Normally Im not one to leave a review. However the service that I received warranted it and changed my mind on the necessity to start doing so. My 1st interaction at the My Eye Lab on South Boulevard was with what I now know to be prior staff members. It wasnt the best furthering the opinion that customer service has to be taught and not expected to come with employment. It wasnt so much of the lack of it, the lack fell in communication which births failed customer service, customer interaction and lowers customer recidivism. My return to this location on an unresolved transaction is what lead to my interaction with Robin. I explained the situation to Robin. Not only was she attentive, she was out to find resolve. I was taken care of with genuine displays of customer service and a goal to meet overall satisfaction that suited the both of us! Fast forward to today, I picked up my glasses and had the pleasure of meeting Demetrius. She was very pleasant and reassured me that Id made a great decision in picking out my glasses. I was immediately greeted by Robbin and Ashley, who truly created a welcoming environment, and though I was late they handled me with the utmost care and professionalism. I must say.. My experience at eye lab was great! Marie was fantastic during my exam and made me feel comfortable. Once my eyeglass prescription was ready Robbin made the glass finding experience seamless! Highly recommend.

I stopped in to get an idea how much a pair of glasses would cost me...the young lady said she could not give me a figure without an eye exam,so I said I guess I will have to go somewhere else...I went to Lenscrafters.... they had no problem letting me pick frames, giving me a $ figure and yes, I will get my glasses there and tell all my friends and family WHY I chose Lenscrafters....
I wanted to love this place. My experience wasn’t good. The people are nice however, the way their process is horrible. Firstly, they are unorganized. Next, they do not disclose information that’s needed, upfront. Had an eye exam for contacts. My (trial) contacts needed to be ordered. On my tracking, it stated that there were 2 boxes of 3 ordered. When I picked them up a week later, I only received 1 contact per eye. They fumbled around looking for them prior to giving them to me and that was it. Not information about the contacts, nothing. I’ve worn contacts over 30 years so I’m not new to them however, there was information that still should’ve been disclosed. Got the contacts home, popped them in and couldn’t see a darn thing close up. STRUGGLED is an understatement. Scheduled another appointment, received another “trial” pair, same issue after I specifically told them I couldn’t see close up. Called and of course they wanted me to come back in. I demanded a refund for my exam. A request was put in for the store to call in 24 to 48 hours and of course I had to call in almost a week later to follow up. NOW I’m told that trials aren’t meant to last long that the prescription starts to wear out of them. NEVER have I heard of this even with disposables but, okay? And why wasn’t this information given both times I picked up both sets of contacts?!? Either way, don’t make it seem like they are NOW not working because I’ve had them a long time which, is not the case. Then to add more to this ordeal, I’m told that “trial” contacts aren’t my actual prescription yet, on the packs they come in, my prescription is on them. I was told I couldn’t see close up because they were only for distance. WHY would you order then dispense “trials” to see if contacts work if the prescription isn’t the actual prescription?? Even with this said, why would you schedule the 2nd exam knowing I’m coming in because I couldn’t see out of the “trial” pair? I also had 2 pairs of glasses made from the glasses prescription and I’m trying to explain to the manager that even if the contacts given were trials, my glasses were just as bad as those “trial” contacts. I am 48 years old and have NEVER experienced such foolishness as this. Then to tell me I need readers. My contacts before coming here were fine. I actually got the script for contacts and glasses doing the self exam online for a few years and never had these issues. Also, for some reason, when I called in they kept saying I had “boxes” of contacts. No, I don’t have “boxes” of contacts. They ordered boxes and gave me a pair out of the boxes as “trials”. THEY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER IN THIS PLACE!
I was nervous at this appointment because, so may optometrists had given me wrong prescriptions. This led to additional visits trying to get my sight corrected. When I saw the setup at Eyelab and the Dr was virtual, I thought this was going to be a disaster! I was wrong! I got my trial contacts and saw great ! I could read without readers!!!! I could not believe it!! This has been the BEST prescription I have ever had! I see GREAT!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
These ladies know what customer service is!! Was greeted immediately when I walked in. Smiles all around. Everyone was nice and helpful. They work as a team. Great experience!
My husband and I had a really good experience at My Eyelab. At our appointments we were treated very kind and not to mention saved a lot of money on My Eyelab great deals. When We came to pick them up a lady named Issell treated us kind and made me feel confident in my glasses. I highly recommend My Eyelab if you want to get good customer service, great deals, and good glasses.

You get 2nd frame for free (the cheaper of two) if you order 2 pairs of eye glases here. Their prices were pretty reasonable and frame selection was rather reach. I had not made any appointment before I walked in ti this store. Josh assisted me with frame and lense selection and did my eye pupil distance measurment. I ordered 2 pairs. It took less the hour. My glasses should come in 10 business days and I will get a call.UPDATE: Nobody bothered to call me. So, I called in a month and was told that my 2 pairs were ready. When I came to pick up my 2 pairs of eye glasses I found that both were made with wrong lense strenght. Lady with name Hamida was assisting me. It took about half an hour to convince her and order again. Hopefully, in 2-3 weeks I will get new eye glasses with specs that I ordered initially. So, I would recommend to double check what is in your order and be prepared for this kind of delays. I am going to post an update once I get them.

Slow service. Some of the workers would rather walk around and stand instead of worrying about paying customers with inquires and orders. This was my first order of contacts here with exam and most likely my last. I was not called for pick up i had to call myself to check status after online website was experiencing problems. I came to pick up my order of contacts and for some reason my right eye box of contacts was missing! Resulting in a delay of my order.. customers there did not seem happy i seen a couple walk out angry.. Not a surprise eyelab 🤦🏽♂️

Michael and his team of people are wonderful! I went there a few weeks ago and came in very upset because I could not see out of my glasses. I got the bifocals without the lines and I could not read up close with them. So I went in, set on getting my money back because why would I want glasses that the medicine don’t work in it. Vanessa helped me get the medicine straight in my glasses. She was very patient and calm with me and assured me that she would get my glasses right. And boy she did! She fixed them and showed me how to look through them. I left the eyeglass place feeling a whole lot better than when I came in. I appreciate all that she did for me. I’m happy I went to a place where the workers really take the time to listen to my issues and take time to solve and fix them.

I received the special free eye exam with the purchase of two pairs of glasses. The price was so good, I referred my friend to get the same special I received, and she did. This was a few months ago. Today, my same friend called customer service regarding getting a copy of her RX. The customer service representative stated that she would have to pay for an eye exam to receive a copy of her RX. If the eye exam was free with the purchase, why should she pay $45 for a copy of her Rx. She decides to go down to eyelab, and the same representative she spoke to over the phone contacted the store to give them a heads up and charge her for a copy of her Rx. She purchased her glasses and had her eye exam based on the special I was offered. They argued with her stating that she didnt get her eyes examined with eyelab, yet only purchased her glasses from eyelab. She seen the young lady who did her eye exam and pointed her out and stated, she was the one who did my eye exam, the tech agreed and said she remembered given her an eye exam. It took a phone call to a manager to finally receive her Rx. Even after speaking to the manager, they didnt want to give her a copy of her Rx. Eventually someone had some sense and agreed that they were wrong, and had to follow the promotion that they promoted. Im disappointed in eyelab and their unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge of the promotions they offer to customers. Make sure you read the fine print when it comes to their promotions!

The experience was the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. The system is automated and out sourced to a call center. There was always a language barrier. It took a month to get my lenses I ordered. The store manager was rude. Corporate promised a discount that they didnt end up honoring. Ill never use them again.
I went for the first time last week for an exam for contacts and glasses. The customer service and prices were amazing. They didn’t hesitate to answer any and all questions that I had. There was a friendly atmosphere when I went and I will continue to go back. The fact that the visit with the doctor was virtual that was a really different and interesting experience.
Can’t give ZERO STARS so here goes:The WORST ophthalmologic experience I have ever had!!! Untrained and naive staff; inept service; furtive manager; and, low quality frames!From my first encounter, I should have left. Unfortunately, I am new to Charlotte and needed new glasses. The initial exam (pressure, etc.) was handled by an inexperienced “salesperson” who had to ask for help; was unfamiliar with the tests; and, had to repeat several tests 2-3 times.When I asked for a copy of the results I was told by the senior person there that “…we don’t provide the customer with this information” and left the room. I have glaucoma and wanted to know the data!The “virtual” examination by the optometrist was adequate and she said they would provide the results as well as a copy of my refraction - NEVER HAPPENED! It took 5 attempts for the “salesperson” and supervisor to measure my PD and pseudo-fit the spectacles. They were pleasant but inept!The glasses arrived in about a week but were not correct and had to be redone (the manager was very annoyed) and I had to pick out a new frame because they were out of the one I selected. Two weeks later they arrived. The “salesperson” didn’t want to allow me to try them on until I paid -it’s there policy - the balance in full. I refused and they let me try them on without adjustments until I paid! She adjusted them slightly but not fully snd handed them to me dirty! These are NOT cheap glasses - two pair for $ 600+.AVOID THIS UNPROFESSIONAL AMATEUR retail business- TERRIBLE!

OMG! This place does not practice PROPER sanitation wipe downs between customers (check in tablet, seats in waiting area,eye examination machines and the glasses that customers try on). The service is not personable, because the eye technician was already getting the next persons information while I was still in the middle of my examination. He did not wear gloves nor did he ever wash his hands between customers. ( I WAS WATCHING)No customer service (ignored me until it was time to offer options outside of the $59.99 special) Last but not least they clean ALL glasses that customers bring in with the same cloth before giving them back to you. My whole experience was rather gross, I will not recommend and I would not return!

I made a last minute appointment becuase I broke my glases needed some new ones and it was time to get my eyes checked anyway. Everyone was super nice I got there about an hour earlier than the appointment and they proceeded to check me in and start the test very quick it was basically in and out everyone was very willing to help and clear out any doubts or questions you may have. They also are very open of the prices would definitely recommend!!

If your reading this just go to Americas Best. The promotional deal very misleading. Get 2 Pair of Eyeglasses for $59.95 is not correct. The deal is not for glasses but for frames and there not many good cheaper options as anyone would expect. Have in mind you’re going to be paying close to $200-$260 if you want to get two pairs of glasses. There were about 7-8 frames that were $59.95 but it’s a guessing game as no one helps you until your ready to checkout. At that point is where I found out lenses will cost me $200 alone since the technician never wanted to mention it before hand. Just told me “I’ll have to calculate it”.I wish I read the reviews before hand as I see many customers had the same experience I have. Really regret buying the glasses from here but I needed new glasses right away and of course Americans best only had available appointments 2weeks out. But I know where I’m going and telling others to go as well “Americas Best Contacts & Eyeglasses.”
