Walked out of this place happily after being refused any kind of friendly customer service. After one employee insisted an eye exam first she promptly got an attitude, explained to her we only drove her to get an idea of what the cost of frames and lenses would be. With a tone her coworker says Bye! While I’m exiting the store. Why run a promotion and treat customers like they don’t want business.!!!Grand opening grand closing. The greatest travesty is that the eye doctor actually seems like a well respected individual. The retail service will certainly send me elsewhere. The only thing these ladies earned is a bad google review. Definitely NOT a new customer or family or friends! I certainly am glad I stopped in before I realized this is the type of customer service I would be getting . This was exactly why stopped by is to see how the service would be after an eye exam!!!!!!! Shop here if you like paying to be patronized by two employees that could care less about a customers or the business they represent.
My husband and I have been going to Visionworks for a long time now and we love Dr. Gifford. We were there on 8/19/2021 and wanted to get new glasses. The woman said she would text me when both of the glasses came in. I waited a while and called and my husbands glasses had come in a week ago. I got no text and no call. I waited till today and called again and someone named Josh answered the phone and I asked if my glasses were ready. He left me on hold for 6 mins and I hung up. How long does it take to check if glasses were there. We never had a problem like this before this year. They would always call when the glasses were ready but I had to call them and I still dont know if myglasses are ready.
Josh helped me today fix a pair i brought and sold me an amazing new pair... he was kind, and very lovely and completely professional... i hope he is there every time i go in!
This Vision Works is seriously lacking customer service skills. Should have walked out the day I ordered my glasses with the 45min wait. I’ve waited for my glasses for 14 days now and when I call for an update I encountered a very rude lady on the phone. I understand you are busy and haven’t had time to check but please learn how to treat customers. This is the last year I will be using Vision Works.
I was referred here by a friend since I was contemplating getting contacts. I got them and tried them one day. They fell out or disappeared. The business hours are incorrect online so they were closed when I called. I left messages and was not called back. Day three with no contacts I finally reached Tiffany. I told her I wanted my 150 refunded since I didn’t feel the contacts would work for me. I was never told the 150 was for someone to show me how to use them. If I had known that I would not have even tried since it wasn’t a guarantee and I live with someone who wears them and could show me. I thought the charge was for the contacts themselves. Tiffany explained that it is standard and I should have known because of that. Well it’s my first time and I was not told. Tiffany said that obviously I had a problem with the amount and I let her know it was the lack of response I got when trying to get help with my contacts. If you want customer service, do NOT go here. If you want to throw away money, then feel free to go here. I had to give a one star, but they do not deserve any.
Made appointments with ease for myself and wife after a walk in. Did read pretty bad reviews on the staff employees but had to take a chance due to the lower cost. Will keep everyone informed all the way through.
Avoid the visionworks store. The woman is the most rude uneducated person. The Drs office is great but avoid the retail part. I wish I could chose less than one star
I went here to buy new contacts, new frames, and to see about having an older set of frames repaired. The manager, Ann, was knowledgeable, courteous, and informative during the transaction.I am posting this five-star review because Ann went above and beyond in repairing my old frames, replacing the nose cushions, wiping the length of the frame, tightening the hinge screws, and giving a good polish to the lenses. One of the lenses kept popping out because it was being held in place by sewing string (a fix I made myself because the corresponding lense cord snapped long ago).I am not an eyewear technician, but I have a background in various trade skills, and these frames were repaired and detailed with care. Ann does not know me, I may even have misspelled her name, but hopefully she will read this and see how much I appreciate the level of service she exhibited that day.
There was a nice lady, but lest of others I saw at the store were unfriendly(mean), unhappy customer service. My teen aged daughter and I were not comfortable during the visit. Not sure if they were just bad mood.
Dr Mark Gifford and his staff (reception) have always been quite pleasant. Dr Gifford listens and takes the time to explain things so a dummy like myself has a clear understanding. I havent any interaction with the other side of the office (eyewear section), gone to another eyewear store.
The selection, service, and prices here cant be beat. I took my daughter here to get a second pair of glasses and Ted and the staff could not have been nicer. We got a stylish pair for a great price. My husband went later and got his eye exam and a new set of glasses as well. Simply great service that I did not expect from a big box shop. They really care about their customers.
I have been going to visionworks Arboretum since 2006Rhonda has been outstanding with my changing visionAnd requirements . Always satisfied with her suggestions.
Sofia at Visionworks Arboretum was so sweet and helpful. She went above and beyond to make my experience really great. She helped me pick out frames and figure out pricing. Very thorough while still being efficient and timely.
Love this store! The people are so amazing and they really care about their customers and I love my new glasses! I couldnt be happier! If you really want someone amazing go see Jaime!
We needed two new pairs of glasses and a years supply of contacts. However, the staff were rude and unwelcoming, so my husband and I decided to leave.
Ann at Visionworks Arboretum was very friendly and helpful. I wanted new glasses in a different style and she knew exactly what would compliment my face. She found several styles for me to choose from. She spent a lot of time with me to make sure I was happy with my new frames. My glasses were ready in a few days and I love them!!
The staff at the Visionworks at Arboretum are fantastic! I really wanted a unique look that would compliment my personality and they were able to help me choose the perfect look for me! They have a great selection of frames and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I highly recommend them!
We love this Visionworks!! Jamie Stone and her staff were awesome people to work with. They helped my daughter who was getting her first pair of glasses feel comfortable and beautiful in the different styles that she tried on. They do not just treat you like a customer they treat you like family!!!!
I took my kids to the eye doctor at this location. The team that checked us in was very friendly and checked us in quickly. The kids were taken to the back really quickly and had their initial tests done. The doctor also saw them quickly and seemed very knowledgeable.
The staff at this location gave superior customer service. Detail oriented customer service and consideration. I will recommend this Visionworks location to family and friends! The manager was out on the floor working along side of his employees and this set the tone for a team camaraderie spirit. He was supportive and available to his staff and to the customers too! Impressive!!On the day I went in to pick-up my glasses, it was very busy. A very kind lady acknowledged me right away, even though she was quite busy assisting other customers. She took the time to greet me and let me know someone would be with me as soon as possible. This same person was multi-tasking by answering phones, greeting customers, assisting customers by ringing them out - all while maintaining a friendly, kind, professional mannerism. Two other employees, at the time, were tired up assisting repairs on glasses, and this lady who was helping me along with all the other customers, never once lost her patience. As I was leaving, I went out of my way to thank her; she apologized for any wait. I responded, I didnt mind at all because of her great attitude!I do not believe many folks would be able to handle so much coming at them at one time; but, she presented herself and Visionworks with complete professionalism the entire time I was in the store.I could not be more happy with the outstanding customer service at this location. Whoever decided to hire this manager and his team made a very wise choice! Thank you Gordon and staff for treating me and my daughter with respect and going above and beyond in customer service! It was really like getting the royal treatment!! We left feeling like VIPs.Salute!!
Ann is always wonderful! I’ve been coming for years. I love my new glasses and love the great selection. Great customer service. Highly recommend.
Rhonda at Visionworks in the Arboretum was awesome. She worked hard to get me the right glasses. Very patient with me. I love my new look.
I had a wonderful experience here. Arine was extremely knowledgeable and willing to spend time with me while I went through the process of getting my glasses. I highly recommend!
- I was told my -2.5 vision is very sick so I need to purchase this $500 lens. The $150 lens will ruin my eyes b/c how sick i was. This is insulting.- They wont tell me what is the different between the $500 lens and $150 lens it. I wanted to know what set apart the lens, is it the material, the coating etc. They use phrases like they are good for you eyes, its just better lens, it is superior quality and avoid telling you what you are paying for. They treat people like everyone knows nothing about eyeglasses.- Surprisingly, after an hours of back and forth, they decided that my eyes were too sick that they do not have the lens i need. All b/c I refused to purchase the $500 lens.- Do not waste your time and money there. Period.
Nice people, definitely better after the change of management. New manager was really knowledgeable and helpful. Good staff overall
Called them and they picked the call and put on hold for 20 minutes and then disconnected
We visited the arboretum store on Dec 31st. We were helped by Arine! Arine was super nice and patient and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! The store manager was also very very helpful with the insurance process. Highly recommend this store.
Love this office! Ann is the sweetest! Everyone here is super helpful!
Cortnie was amazing she helped me and my son find a great pair of glasses for an amazing price!!!
Walked in after my eye check up. I needed some new glasses. When i picked out my glasses and asked for assistance on pricing. They told me With the glasses, Plus the lenses it would be over $500........ OVER $500... Needless to say... The customer service was non existent. When i asked if they had other options, i was told sorry we can no longer help you. I went online and bought the same glasses plus lenses for $130. I would recommend not going here.Sad because it is right next door to my eye doctor.
Went to Visionworks for the first time. Katlyn was our associate. She was extremely helpful and diligent relative to providing us with a great deal.
Anne was super nice and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of!
Gordon and Jesus were very patient professional and efficient!
Amazing experience! Jamie was very kind and helpful and I enjoyed my experience.
The lady around 65 was super slow, can hardly move. had to wait 35 minutes for a simple order handover that lasted 24 seconds !!!
The staff are so friendly and helpful!
I went got my prescription with the doctors and that was great. Went in got glasses after 4 times of wearing them i could see they were scratched. Took them in they ssid they would call me. 4 days later no call. Went in talked to a diff. Lady and got nothing but grief that there were no scratches. She said she would replace anyways said with an attitude. 4 days later went back. Said they had to order. 5 days later went back after still no phone call. Glasses were rapped in paper work like they were done. I put them on started to leave but saw they had not replaced lenses. The girst lady said she watched the 2nd lady replace them but at that time she told me she would have to order. Both were lies since they were not replaced . Finally got a call another 5 days later that they were ready. Got there but i ciuld see the scracthes still. It looked liked they had tried to recoat them. I asked for my money back and was told i would have to come back. Why do they still have jobs.
Some staffers are good, and good are vice. But overall wish Horizon had not moved
Vision works located in the arboretum in charlotte nc has terrible customer service. Every retail store is supposed to greet customers as they walk in. I was ignored, I will never go there again.
One of the rubber nose pads on my glasses fell off awhile back. I stopped in here because I was nearby, and they replaced both rubber pads and cleaned my glasses right away, for free.
Not very friendly when I entered the store. Hesitant to speak
My glasses were broken and this Visionworks provided excellent customer service! Thank you to the ladies there for fixing my glasses for free!
THEY WILL NOT PICK UP THE PHONE IF YOU CALL.
