I ordered food from this place three times and the food was good but I always got a vibe that if your a person of color not welcome. I moved here from Wisconsin and I ordered food today paid at the register my food was sitting a few feet away on the counter the lady at the register pointed to my carry out food your food is right there. I said oh, so you can’t hand it to me which would of been good customer service instead you just point and say your food is right there. It’s a No for me if your black don’t patronize your $$ there support black owned establishments that welcome anyone! If this is a representation of the south I definitely like the Midwest better!

Really enjoyed it, liked all the history on the walls, people were very friendly, definitely alot of regulars. Food was good and prices were fair, service was fast.

Good food, good price. Little cozy on the inside for my tastes right now, but they have a couple outside tables. Pretty quick service. Double cheeseburger is the way to go!

Food was great! I came here visiting with a friend who comes here often, so it was a great stop! Was a little confused when I was told I looked like I liked chicken salad by the waitress, but regardless it was great! Sad they didn’t have chicken salad though.

Nice small local eatery. Get there early, by 8am the place was packed. Super friendly Southern charm and welcoming greeting from server. Breakfast was served quickly and hot. Tasty biscuits, hash browns not as good as some... Will try the grits next time.

This place cooks all there fried food in same grease. I don’t like fish and my country fried steak tasted just like fish. Very unsatisfied.Great Waitress though

Love this place. Grew up coming here all the time. Saturday was the first time in about 5 years I was able to make it there to enjoy breakfast. It did not disappoint, and its exactly how I remember. I go here a lot love the ppl and food but today I had my first bad experience I ordered two gyros And fries to go and as usual they put the sauce in cups so my gyro won’t get soggy, ( luv they do that) well I get home abt 15 mins later food still hot and ready to eat but I open my sauce it looks runny so I stir it up dip a frie into and it tastes like throw up !! I smelled wich I should of did first and it smelled sour but smh dry gyro for me.

I placed a walk in to go order and it was ready in 10-15 minutes which was great! Andy Zaviles the manager there did a very efficient job. I like how I got my food before I paid that way I can see if Im satisfied with it, which I was. I didnt even have to ask for condiments or utensils, it was already in the bag. Everything tasted great, thanks!

Down home breakfast/lunch joint. Everyone was very welcoming and the food came out lightning fast.Western omelette and the corned beef hash were both delicious. Biscuits made in house were flaky and buttery. Cheap too!

Always good. Extra credit, the waitress misheard and gave potatoes instead of grits, brought out an extra order of grits without being asked. Great service.

Such a great local establishment. Nothing fancy, which is exactly why I like it. They welcome newcomers and those who have been regulars for decades. The biscuits are fluffy and my husband likes their liver mush. Friday lunch specials may be our favorite.

Grill has been going since 1957 when Shuffletown had not been incorporated into Charlotte. Lots of photos from the drag strip that used to exist. Very popular, I thought the food was ok, almost the same as waffle house.

Great food. Great prices. Great waitstaff. Great breakfast (served only to about noon) and rotating daily specials. Closed Sundays.Theres not a ton of tables, so you may end up waiting at peak times. Seems like a lot of people get food to go, but I usually dine in. Maybe I shouldnt recommend so I can keep this place to myself ;-)

Great local diner for a first time visitor to the place. I do wish for more portions in food amount, but for the price you cant complain. Breakfast cost me all but $3.00 and you get a decent amount. Grits, eggs, sausage and change left for buy lunch. Good deal.

AUTHENTIC DINER! Not a new place trying to be trendy with a diner theme. A REAL diner. Great coffee, great bacon, and THE BEST sausage gravy I have ever had. Ask about their back story, you won’t regret it. Still doing great after 70+ years of service!

Home cooking and the food is wonderful. Great selection with multiple vegetable options. Prices are great and the portions are definitely enough to keep you from leaving hungry. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Its a small dinner so can get a little tight but the folks are all local so its like a neighborhood gathering. Highly recommend.

Food pretty good but the burgers taste like frozen grocery store bought burgers.😖 The low end burgers in the bargain section of the freezer. I have been eating here for years now and the burgers are my only complaint. Should get better quality burgers so that this place can be around in 2057. That will be 100 years. Otherwise, great place to eat.

This was a random breakfast stop and turned into one of the best breakfasts all four of us have ever had. Plenty of food and great quality. Pretty cheap too! Was going to recommend a certain food, but all of our items were great. Biscuits, gravy, eggs Cooked perfect, hash browns, pancakes.

I would highly recommend Shufflrtown Grill! I stopped by here for my first time yesterday, and was very impressed. Cafes and grills can be hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. The food was fresh and tasted great. The employees were very friendly. I live about 45 minutes from here but visit the USNWC often and plan on making this a normal stop on the way there. Thanks for the awesome service and food.

What a jewel. For what it is, I give Shuffletown Grill a 5. This place is a piece of history. The small towns around Charlotte have been gobbled up. If you want friendly service and good food, come here. Dont expect new interior or exterior. Regular customer or not, you will be treated like an old froend.

Good breakfast choices, little small town diner with old school racing memorabilia. They have daily lunch specials, depending on what day of the week you visit. Staff is incredibly nice, you couldnt ask for some nicer waitresses. Get a good amount of food for your buck as well!

This is our regular Saturday breakfast place, and for good reason. The food is decent and prices are low, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The Breakfast Special is my husbands favorite option and Im certainly partial to the biscuits. Theyre always perfectly soft.

You can’t go wrong with the sausage gravy biscuit. It could win awards if they tried. Service is on point, and the staff is like family. Lowesville is nice but the small close-knit nature of shuffletown has me coming back after reviewing other diners like an addiction.... which I may have on the gravy biscuits. Did I mention those? Dont bother...nostalgia maybe, quality no. How sad. Im a native Charlotte resident, was working in the neighborhood for a couple of weeks. Ratings said 4 1/2 stars....youve got to be kidding. I can honestly say I had the WORST BURGER EVER!! A burger????? How can someone make a bad burger??? I almost took it back to the kitchen myself just to see the cooks face. Frozen, poor quality, stamped out meat patty with an odd smell to it. Southern style toppings...chili (with beans from a can!!). 1 tsp slaw, 1 tsp onions.....unbelievable. How can you serve that when its so easy to make a good one???? These historical diners could still be as popular if owners didnt cheap out on products. BRING BACK THE REAL BURGERS!!!

Today I politely asked for tarter sauce togo with my meal... I Ordered a fish plate.. I paid for my order.. I asked for tarter sauce.. I reached my hand out too the gentlemen that processed my payment.. thinking he would place the tarter sauce in my hand.. he then through the tarter sauce on the counter.. After noticing my hand was already out... This was very rude.. he acted like I wasn’t a paying Customer or if I wasn’t welcome... please save yourself the disrespectful customer service, and avoid the older bald white male at the register.. obviously he doesn’t like all kinds of people.. if your reading this message.. You’re a part of an establishment have some dignity When it comes to customer service.. All people should be treated the same no matter what!

A small neighborhood eating establishment. Very limited seating. The food is good. The service is outstanding. From the moment you walk in door you feel like you have their undivided attention. Even though they are always crowded you never have to wait very long for your food to arrive. I reccomend you give it a try. Especially for breakfast.
