I drove from Atlanta today just to visit the store with my daughter. We both had the best time. Her dolls hair had taken a toll and really needed help. I made the doll a hair appointment and picked a style. The hairstylist was amazing, efficient and kind. She made her hair look like it did when the doll was brand new. We shopped around while the doll was getting her hairdo. We got several things and they had everything in stock which was nice. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We left with big smiles on our faces and will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful experience and for taking good care of us and the doll.

Our cashier, Jennifer, was so bubbly and friendly! She made the experience awesome. The store was clean and well organized. Unfortunately, upon entering the store, we didnt receive the warm welcome weve received at other AG locations. Jennifer made it better at checkout though. She definitely deserves a raise.

Fantastic store filled with high quality products and a first rate staff. Its American Girl, so be prepared to wait to get in and have your wallet with the most money in it on you. The bistro was a surprise! It was by reservation but the food and service was actually quite good! It was very separate from the store and it didnt feel like you were eating in a doll store. Absolutely will go again (once I save up enough to go)!

Our daughter cannot pass an American Girl doll store without going in! We love their products and that the dolls all have a different personality and story. Make sure you buy your daughter/granddaughter one if you havent yet! Store was clean and staff friendly!

Spent entirely too much money but my neice had a blast for her birthday! The bistro and hair salon are reservation only at this time!

This store is amazing! Its one of my daughters favorite stores! So every time were are in Charlotte we always stop by!

We were in town for an event and learned the store was close by. This was my daughters first visit to an American Girl store. The store was beautiful. The displays were very cute and easy to find all the dolls. We were disappointed that they were out of stock on the Molly doll (her favorite), but she found a doll she loved. I was disappointed that the cafe wasnt available during our visit. There were several staff members there, but no one ever welcomed us or offered assistance. I guess for the price of the doll, I expected a little more for the experience.

American Girl was very clean and organized. The customer service was also great. I would definitely visit again.

Just found out our store is now a party only store, the Bistro is now only for parties they are no longer serving brunch or lunch. We’ve been going to the Bistro for a couple years now and LOVED it we always made an afternoon of it. The staff was wonderful as was the food. But I really don’t want a party with cake every time I go, plus $39 a child is ridiculous. I just want brunch or lunch but they only offer cake and for another $10 pizza(that’s $49 a child). Extremely disappointed in AG. It really takes away from the experience and now I’ll just shop online(but I’m even having a hard time wanting to do that)...

The price is expensive. But, the experience and quality is like nothing else! It is totally worth the money you spend on their stuff. The quality of the dolls far surpasses any of the knockoffs! We got a truly me doll! My daughter loved that you could pick skin color, eye color, hair color and hair texture!! The bistro has great service and the cutest seats for your dolls to join you at the table!! Not to mention the do it your self cupcake that includes one for their doll! If your little one loves dolls you will not be disappointed!! This picture is after two weeks of playing hard lol

Had an amazing time here for my daughters 10th birthday (just the 2 of us due to covid). Staff at the salon were extremely friendly and engaging. Staff at the bistro went above and beyond to make my girls day special. Food was great and pricing of food wasnt bad!

Disappointed. Didnt have items I hoped to get. It was not a very happy or welcoming environment.

Lunch on the bistro. Not bad at all. Of course we had to get the hair do and most definitely an ear piercing.Little one had a great time and wanted bunches. Told her we had to leave some for others to buy. Will be talking to the mortgage broker about a second to pay the bill.

Drove all the way from Atlanta, 2/19/21 to suprise my daughter for her 6th birthday. She had no clue. She was so excited and happy. Got clothes and accessories for her first American Girl Doll. She got her doll hair done, nails done and ear piercings. Great store, nice people and a wonderful experience captured for her. Thanks...Keep up the great work. Wonderful staff.

Our family experience at this location was amazing- my daughter was thrilled! Were Canadian so we dont have such lavish locations and store fronts as we saw here. We had booked lunch at the Bistro which was surprising excellent! The server/chef was so incredibly nice- cant say enough good things about this location..... AG is by far -EXPENSIVE!!!!! I guess you pay for the services associated with it - in this case- it truly seemed to compensate for their prices. I did read the other reviews- and yes I too was looking for a number to call the store/bistro as I forgot my sweater possibly in this location- have no idea how I will retrieve it... have no idea why a telephone # is not available- that part is silly! :)

Amazing place for any doll collector of all ages

Went today with my two daughters it was our first time at American girl doll store. My girls had gotten a gift card for Christmas and we went there to spend it. They were very excited but there excitement was quickly dashed by a women who worked there, who came right over to us and said my daughters needed to wear a mask. They are ages 3 and 4. Which is below the age recommendation to wear a mask. The lady stated my children had to wear a mask or leave and use there online services. Needless to say we left. My children were extremely hurt and sad not understanding why they couldnt shop like everyone else and pick out there doll. I feel like your policy is discriminatory! No child should have to wear a mask and or explain to your staff why they cant or wont wear one!

This store is awesome. We’ve taken our daughter here many times. It’s always very busy and employees are hustling around but somehow they always seem to personally connect with us and make sure we don’t have any questions. Very clean, well organized, and STOCKED store. Definitely a kids dream, and I love it too. We’ll be back!

I was harassed repeatedly due to a medical condition by several employees at the South Park Mall Location in Charlotte, NC. They ruined any experience and time I had to spend with my family and children at this location. Some of the employees here need to be held accountable for their actions.

Busy but inspiring. Ask questions and the staff are very informative and helpful. Still way overpriced, but a wonderful experience nevertheless.

We didnt buy anything we just stopped in browsing to look at the Kira doll that shares the name, look, and interest of my 10yo daughter who is a fan of the book series.

Ok so this place is crazy! All the stuff with a doll hair salon and cafe - for real people! Definitely a place to see - especially for the kids. Customer service was a bit lacking.

Had the best time there. Could have spent all day. Fantastic staff. The gentleman helping us was so much fun. He styled our doll’s hair and then gave us a look at his back studio where we could see prototypes of dolls he was working on. Great experience!!!!!

My daughter had some birthday money and wanted one of the American girl dolls. We went to the one in South Park Mall. It had all kinds of dolls and all sorts of things for them. She loved it. Only thing I didnt like was the cost. The staff was very helpful.

Every girls dream come true. Great location with hair salon and bistro for your American Girl. The joy on the faces of the kids and staff is surreal. Happiness abounds here. What a wonderful treat if you can afford to treat your daughter. They will definitely never forget.

Such a fun store that. My girls could spend hours here. They had wonderful customer service with smiling faces and eager to help. Their knowledge of past and present dolls and accessories was so helpful. My son even got hurt and they were so good about making sure he was ok and getting ice for him.

The staff are unfailingly kind to the girls who come in regardless of their spending. They all display a real interest in and understanding of the dolls and really encourage the young shoppers in positive ways.The bistro is fun and the food reasonable... Especially when they pack up the doll dishes to take home.The special events can be pricey but they are an experience and my daughter had treasured every one.With so many alternatives, American girl still feels like a wholesome choice that engages girls to work hard, dream big and be kind.

My daughter has the original dolls from 25 years ago. Nothing has changed. A great place for girls. The dolls are priceless and adorable.

Oh my gosh! This place is my granddaughters dream come true! They cater to your every wish! We all felt like princesses! What a wonderful tea party I had with my granddaughters. Marvelous teas to choose from and scrumptious sandwiches. My favorite is always the cucumber sandwich. Such a huge selection of attire and dollhouses with every accessories you could ever imagine. If you want to pleasantly surprise a little girl then you simply must take her to American Girl Doll store!

This was one of the highlights of my entire life I got to spend the day with my daughter 8 year old granddaughter and we went shopping for dolls in Charlotte my granddaughter had saved enough money for a couple sets of clothes we walked around the store for a couple of hours went to their luncheon area where I had a delicious cheese tomato grilled onion sandwich cut into small squares hey there were some real dolls down this part of Charlotte way

What a cool store. I wish i were a little girl again so i could play with these dolls and the fantastic accessories available for them. Employees were extremely polite and helpful.

A great place to shop and visit for kids and kids at heart! Warm and friendly staff and beautiful displays of dolls, books, clothing, accessories and more! Theres also a bistro and hairsalon that are definitely worth checking out!

This store deserves 5 stars for the fact my wife loved it. After watching a TV show that parodied this type of store, I really didnt believe they existed. But it had great service with a nice clean little cafè. I look forward to bringing my little girl here when shes older (although she can spend her own money).

We went for a 4 years birthday party at the bistro and then shoppping. The bistro was excellent. The food was great and the little treats for the birthday girl and doll were wonderful. Audrey was our waitress and was absolutely amazing. Would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter really wanted a Samantha doll which is no longer carried in store. Staff informed me they had 3 in the back and were able to sell me one. She was thrilled. Very happy with the customer service recd at this store.

Grandchildren (female) loved it! $500 spent and the 500 was very easy to carry out, as I provided advertising at no cost to the store (pinkish-red bags with AMERICAN GIRL in bold white print) the girls had to take pictures of Grandad with the bags. Catch it on: YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram !). I am a marked man now! All smiles and more room in my wallet for pictures of happy children. There IS a difference between NEEDS and WANTS! Grandma disagrees and won this time!

Broke both my granddaughters to pick out their new American doll play lot to choose from. The staff was very. We had a very good experience.

I am really a stickler for customer service. I believe everyone should be especially when you are spending your hard earned money somewhere. My 7 year old daughter begged for an American Girl party. Since she is absolutely in love with AG I obliged and booked the deluxe girl of the year party in the private dining room. You are your own party host first of all. For 47.00 per child I think thats absurd. You should look forward to know doing any work when you are paying to have it somewhere. After dinner was finished; Deborah comes in and tells me that the manager says they do not have a signature cake for my daughter(which is supposed to be included in the deluxe girl of the year party) because the party was not booked two weeks in advance and the cake is ordered from a local bakery. They could give us two mini cakes. My heart sank. My daughter had been asking “What is my cake going to look like Mommy?” for weeks now. I informed her I paid my deposit 11 days before the party and someone should have informed me of that so that I could have brought in my own birthday cake. Everyone knows blowing out the candles on your birthday cake and sharing it with your friends is one of the most exciting parts for a little girl’s birthday. Deborah left the room for a while and returned later and said they were about to sing Happy Birthday they “found” a cake in the fridge. The manager Lindsay comes in with the cake and candles and we sing Happy Birthday. The cake is then taken out of the room and tiny slithers of cake are served on plates to the six girls. I asked Deborah if she could box up the rest of the cake so we could take it home. She returns with one box of cake with three slices in it. I said “Where is the rest of the cake?” “Did you guys still give us those mini cakes?” No Answer. The manager Lindsay then comes in and tells me that there was a mistake and that the cake was mistakenly served to another table with a similar name to my daughters. Now I am really let down. My daughter wanted this party so bad; and I bent over backwards to make sure her day was good. Now I have been told two different stories about this cake. 1. There was no cake ordered, and then one was in the fridge. 2. Cake was mistakenly served to another table. After this I am almost in tears. My sister goes into the dining room and says no one is eating a white and pink signature cake anywhere in the dining room. 3. Lindsay then comes in and says that the cake was no good when they cut into it. And was not up to quality to be served so that’s why they served us the mini cakes. Now this is the third story I have been told in a 30 minutes. She said as a courtesy she removed 28.00 off of my bill that is the same price American Girl pays for the cake. A customer’s perception is one of the most important aspects in a successful guest experience. It is important to remember that, in all cases, it is the person receiving the service (the customer), not the person who is delivering the service, whose expectations count. Obviously Lindsay’s and I expectations about guest experience differ considerably. The manager Nick calls and apologizes and tells me that the reservation line was supposed to communicate with me that cake may not be available. Passing the buck to some unknown person on the phone. Beware do not book the Deluxe Birthday Party package at this store. Not worth the headache. Customer Satisfaction does not matter here. Been to a few AG stores and this one is the worst and the smallest.
