality of their work. The quality of work along with the high quality of the Pella windows and doors made this home improvement well worth the the time and investment. I would recommend Pella to anyone.

I am having a terrible experience with Pella where I paid for installation and Pella has the panels sitting at my home outside (a danger to my kids and pets) for over 1.5 weeks and am told installation may now be late October. I signed a contract in August ... why would they deliver the panels without the expectation to install in a day or two now October?

The Pella salesrep (Josh Sprinkle) met us at the showroom to follow up on an earlier visit at our home. We were able to review the different materials we will be using on our new entry door system. The sales rep has been very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable using Pella.

We had a 3 section patio door system installed. The non pressure presentation by sales person Bryce Keogh was much appreciated. He simply presented us with the facts and allowed us to make a decision. Throughout the process communication with Bryce and the installation coordinator was excellent. Herbert and his crew arrived on time and did a terrific job. They cleaned up thoroughly before leaving without tossing a load of trash in our bins. We have some very nice interior trim moldings and they took exceptional care not to damage it. Extremely positive experience all around. We looked at products from Lowes & Home Depot before making the decision to go with Pella. They are far from the least expensive option out there, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend Pella.

We had Pella Windows and Doors replace our windows last spring and we have been very pleased! What a difference the new windows have made in terms of noise level and insulation. Impeccable service and on time delivery! These guys were a pleasure to work with!

We purchased a Pella Designer Series Contemporary Slider replacement for our living room from Josh Sprinkle. My husband spent his career in sales and knows a thing or two about customer service. He was impressed with Joshs ability and knowledge of his product. This was not a high pressure sale at all and we know we will be extremely pleased with the final design & product because our salesman answered every question we had. (We put him through his paces--he will probably tell you he earned his money with us!) Pella is a genuine, quality product.

I started the warranty process for my Pella door in October of 2018. In September of 2019 they showed up with the 3rd wrong door as a replacement. After which they said they had fulfilled their obligation. Terrible company, no one willing to take responsibility due to franchising, etc - it’s basically a pyramid scheme. Pella doesn’t deserve to be known for quality as they do not stand behind their product.

Met this morning with two of Pellas sales people, Shaun and Bryce regarding a replacement door. They were both professional and helpful in advising and walking us through the choices and procedures for placing our order for the replacement door. Would recommend to anyone looking for door replacement.

In 2010 we purchased from Pella and had installed by Pella eleven replacement windows. They are aluminum clad wood. They look like they were installed yesterday and they function beautifully. They are double hung and will flip inside so they can be cleaned inside and out from inside.In 2014, we had a front door system installed. Had a minor problem with the threshold after several months that was taken care of quickly.Am considering replacing a french door to our deck and will be contacting Pella once again.

Jarret Fleharty has been excellent. He’s incredibly responsive, listens to what we ask and helps chose the right product for our home. We have had a great experience and would recommend Jarret to anyone looking at Pella’s products.

I ordered two Impervia windows on 10/1/18, expecting 5-6 weeks for installation. After placing the order I was told it would be delayed to early January, about 12 weeks. Today is 3/7/19, 23+ weeks from order and the job is not complete. They partially installed on 3/5, but did not complete the wrap of the frame on one window. The installers left and no one has told us when they are coming back. What is most disappointing is the horrible communication throughout the process. I even called Pella yesterday and today but got an answering machine. Left a message -- but no call back. The product looks great, but the installation process is awful.

Dont waste your time with this company! Approximately 3 months ago, we scheduled for them (Joe) to come to our home and....he didnt show. I called and left him a vm and he called back later to say he had a stomach virus and would call back to reschedule. We didnt hear from him again but after a couple of months and deciding to move forward with replacing we reached out again. We scheduled with him and once again it was a no go. He called AT THE TIME HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT OUR HOME to say he had a flat tire. He rescheduled to this morning and was to be here at 10:30 am. At 10:36 am we called and left him a vm on his cell phone....no response until 7:30 pm when he sent a TEXT to my husbands phone saying he needed to reschedule, that he had a minor incident this morning and didnt have his cell phone with him.....SERIOUSLY???? Your company has now stood us up THREE TIMES!!!! If this is the QUALITY of your representatives, then what must the QUALITY of your products be like????? And how does this speak to the QUALITY of your customer service once the product is sold and installed? We have requested the name and number of his direct supervisor, but he has not responded with that information and so Pella perhaps if you see this you could provide me with this?

My husband and I have been so pleased with the service and product line that Pella Windows and Doors of Charlotte afforded to us! This is the second project that we have been involved with Pella and we couldnt be more pleased. Our first project was to replace our formal windows on the front of our home due to sun damage. We purchased and had installed the Low E glass and aluminum clad casings. What a wonderful difference! The samples that our Salesman provided for us, matched out trim paint color, Perfectly! Never have to paint again! Our second project was to install a new Front Entry Door to go along with our windows. I shopped around at different local stores and the internet. Nothing compared to the quality and warranty guarantees. Next, I called Pella of Charlotte for a visit and was very impressed with our Salesman. He was efficient and the epitome of Professionalism. We decided to purchase the door system right then and there during our first meeting. He explained all the mechanism of a front door system that we had no idea about. We learned so much. Finally the new door arrived and our craftsman was again very talented and professional. Our Front Door fits perfectly snug and again we will never have to paint or refinish again! Where is Pellas Service?The rep that sold us the windows and doors is no longer with Pella and the new rep hasnt returned any of my calls.i have a problem with a $3800 door. I need to talk to someone.Update. The new service rep dropped off the metal angle support that was supposed to be in place before the door was installed. They wanted to charge me to remove the door and install this support.I did this job myself without removing the door.It was difficult, but doable.

Top notch service and product. We spent over a month comparing prices and talking to various window/door representatives and Pella not only had the superior product with all of the extras that we were looking for but our Pella representative, Michael “Mike” Martin, was by far the most knowledgeable of any representative that we spoke to. He had an astounding level of knowledge about Pella’s products from manufacturering to the installation as well as an abundunt of construction knowledge which helped us narrow down our choices and pick the best product for us. It is pretty hard to get a hold of anyone via phone at this location to pick up a door ordered for me. Not at all happy with Pella thanks to this office.
