I am over joyed with my cataract surgery Dr Blodnick performed on me yesterday. He recommended the Panoptix lens and next day after surgery my eye is 20/20. I can hardly wait till my right eye is done next week! Dr Blodnick is a true caring doctor who listens and explains everything making it so clear. Arrived on time for an appointment and the doctor was disrespectfull of my husbands and my time. We waited almost 2 hours to see anyone!!! Thats unacceptable!! We regret using this eye exam center. Terrible service.

My LASIK experience exceeded my expectations. I was really impressed by Dr. Bs patience and experience during my consult. Was able to schedule my procedure right away, was only in the office for an hour for the LASIK procedure and back to work the next day.

I am not pleased with this location. They recently enacted a new policy and are rejecting patients. They accept my Vision Plan but not my medical plan and let me know they cant treat me 2 days prior to my appointment. I really need contacts and I wish i knew this information earlier. This makes no sense to me and is a huge inconvenience. I will never go or recommend them again.

Hard pass for wasting my time!!! I requested an appointment thru their website stating that I would like a routine exam and had a watery eye that I wanted examined. When the office called to make the appointment, I assumed it was for the entire request that I made. Today was the appointment. When I did all the initial paperwork, I was brought back to the initial exam room, and I was told that I would need to pick whether I wanted my watery eye exam or my routine exam done today, and that I would need to make another appointment to take care of the other.. What?? I understand if they have a policy, but since I was upfront about my needs, they should have been upfront about their policies.

I cant thank Dr. Blotnick enough. He was very thorough in providing information before, during, and after the procedure. I placed my complete trust in his abilities and was rewarded by restoration of my vision.Also, the staff is very courteous and considerate. This is a first-rate practice I would recommend to anyone.

The staff was very friendly and super efficient! I received every test for glaucoma to determine the need for further treatment and Dr. Peterson was very detailed and understandable in his explanations.

I have worn glasses for 57 years. I went in for my surgery and able to see better than ever without glasses. I appreciate the care and concern Dr. Blotnik and his medical staff showed during my procedures. I feel as though I have a new lease on life.

The nurses were phenomenal!! The receptionist with the northern accent was petty and condescending. I wasted an entire visit because I couldnt purchase eyeglasses for my children. Had I known prior, would have found an optometrist who accepted my insurance for BOTH services. SAME receptionist should have done so prior to receiving my personal information.

Used to love this practice but since Dr Kuravilla left, its a revolving door of retina specialists. Something is wrong at this practice as there are new nurses/assistants every time I go now too. Ill be looking for someone different now.

Dr. Blotnick has been my ophthalmologist since I moved to NC over 2 years ago. My experience has always been excellent right from the first visit. He is very experienced in his field, while making me feel very comfortable during my visits. He is very personable and always spends time necessary without making me feel rushed or as if I am meeting his daily numbers goal! The office staff is top-notch and makes you feel very important while providing relaxed atmosphere. My previous experience from out of state was just the opposite. That is why I can appreciate this type of care so much more. I would highly recommend Dr. Blotnick as a professional ophthalmology care provider!

I had cataract surgery on my left eye on a Wed and when i went for my post op check up the next day, my vision was nearly 20-20 already! Dr.Blotnik was professional and answered all my questions. I highly recommend him and Mecklenburg Eye Associates.

Dr. Blotnick performed my cataract removal, and replaced with multi-focal lenses. I have worn glasses or contacts, since I was 2, and now at 36 I have almost 20/20 vision with no glasses or contacts. Through the whole process Dr. Blotnick provided all of the necessary information, and helped to make me feel comfortable with the process of moving forward with the surgery. I would recommend him to anyone else needing cataract surgery!

Dr. Blotnick and his staff are professional, thorough, and friendly. I love my multifocal lenses. For the first time in my life I am able to see 20/20! The only downfall on the lenses is the ring around lights, but I presume that will get better in time Even if it doesnt, its a small price to pay for great vision.

I have just had cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and I had my last check up today. I am leaving Dr. Blotniks office with something that I havent had in many years - 20/20 vision! The surgery was pain free and Dr. Blotnik was thorough and kind throughout the process along with his staff.But while I am writing I want to express thanks to him for seeing me in 2013. I had a blood vessel to burst in my eye but I didnt realize it, I had no vision in my eye. I called his office on a Sunday afternoon and explained my symptoms. He said I need to see you. I thought he meant the next morning, but he said, no can you come to my office right now? I said yes, and I saw him that afternoon, and for that I am forever grateful.

It was bad experience, and I regret using this eye exam center. I wasted my mony, time, and efforts for incorrect prescription. After I did the eye eaxm with them, I ordered my glasses at Walmart vision center and the glasses was high-end pairs (cost me alot), but after I received them, they dont work with my eyes and they were uncomfortable. So I went back Mecklenburg eye Ass. to check them out and redo the exam; however, Alina said it is the manufacturer default not ours and she refused to redo the eye exam after I asked her to do the reexamination to make sure were is the problem, but they refused and insisted that their Prescription is correct. So I went to another eye exam center and paid again for the eye exam. The new prescription result is different from their one! I knew it because it is very obvious and nothing wrong with the glasses, it was their eye exam error and they dont want to acknowledge it. so I dont recommend them to anyone because they dont care about their customers, and they are here just to make money. Save your money and do it with another one who care and stand up for you.

I would like to thank Dr. Blotnick, he has been my eye doctor for 2 years and he is very efficient, he has helped me greatly. I had a Cataract surgery with an istent for Glaucoma, and the outcome was amazing. I havent been able to see this well in years. I would recommend Dr. Blotnick to everyone, he has a wonderful bedside manner and has always treated me with the most patience and care . No problems with my vision have been too small for him, he addresses every concern I have. I have complete confidence in his abilities to take good care of my eyes.

Best decision Ive made in a long time! Dr Blotnik performed LASIK surgery on me a year ago and I love the results! I no longer need glasses and am enjoying outdoor sports much more. I had cataract surgery on one eye and used the multifocal lens. Dr. Blotnick did a great job and his staff was wonderful. The day after the surgery he viewed the results and I had 20/25 vision up close. I no longer need readers. Its been two weeks now and the clarity is only getting better for distance and up close and absolutely no visual adverse effects of the multifocal lens. Would highly recommend Dr. Blotnick.

Dr Blotnick did my Lasik surgery about 15 years ago (2001) when I was 45 yrs old. Best investment in healthcare Ive ever made. I was near sided and contact lens were no longer comfortable for me. I had no problems with the procedure and have had no problems since - vision still 20/20. Dr Blotnick took the time be certain Lasik was a good alternative for me and made sure I understood every step of the post-procedure instructions.

Dr. Blotnick is an awesome Eye Specialist, he was very precise at the moment to describe me the diagnose of the pterygium. He described in detail the procedure of the surgery and we decided to do it. His team was very friendly and helpful to book me in and have the procedure done as soon as possible. The day of the surgery I was a little bit nervious but Dr. Blotnick kindness calmed me down. The follow up of the hole team was amazing, they let me feel I was in good hands. He had been very pleasant and informative relating to the surgery. I had zero pain during and after surgery. I am a 69 year old male and have been a patient of Dr. Blotnick for several years. He told me a couple years ago that I was beginning to get cataracts and would eventually need cataract surgery down the road. This year was that time and he recommended that I get the Tecnis Multifocal lens which is supposed to work for far and near vision. I had both eyes done and I am 20/20 in my left eye and 20/30 in right eye. My near vision is good but not perfect and might need to use some readers down the road. I have not had such clear vision in many years with my glasses and had worn glasses since I was in junior high school. It is soooo nice to not wear glasses. Dr. Blotnick did a great job explaining the procedure to me, giving me some options, and recommending the procedure and lens that I chose. I am very happy with my outcome.

I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes with Dr Blotnick. First let me say that Dr Blotnick is very skilled doctor and did an excellent job. Heres the problem - his staff completely botched the experience. First of all, I made it clear to three different employees that I both needed (due to insurance) and wanted to go to a specific hospital. I did so to ensure that I would be scheduled appropriately. As I was securing the date, I noticed they had put the wrong hospital on the information card. I immediately pointed this error out to the scheduling clerk on duty and was told it would be corrected immediately.I travel for a living and it is very important that I confirm my appointments to prevent excessive fees due to schedule changes. Then I got a phone call from the surgical coordinator informing me that I had in fact been scheduled to the wrong hospital. When I told her what had happened and what my needs were, she dismissed it, saying that it was simple to correct and that I needed to change the date of the surgery. I asked her who was going to pay my travel fees for changing my travel due to their error, because it certainly was not going to be me or my organization, she did not know what to do at all and never helped with the end result. I ended up going through a mountain of phone calls with my insurance to make sure that if I went ahead with the surgery on that day in the wrong hospital, I would still be covered. My coverage is excellent. I received several phone calls from the insurance and billing person, who talked to me as if she was some sort of bill collector and I was in arrears. This was not the case at all. We have always paid promptly and also had excellent insurance coverage. She actually threatened me with if you dont pay up front, you wont get the surgery when I questioned about what she had filed with the insurance providers.I expressed my dissatisfaction several times to the insurance and billing person and the surgical coordinator and nothing was done. I even had to push hard to get receipts so I could file my own insurance.I am STILL trying to get all the information I need to finish filing my insurance and it is almost a week out from the second surgery. Interesting since they push hard for their money and yet drag their feet to give the appropriate receipt.I had both eyes done and was satisfied with Dr Blotnick until I went for my next day follow-up. I went to the Randolph Rd office which is where I have always gone. I was told when I arrived that Dr Blotnick was in the University location. At no time, via paperwork or the confirming phone call, was the location mentioned. At no time did anyone on staff indicate that I was scheduled to go to a completely different location than I had ever gone to. So, I ended up seeing a completely different doctor who DID NOT perform the surgery. While he was nice, he was not Dr Blotnick. Again, their idea to correct their series of blunders was to expect me to jump through hoops.Finally, I spoke with the office manager about all this and was told that he agreed and that I had been treated very badly. And then he said, What do you want me to do about it? If that wasnt bad enough, he then said, you got eye surgery from one of the best in Charlotte, so.... in a very patronizing way, inferring that I show my gratitude by keeping quiet. When I told him the insurance person talked to me rudely like some bill collector or something, he said, she is a bill collecter. I was appalled and disgusted. I paid dearly for good service on every level and did not receive it. Frankly, with this arrogant and dismissive office manager, no wonder the office staff are lacking in professionalism and seem entirely incapable of listening to patients needs. I am done with this practice.

Dr. Blotnick is great. I had the Lasik procedure done back in 2002. I just had a check up and my vision is still 20/20. WOW. I tell everyone who is thinking abot it - not to think about it anymore -you must get it done. One of the best decisions I ever made. Not only for the Lasik but for choosing Mecklenburg Eye Assoc and Dr. Blotnick.

Arrived on time for an appointment and waited 50 minutes to see anyone. And then they couldnt process my insurance which covers vision.The contact lens department does not communicate well. I need new lenses and havent gotten a hold of anyone despite calling multiple times multiple days and leaving voicemails.Just terrible.

I was referred to Dr. Blotnick by a friend who also had a wonderful outcome with LASIK. I was very nervous and Dr. Blotnick and his staff made me feel comfortable, eased my fears, and helped me understand the procedure in detail. Dr. Blotnick is knowledgeable and skilled. All his patients and staff I came in contact with had nothing but good things to say about his work. I had been in contacts since the age of nine. Even the newest and thinnest of glasses lens still looked like coke bottles because my eyesight was so horrible. LASIK has been a life changer for me. Honestly, it still feels like a miracle. If I would have known several years ago how smooth and pain-free cataract surgery would be I would not have waited so long to have them done. It has been almost 3 years since my LASIK surgery, and Im still 20/15 in both eyes. Before my surgery, I had contemplated LASIK for years, and was the type of person that could never mess with my eyes, etc. - I could not even wear contacts because of the inability to put contacts in and otherwise touch my eyes. I finally got the courage to go through with LASIK, and my only regret was that I did not do it sooner. Im very thankful for Dr. Blotnick and his counseling and care throughout the process. I highly recommend LASIK with Dr. Blotnick.
