It was the 2nd week in October when I first walked in to Dolce Casa. I met the owner Pino. I told him I was looking to have my master bathroom shower unit removed and a new tile shower installed.I showed Pino some photos of the space and my current bathroom floors and counter tops all of which I wanted to keep in place. Within 10 minutes we put together a plan with the samples he had right in his store. We set a time for him to come over to my home with the samples so I could see how they looked in my space. At first I was unsure of how using glossy porcelain, Italian marble and quartz would look all together. Pino has a very good eye for this sort of thing, he reassured me and got it right the very first time! I was very pleased.Early November demolition started. By mid November the Tiles were up and there was one small issue I expressed with Pino and he immediately had his tile guy fix it. So finally everything was done except for the Measuring of the floating glass shower doors. Right before Thanksgiving, the shower door contractor came to measure. I was made aware that this would take a little time. Two weeks before Christmas I expressed to Pino that I expected these doors to be delivered and installed before Christmas. That afternoon he let me know that the doors would be in on the 24th and could be installed the day after Christmas on the 26th. I said ok. So the day finally came and 45 minutes before I was expecting the shower door installer to arrive the contractor called to explain that nothing that was Ordered, glass or parts were correct. I was not pleased.Fast forward 2 weeks later and all of the correct glass and parts got installed. And guess what!? It looks Beautiful!I am giving Dolce Casa 5 Stars! I have learned that this kind of Home Renovation takes patience and an understanding that there are many moving parts involved. Thank you Pino!
A great, great experience. Dolce Casa Tile Boutique has very unique tiles, counter top, everything for our bathroom. So different from other showrooms in Charlotte. The owner Pino has tons of experience. He follows his crew every morning to make sure everything goes in the right direction and checks all the details. He loves what he does. The bathroom was done in 2 weeks from demolition to the last tiles, then template the frameless shower glass and granite top, total 3-1/2 weeks. Also he did our 18 tall fireplace. His service is customer satisfaction and we are 100% satisfied. Ill recommend him to everyone. Cant wait to start the kitchen remodeling
Wonderful customer service & installation service is impeccable. Owner is knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated to his craft, and the master tile installer does wonderful work. The quality is much better than those of the larger chain stores. Thanks for an awesome experience! Highly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻
I could not be more pleased and excited with the full bathroom makeover. The owner Pino was extremely professional, he listened to my every request and made my dream bathroom my reality right before my eyes. I highly recommend this company.
I can’t say enough great things about Pino at Dolce Casa! He helped me transform my outdated kitchen into something beautiful! He was patient with me as i went back and forth on so many options and helped guide me through the design process. At no point did I ever feel like I was pushed to buy anything for his benefit. I landed on a beautiful light gray subway tile and quartz counters that have me feeling like I’m living in a new house! His crew worked so quickly and efficiently and I’m really enjoying my new kitchen! Thank you Pino!!!
We loved our experience with Dolce Casa Tile. Their showroom is a great place to start your search for flooring in Charlotte. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and talented. I am so happy we connected with Pino and his team. Great experience!
Pino, the owner, is great to work with. He is an expert in all kinds of tiles and really knows how to pull it all together. Most importantly, hes Italian!Good people, good value and personal service. I highly recommend Dolce Casa.
Dolce Casa is a great place to go shopping for that perfect bathroom, kitchen, flooring, or anything else related to that . Pino, the owner is very knowledgeable and can help you pick the best items for your project . Really recommend it to anyone looking for quality and great customer service.
I was pleasantly surprised by quality of the tile and the expertise of the owners! The tiles were expertly crafted and the selection of sizes and styles far exceeded my expectations!! The owners have years of actual hands on expertise in both the quality and installation of tile. I was very impressed with the showroom and the design options presented to me. Dolce Casa is truly a gem if you are shopping for tile!!! Dont miss this place if you are building or renovating!!
Pino hired us, Anthem Charlotte, to film one of his happy customer stories. When we arrived at the house we were amazed! Dolce Casa had beautifully remodeled the master bath with new tile, backsplash, one-of-a-kind bath fixtures, gorgeous shower with glass enclosure and more. He and his team remodeled the kitchen and it also looks spectacular! We had a good time capturing the excellence in the fine details of his work for his video testimonial. Pino has a great eye for design, exquisite/affordable material choices and he executes! Call Pino.
Beautiful tile, backsplash, and counter tops! The true test of a contractor is what they will do when things go wrong(lets face it...nobody is perfect).Pino does great work with great products AND stands behind his work--that is hard to find! Great business and look forward to doing more business with Dolce Casa in the future.
I’ve visited Dolce Casa Tile Boutique on several occasions and recommend their products and services. Pino, the owner, has exquisite taste and chooses quality materials for his showroom and kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects. His attention to detail really shines through in the finished product. If your looking for high-quality product, beautiful selection and great service, Dolce Casa is hands down the best choice. Visit the showroom in Ballantyne, you won’t be disappointed.
Pino has a great eye and innate good taste. His showroom is filled with eye candy for your kitchen, bathroom or special project. This coupled with his excellent customer service really sets Pino and Dolce Casa Tile Boutique apart.
Pino has a great design eye. His product selection was amazing!! A must see. Im looking forward to working with his company.
Poorly skilled craftsmen who think they know what they are doing. So, Im going to save you the long version as Ive invested enough in Pino and this company and dont feel like spending any more money or time. Everything they did appears as if it was done by a novice homeowner after watching a couple of YouTube videos. Pino and his crew (one other guy) left with my blessings after attempting to assemble our shower pan as if it were only required to last for a week or so. We provided him with top of the line Schluter materials which he scoffed at. We provided him with all of the printed materials which explained the installation process and requirements which he scoffed at. We provided him eyeballs over his shoulder when we grew leery of all the scoffing .. which he despised.Heres Pinos plan: tell you how the job should look and question your taste, question the quality of your materials, question the source of your information, ignore all of your input, tell you how it should be done and when you finally put your foot down and tell him that you are not comfortable with his work, he will quit. Pino wanted me to believe that his method of installation was superior to that of the greedy and stupid folks at Schluter.Full disclosure, Id been employed in the home repair business for about 5 years before realizing that it just wasnt for me. I still have a bevy of professionals (whose perfect Yelp reviews can be found with a quick search) back in the state we moved to Charlotte from. After my initial conversations/arguments with Pino prior to picking Dolce Casa for this project, I would regularly check in with them on Pinos ideas; most of which, while dated, were sound in theory in their opinion. As a homeowner, Im one of the few who has the capability to do his own work, but my quality of work isnt what I want to stare at in my master bath for the next 20 years.Things came to a head when Pino attempted to install our shower pan and tile without following the process as outlined by the manufacturer. His plan would have compromised the integrity of the pan and would have resulted in a failure within the first year. These are not my words, these are the words of three installers (two from back home, one local and one of the Schluter reps responsible for Charlotte NC).Heres the issue as I see it. Pino WAS probably pretty good at this work 15 years ago, but now, hes just the guy who runs the business. He may be a little low on revenue and looking to save a buck. So, instead of hiring quality subs, he just tries to do the job himself. Watching him do the work was cringe worthy. He struggled with the tools, he struggled with the process and he just didnt have the knowledge to do the job correctly. At the end of the day, I ended up tearing out what he had done personally before the mortar could set up. He didnt listen to our design and even after drawing his own version of the plan, failed to follow it. He attempted to fix his errors with shoddy work and even the areas which werent initially screwed up werent done correctly (i.e. I had to pull all of the grout out of the floor he did due to the grout joints collapsing due to failing to press the grout into the joint. As a former professional in this industry, Pino (Giuseppe) does not have the knowledge or the skillset required to do quality work. There are better, cheaper and easier contractors and suppliers to work with. The problem with picking a contractor for your bathroom is that you wont see the results of their poor work until youre paying someone else to fix it down the road. Just go elsewhere.
Pino and Ty were fantastic to work with. Communication was great; I felt well informed on my product choices (wood look tile and radiant heat) and the steps of our project--no surprises. Pino takes a lot of pride is his work. His shop carries very good quality tile at affordable prices and my new herringbone kitchen and breakfast room floor was expertly laid.
Beautiful Tile Showroom. Conveniently close to my home in Ballntyne. Tile selection is great. Many choices of tiles!
Pino was extremely helpful in my kitchen renovation by making suggestions on what to pick, referring me to the right HVAC person, and providing timely response and support throughout the process. There was an incident with the fabricator (Cutting Edge) where the quartz installation had 2 different shades of colors. Eventually they didnt follow through to fix the mistake and returned the check to pino and claimed to give me the free quartz installation. Pino stepped in and got another fabricator to fix the problem so my project could stay on schedule. I greatly appreciate what Pino has done. He cares about his customers.
Really Terrible experience!Dolce Casa is owned by Pino. Pino’s a nice guy but does an awful job.Bath and kitchen remodel. Took 4 months. Dolce Casa workers don’t know how to do their trade. Looks like sloppy children did this job.Went through 3 plumbers. Pino demanded more money because 1 of the plumbers got paid by Pino and then never showed up to work. Another plumber quit after damaging the wall in the shower. He broke through the wall into the next room and decided there was too much to repair, so he just quit. All 3 plumbers caused numerous leaks that leaked into the ceilings and rooms below. After ripping out my tub, Pino demanded $500 in addition to the contract price because he didn’t realize that the new tub was a different size.Had to refinish all the wood floors in the house after project was complete, because of worker damage. Had to replace the carpeting in the bedroom closet because this is where they stored the removed toilet during the remodel. Large permanent stains on the carpet. Had an item stolen from my garage. When I told Pino, he said “yeah, I think I know who would do that”. Never got it returned. Just a normal thing to steal homeowner’s stuff in Pino’s world. They disconnected electrical wiring and air vent from kitchen island during kitchen counter replacement. Wires were left bare and disconnected and the exhaust vent was never connected. All finish caulking for the entire job looked like it was smeared on with a fat finger. Looks very unprofessional because it is unprofessional.Cost over $25,000. This Dolce Casa bunch was learning on the job. I don’t believe that they had done this kind of work before.Dolce Casa Tile Boutique: AVOID AVOID AVOID!
We are extremely pleased with the results of our master bathroom remodel. Beautiful tile selection and excellent craftsmanship!
