Its a good thing I still have my old glasses, which are at least 8 years old, scratched and have a weaker Rx, because the new ones I received from the Belgate Visionworks location 2 days ago have to be removed every time I need to read or look at a computer screen. I called the store and was brusquely informed that they cant troubleshoot over the phone and what their hours were. They were so pleasant when I was ordering and paying for the glasses, it was off-putting to be rushed off of the phone when I was relaying a problem. I dont even want to go back now to have them look at my glasses.*
I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I came to get glasses for both my mother and I. My mother is unfortunately not able to be present when shopping for glasses, but these guys were extremely patient in helping me match her prescription/description she provided to the perfect pair of glasses for her. She said the glasses are absolutely perfect. The receptionist and optometrist next door are quite obnoxious, but do not let them sway your decision.
Great experience! Debbie from the front desk greeted me and help get me set up for the eye exam with very little waiting time. After the eye exam, I was helped by Ralphel K for getting my glasses fitted. He also offered some good deals for glasses that saved a good amount of money. Would highly recommend!
I went to Visionworks today and they were closed for lunch. That was fine because that is their normal operation. I waited in the parking lot for almost an hour. As it was getting closer to them opening after lunch a few of us stood in a line at the door. The employee (middle age white guy)came and open the door without speaking to the customers in line. It was as if we were bothering him. He didnt speak. He didnt smile. He was not friendly at all. After taking the two people temperature he sat them on opposite sides. When he got to me he told me in order to look at frames, that I needed an appointment. I didnt like but because he was so unfriendly, I decided to leave. I have plenty of options to spend my money. Customer service is everything. We can still provide customer service in the middle of a pandemic.
Clay went above and beyond for me and my mother. He took the time and care to make sure my mom had the perfect frame to fit her face and the perfect lens to fit her needs. He made this experience for me and my mom a fun and memorable one. Thank you Clay! Highly recommend Visionworks at this location!

I was disappointed with the service at this location. My appointment was 2:15 and I waited over an hour to get an eye exam. IT LOOKS LIKE THEY BOOK SEVERAL APPOINTMENTS AT THE SAME TIME. Its all about greed and money. They give you paperwork with extra services to be paid out of pocket. I asked for an explanation of the extra services and paid for an extra service. I also wanted to get my eyes dilated (which is paid for by insurance). I filled out the paperwork and waited in my car because the waiting room couldnt accommodate more people because of covid-19 (that didnt stop them from over booking though). I turned in my paperwork and had to wait in my car again. I waited 20 minutes. No one called me nor did anyone come out to get me (I was parked out front). When I went back inside, the clerk greeted me as if I hadnt been there 20 minutes prior. I stated twice that I had been waiting a while for my eye exam. I then noticed the clerk put my paperwork in the slot to get my exam. My paperwork should have been placed in the slot after I filled it out. Im sure people that came in after me were helped before me, I guarantee it. I would have left but Id already paid an extra fee for additional services. I had to be elsewhere by 4:15, therefore I couldnt get my eyes dilated which is advisable when you get an eye exam. I was very dissatisfied with the service. I left feeling not only disappointed but cheated by not getting the full eye exam I deserved. It was the fastest eye exam I ever had. FIVE MINUTES, REALLY? How thorough could it have been? Yes, you read this right: a 5 minute eye exam, wow! BEWARE!!! THE GREAT REVIEWS YOU SEE ARE FOR THE EYEGLASSES/CONTACT LENS FITTING NEXT DOOR (a separate business) not the optometrist or the clerks working in the exam office. I would choose a different optometrist and select glasses or contact lens next door.

Yesterday I purchased two pair of glasses from this location and I received exceptional service from Liz and Raphael. Liz was extremely professional and a pleasure to do business with. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. She made me feel like I had met a new friend. Raphael was very professional and knowledgeable. He was very patient while I chose my frames and offered great discounted features for my new frames. Ive been a customer of this location for several years and the customer service has been great. However, I have never worked with Liz and Raphael before. They have really elevated the service of this location to exceptional. Thank you both for welcoming me.
My girlfriend and I, have been so busy lately we havent had a chance to go order/pick up glasses. Today was the perfect opportunity to get the task done, the associate that helped start the process was Mrs. Drusilla, she went above and beyond to make sure we found what we looking for and that our questions were answered. Her customer service was top-notch, its what a visit to a business or a service that is provided to the customer should be.
After several failed attempts at another eye care center I visited Visionworks on Ikea. In the past it took 2 weeks to get my glasses back from the other place so I was surprised when my eyeglasses were ready in about 2 hours. The other vendor didnt even fill my prescription accurately. I really needed them that fast because the glasses I had was killing my eyes. However, I didnt expect that type of swift service. Friendly service professionals and a wide selection of cute affordable eyeglasses. I highly recommend them. Very pleased with the glasses I have now. Even got a 40% discount. Will definitely be returning.. I should have been here 2 years ago. My vision is so good I can hardly tell Im wearing glasses. I took the same prescription I received from the other vendor and Visionworks did a much more professional job in way less time. I am just amazed at the difference.
I like Dr. Dudley, she is caring and attentive. However, her receptionists are rude and very unprofessional. I have tried not to let it bother me over the past 5 years. However, today is the last time I will visit. The unfriendly manner in which I was treated, will not happen again. Theyre to many other Optometrist in Charlotte to subjected to their unkindness.
Ive been coming to Visionworks for two years. Drusilla has helped me each year. She is AMAZING, extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. Visionworks has a great selection of frames. Today Drusilla helped me pick out an amazing pair of frames. Cant wait to get them back next week.
I got my glasses a few months ago and one of the screws fell off. I’ve been walking around with caution until I decided to stop by and see if they could do something about it. I was expecting to get turned away due to COVID precautions or at least paying something out of pocket but no. Clay was nice enough to fix them for me. He also did the same for 3 other customers before me. I’m happy, thank you!
This would have been a really good review if only I didn’t have sit and wait so long to be seen. My appointment was at 11am. I showed up before that time. There were a few people ahead of me. The thing that threw off my appointment was a woman already 20 minutes late for her own appointment and insisting her and her husband are scheduled together. Instead of the staff telling them that the woman missed her appointment and no the husband cannot just be squeezed in, they let them both have an appointment. Due to that I wasn’t seen by the doctor until 12:45. That really hindered my experience. I did enjoy picking out my glasses. The person that I had helping me did misquote the prices on a few things. He was really nice though. I am unsure if I would return to this location.
Mattie was amazing ! She made my visit so easy going and her customer service is exceptional. She is very friendly and helpful and was able to answer any question I had. Very quick service. I called around 8:30 am to get an exam and was able to get in at 10:30 am. After the exam, I walked over to pick out my new glasses and service was quick and friendly. My glasses will be ready tomorrow. Also, they have a nice selection of glasses to choose from and the prices werent bad at all! 😀
The staff here was extremely nice and helpful. Clay was exceptional! He was friendly, and very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions, and even took the time to explain things to me that seemed above and beyond. Ive been wearing glasses and contacts for many many years and I dont think Ive ever had glasses ready so quickly! I would highly recommend this place!

I will never use this company ever again. One morning when I wipe my lenses off of my glasses the leg connected to the glasses broke off but still as the screw inside when I went to the office that same day and was told that there is nothing that they can do and refer me to a man that fix glasses this is beyond me because I never caused a minor or major damages to the glasses and now I’m out of luck I would not use this company EVER again.

Great! Didn’t much done here, had service at another location due to distance but was in the area. My glasses were really tight and I went to the ikea location to have them adjusted- they were very quick and helpful to fix them. Very nice and helpful.

I broke my frame and I knew my insurance wouldve covered it... yet the woman tried so hard to basically make me pay until the supervisior basically told her she was incorrect. I recommend more trainings instead of having the customers rambling around trying to figure out what to do due to it being another finance.

Wonderful Experience & Service ! I was shopping for eyeglasses for my son. Sam practically met us at the door and pointed us in the right direction. He explained the sizes and the current sales prices. After my Son had picked out his eyewear, Sam sat him down, measured my Son and placed the order ( We already had our prescription). It was really a Wonderful experience ( and I had two (2) kids along side). After visiting this Visionworks, I couldnt imagine going anywhere else !
Poor Integrity - I called before going to this location. The woman was pleasant and answered my questions. I went with my prescription, selected a frame then sat down with the salesman Kurt he was not forthcoming. The prescription stated Blue Light but he offered me Transition. I asked are they the same he stated it offers you 30% protections from Blue Light. So i asked this was including the Blue Light protections, he told me go do my research? Wait i came here for assistance you want to sell me something different and i should do my research. I called my eye doctor who stated, those are two different lens recommendations. No Integrity and he spoke to me in a condescending manner. I am very educated and realized i was being mislead.

My son and I were both scheduled for an appointment yesterday and I was so grateful that I was able to get scheduled for Saturday at a location convenient for me. The doctor was wonderful with my son but my experience with some of the front staff hadnt beenpositive but I pushed forward regardless because my son needed glasses immediately. Days prior I got a message that my appointment was scheduled for 9:30 so I planned on arriving at 9:30 even though I felt I had specifically asked to be scheduled at 9:45. The morning didnt go as planned and we had a little delay. Some times with kids things dont always go as planned. When wearrived around 9:37 it was apparant to me that some of the front office staff had a problem with it. When my son and I exam with the doctor was complete I was told that they still needed to see me so I was taken in a room where my eyes were looked at again.The attendant in the room with me was stone faced. I dont think she ever looked in my direction. When we were finished I said Thank-you, and she walked out without saying a word.
The only best thing I can say about this store is Clay was great. He was very helpful. The other people there pretended like I was not even there.
It was pleasant, the doctor made the visit relaxing.(W talked about hunting). I was able to find great glasses, thanks to their sales and online rebate codes. Will defiantly use them for future eye care.

This is an eye doctor OF COURSE they do. Book your appointments correctly she says there is no issue for me wasting my life away in their waiting area on a Saturday.

For the most part, the staff are pleasant, but can improve on the customer service a tad. However, my biggest complaint is regarding the physician who obviously has no experience with children, so Im not sure why she even accepts the appointments. Oh, I know why - we have insurance. To tell a 5 yr old that they are silly because they are fearful of eye drops being put in their eyes is appalling. Hes not silly, quite intelligent, but scared. Her impatience is astonishing to me when the waiting room is a ghost town. Moral is, we wont be back & my son did need glasses, but his silliness didnt allow you to be thorough.

Best optical store in town. Doctor is great too. Everone is so nice and they know their stuff. The price was easy on the pocket book. And I was originally told my glaases would be done later that evening... with such a suprise I received a courtesy call letting me know they were ready earlier than expected. I will never go anywhere else. Visionworks next to Ikea, Im a lifer for sure.

Customer service was HORRIBLE...I felt as though I was being rushed, both on the phone AND in person. I had previously visited a VisionWorks in Colorado, and had been wearing contacts for a year. Yet I was charged the fitting fee for contacts, given a pair, and told to come back in a week. Not what Im used to with other VisionWorks...guess what guys? Im gonna pick my script up and go purchase my contacts somewhere else if yall are too busy for me!!! Also, we were wanting to pick up some glasses as a back up (my first pair ever and I was VERY unsure of what type frame to get)...Not one salesperson helped me. Not one person asked me what I was looking for, what type frames would fit my face, nothing. Needless to say, I DID NOT but any!!
